Terahertz synthetic aperture in-line holography with intensity correction and sparsity autofocusing reconstruction显示文摘We demonstrate high-resolution and high-quality terahertz(THz)in-line digital holography based on the synthetic aperture method. The setup is built on a self-developed THz quantum cascade laser, and a lateral resolution better than 70μm(~λ)is achieved at 4.3 THz.To correct intensity differences between sub-holograms before aperture stitching,a practical algorithm with global optimization is proposed. To address the twin-image problem for in-line holography,a sparsity-based phase retrieval algorithm is applied to perform the high-quality reconstruction.Furthermore,a new autofocusing criterion termed'reconstruction objective function'is introduced to obtain the best in-focus reconstruction distance,so the autofocusing procedure and the reconstruction are unified within the same framework. Both simulation and experiment prove its accuracy and robustness.Note that all the methods proposed here can be applied to other wavebands as well.We demonstrate the success of this THz synthetic aperture in-line holography on biological and semiconductor samples, showing its potential applications in bioimaging and materials analysis. | ZEYU LI RUIJIAO ZOU WEIPENG KONG XUEMIN WANG QINGHUA DENG QIANG YAN YU QIN WEIDONG WU XUN ZHOU | 2019 | Photonics Research2019,7,12: | 3
Control measures during the COVID-19 outbreak reduced the transmission of hand, foot, and mouth disease显示文摘Control measures during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak may have limited the spread of infectious diseases. This study aimed to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on the spread of hand, foot, and mouth disease(HFMD)in China.A mathematical model was established to fit the reported data of HFMD in six selected cities in China's Mainland from 2015 to 2020.The absolute difference(AD)and relative difference(RD)between the reported incidence in 2020,and simulated maximum, minimum,or median incidence of HFMD in 2015-2019 were calculated. The incidence and R effof HFMD have decreased in six selected cities since the outbreak of COVID-19,and in the second half of 2020,the incidence and R effof HFMD have rebounded. The results show that the total attack rate(TAR)in 2020 was lower than the maximum, minimum, and median TAR fitted in previous years in six selected cities(except Changsha City). For the maximum, median, minimum fitted TAR,the range of RD(%)is 42·20-99·20%,36·35-98·41%48·35-96·23%(except Changsha City)respectively. The preventive and control measures of COVID-19 have significantly contributed to the containment of HFMD transmission. | Yan Niu Li Luo Jia Rui Shiting Yang Bin Deng Zeyu Zhao Shengnan Lin Jingwen Xu Yuanzhao Zhu Yao Wang Meng Yang Xingchun Liu Tianlong Yang Weikang Liu Peihua Li Zhuoyang Li Chan Liu Jiefeng Huang Tianmu Chen | 2021 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2021,2,2: | 3
A field-effect approach to directly profiling the localized states in monolayer MoS2显示文摘A fundamental understanding of the charge transport mechanism in two-dimensional semiconductors(e.g., MoS2) is crucial for fully exploring their potential in electronic and optoelectronic devices. By using monolayer graphene as the barrier-free contact to MoS2, we show that the field-modulated conductivity can be used to probe the electronic structure of the localized states. A series of regularly distributed plateaus were observed in the gate-dependent transfer curves. Calculations based on the variable-range hopping theory indicate that such plateaus can be attributed to the discrete localized states near mobility edge. This method provides an effective approach to directly profiling the localized states in conduction channel with an ultrahigh resolution up to 1 meV. | Hao Wu Yuan Liu Zeyu Deng Hung-Chieh Cheng Dehui Li Jian Guo Qiyuan He Sen Yang Mengning Ding Yun-Chiao Huang Chen Wang Yu Huang Xiangfeng Duan | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,15: | 2
Genes in the serotonin pathway are associated with bipolar affective disorder in a Han Chinese population显示文摘Serotonin plays an important role in mood regulation, but the involvement of serotonin pathway genes in the development of bipolar I disorder (BP-I), a mood disorder, is not clear. We selected 21 singlenucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the HTR2A gene, 8 within the SLC6A4 gene and 23 within the TPH2 gene for genotyping using the GoldenGate genotyping assay. A total of 375 patients with BP-I and 475 normal controls were recruited. Two out of 21 SNPs (rs1475196 and rs9567747) in the HTR2A gene and 1/23 SNPs (rs17110566) in the TPH2 gene were significantly associated with BP-I, both genotype-wise and allele-wise. Furthermore, a specific haplotype in the HTR2A gene showed a significant association with BP-I. Our results indicate that the HTR2A and TPH2 genes in the serotonin pathway play important roles in susceptibility to BP-I. | Bo Xiang Zhenxing Yang Yin Lin Lijie Guan Xuan Li Wei Deng Zeyu Jiang Guohui Lao Qiang Wang Xiaoyu Hao Xiang Liu Yingcheng Wang Liansheng Zhao Xiaohong Ma Tao Li Liping Cao Xun Hu | 2014 | Neuroscience Bulletin2014,30,1: | 2
Analysis on internal mechanism of zedoary turmeric in treatment of liver cancer based on pharmacodynamic substances and pharmacodynamic groups显示文摘Zedoary tumeric(Curcumae Rhizoma,Ezhu in Chinese)has a long history of application and has great potential in the treatment of liver cancer. The antiliver cancer effect of zedoary tumeric depends on the combined action of multiple pharmacodynamic substances. In order to clarify the specific mechanism of zedoary tumeric against liver cancer, this paper first analyzes the mechanism of its single pharmacodynamic substance against liver cancer, and then verifies the joint anti liver cancer mechanism of its“pharmacodynamic group”.By searching the research on the antihepatoma effect of active components of zedoary tumeric in recent years,we found that pharmacodynamic substances, including curcumol,zedoarondiol,curcumenol,curzerenone,curdione,curcumin,germacrone,β-elemene,can act on multi-target and multi-channel to play an antihepatoma role. For example, curcumin can regulate miR,GLO1,CD133,VEGF,YAP,LIN28B,GPR81,HCAR-1,P53 and PI3K/Akt/mTOR,HSP70/TLR4 and NF-κB.Wnt/TGF/EMT,Nrf2/Keap1,JAK/STAT and other pathways play an antihepatoma role.Network pharmacological analysis showed that the core targets of the“pharmacodynamic group”for anti-life cancer are AKT1,EGFR,MAPK8,etc,and the core pathways are neuroactive live receiver interaction, nitrogen metabolism,HIF-1 signaling pathway, etc. At the same time,by comparing and analyzing the relationship between the specific mechanisms of pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”,it is found that they have great reference significance in target, pathway, biological function, determination of core pharmacodynamic components, formation of core target protein interaction,in-depth research of single pharmacodynamic substance, increasing curative effect and so on.By analyzing the internal mechanism of zedoary tumeric pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”in the treatment of liver cancer, this paper intends to provide some ideas and references for the deeper pharmacological research of zedoary tumeric and the relationship between pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”. | Zeyu Li Erwei Hao Rui Cao Si Lin Linghui Zou Tianyan Huang Zhengcai Du Xiaotao Hou Jiagang Deng | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,4: | 2
Feasibility of Booster Vaccination in High-Risk Populations for Controlling Coronavirus Variants—China,2021显示文摘Introduction:Vaccination booster shots are completely necessary for controlling breakthrough infections of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)in China. The study aims to estimate effectiveness of booster vaccines for high-risk populations(HRPs).Methods:A vaccinated Susceptible-Exposed-Symptomatic-Asymptomatic-Recovered/Removed(SEIAR)model was developed to simulate scenarios of effective reproduction number(Reff)from 4 to 6.Total number of infectious and asymptomatic cases were used to evaluated vaccination effectiveness. Results:Our model showed that we could not prevent outbreaks when covering 80%of HRPs with booster unless Reff=4.0 or the booster vaccine had efficacy against infectivity and susceptibility of more than 90%.The results were consistent when the outcome index was confirmed cases or asymptomatic cases. Conclusions:An ideal coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)booster vaccination strategy for HRPs would be expected to reach the initial goal to control the transmission of the Delta variant in China.Accordingly, the recommendation for the COVID-19 booster vaccine should be implemented in HRPs who are already vaccinated and could prevent transmission to other groups. | Kangguo Li Zeyu Zhao Hongjie Wei Jia Rui Jiefeng Huang Xiaohao Guo Yichao Guo Shiting Yang Guzainuer Abudurusuli Li Luo Xingchun Liu Yao Wang Jingwen Xu Yuanzhao Zhu Meng Yang TianlongYang Weikang Liu Bin Deng Chan Liu Zhuoyang Li Peihua Li Shanshan Yu Zimei Yang Yanhua Su Benhua Zhao Yan Niu Tianmu Chen | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,50: | 2
Probing the active sites of 2D nanosheets with Fe-N-C carbon shell encapsulated Fe_(x)C/Fe species for boosting sodium-ion storage performances显示文摘Developing stable but high active metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)-based hard carbon anode is a promising way to be the alternatives to graphene and blank hard carbon for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),requiring the precise tailoring of the electronic structure for optimizing the Na+intercalation behavior, yet is greatly challenging.Herein,Fe-N-C graphitic layer-encapsulating Fe3C species within hard carbon nanosheets(Fe-N-C/Fe3C@HCNs)are rationally engineered by pyrolysis of self-assembled polymer.Impressively, the Fe-N-C/Fe3C@HCNs exhibit outstanding rate capacity(242 mAh·g^(−1)at 2,000 mA·g^(−1)),which is 2.1 and 4.2 times higher than that of Fe-N-C and N-doped carbon(N-C),respectively,and prolonged cycling stability(176 mAh·g^(−1)at 2,000 mA·g^(−1)after 2,000 cycles).Theoretical calculations unveil that the Fe3C species enhance the electronic transfer from Na to Fe-N-C,resulting in the charge redistribution between the interfaces of Fe3C and Fe-N-C.Thus,the optimized adsorption behavior towards Na+reduces the thermodynamic energy barriers. The synergistic effect of Fe3C and Fe-N-C species maintains the structural integrity of electrode materials during the sodiation/desodiation process. The in-depth insight into the advanced Na+storage mechanisms of Fe3C@Fe-N-C offers precise guidance for the rational establishment of confinement heterostructures in SIBs. | Huicong Xia Pengfei Yuan Lingxing Zan Gan Qu Yunchuan Tu Kaixin Zhu Yifan Wei Zeyu WeiFangying Zheng Mo Zhang Yongfeng Hu Dehui Deng Jianan Zhang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 1
Simulating potential outbreaks of Delta and Omicron variants based on contact-tracing data:A modelling study in Fujian Province,China显示文摘Although studies have compared the relative severity of Omicron and Delta variants by assessing the relative risks, there are still gaps in the knowledge of the potential COVID-19 burden these variations may cause. And the contact patterns in Fujian Province,China, have not been described. We identified 8969 transmission pairs in Fujian,China,by analyzing a contact-tracing database that recorded a SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in September 2021.We estimated the waning vaccine effectiveness against Delta variant infection, contact patterns, and epidemiology distributions, then simulated potential outbreaks of Delta and Omicron variants using a multi-group mathematical model. For instance,in the contact setting without stringent lockdowns,we estimated that in a potential Omicron wave, only 4.7%of infections would occur in Fujian Province among individuals aged>60 years. In comparison,58.75%of the death toll would occur in unvaccinated individuals aged>60 years.Compared with no strict lockdowns, combining school or factory closure alone reduced cumulative deaths of Delta and Omicron by 28.5%and 6.1%,respectively.In conclusion, this study validates the need for continuous mass immunization, especially among elderly aged over 60 years old.And it confirms that the effect of lockdowns alone in reducing infections or deaths is minimal. However, these measurements will still contribute to lowering peak daily incidence and delaying the epidemic, easing the healthcare system's burden. | Yichao Guo Wenjing Ye Zeyu Zhao Xiaohao Guo Wentao Song Yanhua Su Benhua Zhao Jianming Ou Yanqin Deng Tianmu Chen | 2023 | Infectious Disease Modelling2023,8,1: | 1
Modelling the Emerging COVID-19 Epidemic and Estimating Intervention Effectiveness—Taiwan,China,2021显示文摘Introduction:The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic recently affected Taiwan,China. This study aimed to calculate the transmissibility of COVID-19 to predict trends and evaluate the effects of interventions. Methods:The data of reported COVID-19 cases was collected from April 20 to May 26,2021,which included daily reported data(Scenario I)and reported data after adjustment(Scenario II).A susceptibleexposed-symptomatic-asymptomatic-recovered model was developed to fit the data. The effective reproductive number(Reff)was used to estimate the transmissibility of COVID-19.Results:A total of 4,854 cases were collected for the modelling. In Scenario I,the intervention has already taken some effects from May 17 to May 26(the Reff reduced to 2.1).When the Reff was set as 0.1,the epidemic was projected to end on July 4,and a total of 1,997 cases and 855 asymptomatic individuals would have been reported. In Scenario II,the interventions were projected as having been effective from May 24 to May 26(the Reff reduced to 0.4).When the Reff was set as 0.1,the epidemic was projected to end on July 1,and a total of 1,482 cases and 635 asymptomatic individuals would have been reported. Conclusion:The epidemic of COVID-19 was projected to end after at least one month, even if the most effective interventions were applied in Taiwan,China.Although there were some positive effects of intervention in Taiwan,China. | Weikang Liu Wenjing Ye Zeyu Zhao Chan Liu Bin Deng Li Luo Jiefeng Huang Yao Wang Jia Rui Benhua Zhao Yanhua Su Shenggen Wu Kun Chen Jianming Ou Tianmu Chen | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,34: | 1

Detection method for the cucumber robotic grasping pose in clutter scenarios via instance segmentation显示文摘The application of robotic grasping for agricultural products pushes automation in agriculture-related industries.Cucumber,a common vegetable in greenhouses and supermarkets, often needs to be grasped from a cluttered scene. In order to realize efficient grasping in cluttered scenes,a fully automatic cucumber recognition, grasping, and palletizing robot system was constructed in this paper. The system adopted Yolact++deep learning network to segment cucumber instances. An early fusion method of F-RGBD was proposed, which increases the algorithm's discriminative ability for these appearance-similar cucumbers at different depths, and at different occlusion degrees. The results of the comparative experiment of the F-RGBD dataset and the common RGB dataset on Yolact++prove the positive effect of the F-RGBD fusion method. Its segmentation masks have higher quality, are more continuous, and are less false positive for prioritizing-grasping prediction.Based on the segmentation result,a 4D grab line prediction method was proposed for cucumber grasping. And the cucumber detection experiment in cluttered scenarios is carried out in the real world. The success rate is 93.67%and the average sorting time is 9.87 s.The effectiveness of the cucumber segmentation and grasping pose acquisition method is verified by experiments. | Fan Zhang Zeyu Hou Jin Gao Junxiong Zhang Xue Deng | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,6: | 0
Conductive catalysis by subsurface transition metals显示文摘The nature of catalysis has been hotly pursued for over a century, and current research is focused on understanding active centers and their electronic structures. Herein, the concept of conductive catalysis is proposed and verified by theoretical simulations and experimental observations. Metallic systems containing buried catalytically active transitional metals and exposed catalytically inert main group metals are constructed, and the electronic interaction between them via metallic bonding is disclosed. Through the electronic interaction, the catalytic properties of subsurface transitional metals(Pd or Rh) can be transferred to outermost main group metals(Al or Mg) for several important transformations like semi-hydrogenation,Suzuki-coupling and hydroformylation. The catalytic force is conductive, in analogy with the magnetic force and electrostatic force. The traditional definition of active centers is challenged by the concept of conductive catalysis and the electronic nature of catalysis is more easily understood. It might provide new opportunities for shielding traditional active centers against poisoning or leaching and allow for precise regulation of their catalytic properties by the conductive layer. | Xin Deng Caiyan Zheng Yangsheng Li Zeyu Zhou Jiamin Wang Yihua Ran Zhenpeng Hu Fan Yang Landong Li | 2024 | National Science Review2024,11,1: | 0
New treatment for osteoarthritis:Gene therapy显示文摘Osteoarthritis is a complex degenerative disease that affects the entire joint tissue.Currently,non-surgical treatments for osteoarthritis focus on relieving pain. While end-stage osteoarthritis can be treated with arthroplasty, the health and financial costs associated with surgery have forced the search for alternative non-surgical treatments to delay the progression of osteoarthritis and promote cartilage repair.Unlike traditional treatment, the gene therapy approach allows for long-lasting expression of therapeutic proteins at specific sites. In this review,we summarize the history of gene therapy in osteoarthritis, outlining the common expression vectors(non-viral,viral),the genes delivered(transcription factors, growth factors,inflammation-associated cytokines,non-coding RNAs)and the mode of gene delivery(direct delivery, indirect delivery). We highlight the application and development prospects of the gene editing technology CRISPR/Cas9 in osteoarthritis. Finally,we identify the current problems and possible solutions in the clinical translation of gene therapy for osteoarthritis. | Xinyu Li Leyao Shen Zhenghan Deng Zeyu Huang | 2023 | Precision Clinical Medicine2023,6,2: | 0
3D MoS_(2) foam integrated with carbon paper as binder-free anode for high performance sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Molybdenum sulfide(MoS_(2))with well-designed porous structure has the potential to be great electrode materials in sodium-ion batteries due to its high theoretical capacity and abundant resource, however, hindered by its intrinsic low conductivity and stability.Herein,MoS_(2) with 3 D macroporous foam structure and high conductivity was obtained through SiO_(2) templates and integrated with carbon paper(3 D FMoS_(2)/CP).It has showed superior specific capacity(225 m A h g^(-1),0.4–3 V)and cycling stability(1000 cycles)at high rate(2000 m A g^(-1)),with a low decay rate(0.033%per cycle)in sodium-ion batteries. The excellent electrochemical performance may originate from its unique integrated structure:3 D MoS_(2) macropores providing high surface area and abundant transfer channels while carbon paper enhancing the conductivity of MoS_(2) and avoiding unnecessary side reactions brought by binder addition. | Fangying Zheng Zeyu Wei Huicong Xia Yunchuan Tu Xiangyu Meng Kaixin Zhu Jiao Zhao Yimin Zhu Jianan Zhang Yan Yang Dehui Deng | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 0
White light luminescence in Dy/Tm co-doped yttria stabilized zirconia single crystals显示文摘A series of high quality Dy_(2)O_(3) and Tm_(2)O_(3)co-doped yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ) single crystals was synthesized. These crystals have a single cubic structure, and exhibit the characteristic of Dy^(3+)(blue and yellow emissions) and Tm^(3+)(blue emission) under excitation with NUV light.Impo rtantly, the hue can be varied between blue and white by modifying the Tm^(3+)/Dy^(3+)ratio.The photoluminescence and decay curves are consistent with the existence of resonance-type energy transfer from Tm^(3+)to Dy^(3+)ions via an electric multipole interaction mechanism.Maximum luminescence intensity is observed in YSZ doped with 0.50 mol% Tm_(2)O_(3) and 0.75 mol% Dy_(2)O_(3),and this sample has CIE coordinates(x = 0.33,y = 0.33) in accordance with those for white chromaticity. Thus, the outstanding luminescence properties of these single crystals suggest potential applications in white light emission devices. | Xing Hong Lei Zhang Shoulei Xu Zeyu Cheng Yazhao Wang Bernard A.Goodman Dingkang Xiong Wen Deng | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,12: | 0

Mathematical Models Supporting Control of COVID-19显示文摘Mathematical models have played an important role in the management of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.The aim of this review is to describe uses of COVID-19 mathematical models, their classification, and the advantages and disadvantages of different types of models. We conducted subject heading searches of PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure with the terms“COVID-19,”“Mathematical Statistical Model,”“Model,”“Modeling,”“Agent-based Model,”and“Ordinary Differential Equation Model”and classified and analyzed the scientific literature retrieved in the search. We categorized the models as data-driven or mechanism-driven.Data-driven models are mainly used for predicting epidemics, and have the advantage of rapid assessment of disease instances. However, their ability to determine transmission mechanisms is limited.Mechanism-driven models include ordinary differential equation(ODE)and agent-based models.ODE models are used to estimate transmissibility and evaluate impact of interventions.Although ODE models are good at determining pathogen transmission characteristics, they are less suitable for simulation of early epidemic stages and rely heavily on availability of first-hand field data.Agent-based models consider influences of individual differences, but they require large amounts of data and can take a long time to develop fully. Many COVID-19 mathematical modeling studies have been conducted, and these have been used for predicting trends, evaluating interventions, and calculating pathogen transmissibility.Successful infectious disease modeling requires comprehensive considerations of data, applications, and purposes. | Bin Deng Yan Niu Jingwen Xu Jia Rui Shengnan Lin Zeyu Zhao Shanshan Yu Yichao Guo Li Luo Tianmu Chen Qun Li | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,40: | 0
