1The adsorption properties of NaY zeolite for separation of ethylene glycol and 1,2-butanediol: Experiment and molecular modelling显示文摘The separation of ethylene glycol(EG)and 1,2-butanediol(1,2-BDO)azeotrope in the synthesis process of EG via coal and biomass is becoming of increasing commercial and environmental importance.Selective adsorption is deemed as the most promising methods because of energy saving and environment favorable.In this paper,NaY zeolite was used to separate 1,2-BDO from EG,and its adsorption properties was then investigated.The isotherms of EG and 1,2-BDO in vapor and liquid phases from 298 to 328 K indicated that they fitted Langmuir model quite well,and the NaY zeolite absorbent favored EG more than 1,2-BDO.The Grand Canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC)and molecular dynamics(MD)simulation techniques were conducted to investigate the competition adsorption and diffusion characteristics in different adsorption regions.It was observed that EG and 1,2-BDO molecules all have the most probable locations of the center of the 12-membered ring near the Na cations.The diffusivities of EG are lower than those of 1,2-BDO at the same adsorption concentration.At last,the breakthrough curves of the binary mixture regressed from the empirical Dose–Response model in fixed-bed column showed that the adsorption selectivity of EG could reach to as high as 2.43,verified that the NaY zeolite could effectively separate EG from 1,2-BDO.This work is also helpful for further separation of other dihydric alcohol mixtures from coal and biomass fermentation.Pei Xiong Peng He Yixin Qu Liguo Wang Yan Cao Shuang Xu Jiaqiang Chen Muhammad Ammar Huiquan Li 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,1:3

3In vivo mice brain microcirculation monitoring based on contrast-enhanced SD-OCT显示文摘In this paper,we proposed a contrast-enhanced homemade spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)method for monitoring of brain microcirculation.We used the polyethylene glycol(PEG)-ylated gold nanorods(GNRs)as a contrast-enhanced agent,obtained clearly 2D and 3D OCT images of blood vessels and dynamic changes of probes in mouse blood vessels.Owing to high scattering of the PEG-GNRs,more tiny blood vessels can be imaged and the OCT signal can be enhanced by 5.87 dB after injection of PEG-GNRs for 20 min,the enhancement then declined gradually for 60 min.Our results demonstrate an effective technique for the enhanced imaging of blood vessels in vivo,especially for studies of the brain microcirculation,which could be serviced for disease mechanism research and therapeutic drug monitoring.Shaozhuang Yang Liwei Liu Yixin Chang Ningning Zhang Kun Liu Liang Hong Bingling Chen Yue Zhao Rui Hu Junle Qu 2019Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2019,,1:2

15Harnessing strategies for enhancing diabetic wound healing from the perspective of spatial inflammation patterns显示文摘Diabetic wound is a great threat to patient’s health and lives.The refractory diabetic wound shows spatial inflammation patterns,in which the early-wound pattern depicts a deprived acute inflammatory response,and the long-term non-healing wound pattern delineates an excessive and persistent inflammation due to the delayed immune cell infiltration in a positive feedback loop.In this work,we give points to some strategies to normalize the dysregulated immune process based on the spatial inflammation pattern differences in diabetic wound healing.First of all,inhibiting inflammatory response to avoid subsequent persistent and excessive immune infiltration for the early diabetic wound is proposed.However,diabetic wounds are unperceptive trauma that makes patients miss the best treatment time.Therefore,we also introduce two strategies for the long-term non-healing diabetic wound.One strategy is about changing chronic wounds to acute ones,which aims to rejuvenate M1 macrophages in diabetic wounds and make spontaneous M2 polarization possible.To activate the controllable proinflammatory response,western medicine delivers proinflammatory molecules while traditional Chinese medicine develops“wound-pus promoting granulation tissue growth theory”.Another strategy to solve long-term non-healing wounds is seeking switches that target M1/M2 transition directly.These investigations draw a map that delineates strategies for enhancing diabetic wound healing from the perspective of spatial inflammation patterns systematically.Yixin Cai Kangli Chen Changsheng Liu Xue Qu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,10:0

17A suture-free, shape self-adaptive and bioactive PEG-Lysozyme implant for Corneal stroma defect repair and rapid vision restoration显示文摘limitation of donor tissue shortage clinically. In addition, suturing-needed transplantation potentially causes postoperative complications. Herein, we design a PEG-Lysozyme injective hydrogel as a suture-free, shape self-adaptive, bioactive implant for corneal stroma defect repair. This implant experiences a sol-gel phase transition via an in situ amidation reaction between 4-arm-PEG-NHS and lysozyme. The physicochemical properties of PEG-Lysozyme can be tuned by the components ratio, which confers the implant mimetic corneal modulus and provides tissue adhesion to endure increased intraocular pressure. In vitro tests prove that the implant is beneficial to Human corneal epithelial cells growth and migration due to the bioactivity of lysozyme. Rabbit lamellar keratoplasty experiment demonstrates that the hydrogel can be filled into defect to form a shape-adaptive implant adhered to native stroma. The implant promotes epithelialization and stroma integrity, recovering the topology of injured cornea to normal. A newly established animal forging behavior test prove a rapid visual restoration of rabbits when use implant in a suture free manner. 18Displacement of shale gas confined in illite shale by flue gas: A molecular simulation study显示文摘The shale gas is an unconventional supplementary energy to traditional fossil energy,and is stored in layered rocks with low permeability and porosity,which leads to the difficulty for exploration of shale gas.Therefore,using CO_(2) gas to displace shale gas has become an important topic.In this work,we use molecular simulations to study the displacement of shale gas by flue gas rather than CO_(2),in which flue gas is modeled as a binary mixture of CO_(2) and N_(2) and the shale model is represented by inorganic Illite and organic methylnaphthalene.CH_(4) is used as a shale gas model.Compared to the pure CO_(2),flue gas is easily available and the cost of displacement by flue gas would become lower.Results indicate that the pore size of shale is an important factor in the process of displacing shale gas and simultaneously sequestrating flue gas,while the flue gas N_(2)-CO_(2) ratio shows a small effect on the process of CH_(4) displacement,because the high partial pressure of flue gas is the main driving force for displacement of shale gas.Moreover,the geological condition also has a significant effect on the process of CH_(4) displacement by flue gas.Therefore,we suggest that the burial depth of 1 km is suitable operation condition for shale gas displacement.It is expected that this work provides a useful guidance for exploitation of shale gas and sequestration of greenhouse gas.Tong Tao Shitao Wang Yixin Qu Dapeng Cao 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:0
