1Passive source range estimation with a single receiver in shallow water显示文摘An approach for long-range passive impulsive source ranging with a single receiver in shallow water is proposed,which utilizes the frequency spectrum of the warped signal autocorrelation function via warping transform.For an ideal waveguide,there are invariable frequency features both in the frequency spectrum of the warped signal corresponding to modal cut-off frequencies and the warped signal autocorrelation function due to modal interference.These intrinsic frequency features can be used to passive source ranging.So,the approximate relationship between the frequency of warped signal at an unknown source range and the intrinsic frequency extracted by the time warping transform is derived.These rules can be generalized to an actual shallow water waveguide.Employing an acoustic model to offer the invariable frequency spectrum features,the impulsive signal data collected by a single hydrophone in the North Yellow Sea in December 2011 are analyzed to verify the proposed source ranging approach.The estimated ranges are in good agreement with the ranges measured by GPS,and the mean relative error of range estimation is less than 10%.QI Yubo ZHOU Shihong REN Yun WANG Dejun LIU Jianjun FENG Xiqiang 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,1:13
2Multipartite entanglement concentration for nitrogen-vacancy center and microtoroidal resonator system显示文摘We describe a high efcient entanglement concentration protocol(ECP)for multi-particle less-entangled nitrogen-vacancy(N-V)center and microtoroidal resonator system.In the ECP,we only require one pair of less-entangled state,two auxiliary N-V center in microcavities and some single photons.After the photon passing through the microcavity,by measuring the polarization of the photon,a maximally entangled W state can be obtained with some success probability.This ECP does not need to destroy the solid qubit,which makes it more feasible.Moreover,by resorting to more single photons,it can be repeated to reach a high success probability.These features make this ECP useful in current long-distance quantum communications.SHENG YuBo LIU Jiong ZHAO ShengYang ZHOU Lan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:10
3A wearable noncontact free-rotating hybrid nanogenerator for self-powered electronics显示文摘Self-powerability is a new trend in the development of portable devices.Harvesting biomechanical energy to power personal information electronics is of great significance.In this work,we report a wearable noncontact freerotating hybrid nanogenerator(WRG),which is constituted by a triboelectric nanogenerator and an electromagnetic generator.A continuous output over 2 seconds can be achieved during one instantaneous incentive by external force,which is improved by two orders of magnitude compared to other wearable nanogenerators due to its unique mechanical energy storage design.The WRG can be integrated into shoes to generate an output energy of 14.68 mJ in each stepping,which meets the power requirements of most personal information electronics.The wireless sensor,GPS,and smartphone can be powered by the WRG continuously.The WRG is expected to be applied in self-powered information electronics extensively in the future.Dongjie Jiang Han Ouyang Bojing Shi Yang Zou Puchuan Tan Xuecheng Qu Shengyu Chao Yuan Xi Chaochao Zhao Yubo Fan Zhou Li 2020InfoMat2020,2,6:8
4Frequency invariability of acoustic field and passive source range estimation in shallow water显示文摘The frequency invariability of the warped modal signal and the warped signal autocorrelation function in shallow water is discussed.A method is proposed for passive source-range estimation based on the frequency invariability and warping transform of signal autocorrelation function received by a single hydrophone in a range-independent or weak range-dependent shallow water environment.In the method,a guided source with a known range is employed to provide the crucial and relative invariant scaled features.The experimental data in shallow water with an iso-speed profile and a fluctuated thermocline are used to verify this approach.The relative errors of the source range estimation are basically less than 10%.ZHOU ShiHong QI YuBo REN Yun 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,2:8

6Ambient volatile organic compounds at a receptor site in the Pearl River Delta region:Variations,source apportionment and effects on ozone formation显示文摘We present the continuously measurements of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)at a receptor site(Wan Qing Sha,WQS)in the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region from September to November of 2017.The average mixing ratios of total VOCs(TVOCs)was 36.3±27.9 ppbv with the dominant contribution from alkanes(55.5%),followed by aromatics(33.3%).The diurnal variation of TVOCs showed a strong photochemical consumption during daytime,resulting in the formation of ozone(O_(3)).Five VOC sources were resolved by the positive matrix factorization(PMF)model,including solvent usage(28.6%),liquid petroleum gas(LPG)usage(24.4%),vehicle exhaust(21.0%),industrial emissions(13.2%)and gasoline evaporation(12.9%).The regional transport air masses from the upwind cities of south China can result in the elevated concentrations of TVOCs.Low ratios of TVOCs/NO_(x)(1.53±0.88)suggested that the O_(3) formation regime at WQS site was VOC-limited,which also confirmed by a photochemical box model with the master chemical mechanism(PBM-MCM).Furthermore,the observation on high-O_(3) episode days revealed that frequent O_(3) outbreaks at WQS were mainly caused by the regional transport of anthropogenic VOCs especially for aromatics and the subsequent photochemical reactions.This study provides valuable information for policymakers to propose the effective control strategies on photochemical pollution in a regional perspective.Yao Meng Junwei Song Lewei Zeng Yingyi Zhang Yan Zhao Xufei Liu Hai Guo Liuju Zhong Yubo Ou Yan Zhou Tao Zhang Dingli Yue Senchao Lai 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:5

8Efficient N-particle W state concentration with different parity check gates显示文摘We present a universal way to concentrate an arbitrary N-particle less-entangled W state into a maximally entangled W state with different parity check gates.It comprises two protocols.The first protocol is based on the linear optical elements,say the partial parity check gate and the second protocol uses the quantum nondemolition measurement to construct the complete parity check gate.Both protocols can achieve the concentration task.These protocols have several advantages.First,they can obtain a maximally entangled W state only with the help of some single photons,which greatly reduces the number of entanglement resources.Second,in the first protocol,only linear optical elements are required,which is feasible with current techniques.Third,the second protocol can be repeated to perform the concentration step and obtain a higher success probability.All these advantages make it quite useful in current quantum communication and computation applications.SHENG YuBo PAN Jun GUO Rui ZHOU Lan WANG Lei 2015Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,6:4
9A graphene rheostat for highly durable and stretchable strain sensor显示文摘Strain sensors for human health monitoring are of paramount importance in wearable medical diagnostics and personal health monitoring.Despite extensive studies,strain sensors with both high durability and stretchability are still desired,particularly with the stability for different environmental conditions.Here,we report a series of strain sensors possessing the graphene network with a high density of intermittent physical interconnections,which produces the relative resistance change by varying the overlap area between the neighboring graphene sheets under stretching and releasing,analogous to the slide rheostat working in electronics.Our in-situ transmission electron microscope observation reveals the full recoverability of the structure from large deformation upon unloading for ensuring the exceptional cycle stability of our material on monitoring full-range body movements.The stable response is also demonstrated over wide temperature range and frequency range,because the peculiar dynamic structure can be maintained through the self-adjustment to the thermal expansion of the bulk material.Based on the working mechanism of graphene“slide rheostat,”the sensing properties of the strain sensor are tailored by tuning the graphene network structure with different mass densities using different concentrations of graphene oxide dispersion,while the stretchability and sensitivity can be separately optimized for different application requirements.Jing Ren Wenjun Zhang Yubo Wang Yaxiong Wang Jun Zhou Liming Dai Ming Xu 2019InfoMat2019,1,3:4
10The molecular chaperone Hsp90α deficiency causes retinal degeneration by disrupting Golgi organization and vesicle transportation in photoreceptors显示文摘Heat shock protein 90(Hsp90)is an abundant molecular chaperone with two isoforms,Hsp90α and Hsp90p.Hsp90β deficiency causes embryonic lethality,whereas Hsp90α deficiency causes few abnormities except male sterility.In this paper,we reported that Hsp90α was exclusively expressed in the retina,testis,and brain.Its deficiency caused retinitis pigmentosa(RP),a disease leading to blindness.In Hsp90α-deficient mice,the retina was deteriorated and the outer segment of photoreceptor was deformed.Immunofluorescence staining and electron microscopic analysis revealed disintegrated Golgi and aberrant intersegmental vesicle transportation in Hsp90α-deficient photoreceptors.Proteomic analysis identified microtubule-associated protein IB(MAP1B)as an Hsp90α-associated protein in photoreceptors.Hspcx deficiency increased degradation of MAP1B by inducing its ubiquitination,causing a-tubulin deacetylation and microtubule destabilization.Furthermore,the treatment of wild-type mice with 17-DMAG,an Hsp90 inhibitor of geldanamycin derivative,induced the same retinal degeneration as Hsp90α deficiency.Taken together,the microtubule destabilization could be the underlying reason for Hsp90α deficiency-induced RP.Yuan Wu Xiudan Zheng Yubo Ding Min Zhou Zhuang Wei Tao Liu Kan Liao 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,3:4
11A histological and biomechanical study of bone stress and bone remodeling around immediately loaded implants显示文摘Immediate loading(IL)increases the risk of marginal bone loss.The present study investigated the biomechanical response of peri-implant bone in rabbits after IL,aiming at optimizing load management.Ninety-six implants were installed bilaterally into femurs of 48 rabbits.Test implants on the left side created the maximal initial stress of 6.9 and 13.4 MPa in peri-implant bone and unloaded implants on the contralateral side were controls.Bone morphology and bone-implant interface strength were measured with histological examination and push-out testing during a 12-week observation period.Additionally,the animal data were incorporated into finite element(FE)models to calculate the bone stress distribution at different levels of osseointegration.Results showed that the stress was concentrated in the bone margin and the bone stress gradually decreased as osseointegration proceeded.A stress of about 2.0 MPa in peri-implant bone had a positive effect on new bone formation,osseointegration and bone-implant interface strength.Bone loss was observed in some specimens with stress exceeding 4.0 MPa.Data indicate that IL significantly increases bone stress during the early postoperative period,but the load-bearing capacity of peri-implant bone increases rapidly with an increase of bone-implant contact.Favorable bone responses may be continually promoted when the stress in peri-implant bone is maintained at a definite level.Accordingly,the progressive loading mode is recommended for IL implants.HAN JingYun HOU JianXia ZHOU Gang WANG Chao FAN YuBo 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,6:2

15Nano-hydroxyapatite(n-HA)involved in the regeneration of rat nerve injury triggered by overloading stretch显示文摘Damage of axon and glial scars formation both inhibit nerve regenerative growth during nerve injury.In addition,mechanical stretch at high displacement rates of 10%tensile strain can cause marked nerve injury,it is important for finding a proper nano biomaterial to repair nerve injury.Nano-hydroxyapatite(n-HA)has excellent biocompatibility and high bioactivity,which is a good candidate for biomedical engineering applications.But the certain mechanism of n-HA on the injured nerve is seldom reported.In this study,we determined the role of n-HA on the mechanical stretch-induced nerve injury at adult rat spine.Mechanical stretch under strain 10%at displacement rates of 60 mm/min can cause marked broken vessels and edema in spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion tissue in haematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining.However,n-HA application can reverse hemorrhage and edema triggered by high rates of 60 mm/min stretch.Moreover,n-HA can promote positive staining of Netrin-1 increase significantly in spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion tested by immunohistochemistry(IHC)staining.In general,our study indicated that n-HA can repair mechanical stretch-induced nerve injury,it may provide a new approach to block injury and accelerate nerve regeneration in future.Meili Liu Chongquan Huang Zhijun Zhao Anqing Wang Ping Li Yubo Fan Gang Zhou 2019Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2019,,4:1

17Achieving white-light emission in a single-component polymer with halogen-assisted interaction显示文摘White-light emitting(WLE) polymers have attracted continuous attention for their promising applications in solid-state lighting,flexible display and related fields. However, achieving dual-emission and pure white-light emission in a single-component polymer is still challenging. In this study, a brominated single-component polymer Br OD-TFB was designed and synthesized,which shows dual-emission and white light emission properties in solution and room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP) in thin films. The dual-emission properties can be tuned by concentration, solvent polarity, and excitation energy. Spectral analyses and theoretical calculations reveal that the origin of the high-energy emission band(HEB) is intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)along the polymer chain, whilst the low-energy emission band(LEB) originates from the excited-state related to the intra-chain and inter-chain C–Br···π interactions as demonstrated by the single-crystal structure of the model compound. Appropriate control of the formation and the destruction of the halogen-assisted interactions can initiate white-light emission in the singlecomponent polymer. 20Superimposed characteristics and genetic mechanism of strike-slip faults in the Bohai Sea, China显示文摘Based on the 3 D seismic structure interpretation of Bohai Sea, combined with physical modeling of structure, structural style analysis and apatite fission track simulation, the structural characteristics and genetic mechanism of the Cenozoic strike-slip faults in Bohai Sea were investigated. The results show that Tanlu strike-slip fault experienced three stages of strike-slip activities in the Cenozoic,and the transition from left-lateral strike to right-lateral strike-slip was completed at the end of the fourth member of the Shahejie Formation. The strike-slip faults in the Bohai Sea have the characteristics of multi-stage and multi-strength stress superposition. According to the superimposed forms of different strengths, different properties and different ratios, they can be divided into three major genetic types,extension and strike-slip superimposition, extension and extrusion superimposition, extrusion and strike-slip superimposition, and fifteen typical structure patterns. Affected by multiple changes in the direction and rate of subduction of the Cenozoic Pacific plate, the difference between the Cenozoic extension and the strike-slip in the Bohai Sea area leads to the diversity of the fault system and the zoning of the depression structure. According to superimposition features of faults, the Bohai Sea area can be divided into the Liaoxi S-type weak strike-slip zone, Liaodong braided strong strike-slip zone, Boxi conjugated medium strike-slip zone, Bodong brush structure medium strike-slip zone and Bonan parallel strong strike-slip zone.
