| 1 | Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased. | NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22: | 51 |

| 4 | Microstructure and tensile properties of low cost titanium alloys at different cooling rate显示文摘Titanium and titanium alloys have several advantages, but the cost of titanium alloys is very expensive compared with the traditional metal materials. This article introduces two new low-cost titanium alloys Ti-2.1Cr-1.3Fe (TCF alloy) and Ti-3Al-2.1Cr-1.3Fe (TACF alloy). In this study, we used Cr-Fe master alloy as one of the raw materials to develop the two new alloys. We introduce the microstructure and tensile properties of the two new alloys from β solution treated with different cooling methods. Optical microscopy (OM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were employed to analyze the phase constitution, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the fracture surfaces. The results indicate that the microstructures consist of β grain boundary and α′ martensite after water quenching (WQ), β matrix and α phase after air cooling (AC) and furnace cooling (FC), respectively. Also, the microstructure is the typical basketweave structures after FC. Of course, athermal ω is also observed by TEM after WQ. The strength increases with decreasing cooling rates and the plasticity is reversed. Because of the athermal ω, the strength and ductility are highest and lowest when the cooling method is WQ. The strength of TACF alloy is higher than the TCF alloy, but the plasticity is lower. The fracture surfaces are almost entirely covered with dimples under the cooling methods of AC and FC. | 5 | Review of cylinder block/valve plate interface in axial piston pumps: Theoretical models,experimental investigations, and optimal design显示文摘Axial piston pumps have been widely used in aircraft hydraulic systems to supply the system with pressurized fluid. The continuous improvement of the aircraft performance has put forward the demand on aviation piston pumps for high power density, safety, and reliability. The lubricating interfaces in axial piston machines are the key design issue that greatly determines the pump performance and service life. The cylinder block/valve plate interface is one of these critical lubricating interfaces and has received considerable attention from many researchers in the last half century. This study aims to review the state-of-the-art literature on the cylinder block/valve plate interface comprehensively and systematically. First, we introduce various theoretical models developed to investigate the lubrication behaviors of the interface and compare them in terms of their assumptions and limitations. Second, the experimental studies on the cylinder block/valve plate interface are presented comprehensively, where the involved test rigs are divided into three types according to their fidelity levels and measurement functionality. Third, we summarize some typical approaches of structure optimization, surface shaping, and surface strengthening, which help improve the load-carrying and anti-wear capacities of the interface under severe operating conditions. | 6 | Intestinal toxicity of deoxynivalenol is limited by supplementation with Lactobacillus plantarum JM113 and consequentially altered gut microbiota in broiler chickens显示文摘Background: Limited research has focused on the effect of Lactobacillus on the intestinal toxicity of deoxynivalenol(DON).The present study was conducted to investigate the role of Lactobacillus plantarum(L.plantarum) JM113 in protecting against the intestinal toxicity caused by DON.Methods: A total of 144 one-day-old healthy Arbor Acres broilers were randomly distributed into 3 treatments,including the CON(basal diet),the DON(extra 10 mg/kg deoxynivalenol),and the DL(extra 1 × 109 CFU/kg L.plantarum JM113 based on DON group) treatments.The growth performance,organ indexes,intestinal morphology,pancreatic digestive enzymes,intestinal secreted immunoglobulin A(sIgA),jejunal transcriptome,and intestinal microbiota were evaluated.Results: Compared with the CON and DL groups,the DON supplementation altered intestinal morphology,especially in duodenum and jejunum,where villi were shorter and crypts were deeper(P < 0.05).Meanwhile,the significantly decreased mRNA expression of jejunal claudin-1 and occludin(P < 0.05),ileal rBAT and jejunal GLUT1 of 21-day-old broilers(P < 0.05),as well as duodenal PepT1 and ileal rBAT of 42-day-old broilers were identified in the DON group.Moreover,supplementation with L.plantarum JM113 could increase duodenal expression of IL-10 and IL-12 of 21-dayold broilers,ileal s IgA of 42-day-old broilers,and the bursa of Fabricius index of 21-day-old broilers.Further jejunal transcriptome proved that the genes related to the intestinal absorption and metabolism were significantly reduced in the DON group but a significant increase when supplemented with extra L.plantarum JM113.Furthermore,the bacteria related to nutrient utilization,including the Proteobacteria,Escherichia,Cc-115(P < 0.05),Lactobacillus and Prevotella(P < 0.1) were all decreased in the DON group.By contrast,supplementation with L.plantarum JM113 increased the relative abundance of beneficial bacterium,including the Bacteroidetes,Roseburia,Anaerofustis,Anaerostipe,and Ruminococcus bromi(P < 0.05).Specifically,the increased abundance of bacteria in the DL group could be proved by the significantly increased caecal content of propionic acid,n-Butyric acid,and total short-chain fatty acid.Conclusions: L.plantarum JM113 enhanced the digestion,absorption,and metabolic functions of the gut when challenged with DON by reducing the injury to intestinal barriers and by increasing the abundance of beneficial bacterium. | Shengru Wu Yanli Liu Yongle Duan Fangyuan Wang Fangshen Guo Fang Yan Xiaojun Yang Xin Yang | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,1: | 7 |
| 7 | Improvement of Foaming and Emulsifying Properties of Gluten by Conjugation with Fructose through Maillard Reaction显示文摘Gluten has poor emulsifying and foaming ability due to its amino acid composition. In this study, Maillard reaction was used to improve the emulsifying and foaming properties of gluten. The processing conditions for the preparation of gluten-fructose conjugates were optimized by using Box-Behnken model to achieve optimum foaming and emulsifying activity, respectively.The results showed that glycated gluten exhibited enhanced emulsifying activity compared to native control. The processing conditions for the preparation of gluten-fructose conjugates with optimum emulsifying activity were as follows: the temperature was 48℃, reaction time was 72 h, and maltose/gluten(W/W) ratio was 125%. Under such condition, the average emulsifying activity was 66.54%, being improved by about 2.5 times compared with that of native control. The Foaming properties of gluten also increased significantly by glycation modification. The optimum conditions of response were as below: the temperature was 48℃, reaction time was 66 h, and maltose/gluten ratio(W/W) was 110%. | 8 | A novel approach for predicting inlet pressure of aircraft hydraulic pumps under transient conditions显示文摘Cavitation caused by insufficient suction is a major factor that influences the life of aircraft pumps. Currently, pressurizing the tank can solve the cavitation problem under steady largeflow conditions. However, this method is not always effective under transient conditions(from zero flow to full flow in a very short time). Moreover, to apply and design other measures, such as a boost impeller, the suction dynamics during the transient period must be investigated. In this paper,a novel approach based on the pressure wave propagation theory is proposed for predicting the inlet pressure of an aircraft pump under transient conditions. First, a dynamic model of a typical aircraft pump is established in the form of differential equations. Then, the transient flow model of the inlet line is described using momentum and continuity equations, and the governing equations are discretized by the method of characteristics and the finite difference method. The simulated results are in good agreement with the results from verification tests. Further simulation analysis indicates that the wave velocity and transient time may influence the inlet and reservoir pressure as well as the size of the inlet line. Finally, solutions for upgrading the inlet pressure are discussed. | 9 | PSA controls hepatic lipid metabolism by regulating the NRF2 signaling pathway显示文摘The activity of proteinase is reported to correlate with the development and progression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase(PSA/NPEPPS)is an integral nontransmembrane enzyme that functions to catalyze the cleavage of amino acids near the N-terminus of polypeptides.A previous study suggested that this enzyme acts as a regulator of neuropeptide activity;however,the metabolic function of this enzyme in the liver has not been explored.Here,we identified the novel role of PSA in hepatic lipid metabolism.Specifically,PSA expression was lower in fatty livers from NAFLD patients and mice(HFD,ob/ob,and db/db).PSA knockdown in cultured hepatocytes exacerbated diet-induced triglyceride accumulation through enhanced lipogenesis and attenuated fatty acid β-oxidation.Moreover,PSA mediated activation of the master regulator of antioxidant response,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2),by stabilizing NRF2 protein expression,which further induced downstream antioxidant enzymes to protect the liver from oxidative stress and lipid overload.Accordingly,liver-specific PSA overexpression attenuated hepatic lipid accumulation and steatosis in ob/ob mice.Furthermore,in human liver tissue samples,decreased PSA expression correlated with the progression of NAFLD.Overall,our findings suggest that PSA is a pivotal regulator of hepatic lipid metabolism and its antioxidant function occurs by suppressing NRF2 ubiquitination.Moreover,PSA may be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for treating NAFLD. | Bangliang Huang Xin Xiong Linlin Zhang Xiufei Liu Yuren Wang Xiaoli Gong Qian Sang Yongling Lu Hua Qu Hongting Zheng Yi Zheng | 2021 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,7: | 4 |
| 10 | Digital fixed-frequency hysteresis current control of a BLDC motor applied for aerospace electrically powered actuators显示文摘In the conventional cascade control structure of aerospace electrically powered actuators, the current(or electromagnetic torque) loop plays a critical role in realizing a rapid response for a digitally controlled Brush Less Direct Current(BLDC) motor. Hysteresis Current Control(HCC) is an effective method in improving the performance of current control for a BLDC motor.Nevertheless, the varying modulating frequency in the traditional HCC causes severe problems on the safety of power devices and the electromagnetic compatibility design. A triangular carrier-based fixed-frequency HCC strategy is expanded by relaxing the constraints on the rising and descending rates of the winding current to advance the capability of HCC to realize fixed-frequency modulation in the steady state. Based on that, a new flexible-bound-size quasi-fixed-frequency HCC is proposed, and the range feasible to realize fixed-frequency modulation control can cover the entire running process in the steady state. | 13 | Temporal and Spatial Variability of Dissolved Organic Carbon Concentration in the Xijiang River, South China显示文摘A whole year analysis of riverine dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations in the Xijiang River (XJR), South China, showed that the mean riverine DOC concentration (1.24 mg L-1) in the XJR was notably lower than the averaged value (5.75 mg L-1) of the global riverine DOC concentration in several major rivers. There is an inconspicuous monthly fluctuation of the DOC signal in the XJR, but on a semi-yearly time scale, however, the riverine DOC concentration had significant difference between hydrological seasons. The DOC level during the flood season (1.18 mg L-1) was less than that during the non-flood season (1.40 mg L-1). Owing to the concomitance of the flushing and dilution effects of the runoff during the high-water period, the variation of riverine DOC concentration with discharge in the XJR differed from that reported in many other major rivers. The DOC export flux above the city of Wuzhou was about 0.62× 106 g C km-2 yr-1. The DOC transported during the '056' Massive Flood period comprised 30.35% of the annual total, while the discharge accounted for 36.32% of the total annual flow. | 14 | Mechanism and effects of snow accumulations and controls by lightweight snow fences显示文摘This paper investigates the snowdrifts caused by lightweight fences along the lines on the flatland through the computational fluid dynamics method. The characteristic ambient flows around the solid fences and the porous fences with varied heights and bottom wind gaps are simulated in the numerical model, and the working mechanism of ‘‘interception'' and ‘‘scouring'' of the lightweight fences are analyzed. Based on the friction velocities near the ground, two sets of criteria are proposed to evaluate the deposition and erosion effects of different fences. According to flow separation and reattachment, the simplified relationships between the most likely positions for snow accumulations and fence parameters are developed. The study indicates that the capabilities for snow interception by the solid fence without wind gap and the distance from which to the second snow coverage center both increase with the fence height. | 15 | Long-term variation of storm surge-associated waves in the Bohai Sea显示文摘When investigating the long-term variation of wave characteristics as associated with storm surges in the Bohai Sea,the Simulating Waves Nearshore(SWAN)model and Advanced CIRCulation(ADCIRC)model were coupled to simulate 32 storm surges between 1985 and 2014.This simulation was validated by reproducing three actual wave processes,showing that the simulated significant wave height(SWH)and mean wave period agreed well with the actual measurements.In addition,the long-term variations in SWH,pattems in SWH extremes along the Bohai Sea coast,the 100-year retum period SWH extreme distribution,and waves conditional probability distribution were calculated and analyzed.We find that the trend of SWH extremes in most of the coastal stations was negative,among which the largest trend was-0.03 m/a in the western part of Liaodong Bay.From the 100-year return period of the SWH distribution calculated in the Gumbel method,we find that the SWH extremes associated with storm surges decreased gradually from the center of the Bohai Sea to the coast.In addition,the joint probability of wave and surge for the entire Bohai Sea in 100-year return period was determined by the Gumbel logistic method.We therefore,assuming a minimum surge of one meter across the entire Bohai Sea,obtained the spatial SWH distribution.The conclusions of this study are significant for offshore and coastal engineering design. | WANG Yanping LIU Yongling MAO Xinyan CHI Yutao JIANG Wensheng | 2019 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,6: | 2 |

| 17 | Mesoporous silica stabilized MOF nanoreactor for highly selective semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene via synergistic effect of Pd and Ru single site显示文摘Selective semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene to styrene is a crucial step in the polystyrene industry.Although Pd-based catalysts are widely used in this reaction due to their excellent hydrogenation activity,the selectivity for styrene remains a great challenge.Herein,we designed a mesoporous silica stabilized Pd-Ru@ZIF-8(MS Pd-Ru@ZIF-8)nanoreactor with novel Pd and Ru single site synergistic catalytical system for semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene.The nanoreactor exhibited a superior performance,achieving 98%conversion of phenylacetylene and 96%selectivity to styrene.Turnover frequency(TOF)of nanoreactor was up to as high as 2,188 h^(−1),which was 25 times and 5 times more than the single metal species catalysts,mesoporous silica stabilized Pd@ZIF-8 nanoreactor(MS Pd@ZIF-8),and mesoporous silica stabilized Ru@ZIF-8 nanoreactor(MS Ru@ZIF-8).This catalytic activity was attributed to the synergistic effect of Pd and Ru single site anchored strongly into the framework of ZIF-8,which reduced the desorption energy of styrene and increased the hydrogenation energy barrier of styrene.Importantly,since the ordered mesoporous silica was introduced into the nanoreactor shell to stabilize ZIF-8,MS Pd-Ru@ZIF-8 showed excellent reusability and stability.After the five cycles,the catalytical activity and selectivity still remained.This work provides insights for a synergistic catalytic system based on single-site active sites for selective hydrogenation reactions. | Zhenxing Li Mingliang Hu Jiahao Liu Weiwei Wang Yanjie Li Wenbin Fan Yixuan Gong Jiasai Yao Ping Wang Miao He Yongle Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |
