1Effects of Guangxi Hepu Pearl Hydrolysate on Proliferation Activity and Apoptosis of Human Hepatic Stellate Cells显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to observe the effects of Guangxi Hepu pearl hydrolysate on proliferation and apoptosis of human hepatic stellate cells. [Method] The inhibition rate against the proliferation of human hepatic stellate cells was determined by MTT colorimetry after co-incubation with pearl hydrolysate for 48 h. The percentage of early and late apoptotic cells was determined by flow cytometry(Annexin V-FITC/PI staining). [Result] Low, medium and high concentrations of pearl hydrolysate could inhibit the proliferation of human hepatic stellate cells, and the inhibition rates at 48 h were 12.4%, 27.4% and 37.8%, respectively. The low, medium and high concentrations of pearl hydrolysate could induce the apoptosis of cells. The percentages of total apoptotic cells(early apoptotic + late apoptotic) at 48 h were 8.97%, 16.09% and 26.98%, respec-tively. [Conclusion] Pearl hydrolysate can inhibit the proliferation of human hepatic stellate cells and induce the apoptosis of these cells, which may be the mechanism of anti-hepatic fibrosis effect of pearl hydrolysate. These effects are dose-dependent. 2Tracing the Methane Events by Stable Carbon Isotopes of Benthic Foraminifera at Glacial Periods in the Andaman Sea显示文摘Stable isotopes of carbon and oxygen variations in foraminiferal shells have been widely used in paleo-environment studies.However,studies about the shells of benthic foraminifera in methanehydrate-bearing sediments as reliable geochemical proxies to reconstruct the potential methane release events in the geologic past are rare.In this study,we present the stable carbon and oxygen isotopes of fossil benthic foraminifera including one epifaunal species(Cibicidoides wuellerstorfi)and two infaunal species(Bulimina mexicana and Uvigerina peregrina)from the Site U1447 of IODP 353 Expedition to trace methane events in the Andaman Sea,where one of the thickest and deepest gas hydrate stability zones was discovered.Theδ^(13)C values of benthic foraminifera show that there are eight distinct intervals with negative values in the last~10 Myr,interpreted as a record of long-term fluctuations in methane emission.Six of these methane events occurred during the glacial sea-level lowstands in the last~1.1 Myr.We,therefore,infer that the trigger mechanism for these events might be the hydrate destabilization caused by sea level fall.The methane events that occurred at~2.11 and~5.93 Ma are more likely related to the sudden changes in sedimentation,either slide events or marked variations in sedimentation rate.Yue Cen Jiasheng Wang Xuan Ding Dorrik Stow Zhou Wang Can Chen Xiaochen Ma 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,6:1

5Vision-based adaptive variable rate spraying approach for unmanned aerial vehicles显示文摘The rapid developments of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV)and vision sensor are contributing a great reformation in precision agriculture.Farmers can fly their UAV spraying pesticides around their crop fields while staying at their remote control room or any place that is separated from their farm land.However,there is a common phenomenon in rice planting management stage that some empty areas are randomly located in farmland.Therefore,a critical problem is that the waste of pesticides that occurs when spraying pesticides over rice fields with empty areas by using the common UAV,because it is difficult to control the flow accuracy based on the empty areas changing.To tackle this problem,a novel vision-based spraying system was proposed that can identify empty areas automatically while spraying a precise amount of pesticides on the target regions.By this approach,the image was preprocessed with the Lucy-Richardson algorithm,then the target area was split from the background with k-means and the feature parameters were extracted,finally the feature parameters were filtered out with a positive contribution which would serve as the input parameters of the support vector machine(SVM)to identify the target area.Also a fuzzy control model was analyzed and exerted to compensate the nonlinearity and hysteresis of the variable rate spraying system.Experimental results proved that the approach was applicable to reducing the amount of pesticides during UAV spraying,which can provide a reference for precision agriculture aviation in the future.Linhui Wang Yubin Lan Xuejun Yue Kangjie Ling Zhenzhao Cen Ziyao Cheng Yongxin Liu Jian Wang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,3:1
6HIV-1 Transmission among Injecting Drug Users is Principally Derived from Local Circulating Strains in Guangxi, China显示文摘Objective The mode of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) transmission via injection drug use(IDU)still exists, and the recent shift in IDU-related transmission of HIV infection is largely unknown. The purpose of this study was to analyze the spatiotemporal sources and dynamics of HIV-1 transmission through IDU in Guangxi.Methods We performed a molecular epidemiological investigation of infections across Guangxi from2009 to 2019. Phylogenetic and Bayesian time-geographic analyses of HIV-1 sequences were performed to confirm the characteristics of transmission between IDUs in combination with epidemiological data.Results Among the 535 subjects, CRF08_BC(57.4%), CRF01_AE(28.4%), and CRF07_BC(10.7%) were the top 3 HIV strains;72.6% of infections were linked to other provinces in the transmission network;93.6% of sequence-transmitted strains were locally endemic, with the rest coming from other provinces,predominantly Guangdong and Yunnan;92.1% of the HIV transmission among people who inject drugs tended to be transmitted between HIV-positive IDUs.Conclusion HIV recombinants were high diversity, and circulating local strains were the transmission sources among IDUs in Guangxi. 7Water-soluble pillar[4]arene[1]quinone: Synthesis, host-guest property and application in the fluorescence turn-on sensing of ethylenediamine in aqueous solution, organic solvent and air显示文摘Water-soluble pillar[5]arenes are a class of typical macrocycles and have aroused tremendous attention for its easy to modify, abundant host-guest properties and extensive applications. However, up to now, all the reported water-soluble pillar[5]arenes acted as the host molecules, whereas they failed to be postsynthetically modified, which seriously impeded the development of the pillar[5]arene-based supramolecular chemistry. In this work, a new water-soluble pillar[5]arene, pillar[4]arene[1]quinone, was designed and synthsized with eight quaternary ammonium groups as well as a quinone units. Such a new water-soluble pillar[4]arene[1]quinone was capable of forming 1:1 stable complex with sodium 1-octanesulfonate in aqueous solution. 8An integrative profiling of metabolome and transcriptome in the plasma and skeletal muscle following an exercise intervention in diet-induced obese mice显示文摘Exercise intervention at the early stage of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)can aid in the maintenance of blood glucose homeostasis and prevent the development of macrovascular and microvascular complications.However,the exercise-regulated pathways that prevent the development of T2DM remain largely unclear.In this study,two forms of exercise intervention,treadmill training and voluntary wheel running,were conducted for high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice.We observed that both forms of exercise intervention alleviated HFD-induced insulin resistance and glucose intolerance.Skeletal muscle is recognized as the primary site for postprandial glucose uptake and for responsive alteration beyond exercise training.Metabolomic profiling of the plasma and skeletal muscle in Chow,HFD,and HFD-exercise groups revealed robust alterations in metabolic pathways by exercise intervention in both cases.Overlapping analysis identified nine metabolites,including beta-alanine,leucine,valine,and tryptophan,which were reversed by exercise treatment in both the plasma and skeletal muscle.Transcriptomic analysis of gene expression profiles in the skeletal muscle revealed several key pathways involved in the beneficial effects of exercise on metabolic homeostasis.In addition,integrative transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses uncovered strong correlations between the concentrations of bioactive metabolites and the expression levels of genes involved in energy metabolism,insulin sensitivity,and immune response in the skeletal muscle.This work established two models of exercise intervention in obese mice and provided mechanistic insights into the beneficial effects of exercise intervention on systemic energy homeostasis.Shuang Han Qingqian Wu Mengying Wang Miqi Yang Chen Sun Jiaqi Liang Xiaozhen Guo Zheyu Zhang Jingya Xu Xinyuan Qiu Cen Xie Siyu Chen Yue Gao Zhuo-Xian Meng 2023Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2023,15,3:0
9User Profiling for CSDN:Keyphrase Extraction,User Tagging and User Growth Value Prediction显示文摘The Chinese Software Developer Network(CSDN)is one of the largest information technology communities and service platforms in China.This paper describes the user profiling for CSDN,an evaluation track of SMP Cup 2017.It contains three tasks:(1)user document keyphrase extraction,(2)user tagging and(3)user growth value prediction.In the first task,we treat keyphrase extraction as a classification problem and train a Gradient-Boosting-Decision-Tree model with comprehensive features.In the second task,to deal with class imbalance and capture the interdependency between classes,we propose a two-stage framework:(1)for each class,we train a binary classifier to model each class against all of the other classes independently;(2)we feed the output of the trained classifiers into a softmax classifier,tagging each user with multiple labels.In the third task,we propose a comprehensive architecture to predict user growth value.Our contributions in this paper are summarized as follows:(1)we extract various types of features to identify the key factors in user value growth;(2)we use the semi-supervised method and the stacking technique to extend labeled data sets and increase the generality of the trained model,resulting in an impressive performance in our experiments.In the competition,we achieved the first place out of 329 teams.Guoliang Xing Hao Gao Qi Cao Xinyu Yue Bingbing Xu Keting Cen Huawei Shen 2019Data Intelligence2019,1,2:0
