Vertical shaking table tests on the structure with viscoelastic multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation devices显示文摘The viscoelastic multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation device is a new kind of passive control device, which can perform its 'name-giving' task of earthquake isolation and earthquake mitigation simultaneously. In order to quantify its vertical earthquake isolation and mitigation effect on structures, firstly, shaking table tests on steel frame structures with and without the devices were carried out; secondly, analysis on dynamic characteristics and dynamic responses of the structures was also performed; furthermore, the finite element analytical results and the experimental results were compared. It can be shown from the analytical and experimental results that the devices have noticeable earthquake isolation and mitigation effect in the vertical direction. | XU ZhaoDong SHI BenQiang WU KeYi ZENG Xiao | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,10: | 4
Horizontal shaking table tests and analysis on structures with multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation devices显示文摘The viscoelastic multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation device is a new kind of passive control device, which has both earthquake isolation and earthquake mitigation abilities. In order to quantify the horizontal earthquake isolation and mitigation effect of this device on structures, shaking table tests on structures with and without the devices and the corresponding analysis on earthquake isolation and mitigation properties are carried out. It can be shown from the experimental and analytical results that the device has both earthquake isolation and earthquake mitigation effects on structures in horizontal direction, and its horizontal earthquake mitigation coefficients can be referred to those of the rubber bearing earthquake isolation structure. | ZhaoDong Xu Xiao Zeng KeYi Wu AiQun Li QingYang Xu | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,7: | 3
Human resources allocation for aircraft maintenance with predefined sequence显示文摘There are always large-scale items in the maintenances schedule of aircraft system, many of which have been fixed to be done in predefined sequences, which leads the workflow to be sys-tematically complex and makes this kind of problem quite different from all sorts of existing job-selection modes. On the other hand, the human resources are always limited and men have different working capabilities on different items, which make the allocation operation of human resources be much roomy. However, the final total time span of maintenance is often required to be as short as possible in many practices, in order to suffer only the lowest cost of loss while the system is stopping. A new model for op-timizing the allocation if aircraft maintenance human resources with the constraint of predefined sequence is presented. The ge-netic algorithm is employed to find the optimal solution that holds the shortest total time span of maintenance. To generate the ul-timate maintenance work items and the human resource array, the sequences among all maintenance work items are considered firstly, the work item array is then generated through traversal with the constraint of maintenance sequence matrix, and the human resources are finally allocated according to the work item array with the constraint of the maintenance capability. An example is demonstrated to show that the model and algorithm behave a satisfying performance on finding the optimal solution as expected. | Zhaodong Huang Wenbing Chang Yiyong Xiao Yuchun Xu Rui Liu | 2010 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,6: | 2

Strength and ductility enhancement of twin-roll cast Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with high solidification intervals through a synergistic segregation-controlling strategy显示文摘Center segregation and banded intergranular segregation(B-IGS)should be well controlled to improve the mechanical properties of twin-roll cast(TRC)aluminum alloys, especially for alloys with high solid-ification intervals. In the present work,a synergistic grain refinement strategy was designed using an Al-5Ti-B grain refiner and Ti,Zr,and Sc microalloying elements to simultaneously control center seg-regation and B-IGS in TRC Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys. As the grain size decreased, center segregation defects were eliminated and transformed into dispersed B-IGS defects;simultaneously, the width and length of the B-IGS were also reduced. Moreover, the macro-distributions of the alloying elements along the thickness direction became more homogeneous due to a weak shear-induced dilation effect. The well-controlled multiscale segregation improved the uniformity of the alloy macrostructure, accelerated the redissolution of the crystalline phase, dispersed the aggregated residual phase, and refined grains under the T6 state.Hence, the strength and ductility of the alloys under the T6 state were simultaneously improved, and the hardness distribution along the thickness direction became more homogenous.Furthermore, the underlying mechanisms of segregation evolution and strength and ductility enhancements were elucidated. This work provides a novel strategy to effectively control multiscale segregation and produce high-performance aluminum alloys with high solidification intervals by TRC. | Bing Lu Yong Li Wei Yu Haiyao Wang Yin Wang Zhaodong Wang Guangming Xu | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,11: | 1

Nuclear RIPK1 promotes chromatin remodeling to mediate inflammatory response显示文摘RIPK1 is a master regulator of multiple cell death pathways, including apoptosis and necroptosis, and inflammation.Importantly, activation of RIPK1 has also been shown to promote the transcriptional induction of proinflammatory cytokines in cells undergoing necroptosis,in animal models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)and Alzheimer's disease(AD),and in human ALS and AD.Rare human genetic carriers of non-cleavable RIPK1 variants(D324V and D324H)exhibit distinct symptoms of recurrent fevers and increased transcription of proinflammatory cytokines.Multiple RIPK1 inhibitors have been advanced into human clinical trials as new therapeutics for human inflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS and AD.However,it is unclear whether and how RIPK1 kinase activity directly mediates inflammation independent of cell death as the nuclear function of RIPK1 has not yet been explored. Here we show that nuclear RIPK1 is physically associated with the BAF complex.Upon RIPK1 activation, the RIPK1/BAF complex is recruited by specific transcription factors to active enhancers and promoters marked by H3K4me1 and H3K27ac.Activated nuclear RIPK1 mediates the phosphorylation of SMARCC2,a key component of the BAF complex,to promote chromatin remodeling and the transcription of specific proinflammatory genes.Increased nuclear RIPK1 activation and RIPK1/BAF-mediated chromati n-remodeling activity were found in cells expressi ng non-cleavable RIPK1,and in creased enrichment of activated RIPK1 on active enhancers and promoters was found in an animal model and human pathological samples of ALS.Our results suggest that RIPK1 kinase serves as a transcriptional coregulator in nucleus that can transmit extracellular stimuli to the BAF complex to modulate chromatin accessibility and directly regulate the transcription of specific genes involved in mediating inflammatory resp onses. | Wanjin Li Bing Shan Chengyu Zou Huibing Wang Meng-Meng Zhang Hong Zhu Masanori Gomi Naito Daichao Xu Vica Jean Manuel Lauren Mifflin Zhaodong Hou John Ravits Junying Yuan | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,7: | 1
