2Colour compound lenses for a portable fluorescence microscope显示文摘In this article,we demonstrated a handheld smartphone fluorescence microscope(HSFM)that integrates dualfunctional polymer lenses with a smartphone.The HSFM consists of a smartphone,a field-portable illumination source,and a dual-functional polymer lens that performs both optical imaging and filtering.Therefore,compared with the existing smartphone fluorescence microscope,the HSFM does not need any additional optical filters.Although fluorescence imaging has traditionally played an indispensable role in biomedical and clinical applications due to its high specificity and sensitivity for detecting cells,proteins,DNAs/RNAs,etc.,the bulky elements of conventional fluorescence microscopes make them inconvenient for use in point-of-care diagnosis.The HSFM demonstrated in this article solves this problem by providing a multifunctional,miniature,small-form-factor fluorescence module.This multifunctional fluorescence module can be seamlessly attached to any smartphone camera for both bright-field and fluorescence imaging at cellular-scale resolutions without the use of additional bulky lenses/filters;in fact,the HSFM achieves magnification and light filtration using a single lens.Cell and tissue observation,cell counting,plasmid transfection evaluation,and superoxide production analysis were performed using this device.Notably,this lens system has the unique capability of functioning with numerous smartphones,irrespective of the smartphone model and the camera technology housed within each device.As such,this HSFM has the potential to pave the way for realtime point-of-care diagnosis and opens up countless possibilities for personalized medicine.Bo Dai Ziao Jiao Lulu Zheng Hunter Bachman Yongfeng Fu Xinjun Wan Yule Zhang Yu Huang Xiaodian Han Chenglong Zhao Tony Jun Huang Songlin Zhuang Dawei Zhang 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:3
3Two-Step Preparation of Hierarchical Porous Carbon Materials Derived from Tannin for Use as an Electrode Material for Supercapacitors显示文摘The development and utilization of biomass and agroforestry processing byproducts for high-value applications have been an important topic in the field of renewable materials research.Based on this,a two-step microwave hydrothermal pre-carbonization and KOH activation method was proposed to synthesize tannin-based activated carbons with a high specific surface area,hierarchical pore structure,and good electrochemical performance.The microstructure,texture properties,and physicochemical characteristics were investigated.The results show that the prepared tannin-based activated carbons presented a hierarchical pore structure(micro-and mesopores)with a specific surface area as high as 997.46 m^(3) g^(−1).The electrochemical analysis shows that the tannin-based activated carbons have good wettability and charge transfer rates.Under the three-electrode system with 6 M KOH as the electrolyte,the active material TAC_(600-4) had a maximum specific capacitance of 171 F g^(−1)at 0.5 A g^(−1).As the current density increases to 10 A g^(−1),the specific capacitance can still be maintained at 149 F g^(−1),indicating a good rate capability.Therefore,the specific surface area and pore size of tannin-based activated carbons can be effectively adjusted by the alkali/carbon ratio,making it a promising supercapacitor electrode material and providing a new method for the high-value development of tannins in the field of electrochemical energy storage.Jianping Deng Qianqian Zhang Yuling Lan Lingcong Luo Zimin Dai Zhonghang Lin Zhixin Lu Jiancheng Yuan Yiqi Fu Lu Luo Weigang Zhao 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,6:0
4Magnetic graphene oxide-anchored Ni/Cu nanoparticles with a Cu-rich surface for transfer hydrogenation of nitroaromatics显示文摘The bimetallic nanoparticles compositing of Ni-rich core and Cu-rich shell(Ni/Cu NPs)were successfully synthesized by a liquid-phase thermal decomposition method.The content of copper and nickel in Ni/Cu NPs was controllable by adjusting the ratio of two metal precursors,copper formate(Cuf)and nickel acetate tetrahydrate(Ni(OAc)_(2)·4H_(2)O).Ni/Cu NPs were further anchored on graphene oxide(GO)to prepare a magnetic composite catalyst,called Ni/Cu-GO.The dispersibility of Ni/Cu NPs in solution was enhanced by GO anchoring to prevent the sintering and aggregation during the reaction process,thereby ensuring the catalytic and cycling performance of the catalyst.The catalytic transfer hydrogenation(CTH)reaction of nitroaromatics was investigated when ammonia borane was used as the hydrogen source.Cu dominated the main catalytic role in the reaction,while Ni played a synergistic role of catalysis and providing magnetic properties for separation.The Ni_(7)/Cu_(3)-GO catalyst exhibited the best catalytic performance with the conversion and yield of 99%and 96%,respectively,when 2-methyl-5-nitrophenol was used as the substrate.The Ni_(7)/Cu_(3)-GO catalyst also exhibited excellent cyclic catalytic performance with the 5-amino-2-methylphenol yield of above 90%after six cycles.In addition,the Ni_(7)/Cu_(3)-GO catalyst could be quickly recycled by magnetic separation.Moreover,the Ni_(7)/Cu_(3)-GO catalyst showed good catalytic performance for halogen-containing nitroaromatics without dehalogenation.Hongbin Shi Qing Liu Xiaofeng Dai Teng Zhang Yuling Shi Tao Wang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,10:0
5U(VI) adsorption behavior onto polypyrrole coated 3R-MoS2 nanosheets prepared with the molten salt electrolysis method显示文摘To improve the separation capacity of uranium in aqueous solutions, 3R-MoS2 nanosheets were prepared with molten salt electro- lysis and further modified with polypyrrole (PPy) to synthesize a hybrid nanoadsorbent (PPy/3R-MoS2). The preparation conditions of PPy/3R- MoS2 were investigated and the obtained nanosheets were characterized with scanning electron microscope (SEM), high resolution transmis- sion electron microscope (HRTEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectro- scopy (XPS). The results showed that PPy/3R-MoS2 exhibited enhanced adsorption capacity toward U(VI) compared to pure 3R-MoS2 and PPy;the maximum adsorption was 200.4 mg/g. The adsorption mechanism was elucidated with XPS and FTIR: (1) negatively charged PPy/3R-MoS2 nanosheets attracted by an electrostatic interaction;(2) exposed C, N, Mo, and S atoms complexed with U(VI) through co- ordination;(3) Mo in the complex partly reduced the adsorbed U(VI) to U(IV), which further regenerated the adsorption point and continu- ously adsorbed U(VI).
