| 1 | Characterization of PM_(2.5)/PM_(2.5-10) and source tracking in the juncture belt between urban and rural areas of Beijing显示文摘Coarse (PM2.5-10) and fine (PM2.5) atmospheric particulate samples were collected in summer and winter during 2005―2007 in the juncture belt between urban and rural areas of Beijing. Elements, ions, organic/elemental carbon (OC/EC) and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined to obtain some latest information about the particulate pollution in the juncture belt of Beijing. Particulate matter levels at this site were high as compared with the levels at other sampling sites in Beijing. Pollution elements, secondary ions and PAHs were enriched in fine particles rather than in coarse particles. An obvious seasonal variation of the chemical composition of PM was observed. Source apportionment results showed that secondary components were the largest mass contributor of PM2.5, accounting for 28%; whereas soil-related sources were the largest contributor of PM2.5-10, explaining about 49% of the total mass. | 3 | Effectiveness of flesh-moistening paste in psoriasis vulgaris patients with symptom pattern of blood stasis:a randomized and parallel-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of flesh-moistening paste for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis pattern in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS:Eudipleural rashes on both the left and right side of the same patients with psoriasis vulgaris,diagnosed via TCM as blood stasis pattern,were selected as the targeted skin lesions.A randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled,multicenter controlled trial was conducted.The targeted skin lesions were categorized into either the treatment or control group.The treatment group used the flesh-moistening paste;the control group used a placebo.Both the paste and the placebo were topically applied twice daily for eight weeks.The patients were examined biweekly to evaluate the effects.The two groups were compared in terms of the psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)of the targeted skin lesions,which is scored according to erythema,desquamation,infiltration,area,pruritus,and improvement of skin barrier function.Adverse events were recorded during the study period.SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Fifty-six patients were enrolled between February 2016 and October 2017.Two were complicated by cardio-cerebrovascular disease and were excluded;thus,54 outpatients were finally enrolled in the study.Four dropped out during the study period:three failed to complete their follow-up visits for unknown reasons,and one exited due to an adverse event.The final trial comprised 50 of the 56 originally selected patients,with a 92.6%completion rate.After 8 weeks of treatment,the targeted skin lesion scores differed significantly(P<0.05).The PASI scores of the targeted skin lesions differed significantly beginning at week 6(P<0.05).The treatment group presented better results than those of the control group.Only one patient had an adverse reaction associated with the treatment.Improvements in skin barrier function differed significantly(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The flesh-moistening paste demonstrated a reliable curative effect and safety for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis patterns.The topical paste improved the barrier function of the skin lesions. | Guo Xinwei Lang Na Li Guanru Li Ping Qu Jianhua Zhou Dongmei Wang Ping Cang Zhang Deng BingXu Lou Weihai Xu Jingna Lan Haibing Liu Yumin Zhang Weishu Sun Liyun | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6: | 4 |

| 5 | Nanoparticle mediated controlled delivery of dual growth factors显示文摘Peripheral nerve functional recovery after nerve injury generally requires multiple growth factors by synergistic effect.However,the optical combination of multiple synergistic growth factors for axonal regeneration has been scarcely considered up to now.Meanwhile,the use of growth factors in promoting nerve regeneration was limited by its short biological half-life in vivo,its vulnerability to structure disruption or hydrolyzation,leading to loss of bioactivity.Herein,a novel polymeric nanoparticle delivery system composed of heparin andε-poly-L-lysine(PL)was prepared for control release of nerve growth factor(NGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF).The nanoparticles were synthesized by polyelectrolyte complexation in aqueous solution at room temperature,followed by cross-linking with biological genipin.The obtained nanoparticles had a spherical shape,with a mean diameter of about 246 nm,and high growth factors encapsulation efficiency as well as good stability.NGF and bFGF were encapsulated in the nanoparticles and showed a continuous and slow release behavior in vitro.The bioactivities of the released growth factors were evaluated,and exhibited the synergistic effect.The controlled release of the dual synergistic growth factors would improve the treatment of peripheral nerve injury to mimic the natural cellular microenvironments. | ZHANG LuZhong ZHOU YouLang LI GuiCai ZHAO YaHong GU XiaoSong YANG YuMin | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,2: | 3 |

| 8 | Ubiquitin-specific protease 24 promotes EV71 infection by restricting K63-linked polyubiquitination of TBK1显示文摘TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1)is an essential protein kinase for activation of interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF3)and induction of the type I interferons(IFN-I).Although the biochemical regulation of TBK1 activation has been studied,little is known about how enterovirus 71(EV71)employs the deubiquitinases(DUBs)to regulate TBK1 activation for viral immune evasion.Here,we found that EV71 infection upregulated the expression of ubiquitinspecific protease 24(USP24).Further studies revealed that USP24 physically interacted with TBK1,and can reduce K63-linked polyubiquitination of TBK1.Knockdown of USP24 upregulated TBK1 K63-linked polyubiquitination,promoted the phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of IRF3,and in turn improved IFN-I production during EV71 infection.As a consequence,USP24 knockdown dramatically inhibited EV71 infection.This study revealed USP24 as a novel regulator of TBK1 activation,which promotes the understanding of immune evasion mechanisms of EV71 and could provide a potential strategy for treatment of EV71 infection. | Lichao Zang Jin Gu Xinyu Yang Yukang Yuan Hui Guo Wei Zhou Jinhong Ma Yan Chen Yumin Wu Hui Zheng Weifeng Shi | 2023 | Virologica Sinica2023,38,1: | 2 |

| 19 | Influence of cementite spheroidization on relieving the micro-galvanic effect of ferrite-pearlite steel in acidic chloride environment显示文摘The corrosion behavior of the as-received steel and the spheroidized steel in acidic chloride environment was investigated. The results indicate the corrosion mode and corrosion rate of two steels are diverse due to their difference in microstructure. For as-received steel with ferrite-pearlite microstructure, severe localized corrosion happens on the pearlite regions, and plenty of cathodic cementite remains in the pits, further strengthening the micro-galvanic effect and accelerating the corrosion rate.
