2GSH-triggered sequential catalysis for tumor imaging and eradication based on star-like Au/Pt enzyme carrier system显示文摘Distinctively different metabolism between tumor cells and normal cells endows tumor tissues unique microenvironment.In this regard,we have successfully prepared a sequential catalytic platform based on Au/Pt star for tumor theragnostic.The multifunctional probes consisted of a gold/platinum star-shaped core(Au/Pt star)conjugated with a GSH-sensitive disulfide bond(S–S),a targeting ligand(rHSA-FA),a near-infrared fluorophore(IR780)and glucose oxidase(GOx).When systemically administered in a xenografted murine model,the probes specifically targeted the tumor sites.As the disulfide linker was cleaved by intracellular GSH,the IR780 molecules could be released for photo-thermal therapy&photodynamic therapy(PTT&PDT)and imaging.Subsequently,the Pt nanolayer of the Au/Pt star and the GOx formed a sequential catalytic system:GOx effectively catalyzed intracellular glucose by consuming oxygen to generate H2O2 and enhance the local acidity,and the Pt layer exhibited peroxidase-like property to catalyze H2O2 producing toxic·OH for tumor oxidative damage.Here we demonstrated that our probes simultaneously possessed a GSH-sensitive release,real-time imaging ability,and synergetic cancer starving-like therapy/enzyme oxidative therapy/PTT/PDT features,which provides a potential strategy for effective tumor theragnostic.Amin Zhang Qian Zhang Gabriel Alfranca Shaojun Pan Zhicheng Huang Jin Cheng Qiang Ma Jie Song Yunxiang Pan Jian Ni Lijun Ma Daxiang Cui 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:4

4Fluid-Structure Interaction Simulation of Aqueous Outflow System in Response to Juxtacanalicular Meshwork Permeability Changes with a Two-Way Coupled Method显示文摘Elevated intraocular pressure appears to have a broader impact on increased resistance to aqueous humor outflow through the conventional aqueous outflow system(AOS).However,there is still no consensus about exact location of the increased outflow resistance of aqueous humor,and the mechanism is not perfect.In addition,it is difficult to accurately obtain hydrodynamic parameters of aqueous humor within the trabecular meshwork outflow pathways based on the current technology.In this paper,a two-way fluid-structure interaction simulation was performed to study the pressure difference and velocity in the superficial trabecular meshwork,juxtacanalicular meshwork(JCM)and Schlemm’s canal in response to JCM permeability changes.We obtained the JCM permeability of normal intraocular pressure varied between 1×10?15 m2 and 10×10?15 m2 while permeability of the JCM ranged from 2×10?16 m2 and 3×10?16 m2 under conditions of high intraocular pressure.The study indicated that the fluid dynamics parameters in trabecular meshwork and Schlemm’s canal are most significantly affected by the changes of JCM permeability.Moreover,the study demonstrates that the finite element modeling of AOS provides a practical means for studying the outflow dynamics and the biomechanical environment of the AOS.Jing Zhang Xiuqing Qian Haixia Zhang Zhicheng Liu 2018Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2018,,8:3

10Experimental Study of Aqueous Humor Flow in a Transparent Anterior Segment Phantom by Using PIV Technique显示文摘Pupillary block is considered as an important cause of primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG).In order to investigate the effect of pupillary block on the hydrodynamics of aqueous humor(AH)in anterior chamber(AC)and potential risks,a 3D printed eye model was developed to mimic the AH flow driven by fluid generation,the differential pressure between AC and posterior chambers(PC)and pupillary block.Particle image velocimetry technology was applied to visualize flow distribution.The results demonstrated obvious differences in AH flow with and without pupillary block.Under the normal condition(without pupillary block),the flow filed of AH was nearly symmetric in the AC.The highest flow velocity located at the central of AC when the differential pressure between AC and PC was under 5.83 Pa,while it appeared near the cornea and iris surface when the differential pressure was greater than 33.6 Pa.Once pupillary block occurred,two asymmetric vortices with different sizes were observed and the shear stress in the paracentral cornea and iris epithelium increased greatly.It can be concluded that the pupillary block and the elevated differential pressure between AC and PC could change the flow distribution and thus increase the risk of corneal endothelial cells detachment.This study could make a further understanding of the pathogenesis of PACG.Wenjia Wang Xiuqing Qian Qi Li Gong Zhang Huangxuan Zhao Tan Li Yang Yu Hongfang Song Zhicheng Liu 2019Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics2019,16,1:1

13Robust sequential design for piecewise-stationary multi-armed bandit problem in the presence of outliers显示文摘The multi-armed bandit(MAB)problem studies the sequential decision making in the presence of uncertainty and partial feedback on rewards.Its name comes from imagining a gambler at a row of slot machines who needs to decide the best strategy on the number of times as well as the orders to play each machine.It is a classic reinforcement learning problem which is fundamental to many online learning problems.In many practical applications of the MAB,the reward distributions may change at unknown time steps and the outliers(extreme rewards)often exist.Current sequential design strategies may struggle in such cases,as they tend to infer additional change points to fit the outliers.In this paper,we propose a robust change-detection upper confidence bound(RCD-UCB)algorithm which can distinguish the real change points from the outliers in piecewise-stationary MAB settings.We show that the proposed RCD-UCB algorithm can achieve a nearly optimal regret bound on the order of O(√SKT log T),where T is the number of time steps,K is the number of arms and S is the number of stationary segments.We demonstrate its superior performance compared to some state-of-the-art algorithms in both simulation experiments and real data analysis.(See https://github.com/woaishufenke/MAB_STRF.git for the codes used in this paper.)Yaping Wang Zhicheng Peng Riquan Zhang Qian Xiao 2021Statistical Theory and Related Fields2021,5,2:0

15Insights into the Ti^(4+) doping in P2-type Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.52)Ti_(0.15)O_(2) for enhanced performance of sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Due to the sodium abundance and availability,sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have the potential to meet the worldwide growing demand of electrical energy storage.P2-type sodium transition-metal layer oxides with a high energy density are considered as the most promising cathode materials for SIBs.We present here a detailed study of the enhanced rate capability and cyclic stability of the Ti-doped Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.67)O_(2)cathode material.The combined analysis of ex-situ X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)spectroscopy,aberration-corrected high resolution transmission electron microscopy(AB-HRTEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)show that the strong Ti–O bond in the transition metal layers stabilizes the local structure,destroy the Na+-vacancy ordering and arrest the irreversible multiphase transformation that occurs during the intercalation/deintercalation process.Actually,Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.52)Ti_(0.15)O_(2)exhibits a reversible capacity of 89.6 mA h g^(-1)even at 5 C,an excellent cyclability with 88.78%capacity retention after 200 cycles at 0.5 C.This study provides a better understanding in optimization of the design of high-energy cathode materials based on titanium doped layered oxides for SIBs.Shi Tao Wei ZhouaDajun Wu Zhicheng Wang Bin Qian Wangsheng Chu Augusto Marcelli Li Song 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15:0
16Efficacy of early prone or lateral positioning in patients with severe COVID-19:a single-center prospective cohort显示文摘Background:Position intervention has been shown to improve oxygenation,but its role in non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19 has not been assessed.The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of early position intervention on non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19.Methods:This was a single-center,prospective observational study in consecutive patients with severe COVID-19 managed in a provisional ICU at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from 31 January to 15 February 2020.Patients with chest CT showing exudation or consolidation in bilateral peripheral and posterior parts of the lungs were included.Early position intervention(prone or lateral)was commenced for>4 hours daily for 10 days in these patients,while others received standard care.Results:The baseline parameters were comparable between the position intervention group(n=17)and the standard care group(n=35).Position intervention was well-tolerated and increased cumulative adjusted mean difference of SpO_(2)/FiO_(2)(409,95%CI 86 to 733)and ROX index(26,95%CI 9 to 43)with decreased Borg scale(−9,95%CI−15 to−3)during the first 7 days.It also facilitated absorption of lung lesions and reduced the proportion of patients with high National Early Warning Score 2(≥7)on days 7 and 14,with a trend toward faster clinical improvement.Virus shedding and length of hospital stay were comparable between the two groups.Conclusions:This study provides the first evidence for improved oxygenation and lung lesion absorption using early position intervention in non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19,and warrants further randomized trials.Zhong Ni Kaige Wang Ting Wang Yuenan Ni Wei Huang Ping Zhu Tao Fan Ye Wang Bo Wang Jun Deng Zhicheng Qian Jiasheng Liu Wenhao Cai Shanling Xu Yu Du Gang Wang Zongan Liang Weimin Li Jianfei Luo Fengming Luo Dan Liu 2020Precision Clinical Medicine2020,3,4:0
17Enhancement of CH_(3)CO^(*) adsorption by editing d-orbital states of Pd to boost C–C bond cleavage of ethanol eletrooxidation显示文摘Improving the complete ethanol electrooxidation on Pd-based catalysts in alkaline media has drawn widely attention due to the high mass energy density.However,the weak adsorption energy of CH_(3)CO^(*) on Pd restricts the C–C bond cleavage.Inspired by the molecular orbital theory,we proposed the d-state-editing strategy to construct more unoccupied d-states of Pd for the enhanced interaction with CH_(3)CO^(*) to break C–C bonds.As expected,the reduced number of e_g electrons and more unoccupied d-states of Pd successfully formed on as-prepared porous Rh Au–Pd Cu nanosheets(PNSs).Theoretical calculations show that the optimized d-states of Rh Au–Pd Cu PNS can effectively improve the adsorption of CH_(3)CO^(*) and drastically reduce the energy barrier of C–C bond cleavage,thus boosting the complete oxidation of ethanol.The charge ratio of C_1 pathway on Rh Au–Pd Cu PNSs is 51.5%,more than 2 times higher than that of Pd NSs.Our finding provides an innovative perspective for the design of highly-efficient noble-based electrocatalysts.Yuchen Qin Fengqi Wang Pei Liu Jinyu Ye Qian Wang Yao Wang Guangce Jiang Lijie Liu Pengfang Zhang Xiaobiao Liu Xin Zheng Yunlai Ren Junjun Li Zhicheng Zhang 2024Science China Chemistry2024,67,2:0
