| 1 | The role of bone marrow-derived cells in the origin of liver cancer revealed by single-cell sequencing显示文摘Objective:Epithelial cancers often originate from progenitor cells,while the origin of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is still controversial.HCC,one of the deadliest cancers,is closely linked with liver injuries and chronic inflammation,which trigger massive infiltration of bone marrow-derived cells(BMDCs)during liver repair.Methods:To address the possible roles of BMDCs in HCC origination,we established a diethylnitrosamine(DEN)-induced HCC model in bone marrow transplanted mice.Immunohistochemistry and frozen tissue immunofluorescence were used to verify DENinduced HCC in the pathology of the disease.The cellular origin of DEN-induced HCC was further studied by single cell sequencing,single-cell nested PCR,and immunofluorescence-fluorescence in situ hybridization.Results:Studies by using single cell sequencing and biochemical analysis revealed that HCC cells in these mice were coming from donor mice BMDCs,and not from recipient mice.Furthermore,the copy numbers of mouse orthologs of several HCC-related genes previously reported in human HCC were also altered in our mouse model.DEN-induced HCCs exhibited a similar histological phenotype and genomic profile as human HCCs.Conclusions:These results suggested that BMDCs are an important origin of HCC,which provide important clues to HCC prevention,detection,and treatments. | Lu Chen Xianfu Yi Piao Guo Hua Guo Ziye Chen Chunyu Hou Lisha Qi Yongrong Wang Chengwen Li Peng Liu Yucun Liu Yuanfu Xu Ning Zhang | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 4 |

| 13 | In-plane attenuation zone and its optimization in a plate with periodic holes显示文摘It is difficult to design a plate with wide attenuation zones in low frequency region based on Bragg scattering mechanism. A plate with periodic rhombic holes is optimized and designed. Based on the finite element method under periodic boundary conditions, the in-plane dispersion curves of periodically perforated plate are calculated via COMSOL. The frequency responses of periodically perforated plate axe investigated via ANSYS simulation. The plates with periodic holes are suspended and dynamically tested under sinusoidal excitations. The results show that a periodically perforated plate with rhombus holes has wider attenuation zones than plates with circular and hexagonal holes. Material properties have a great influence on attenuation zones: nitrile-butadiene rubber and silicon rubber can easily obtain low-frequency zones, while increasing porosity creates lower and wider zones. The width of attenuation zone increases as the horizontal angle of the rhombus holes increases. An analysis of the attenuation zones* generation mechanism shows that the plate with periodic holes exhibits characteristics of Bragg scattering and local resonant phononic crystal, indicating an inherent relationship between two types of mechanisms. The optimized plate has a complete attenuation zone ranging from 5281.76-8824.30 Hz. The vibrations are significantly reduced when the number of periods is no less than two. The attenuation range obtained via the numerical method is generally consistent with the experiment. | 14 | Single-Phase Ternary Compounds with a Disordered Lattice and Liquid Metal Phase for High-Performance Li-Ion Battery Anodes显示文摘Si is considered as the promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high capacities of 4200 mAh g-1and natural abundancy.However,severe electrode pulverization and poor electronic and Li-ionic conductivities hinder their practical applications.To resolve the afore-mentioned problems,we first demonstrate a cation-mixed disordered lattice and unique Li storage mechanism of single-phase ternary GaSiP_(2)compound,where the liquid metallic Ga and highly reactive P are incorporated into Si through a ball milling method.As confirmed by experimental and theoretical analyses,the introduced Ga and P enables to achieve the stronger resistance against volume variation and metallic conductivity,respectively,while the cation-mixed lattice provides the faster Li-ionic diffusion capability than those of the parent GaP and Si phases.The resulting GaSiP_(2)electrodes delivered the high specific capacity of 1615 mAh g-1and high initial Coulombic efficiency of 91%,while the graphite-modified GaSiP_(2)(GaSiP_(2)@C)achieved 83%of capacity retention after 900 cycles and high-rate capacity of 800 at 10,000 mA g-1.Furthermore,the LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)//Ga SiP_(2)@C full cells achieved the high specific capacity of 1049 mAh g-1after 100 cycles,paving a way for the rational design of high-performance LIB anode materials. | Yanhong Li Lei Zhang Hung-Yu Yen Yucun Zhou Gun Jang Songliu Yuan Jeng-Han Wang Peixun Xiong Meilin Liu Ho Seok Park Wenwu Li | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,5: | 0 |

AMITRIPTYLINE ON PLATELET 3H-PAROXETINE BINDING SITES IN DEPRESSED PATIENTS显示文摘In this study platelet 3H-paroxetine binding site was studied in 16 depressed pa-tients and 16 healthy volunteers. We found that the mean Bmax of 3H-paroxetine binding on theplatelets of depressed patients was significantly lower than that of normal controls. After treated withamitriptyline or electro-acupuncture for 6 weeks, the density of paroxetine binding sites increased to-wards normal in well responded patients. | 16 | Blood Typing of Asiatic Black Bear (Ursus thibetanus)显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to analyze whether Asiatic black bear( Ursus thibetanus) had different blood group systems. [Method]Whole blood samples were collected from 40 Asiatic black bears in Fujian Province,China. Tube method was used to detect antibodies in plasma,and antibody isotype was determined with 2-mercaptoethanol. Plasma was further analyzed by mass spectrometry. [Result] The plasma from four black bears had antibodies,possibly Ig M isoform,which could agglutinate RBCs from 30 bears. Blood samples from 10 bears were tested by human blood typing reagents. The results showed that four black bears had blood type like human type O,while six bears had like human type B. Mass spectrometry results demonstrated that plasma protein had extensive homology to serum albumin-like isoform 1 found in giant panda( Ailuropoda melanoleuca). [Conclusion]Asiatic black bear might have at least one blood group system with two blood types. If the sick bear needs blood transfusion,a cross-matching test is necessary.
