| 1 | The baroreflex afferent pathway plays a critical role in H_(2)S-mediated autonomic control of blood pressure regulation under physiological and hypertensive conditions显示文摘Hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),which is closely related to various cardiovascular disorders,lowers blood pressure(BP),but whether this action is mediated via the modification of baroreflex afferent function has not been elucidated.Therefore,the current study aimed to investigate the role of the baroreflex afferent pathway in H_(2)S-mediated autonomic control of BP regulation.The results showed that baroreflex sensitivity(BRS)was increased by acute intravenous NaHS(a H_(2)S donor)administration to renovascular hypertensive(RVH)and control rats.Molecular expression data also showed that the expression levels of critical enzymes related to H_(2)S were aberrantly downregulated in the nodose ganglion(NG)and nucleus tractus solitarius(NTS)in RVH rats.A clear reduction in BP by the microinjection of NaHS or L-cysteine into the NG was confirmed in both RVH and control rats,and a less dramatic effect was observed in model rats.Furthermore,the beneficial effects of NaHS administered by chronic intraperitoneal infusion on dysregulated systolic blood pressure(SBP),cardiac parameters,and BRS were verified in RVH rats.Moreover,the increase in BRS was attributed to activation and upregulation of the ATP-sensitive potassium(KATP)channels Kir6.2 and SUR1,which are functionally expressed in the NG and NTS.In summary,H_(2)S plays a crucial role in the autonomic control of BP regulation by improving baroreflex afferent function due at least in part to increased KATP channel expression in the baroreflex afferent pathway under physiological and hypertensive conditions. | Ying Li Yan Feng Li Liu Xue Li Xin-yu Li Xun Sun Ke-xin Li Rong-rong Zha Hong-dan Wang Meng-di Zhang Xiong-xiong Fan Di Wu Yao Fan Hao-cheng Zhang Guo-fen Qiao Bai-yan Li | 2021 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,6: | 3 |
| 2 | Economy Analysis of Flexible LCC-HVDC Systems with Controllable Capacitors显示文摘Commutation failure(CF)is a frequent dynamic event at inverter of LCC-HVDC systems caused by AC side faults which can lead to inverter blocking,interruption of active power transfer,and even system blackout.To eliminate CFs and improve system performance,new Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies have been proposed in previous research but with limited analysis on its economic performance.Therefore,to further validate the applicability of Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies,this paper utilizes Life-Cycle Cost Analysis model to analyze the life-cycle cost of inverter stations for conventional LCCHVDC,Capacitor Commutated Converter based HVDC(CCCHVDC)topology and Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies including Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCC-HVDC,AC Filterless Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCC-HVDC and improved Flexible LCC-HVDC.Through a case study based on a 500 kV,1000 MW LCC-HVDC scheme,comparison results show that the AC Filterless Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCCHVDC topology and the improved Flexible LCC-HVDC topology have lower cost than the conventional LCC-HVDC and CCCHVDC topologies,which proves that the elimination of CFs can be achieved with reduced cost. | Nan Chen Kunpeng Zha Haitao Qu Fangling Li Ying Xue Xiao-Ping Zhang | 2022 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,6: | 2 |
| 3 | Lower levels sex hormone-binding globulin independently associated with metabolic syndrome in pre-elderly and elderly men in China显示文摘Objective To examine the relationship between sex hormone–binding globulin (SHBG) and the metabolic syndrome (MetS) in pre-elderly and elderly men in China. Methods A cross-sectional studywas done among 437men, aged 45 to 94 years old. Early morning fasting sera were assayed for total testosterone (TT), SHBG and other biochemical markers. Free testosterone (FT) was calculated. Results The SHBG level of the MetS group was significantly lower than those without MetS 35.70 (25.18, 47.10) nmol/L vs. 41.90 (31.80, 55.20) nmol/L; P < 0.001). As the number of MetS components increases, SHBG and TT levels became lower. SHBG correlated with age, as did TT and most of metabolic components. Body mass index (BMI), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), triglyceride (TG), and TT remained independently associated with SHBG by multivariate regression analysis. In a logistic regression taking MetS as the dependent variable, SHBG (95% confidence interval (95% CI): 0.975��0.994, P = 0.018) and homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) (95%CI: 1.535��2.647, P < 0.001) were included in the final model. Conclusions Lower SHBG is independently associated with MetS among pre-elderly and elderly men. | 4 | Individual and joint effects of borderline ankle-brachial index and high plasma total homocysteine on all-cause death in hypertensive adults显示文摘BACKGROUND The cardiovascular hazards of total homocysteine(tHcy)are long known.In addition,despite the acknow-ledgment on the importance of low ankle-brachial index(ABI)(<0.9),borderline ABI(0.91-0.99)was once commonly overlooked.This study aims to explore the independent and joint effect of tHcy level and borderline ABI on all-cause death in hypertensive population.METHODS This study included 10,538 participants from China H-type Hypertension Registry Study.ABI was described into two groups:normal ABI(1.00-1.40)and borderline ABI.tHcy level was also divided into two groups:<15.02 and≥15.02μmo/L.Four groups were analyzed,using COX proportional hazard regression model,separately and pairwise to observe the independ-ent and joint effect on all-cause death.RESULTS A total of 126(1.2%)deaths were observed in the 1.7 years follow-up time.Borderline ABI has a higher predicted risk of death than normal ABI(HR=1.87,95%CI:1.17-3.00)after adjusting for potential covariates.Compare with tHcy level<15.02μmo/L(low tHcy),those with tHcy≥15.02μmo/L(high tHcy)had higher risk to event outcome(HR=1.99,95%CI:1.30-3.05).According to the cumulative hazard curve,group with borderline ABI and high tHcy level has significantly higher altitude and larger increasing rate over follow-up period compare to other groups.Among those with borderline ABI,participants with high tHcy had higher death risk than those with low tHcy,nevertheless,no significant different between borderline and normal ABI among those with low tHcy levels.CONCLUSIONS Borderline ABI and tHcy level both have independent predictive value on all-cause death.The combined group of borderline ABI and high tHcy has highest risk factor of outcomes,which suggested the mutual additive value of border-line ABI and tHcy.More attention should be given to the importance of borderline ABI in hypertensive population,especially with elevated tHcy level. | Jun-Pei LI Tian-Yu CAO Xiao-Yuan ZHA Yun YU Zi-Heng TAN Zai-Hua CHENG Hua-Bo YING Wei ZHOU Lin-Juan ZHU Tao WANG Li-Shun LIU Hui-Hui BAO Xiao HUANG Xiao-Shu CHENG | 2022 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2022,19,7: | 1 |

| 13 | Lenvatinib-and vadimezan-loaded synthetic high-density lipoprotein for combinational immunochemotherapy of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Metastatic triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most aggressive type of breast cancer.Combination of systemic chemotherapy and immune checkpoint blockade is effective but of limited benefit due to insufficient intratumoral infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CTLs)and the accumulation of immunosuppressive cells.Herein,we designed a lenvatinib-and vadimezan-loaded synthetic high-density lipoprotein(LV-sHDL)for combinational immunochemotherapy of metastatic TNBC.The LV-sHDL targeted scavenger receptor class B type 1-overexpressing 4T1 cells in the tumor after intravenous injection.The multitargeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI)lenvatinib induced immunogenic cell death of the cancer cells,and the stimulator of interferon genes(STING)agonist vadimezan triggered local inflammation to facilitate dendritic cell maturation and antitumor macrophage differentiation,which synergistically improved the intratumoral infiltration of total and active CTLs by 33-and 13-fold,respectively.LV-sHDL inhibited the growth of orthotopic 4T1 tumors,reduced pulmonary metastasis,and prolonged the survival of animals.The efficacy could be further improved when LV-sHDL was used in combination with antibody against programmed cell death ligand 1.This study highlights the combination use of multitargeted TKI and STING agonist a promising treatment for metastatic TNBC. | Chao Zheng Wen Zhang Jinming Wang Yihui Zha Fengqin Xiong Ying Cai Xiang Gong Binyu Zhu Helen He Zhu Hao Wang Yaping Li Pengcheng Zhang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 1 |
