1Boron neutron capture therapy for malignant melanoma: first clinical case report in China显示文摘A phase Ⅰ/Ⅱ clinical trial for treating malignant melanoma by boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT) was designed to evaluate whether the world's first in-hospital neutron irradiator(IHNI) was qualified for BNCT. In this clinical trial planning to enroll 30 patients, the first case was treated on August 19, 2014. We present the protocol of this clinical trial, the treating procedure, and the clinical outcome of this first case. Only grade 2 acute radiation injury was observed during the first four weeks after BNCT and the injury healed after treatment. No late radiation injury was found during the 24-month follow-up. 2Combined peripheral natural killer cell and circulating tumor cell enumeration enhance prognostic efficiency in patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Objective:Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is a heterogeneous disease with poor prognosis.Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)are a promising predictor for breast cancer prognoses but their reliability regarding progression-free survival(PFS)is controversial.We aim to verify their predictive value in TNBC.Methods:In present prospective cohort study,we used the Pep@MNPs method to enumerate CTCs in baseline blood samples from 75 patients with TNBC(taken at inclusion in this study)and analyzed correlations between CTC numbers and outcomes and other clinical parameters.Results:Median PFS was 6.0(range:1.0–25.0)months for the entire cohort,in whom we found no correlations between baseline CTC status and initial tumor stage(P=0.167),tumor grade(P=0.783)or histological type(P=0.084).However,among those getting first-line treatment,baseline CTC status was positively correlated with ratio of peripheral natural killer(NK)cells(P=0.032),presence of lung metastasis(P=0.034)and number of visceral metastatic site(P=0.037).Baseline CTC status was predictive for PFS in first-line TNBC(P=0.033),but not for the cohort as a whole(P=0.118).This prognostic limitation of CTC could be ameliorated by combining CTC and NK cell enumeration(P=0.049).Conclusions:Baseline CTC status was predictive of lung metastasis,peripheral NK cell ratio and PFS in TNBC patients undergoing first-line treatment.We have developed a combined CTC-NK enumeration strategy that allows us to predict PFS in TNBC without any preconditions.Xiaoran Liu Ran Ran Bin Shao Hope S.Rugo Yanlian Yang Zhiyuan Hu Zewen Wei Fengling Wan Weiyao Kong Guohong Song Hanfang Jiang Xu Liang Ruyan Zhang Ying Yan Guobing Xu Huiping Li 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3:4
3Decomposition pathway and stabilization of ether-based electrolytes in the discharge process of Li-O_(2) battery显示文摘Ether-based electrolytes with relatively high stability are widely used in Li-O_(2) batteries (LOBs) with high energy density.However,they are still prone to be attacked by reactive oxygen species.Understanding the degradation chemistry of ether-based solvent induced by reactive oxygen species is significant importance toward selection of stable electrolytes for LOBs.Herein,we demonstrate that a great amount of H_(2) gas evolves on the Li anode during the long-term discharge process of LOBs,which is due to the electrolyte decomposition at the oxygen cathode.By coupling with in-situ and ex-situ characterization techniques,it is demonstrated that O_(2)^(-) induces the H-abstraction of tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether(TEGDME) to produce a large amount of H_(2)O at cathode,and this H_(2)O migrates to Li anode and produce H_(2) gas.Based on the established experiments and spectra,a possible decomposition pathway of TEGDME caused by O_(2)^(-)at the discharge process is proposed.And moreover,three types of strategies are discussed to inhibit the decomposition of ether-based electrolytes,which should be highly important for the fundamental and technical advancement for LOBs.Xiao Liu Xiaosheng Song Qi Zhang Xuebing Zhu Qing Han Zewen Liu Peng Zhang Yong Zhao 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:0
4Building Better Full Manganese‑Based Cathode Materialsfor Next‑Generation Lithium‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Lithium-manganese-oxides have been exploited as promising cathode materials for many years due to their environmental friendliness,resource abundance and low biotoxicity.Nevertheless,inevitable problems,such as Jahn-Teller distortion,manganese dissolution and phase transition,still frustrate researchers;thus,progress in full manganese-based cathode materials(FMCMs)has been relatively slow and limited in recent decades.Recently,with the fast growth of vehicle electrification and large-scale energy-storage grids,there has been an urgent demand to develop novel FMCMs again;actually,new waves of research based on FMCMs are being created.Herein,we systematically review the history of FMCMs,correctly describe their structures,evaluate the advantages and challenges,and discuss the resolution strategies and latest developments.Additionally,beyond FMCMs,a profound discussion of current controversial issues,such as oxygen redox reaction,voltage decay and voltage hysteresis in Li_(2)MnO_(3)-based cathode materials,is also presented.This review summarizes the effectively optimized approaches and offers a few new possible enhancement methods from the perspective of the electronic-coordination-crystal structure for building better FMCMs for next-generation lithium-ion batteries.Jin Song Hangchao Wang Yuxuan Zuo Kun Zhang Tonghuan Yang Yali Yang Chuan Gao Tao Chen Guang Feng Zewen Jiang Wukun Xiao Tie Luo Dingguo Xia 2023Electrochemical Energy Reviews2023,6,1:0
5Hierarchical structural complexity in atomically precise nanocluster frameworks显示文摘The supramolecular chemistry of nanoclusters is a flourishing area of nano-research;however,the controllable assembly of cluster nano-building blocks in different arrays remains challenging.In this work,we report the hierarchical structural complexity of atomically precise nanoclusters in micrometric linear chains(1 D array),grid networks(2 D array) and superstructures(3 D array).In the crystal lattice,the Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)(PPh3)4 nanoclusters can be viewed as unassembled cluster dots(Ag_(29)-OD).In the presence of Cs^(+) cations,the Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12) nano-building blocks are selectively assembled into distinct arrays with different oxygen-carrying solvent molecules—Cs@Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)(DMF)x as 1 D linear chains(Ag_(29)-1 D),Cs@Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)(NMP)x as 2 D grid networks(Ag_(29)-2 D),and Cs@Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)(TMS)_(x) as 3 D superstructures(Ag_(29)-3 D).Such self-assemblies of these Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12) units have not only been observed in their crystalline state,but also in their amorphous state.Due to the diverse surface structures and crystalline packing modes,these Ag_(29)-based assemblies manifest distinguishable optical absorptions and emissions in both solutions and crystallized films.Furthermore,the surface areas of the nanocluster crystals are evaluated,the maximum value of which occurs when the cluster nano-building blocks are assembled into 2 D arrays(i.e.Ag_(29)-2 D).Overall,this work presents an exciting example of the hierarchical assembly of atomically precise nanoclusters by simply controlling the adsorbed molecules on the cluster surface.Xiao Wei Xi Kang Zewen Zuo Fengqi Song Shuxin Wang Manzhou Zhu 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:0
