1Hydrocarbon generation characteristics and exploration prospects of Proterozoic source rocks in China显示文摘A large number of primary oil and gas reservoirs have been discovered in Proterozoic strata all over the globe.Proterozoic sequences are widely distributed in China, and the discovery of large Sinian-aged gas reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin and Mesoproterozoic liquid oil seepages in North China shows that attention should be paid to the exploration potential of Proterozoic strata. In this paper, the main controlling factors of Proterozoic source rocks are discussed. Principally, active atmospheric circulation and astronomical cycles may have driven intense upwelling and runoff to provide nutrients; oxygenated oceanic surface waters could have provided suitable environments for the organisms to thrive; volcanic activity and terrestrial weathering caused by continental break-up would have injected large amounts of nutrients into the ocean, leading to persistent blooms of marine organisms; and extensive anoxic deep waters may have created ideal conditions for the preservation of organic matter. Additionally, the appearance of eukaryotes resulted in diversified hydrocarbon parent material, which effectively improved the generation potential for oil and gas. Through the comparison of Formations across different cratons, seven sets of Proterozoic organic-rich source rocks have been recognized in China, which mainly developed during interglacial periods and are also comparable worldwide. The Hongshuizhuang and Xiamaling Formations in North China have already been identified previously as Mesoproterozoic source rocks. The early Proterozoic Changchengian System is highly promising as a potential source rock in the Ordos Basin. In the Upper Yangtze area, the Neoproterozoic Datangpo and Doushantuo Formations are extensively distributed, and represent the major source rocks for Sinian gas reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin. Moreover, the Nanhuan System may contain abundant shales with high organic matter contents in the Tarim Basin, although this possibility still needs to be verified. 2The Mesoproterozoic Oxygenation Event显示文摘The accumulation of oxygen is one of the most important characteristics that distinguish Earth from other planets in the solar system,which is also considered to be the key factor influencing the birth and evolution of complex life forms.The oxygenation process of the Earth surface has long been viewed to be episodic with two critical intervals occurring in the early Paleoproterozoic(2.45-2.10 Ga)and the late Neoproterozoic(0.80-0.54 Ga),with a 1.3-billion-year-long low oxygen period in between.Recently,increasing independent works carried out by different scientific teams in the Yanliao Basin,North China are demonstrating that the atmospheric oxygen concentrations had reached>4%PAL(present atmospheric levels)at least during 1.59-1.56,1.44-1.43,and 1.40-1.36 Ga.These estimated values are higher than the previously recommended values of<0.1-1%PAL.Such a scenario discovered in the Yanliao Basin is consistent with the synchronously deposited strata in Australia and Siberia,pointing to a Mesoproterozoic oxygenation event(1.59-1.36 Ga)between the two major oxygenation intervals during the Proterozoic.This Mesoproterozoic oxygenation event is coupled with the break-up of the Columbia(Nuna)supercontinent,the formation of organic-rich shales and Fe-Mn deposits,and the early innovation of eukaryotic algae,indicating that the geological and biological co-evolutionary processes control the Earth surface system.Shuichang ZHANG Huajian WANG Xiaomei WANG Yuntao YE 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,12:5
3Association between 15 known or potential breast cancer susceptibility genes and breast cancer risks in Chinese women显示文摘Objective:There are many hereditary breast cancer patients in China,and multigene panel testing has been a new paradigm of genetic testing for these patients and their relatives.However,the magnitude of breast cancer risks related to multiple breast cancer susceptibility genes are largely unknown in Chinese women.Methods:We screened pathogenic variants in 15 established or potential breast cancer susceptibility genes from 8,067 consecutive Chinese female breast cancer patients and 13,129 Chinese cancer-free female controls.These breast cancer patients were unselected for age at diagnosis or family history.Results:We found that pathogenic variants in TP53[odds ratio(OR):16.9,95%confidence interval(CI):5.2–55.2];BRCA2(OR:10.4,95%CI:7.6–14.2);BRCA1(OR:9.7,95%CI:6.3–14.8);and PALB2(OR:5.2,95%CI:3.0–8.8)were associated with a high risk of breast cancer.ATM,BARD1,CHEK2,and RAD51D were associated with a moderate risk of breast cancer with ORs ranging from 2-fold to 4-fold.In contrast,pathogenic variants of NBN,RAD50,BRIP1,and RAD51C were not associated with increased risk of breast cancer in Chinese women.The pathogenic variants of PTEN,CDH1,and STK11 were very rare,so they had a limited contribution to Chinese breast cancer.Patients with pathogenic variants of TP53,BRCA1,BRCA2,and PALB2 more often had earlyonset breast cancer,bilateral breast cancer,and a family history of breast cancer and/or any cancer.Conclusions:This study provided breast cancer risk assessment data for multiple genes in Chinese women,which is useful for genetic testing and clinical management of Chinese hereditary breast cancer.Fenfen Fu Dongjie Zhang Li Hu Senthil Sundaram Dingge Ying Ying Zhang Shuna Fu Juan Zhang Lu Yao Ye Xu Yuntao Xie 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,2:3
4Pyrite morphology and episodic euxinia of the Ediacaran Doushantuo Formation in South China显示文摘The Ediacaran Doushantuo Formation with well-preserved fossil record in South China provides a rare window for our understanding of biological evolution,global carbon cycle,and oceanic redox states.Prominent negativeδ^(13)C anomalies(i.e.,the Shuram excursion)in Ediacaran successions worldwide fundamentally challenge the traditional models of isotopic mass balance.Additionally,conflicting opinions of both oxic and anoxic conditions have been proposed for the deep waters during this period.Here,we present a detailed study of pyrite morphology and carbonate carbon isotope data documented from drill core samples at Songtao County,northeastern Guizhou.Framboid aggregates are the dominant pyrite form in black shale and they can transfer to euhedral crystals through continuous growth of the constituent microcrystals.A positive correlation between microcrystal sizes(d)and framboid diameters(D)is observed,while the different D/d ratios of framboids in argillaceous dolostone and black shale reflect different substrate availability.Electron microprobe analyses reveal no consistent compositional patterns between framboidal and euhedral pyrites.Framboid size distributions of the investigated drill core,in combination with previously published redox data from the intra-shelf Jiulongwan section,shelf margin Zhongling section,and lower slope Wuhe section,suggest that three episodes of marine euxinia have been established throughout the deposition of the Doushantuo Formation.The time lag between the uppermost euxinic interval and the Shuram excursion may arise from the depression of sulfate reduction maintained by other oxidants.YE YunTao WU ChaoDong ZHAI LiNa AN ZhengZe 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,1:2
5The Dynamic Characteristics of Silicone Rubber Isolator显示文摘The dynamic stiffness and the specific damping energy, as well as the vibration response characteristics of a silicone rubber isolator were researched. The results of the vibration test showed that the silicone rubber isolator was excellent in the performance of vibration control. The dynamic stiffness and the damping characteristics were non-linear. From the comparison between experimental results and simulation analysis, the displacement transmissibility characteristics of the isolator were obtained. 6б-sharpen immersed boundary method(б-SIBM)—New method for solving the horizontal pressure-gradient force(PGF) problem of б-coordinate显示文摘Althoughб-coordinate is one of the most popular methods used in marine and estuarine modeling,it has long suffered from the so-called'steep boundary problem',namely,the PGF problem.In this paper,a new method called the'б-sharpen immersed boundary method'(б-SIBM)is put forward.In this method,the virtual flat bottom boundary is creatively introduced in regions with the steep boundary and is taken as the boundary of numerical domain.By this,бHбx of numerical domain changes to be a controllable value and the steep bottom problem is then transformed to the non-conforming boundary problem,which is,in turn,solved by the SIBM.The accuracy and efficiency of theб-sharpen immersed boundary method(б-SIBM)has been showed by both comparative theoretical analysis and classical numerical tests.First,it is shown that theб-SIBM is more effective than the z-level method,in thatб-SIBM needs special treatment only in the steep section,but the z-level method needs the special treatment in each grid note.Second,it is superior to theб-method in that it is not restricted by the density distribution.This paper revisits the classical seamount numerical test used in numerous studies to prove the sigma errors of the pressure gradient force(PGFE)and their long-term effects on circulation.It can be seen that,as for the maximum erroneous velocity and kinetic energy,the value ofб-SIBM is much less than that of the z-level method and the traditionalб-method.sharpen immersed boundary method(SIBM),immersed boundary method(IBM),direct forcing method,б-coordinate,HEI PengFei ZHOU Gang JIA DongDong YE YunTao LEI Kun 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,7:1
7Organic carbon cycling and black shale deposition:an Earth System Science perspective显示文摘Earth has a prolonged history characterized by substantial cycling of matter and energy between multiple spheres.The production of organic carbon can be traced back to as early as∼4.0 Ga,but the frequency and scale of organic-rich shales have varied markedly over geological time.In this paper,we discuss the organic carbon cycle and the development of black shale from the perspective of Earth System Science.We propose that black shale depositions are the results of interactions among lithospheric evolution,orbital forcing,weathering,photosynthesis and degradation.Black shales can record Earth’s oxygenation process,provide petroleum and metallic mineral resources and reveal information about the driver,direction and magnitude of climate change.Future research on black shales should be expanded to encompass a more extensive and more multidimensional perspective.Zhijun Jin Xiaomei Wang Huajian Wang Yuntao Ye Shuichang Zhang 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:1

14Cancer risk in relatives of BRCA1/2 pathogenic variant carriers in a large series of unselected patients with breast cancer显示文摘Objective:The spectrum and risk of cancer in relatives of BRCA1/2 pathogenic variant carriers in the Chinese population have not been established.Methods:A family history of cancer in 9903 unselected breast cancer patients was retrospectively analyzed.BRCA1/2 status was determined for all patients and relative risks(RRs)were calculated to evaluate cancer risk in relatives of the patients.Results:The incidences of breast cancer in female relatives of BRCA1 carriers,BRCA2 carriers,and non-carriers were 33.0%,32.2%,and 7.7%,respectively.The corresponding incidences of ovarian cancer were 11.5%,2.4%,and 0.5%,respectively.The incidences of pancreatic cancer in male relatives of BRCA1 carriers,BRCA2 carriers,and non-carriers were 1.4%,2.7%,and 0.6%,respectively.The corresponding incidences of prostate cancer were 1.0%,2.1%,and 0.4%,respectively.The risks of breast and ovarian cancers in female relatives of BRCA1 and BRCA2 carriers were significantly higher than female relatives of non-carriers(BRCA1:RR=4.29,P<0.001 and RR=21.95,P<0.001;BRCA2:RR=4.19,P<0.001 and RR=4.65,P<0.001,respectively).Additionally,higher risks of pancreatic and prostate cancers were noted in male relatives of BRCA2 carriers than non-carriers(RR=4.34,P=0.001 and RR=4.86,P=0.001,respectively).Conclusions:Female relatives of BRCA1 and BRCA2 carriers are at increased risk for breast and ovarian cancers,and male relatives of BRCA2 carriers are at increased risk for pancreatic and prostate cancers.Jiaming Liu Lu Yao Jie Sun Li Hu Jiuan Chen Juan Zhang Ye Xu Yuntao Xie 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2:0

16Carbon Isotope Stratigraphy of the Cambrian System in the Eastern Tarim Basin,China显示文摘The ultra-deep Cambrian System in the Tarim Basin is an important field for petroleum exploration,while fine division of the Cambrian strata remains controversial.In recent years,carbon isotope stratigraphy of the Cambrian System has been established and widely used.Here,we report an integrated profile of carbonate and organic carbon isotopic values(δ^(13)C_(carb)andδ^(13)C_(org))from cuttings of the Tadong2 Well in the eastern Tarim Basin.Three carbon isotope anomalies of BACE,ROECE and SPICE were recognized on theδ^(13)C_(carb)profile.Three apogees and a nadir on theδ^(13)C_(org)profile and the onset of ROECE on theδ^(13)C_(carb)profile were suggested as boundaries of the present four series of the Cambrian System.Suggested boundaries are easily identifiable on the gamma logging profile and is consistent with the previous division scheme,based on biostratigraphic evidence in outcrop sections.Abnormal carbon cycle perturbations and organic carbon burials during the BACE and SPICE events might be related to the reduction and expansion of a huge dissolved organic carbon reservoir in the deep ocean of the ancient Tarim Basin.WANG Huajian SU Jin WANG Xiaomei YE Yuntao WANG Yu FANG Yu ZHANG Shuichang 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,4:0
17Association of SIPA1545 C>T polymorphism with survival in Chinese women with metastatic breast cancer显示文摘It has been demonstrated that single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)of SIPA1(signal-induced proliferation associated gene 1)are associated with metastatic efficiency in both human and rodents.The purpose of this study was to determine whether SIPA1545 C>T polymorphism was associated with overall survival in patients with metastatic breast cancer.In this study,SIPA1545 C>T polymorphism was detected in 185 metastatic breast cancer patients using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay(PCR-RFLP).Survival curves for patients with SIPA1545 C>T polymorphism was compared using the Kaplan-Meier method with log-rank tests.We found that SIPA1545 C>T polymorphism was significantly associated with survival in 185 patients with metastatic breast cancer.Patients with SIPA1545 T/T genotype had a significantly worse overall survival(OS)than did patients with C/T or C/C genotype(50.0%vs.62.9%,P=0.042).Moreover,in multivariate analysis,as compared with the C/C or C/T genotype,the T/T genotype remained an independent unfavorable prognostic marker of OS in this cohort(hazard ratio[HR]=2.16;95%CI=1.12–4.15;P=0.022).Our findings indicate that metastatic breast cancer patients with SIPA1545 T/T genotype have a poorer survival compared to patients with C/C or C/T genotype.Renling Pei Ye Xu Yan Wei Tao Ouyang Jinfeng Li Tianfeng Wang Zhaoqing Fan Tie Fan Benyao Lin Yuntao Xie 2013Frontiers of Medicine2013,7,1:0
