1First-principles study of structure,mechanical and optical properties of La-and Sc-doped Y2O3显示文摘The electronic,mechanical and optical properties of La-and Sc-doped Y2O3 were investigated using firstprinciples calculations.Two doping sites of Sc and La in Y2O3 were modeled.The calculated values of the energy of formation show that the most energetically favorable site for a La atom in Y2O3 is a d-site Y atom,while for Sc a b-site Y atom is the more stable position.The calculated band gap shows a slight decrease with increasing La or Sc concentration.The calculated results for the mechanical and optical properties of Y(2-x)RxO3(R=Sc or La,0Xian Zhang Sen Gao Wenhua Gui Qingfeng Zeng 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,8:8
2Total mesorectal excision with or without preoperative chemoradiotherapy for resectable mid/low rectal cancer: a long-term analysis of a prospective, single-center, randomized trial显示文摘Background:The preliminary results of our phase II randomized trial reported comparable functional sphincter pres-ervation rates and short-term survival outcomes between patients undergoing total mesorectal excision(TME)with or without preoperative concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT).We now report the long-term results after a median follow-up of 71 months.Methods:Between March 23,2008 and August 2,2012,192 patients with T3-T4 or node-positive,resectable,mid/low rectal adenocarcinoma were randomly assigned to receive TME with or without preoperative CCRT.The following endpoints were assessed:cumulative rates of local recurrence and distant metastasis,disease-free survival(DFS),and overall survival(OS).Results:The data of 184 eligible patients were analyzed:94 patients in the TME group and 90 patients in the CCRT+TME group.In the whole cohort,the 5-year DFS and OS rates were 84.8%and 85.1%,respectively.The 5-year DFS rates were 85.2%in the CCRT+TME group and 84.3%in the TME group(P=0.969),and the 5-year OS rates were 83.5%in the CCRT+TME group and 86.5%in the TME group(P=0.719).The 5-year cumulative rates of local recur-rence were 6.3%and 5.0%(P=0.681),and the 5-year cumulative rates of distant metastasis were 15.0%and 15.7%(P=0.881)in the CCRT+TME and TME groups,respectively.No significant improvements in 5-year DFS and OS were observed with CCRT by subgroup analyses.Conclusions:Both treatment strategies yielded similar long-term outcomes.A selective policy towards preoperative CCRT is thus recommended for rectal cancer patients if high-quality TME surgery and enhanced chemotherapy can be performed.Fulong Wang Wenhua Fan Jianhong Peng Zhenhai Lu Zhizhong Pan Liren Li Yuanhong Gao Hui Li Gong Chen Xiaojun Wu Peirong Ding Zhifan Zeng Desen Wan 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:6

4The Influence of Wave State and Sea Spray on Drag Coefficient from Low to High Wind Speeds显示文摘Ocean waves alter the roughness of sea surface,and sea spray droplets redistribute the momentum flux at the air-sea interface.Hence,both wave state and sea spray influence sea surface drag coefficient.Based on the new sea spray generation function which depends on sea surface wave,a wave-dependent sea spray stress is obtained.According to the relationship between sea spray stress and the total wind stress on the sea surface,a new formula of drag coefficient at high wind speed is acquired.With the analysis of the new drag coefficient,it is shown that the drag coefficient reduces at high wind speed,indicating that the sea spray droplets can limit the increase of drag coefficient.However,the value of high wind speed corresponding to the initial reduced drag coefficient is not fixed,and it depends on the wave state,which means the influence of wave cannot be ignored.Comparisons between the theoretical and measured sea surface drag coefficients in field and laboratory show that under different wave ages,the theoretical result of drag coefficient could include the measured data,and it means that the new drag coefficient can be used properly from low to high wind speeds under any wave state condition.SHI Jian ZHONG Zhong LI Xunqiang JIANG Guorong ZENG Wenhua LI Yan 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:2

18Plant functional trait diversity and structural diversity co-underpin ecosystem multifunctionality in subtropical forests显示文摘Tree species diversity is assumed to be an important component in managing forest ecosystems because of effects on multiple functions or ecosystem multifunctionality.However,the importance of tree diversity in determining multifunctionality in structurally complex subtropical forests relative to other regulators(e.g.,soil microbial diversity,stand structure,and environmental conditions)remains uncertain.In this study,effects of aboveground(species richness and functional and structural diversity)and belowground(bacterial and fungal diversity)biodiversity,functional composition(community-weighted means of species traits),stand structure(diameter at breast height and stand density),and soil factors(pH and bulk density)on multifunctionality(including biomass production,carbon stock,and nutrient cycling)were examined along a tree diversity gradient in subtropical forests.The community-weighted mean of tree maximum height was the best predictor of ecosystem multifunctionality.Functional diversity explained a higher proportion of the variation in multifunctionality than that of species richness and fungal diversity.Stand structure-played an important role in modulating the effects of tree diversity on multifunctionality.The work highlights that species composition and maximizing forest structural complexity are effective strategies to increase forest multifunctionality while also conserving biodiversity in the management of multifunctional forests under global environmental changes.Shuai Ouyang Mengmeng Gou Pifeng Lei Yue Liu Liang Chen Xiangwen Deng Zhonghui Zhao Yelin Zeng Yanting Hu Changhui Peng Wenhua Xiang 2023Forest Ecosystems2023,10,2:0
19Cathodic corrosion as a facile and universal method for the preparation of supported metal single atoms显示文摘Top-down strategy has been generally adopted for preparation of metal single atom catalysts(SACs)due to the simplified synthetic process,metal economics,and scalability characteristics.Herein,we propose a general top-down route to convert metal nanoparticles into uniformly dispersed metal single atoms in mild electrochemical environment via a facile cathodic corrosion process.Within the synthetic process,Pt nanoparticles precursors are transformed into migrating Pt single atoms(Pt1)driven by a high negative potential;and subsequently these mobile Pt atoms are trapped and stabilized by N coordination sites of N-doped carbon paper(NCP).The as-prepared Pt1/NCP electrodes exhibit a superior catalytic activity toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)with a low overpotential of 0.022 V at 10 mA/cm^(2)and a low Tafel slope of 28.5 mV/dec as well as a long-term durability.Notably,the proposed electrochemical atomic migration strategy shows a promising generality for fabricating other metal single atoms(e.g.,Pd,Ir,Cu),which may open a new avenue for metallic SACs preparation.Rui Li Jingsong Xu Qingkai Zhao Wensheng Ren Rongguang Zeng Qifa Pan Xiayan Yan Jingwen Ba Tao Tang Wenhua Luo 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:0
20Role of the STAT3/survivin signaling pathway in the EML4-ALK-positive lung adenocarcinoma cell line H2228 before and after crizotinib-induced resistance显示文摘Objective This study investigated the role of the STAT3/survivin signaling pathway in the EML4-ALK–positive lung adenocarcinoma cell line H2228 before and after crizotinib-induced resistance. The mechanism of resistance was studied. Methods Cell viability was determined using the MTT assay. Crizotinib-induced apoptosis in H2228 and H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells treated with the indicated doses of crizotinib was measured at different times(24 h, 48 h, 72 h) using flow cytometry. The levels of p-ALK, ALK, p-STAT3, STAT3, and survivin after treatment of cells with 0, 0.3, and 1 μM crizotinib for 72 h were determined using Western blot analysis. DNA sequencing was used to identify mutations in H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells. Results The crizotinib IC50 values in H2228 and H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells at 72 h were 334.5 n M and 3418 n M, respectively. The resistance index of H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells was 10.20. Crizotinib induced apoptosis in H2228 cells and reduced the levels of p-ALK, p-STAT3, and survivin. In contrast, no changes in the levels of p-ALK, p-STAT3, and survivin were observed in H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells. The mutations 2067G→A and 2182G→C in EML4-ALK were present in the H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells. Conclusion Crizotinib decreased the viability of H2228 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. In the STAT3/survivin pathway, downregulation of p-ALK, p-STAT3, and survivin might contribute to crizotinib-induced apoptosis in H2228 cells. However, the STAT3/survivin pathway in H2228 crizotinib-resistant cells was unaffected by crizotinib treatment.
