| 2 | Comparing the Diagnostic Criteria for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus of World Health Organization 2013 with 1999 in Chinese Population显示文摘INTRODUCTION Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was earlier defined as 'hyperglycemia first recognized during pregnancy' and has more recently been described by American Diabetes Association (ADA) (2012) as diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes.[1] The hyperglycemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes study (HAPO) demonstrated that the risk of adverse maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes continuously increase as a function of maternal glycemia at 24-28 weeks,even within ranges previously considered normal for pregnancy.[2] After reviewing the results of the HAPO study,many international diabetes study groups,including the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups and ADA have adopted the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) at 24-28 weeks as a screening and diagnostic test and defined new cut-off values for GDM diagnosis.The Ministry of Health of China published the criteria for GDM,that is the same as the ADA criteria on July 1,2011.World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the 75 g OGTT with different cut-offvalues as a diagnostic test since 1999,changed its recommendation on 2013.In Hongkong and Yunnan province in China,most hospital adopted the WHO 1999 criteria,nevertheless,there is no evidence of multicenter and large sample to show that the GDM population within the same ethnic group diagnosed by the new WHO criteria matches those diagnosed by the old one and consistency between the two criteria has not been reported.Thus,we conducted this study to analyze the two criteria in Chinese pregnant women. | Weiwei Zhu Huixia Yang Yumei Wei Zilian Wang Xuelan Li Hairong Wu Nan Li Meihua Zhang Xinghui Liu Hua Zhang Yunhui Wang Jianmin Niu Yujie Gan Liruo Zhong Yunfeng Wang Anil Kapur | 2015 | Chinese Medical Journal2015,,1: | 42 |
| 3 | Processes of coastal ecosystem carbon sequestration and approaches for increasing carbon sink显示文摘The oceans are the largest carbon pools on Earth, and play the role of a 'buffer' in climate change. Blue carbon, the carbon(mainly organic carbon) captured by marine ecosystems, is one of the important mechanisms of marine carbon storage.Blue carbon was initially recognized only in the form of visible coastal plant carbon sequestration. In fact, microorganisms(phytoplankton, bacteria, archaea, viruses, and protozoa), which did not receive much attention in the past, account for more than 90% of the total marine biomass and are the main contributors to blue carbon. Chinese coastal seas, equivalent to 1/3 of China's total land area, have a huge carbon sink potential needing urgently research and development. In this paper, we focus on the processes and mechanisms of coastal ocean's carbon sequestration and the approaches for increasing that sequestration. We discuss the structures of coastal ecosystems, the processes of carbon cycle, and the mechanisms of carbon sequestration. Using the evolution of coastal ocean's carbon sinks in sedimentary records over geologic times, we also discuss the possible effects of natural processes and anthropogenic activities on marine carbon sinks. | 7 | Sika Deer Behavior Recognition Based on Machine Vision显示文摘With the increasing intensive and large-scale development of the sika deer breeding industry,it is crucial to assess the health status of the sika deer by monitoring their behaviours.A machine vision-based method for the behaviour recognition of sika deer is proposed in this paper.Google Inception Net(GoogLeNet)is used to optimise the model in this paper.First,the number of layers and size of the model were reduced.Then,the 5×5 convolution was changed to two 3×3 convolutions,which reduced the parameters and increased the nonlinearity of the model.A 5×5 convolution kernel was used to replace the original convolution for extracting coarse-grained features and improving the model’s extraction ability.A multi-scale module was added to the model to enhance the multi-faceted feature extraction capability of the model.Simultaneously,the Squeeze-and-Excitation Networks(SE-Net)module was included to increase the channel’s attention and improve the model’s accuracy.The dataset’s images were rotated to reduce overfitting.For image rotation,the angle wasmultiplied by 30°to obtain the dataset enhanced by rotation operations of 30°,60°,90°,120°and 150°.The experimental results showed that the recognition rate of this model in the behaviour of sika deer was 98.92%.Therefore,the model presented in this paper can be applied to the behaviour recognition of sika deer.The results will play an essential role in promoting animal behaviour recognition technology and animal health monitoring management. | He Gong Mingwang Deng Shijun Li Tianli Hu Yu Sun Ye Mu Zilian Wang Chang Zhang Thobela Louis Tyasi | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,12: | 0 |

| 9 | Interobserver Agreement and Reliability of Intrapartum Nonreassuring Cardiotocography and Prediction of Neonatal Acidemia显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the agreement and reliability of intrapartum nonreasurring cardiotocography(CTG)interpretation and prediction of neonatal acidemia by obstetricians working in different centers.Methods:A retrospective cohort study involving two tertiary hospitals(The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Perking University Third Hospital)was conducted between 30th September 2018 and 1st April 2019.Six obstetricians from two hospitals with three levels of experience(junior,medium,and senior)reviewed 100 nonreassuring fetal heart rate(FHR)tracings from 1 hour before the onset of abnormalities until delivery.Each reviewer determined the FHR pattern,the baseline,variability,and presence of acceleration,deceleration,sinusoidal pattern,and predicted whether neonatal acidemia and abnormal umbilical arterial pH<7.1 would occur.Inter-observer agreement was assessed using the proportions of agreement(Pa)and the proportion of specific agreement(Pa for each category).Reliability was evaluated with the kappa statistic(k-Light’s kappa for n raters)and Gwet’s AC1 statistic.Results:Good inter-observer agreement was found in evaluation of most variables(Pa>0.5),with the exception of early deceleration(Pa=0.39,95%confidence interval(CI):0.36,0.43).Reliability was also good among most variables(AC1>0.40),except for acceleration,early deceleration,and prediction of neonatal acidemia(AC1=0.17,0.10,and 0.25,respectively).There were no statistically significant differences among the three groups,except in the identification of accelerations(Pa=0.89,95%CI:0.83,0.95;Pa=0.50,95%CI:0.41,0.60,and Pa=0.35,95%CI:0.25,0.43 in junior,medium and senior groups,respectively)and the prediction of neonatal acidemia(Pa=0.52,0.52,and 0.62 in junior,medium and senior groups,respectively),where agreement was highest and lowest in the junior-level group,respectively.The accuracy and sensitivity of the prediction for umbilical artery pH<7.1 were similar among the three groups,but the specificity was higher in the senior groups(93.68%vs.92.53%vs.98.85%in junior,medium and senior groups,P=0.015).Conclusion:Although we found a good inter-observer agreement in the evaluation of the most basic CTG features and FHR category statistically,it was insufficient to meet the clinical requirements for'no objection'interpretation for FHR tracings.Further specialized training is needed for standardized interpretation of intrapartum FHR tracings. | Zhuyu Li Yan Wang Jian Cai Peizhen Zhao Hanqing Chen Haiyan Liu Lixia Shen Lian Chen Shufang Li Yangyu Zhao Zilian Wang | 2022 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,2: | 0 |
