2Isolation and characterization of two genes encoding polygalacturonase-inhibiting protein from Populus deltoides显示文摘Polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins (PGIPs) are extracellular proteins that belong to the leucine-rich repeat (LRR) protein super-family. PGIPs inhibit fungal polygalacturonases (PGs) and promote accumulation of oligogalacturonides, which activate plant defense responses. PGIPs play important roles in resistance to infection of pathogens. In this study, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reac-tion (RT-PCR) and RNA ligase-mediated rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RLM-RACE) were used to isolate the full-length PGIP cDNA from Populus deltoides (GenBank accession no. of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4: EF684913 and EF684912). Domain analysis revealed that the deduced amino acid sequences of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4 had a typical PGIP topology. Phylogenetic analysis of known PGIPs indicated that the two PdPGIPs were clustered to the defense-related PGIP clade. Using real-time RT-PCR, the expression patterns of the two PdPGIPs following treatment with a fungal pathogen and defense-related signaling molecules were studied. The expression levels of PdPGIP2 and PdPGIP4 were both up-regulated when inoculated with the phytopathogenic fungus Marssonina brunnea. 4Enhancing the performance of organic solar cells by modification of cathode with a self-assembled monolayer of aromatic organophosphonic acid显示文摘We use a single-molecule self-assembled layer of an aromatic organophosphonic acid(2PACz) to modify the cathode interface layer in inverted organic solar cells(OSCs). The modified OSCs not only have an obvious improvement in power conversion efficiency(PCE), but also demonstrate greatly enhanced air stability. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy shows that the work function of cathode interlayer after modification by 2PACz is more suitable for electron extraction. In addition, the surface energy is reduced without affecting the film deposition, which will be beneficial to reduce the interfacial traps. As a result,the PCE of OSCs based on the PBDB-T:IT-M system is increased, and its stability in air is greatly improved(remaining 88% of its initial PCE after 555 h in air).
