| 1 | Phase 1 clinical trial demonstrated that MUC1 positive metastatic seminal vesicle cancer can be effectively eradicated by modified Anti-MUC1 chimeric antigen receptor transduced T cells显示文摘Recent progress in chimeric antigen receptor-modified T-cell(CAR-T cell) technology in cancer therapy is extremely promising, especially in the treatment of patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In contrast, due to the hostile immunosuppressive microenvironment of a solid tumor, CAR T-cell accessibility and survival continue to pose a considerable challenge, which leads to their limited therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we constructed two anti-MUC1 CAR-T cell lines. One set of CAR-T cells contained SM3 single chain variable fragment(sc Fv) sequence specifically targeting the MUC1 antigen and co-expressing interleukin(IL) 12(named SM3-CAR). The other CAR-T cell line carried the SM3 sc Fv sequence modified to improve its binding to MUC1 antigen(named p SM3-CAR) but did not co-express IL-12. When those two types of CAR-T cells were injected intratumorally into two independent metastatic lesions of the same MUC1+ seminal vesicle cancer patient as part of an interventional treatment strategy, the initial results indicated no side-effects of the MUC1 targeting CAR-T cell approach, and patient serum cytokines responses were positive. | 2 | Thermal behaviors and heavy metal vaporization of phosphatized tannery sludge in incineration process显示文摘The high concentration of heavy metal (Cu, Cr, Zn, Pb) in tannery sludge causes severe heavy metal emissions in the process of incineration. In the present investigation, the tannery sludge was treated with 85% phosphoric acid before the incineration process in the tube furnace to control the heavy metal emissions. The thermal behavior and heavy metal vaporization of pre-treated tannery sludge were investigated, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were also implemented to elucidate the chemical mechanisms responsible for the thermal behavior and weakening of heavy metal vaporization of pre-treated tannery sludge. The results obtained show that the differences in thermal behaviors between untreated and pre-treated tannery sludge are caused by the reaction of phosphoric acid and calcium carbonate. | 3 | Structure of the Upper Mantle and Transition Zone Beneath the South China Block Imaged by Finite Frequency Tomography显示文摘We applied the finite frequency tomography method to S wave data recorded by 350 broadband stations beneath the South China Block(SCB) and its surroundings from earthquakes occurring between July 2007 and July 2010,to better understand upper mantle deformation.Differential travel-times in the pair of stations with appropriate weighting for each station are used in the inversion.Our results are consistent with previous tomography that show a high velocity anomaly beneath the Sichuan basin and a high velocity anomaly in the transition zone beneath the Yangtze Craton.However,the resolution of mantle heterogeneity provides new insight into the tectonic framework of subduction of Burmese lithosphere in the west part of the study region and subduction of oceanic lithosphere in the east.In the subduction realm,west of 107°E,a significant fast S-wave anomaly is located on the southeast of Sichuan Basin.East of 107°E,and two narrow and discontinuous fast S-wave anomalies occur at a depth of 400-600 km beneath the middle of the South China block overlain by the pronounced low S-wave anomalies at a depth of 100 and 400 km.If the fast anomalies located in the mantle transition zone represent stagnant slabs,their fragmented nature may suggest that they could be produced by different episodes of subduction beneath western Pacific island and the above slow velocity anomaly may associated with the back-arc regions of ongoing subduction.In addition,tomography also reveals an anomalously high S-wave velocity continental root extends eastward to a depth 400 km beneath the eastern Sichuan Basin.This anomaly may be related to eastern extrusion of Indian lithosphere associated with the collision of India and Eurasia.Moreover,our results also show large slow anomalies beneath the Red River fault region connected to deeper anomalies beneath the South China Fold Belt and South China Sea.AH these observations are consistent with the scenario that the South China block has been built by both of subduction of Paleopacific plate and eastward subduction of Burma microplate. | SUN Ya LIU Jianxin TANG Youcai CHEN Jiawei ZHOU Keping CHEN Bo | 2016 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,5: | 8 |
| 4 | Crust and upper mantle structures beneath Northeast China from receiver function studies显示文摘P-wave and S-wave receiver function analyses have been performed along a profile consisted of 27broadband seismic stations to image the crustal and upper mantle discontinuities across Northeast China.The results show that the average Moho depth varies from about37 km beneath the Daxing'anling orogenic belt in the west to about 33 km beneath the Songliao Basin,and to about35 km beneath the Changbai mountain region in the east.Our results reveal that the Moho is generally flat beneath the Daxing'anling region and a remarkable Moho offset(about 4 km) exists beneath the basin-mountain boundary,the Daxing'anling-Taihang Gravity Line.Beneath the Tanlu faults zone,which seperates the Songliao Basin and Changbai region,the Moho is uplift and the crustal thickness changes rapidly.We interpret this feature as that the Tanlu faults might deeply penetrate into the upper mantle,and facilitate the mantle upwelling along the faults during the Cenozoic era.The average depth of the lithosphereasthenosphere boundary(LAB) is *80 km along the profile which is thinner than an average thickness of a continental lithosphere.The LAB shows an arc-like shape in the basin,with the shallowest part approximately beneath the center of the basin.The uplift LAB beneath the basin might be related to the extensive lithospheric stretching in theMesozoic.In the mantle transition zone,a structurally complicated 660 km discontinuity with a maximum 35 km depression beneath the Changbai region is observed.The35 km depression is roughly coincident with the location of the stagnant western pacific slab on top of the 660 km discontinuity revealed by the recent P wave tomography. | Zhen Guo Yuliang Cao Xianguang Wang Y.John Chen Jieyuan Ning Weiguang He Youcai Tang Yongge Feng | 2014 | Earthquake Science2014,27,3: | 6 |
| 5 | Epigenetic modification in histone deacetylase deletion strain of Calcarisporium arbuscula leads to diverse diterpenoids显示文摘Epigenetic modifications have been proved to be a powerful way to activate silent gene clusters and lead to diverse secondary metabolites in fungi. Previously, inactivation of a histone H3 deacetylase in Calcarisporium arbuscula had led to pleiotropic activation and overexpression of more than 75% of the biosynthetic genes and isolation of ten compounds. Further investigation of the crude extract of C. arbuscula Δhda A strain resulted in the isolation of twelve new diterpenoids including three cassanes(1-3), one cleistanthane(4), six pimaranes(5-10), and two isopimaranes(11 and 12) along with two know cleistanthane analogues. Their structures were elucidated by extensive NMR spectroscopic data analysis. | 6 | Doppler effect of the rupture process of the great M_W7.9 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘In this study we performed a classical spectrum analysis of seismic waveforms recorded at far field stations of the great MW7.9 Wenchuan earthquake to observe the shifts of the corner frequency with azimuth due to the Doppler effect.Our results show that this damaging great earthquake had a dominating rupture propagation direction of 64.0°.The equivalent radius of the fault rupture surface was estimated to be 33 km,yielding the rupture area of about 3 500 km2.Thus the length of the rupture fault surface is about 230 km if the depth(or width) extent is 15 km.The computer program developed in this study can quickly provide the information about the source of a future large(damaging) earthquake,which could be very useful for predicting aftershocks and planning the rescue operations. | Ge Jin Youcai Tang Shiyong Zhou Yongshun John Chen | 2010 | Earthquake Science2010,23,6: | 2 |
