1Genome-wide identification and co-expression network analysis of the Os NF-Y gene family in rice显示文摘Nuclear factor Y(NF-Y) is a ubiquitous transcription factor that regulates important physiological and developmental processes. In this study, we identified 34 Os NF-Y genes in rice, including 6 newly identified genes. Expression profile analysis covering the whole life cycle revealed that transcripts of Os NF-Y differentially accumulated in a tissue-specific,preferential or constitutive manner. In addition, gene duplication studies and expression analyses were performed to determine the evolutionary origins of the Os NF-Y gene family.Nine Os NF-Y genes were differentially expressed after treatment of seedlings with one or more abiotic stresses such as drought, salt and cold. Analysis of expression correlation and Gene Ontology annotation suggested that Os NF-Y genes were co-expressed with genes that participated in stress, accumulation of seed storage reserves, and plant development.Co-expression analysis also revealed that Os NF-Y genes might interact with each other,suggesting that NF-Y subunits formed complexes that take part in transcriptional regulation. 2Composition engineering to obtain efficient hybrid perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Metal halide perovskites have received considerable attention in the field of electroluminescence,and the external quantum efficiency of perovsk'c lightemitting diodes has exceeded 20%.CH3NH3PbBr3 has been intensely investigated as an emitting layer in perovskite light-emitting diodes.However,perovskite films comprising CH3NH3PbBr3 often exhibit low surface coverage and poor crystallinity,leading to high current leakage,severe nonradiative recombination,and limited device performance.Herein,we demonstrate a rationale for composition engineering to obtain high-quality perovskite films.We first reduce pinholes by adding excess CH3NH3B1 to the actual CH3NH3PbBr3 films,and we then add CsBr to improve the crystalline quality and to passivate nonradiative defects.As a result,the(CH3NH3)1-xCSxPbBx based perovskite light-emitting diodes exhibit significantly improved external quantum and power efficiencies of 6.97%and 25.181m/W,respectively,representing an improvement in performance dozens of times greater than that of pristine CH3NH3PbBr3-based perovskite light-emitting diodes.Our study demonstrates that composition engineering is an effective strategy for enhancing the device performance of perovskite light-emitting diodes.Chuanzhong YAN Kebin LIN Jianxun LU Zhanhua WEI 2020Frontiers of Optoelectronics2020,13,3:3

4The strategies for preparing blue perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Metal halide perovskites have attracted tremendous interest due to their excellent optical and electrical properties,and they find many promising applications in the optoelectronic fields of solar cells,light-emitting diodes,and photodetectors.Thanks to the contributions of international researchers,significant progress has been made for perovskite light-emitting diodes(Pero-LEDs).The external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)of Pero-LEDs with emission of green,red,and near-infrared have all exceeded 20%.However,the blue Pero-LEDs still lag due to the poor film quality and deficient device structure.Herein,we summarize the strategies for preparing blue-emitting perovskites and categorize them into two:compositional engineering and size controlling of the emitting units.The advantages and disadvantages of both strategies are discussed,and a perspective of preparing high-performance blue-emitting perovskite is proposed.The challenges and future directions of blue PeroLEDs fabrication are also discussed.Jianxun Lu Zhanhua Wei 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,5:2

8The genetic arms race between plant and Xanthomonas:lessons learned from TALE biology显示文摘The pathogenic bacterial genus Xanthomonas infects a wide variety of host plants and causes devastating diseases in many crops.Transcription activator-like effectors(TALEs)are important virulence factors secreted by Xanthomonas with the ability to directly bind to the promoters of target genes in plant hosts and activate their expression,which often facilitates the proliferation of pathogens.Understanding how plants cope with TALEs will provide mechanistic insights into crop breeding for Xanthomonas defense.Over the past 30 years,numerous studies have revealed the modes of action of TALEs in plant cells and plant defense strategies to overcome TALE attack.Based on these findings,new technologies were adopted for disease management to optimize crop production.In this article,we will review the most recent advances in the evolutionary arms race between plant resistance and TALEs from Xanthomonas,with a specific focus on TALE applications in the development of novel breeding strategies for durable and broad-spectrum resistance.Jiao Xue Zhanhua Lu Wei Liu Shiguang Wang Dongbai Lu Xiaofei Wang Xiuying He 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,1:0
