| 1 | Controlled 2D growth of organic semiconductor crystals by suppressing “coffee-ring” effect显示文摘Owing to enhanced charge transport efficiency arising from the ultrathin nature,two-dimensional(2D)organic semiconductor single crystals(OSSCs)are emerging as a fascinating platform for high-performance organic field-effect transistors(OFETs).However,ucoffee-ring'effect induced by an evaporation-induced convective flow near the contact line hinders the large-area growth of 2D OSSCs through a solution process.Here,we develop a new strategy of suppressing the'coffee-ring'effect by using an organic semiconductor:polymer blend solution.With the high-viscosity polymer in the organic solution,the evaporation-induced flow is remarkably weakened,ensuring the uniform molecule spreading for the 2D growth of the OSSCs.As an example,wafer-scale growth of crystalline film consisting of few-layered 2,7-didecylbenzothienobenzothiophene(C10-BTBT)crystals was successfully accomplished via blade coating.OFETs based on the crystalline film exhibited a maximum hole mobility up to 12.6 cm^2·V^-1·s^-1,along with an average hole mobility as high as 8.2 cm^2·V^-1·s^-1.Our work provides a promising strategy for the large-area growth of 2D OSSCs toward high-performance organic electronics. | Wei Wang Bei Lu Wei Deng Xiujuan Zhang Zhengjun Lu Di Wu Jiansheng Jie Xiaohong Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,9: | 2 |
| 2 | QNE1 is a key flowering regulator determining the length of the vegetative period in soybean cultivars显示文摘The soybean E1 gene is a major regulator that plays an important role in flowering time and maturity.However,it remains unclear how cultivars carrying the dominant E1 allele adapt to the higher latitudinal areas of northern China.We mapped the novel quantitative trait locus QNE1(QTL near E1) for flowering time to the region proximal to E1 on chromosome 6 in two mapping populations.Positional cloning revealed Glyma.06G204300,encoding a TCP-type transcription factor,as a strong candidate gene for QNE1.Association analysis further confirmed that functional single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) at nucleotides 686 and 1,063 in the coding region of Glyma.06G204300 were significantly associated with flowering time.The protein encoded by the candidate gene is localized primarily to the nucleus.Furthermore,soybean and Brassica napus plants overexpressing Glyma.06G204300 exhibited early flowering.We conclude that despite their similar effects on flowering time,QNE1 and E4 may control flowering time through different regulatory mechanisms,based on expression studies and weighted gene co-expression network analysis of flowering time-related genes.Deciphering the molecular basis of QNE1 control of flowering time enriches our knowledge of flowering gene networks in soybean and will facilitate breeding soybean cultivars with broader latitudinal adaptation. | Zhengjun Xia Hong Zhai Yanfeng Zhang Yaying Wang Lu Wang Kun Xu Hongyan Wu Jinglong Zhu Shuang Jiao Zhao Wan Xiaobin Zhu Yi Gao Yingxiang Liu Rong Fan Shihao Wu Xin Chen Jinyu Liu Jiayin Yang Qijian Song Zhixi Tian | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,12: | 1 |

| 4 | Safety Evaluation of Water Environment Carrying Capacity of Five Cities in Ningxia Based on Ecological Footprint of Water Resources显示文摘[Objectives]To make safety evaluation of water environment carrying capacity of five cities in Ningxia based on ecological footprint of water resources.[Methods]With the help of the grey relational model,15 indicators were selected from the natural,economic,and social aspects,and the most influential factors in the three fields were selected.Based on the concept of ecological priority,the water resources carrying capacity of the five cities in Ningxia from 2010 to 2019 was calculated with the help of the water resources ecological footprint model.Then,the indicators of the water resources ecological footprint model were coupled with the existing indicators to establish a comprehensive evaluation indicator system.Finally,the changes of the water environment carrying capacity of the five cities in Ningxia were analyzed with the help of the principal component analysis(PCA).[Results]The ecological pressure of water resources and the ecological deficit of water resources in the five cities were relatively large.Specifically,Yinchuan City had the most obvious deficit of water resources but good carrying capacity;Zhongwei City had a large ecological deficit of water resources,poor carrying capacity,and the largest ecological pressure index of water resources;Guyuan City had low water resources ecological deficit,water resources ecological carrying capacity and water resources ecological pressure index.[Conclusions]Through the analysis of the coupling indicator system,it can be seen that the water environment carrying capacity of the five cities is in an upward trend,indicating that the water environment in each region tends to become better. | Chang LU Rui XI Zhengjun HEI Lian TANG | 2022 | Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,5: | 1 |

| 7 | Mating Ethogram of a Video-aided Study of Mating and Parturition in Captive Chinese Crocodile Lizards (Shinisaurus crocodilurus)显示文摘Mating behavior and parturition are important components in the life history of any species. The endangered Chinese crocodile lizard(Shinisaurus crocodilurus) is suffering dramatic population decreases in the wild. Successful captive breeding can provide individuals to be reintroduced into their natural habitat and help to restore the wild populations. Studying the mating behavior and parturition of these lizards in captivity will enable us understand how is this ancient species reproduction and optimize artificial reproduction protocol. We studied the mating behavior and parturition of Chinese crocodile lizards in captivity using video recordings at the Daguishan National Nature Reserve, China, from 2015 to 2017. We analyzed pre-copulation and copulation, which occurred in mid-March to late May from all studied years. Pre-copulation and copulation lasted on average 7.51(n=11) and 27.45(n=11) minutes, respectively. We found that large-bodied male lizards have longer copulation periods, a pattern seen in other lizard species. In the mating event, males always initiated sex, while the females were passive. The duration of parturition lasted 153.8 ± 26.8(n=46) minutes, and larger females had heavier clutches. | 8 | Breeding ecology and oviposition site selection of blackspotted pond frogs (Rana nigromaculata) in Ningbo, China显示文摘The black-spotted pond frog(Rana nigromaculata)is one of the most widely distributed species in China.However,there have been only a few qualitative descriptions of their breeding ecology and oviposition site selection.From 2004 to 2006,we investigated the breeding ecology and oviposition site selection of R.nigromaculata in Ningbo,China,quantitatively.Analyses of breeding ecology show that:(1)mean frog density in the breeding season was 0.0903±0.0029 individuals per meter(n=11)(mean±SE);(2)R.nigromaculata was a sexually dimorphic species,with females significantly larger than males in both body weight and snout-vent length;(3)the clutch size averaged 4643.04±235.96 eggs(range 1546–7897,n550);and(4)the egg size ranged from 1.50 to 1.74 mm in diameter,with an average egg size of 1.6050±0.0046 mm(n=226).Oviposition sites differed significantly from random sites in percentages of water,bare ground and vegetation cover,water depth(cm),water temperature(uC)and water turbidity.Rana nigromaculata preferred microhabitats with higher percentages of water and vegetation cover,while it avoided microhabitats with deeper water.The results suggest that microhabitats with higher percentages of water and vegetation cover,but not deeper water,should be priorities for protection and conservation of the breeding habitats of R.nigromaculata. | Yanping WANG Zhengjun WU Ping LU Fang ZHANG Yiming LI | 2008 | Frontiers in Biology2008,3,4: | 0 |
