Memory materials and devices:From concept to application显示文摘Memory cells have always been an important element of information technology. With emerging technologies like big data and cloud computing, the scale and complexity of data storage has reached an unprecedented peak with a much higher requirement for memory technology. As is well known, better data storage is mostly achieved by miniaturization. However,as the size of the memory device is reduced,a series of problems, such as drain gate-induced leakage, greatly hinder the performance of memory units. To meet the increasing demands of information technology, novel and high-performance memory is urgently needed.Fortunately, emerging memory technologies are expected to improve memory performance and drive the information revolution. This review will focus on the progress of several emerging memory technologies, including two-dimensional material-based memories, resistance random access memory(RRAM),magnetic random access memory(MRAM),and phasechange random access memory(PCRAM).Advantages, mechanisms, and applications of these diverse memory technologies will be discussed in this review. | Zhenhan Zhang Zongwei Wang Tuo Shi Chong Bi Feng Rao Yimao Cai Qi Liu Huaqiang Wu Peng Zhou | 2020 | InfoMat2020,2,2: | 15
Analysis of Typical Automakers’ Strategies for Meeting the Dual-Credit Regulations Regarding CAFC and NEVs显示文摘The parallel corporate average fuel consumption(CAFC)and new energy vehicle(NEV)credit schemes that have been introduced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China is an innovative attempt to simultaneously regulate conventional gasoline vehicles(CGVs)and NEVs in the passenger vehicle sector that is expected to function as a long-term management mechanism for CGVs to be more energy-efficient and NEVs to be well-promoted.This will have a significant impact on trends in China’s automotive industry and automakers’business decisions.Taking the cases of four typical automakers with different levels of average fuel economy in their CGVs and advanced NEV production, scenario analysis has been applied to generate these automakers’alternatives in relation to compliance with the dual-credit regulations in force from 2017 to 2020 based on the Interim Measures on the Joint Management of CAFC and NEV Credits(Draft). These automakers’alternative approaches to compliance are compared.Further,in view of the financial losses as a result of halted production if they fail to comply, the values of CAFC and NEV credits and corresponding influencing factors are analyzed from the automakers’perspective. Finally, the most cost-effective compliance strategies for these automakers are summarized and suggested improvements in the regulations are proposed for the government. | Yue Wang Fuquan Zhao Yinshuo Yuan Han Hao Zongwei Liu | 2018 | Automotive Innovation2018,1,1: | 14

Epidemic transition of environmental health risk during China's urbanization显示文摘China has experienced rapid urbanization in recent decades along with dramatic economic growth.Previous studies have shown that urbanization has both positive and negative effects on health. However, there is a lack of research on the overall effects of urbanization on the epidemic transition of environmental health risks considering various pathways in China. In the present study, we studied the contributions of different aspects of urbanization in China to epidemic transitions using provincial and multi-year(1995, 2000, 2005, and 2010) panel data. Statistical models with fixed and random effects were developed to explore the impacts of different urbanization indicators on the overall epidemic transition of environmental health(general model) and the changes in cause-specific mortality rates of typical diseases(cause-specific models). The results show that the impacts of non-communicable diseases continue to grow during the urbanization process in China. The ratio of communicable disease-related mortality to non-communicable disease-related mortality continues to decrease over time. The general model shows that the improved medical conditions(coefficient = 0.0011, P = 0.037), the improved urban infrastructure(e.g., tap water supply)(coefficient = 0.00065, P < 0.001), and the rise in income(coefficient = 0.00027, P = 0.047) during the urbanization process are important factors that promote this overall epidemic transition. The cause-specific models show that the mechanisms behind the general model are complicated. More attention should be paid to non-communicable diseases in urban health management. Specific health policies for different diseases should incorporate the considerations of different impact pathways of urbanization. | Miaomiao Liu Xingyu Liu Yining Huang Zongwei Ma Jun Bi | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,2: | 9
Soil temperature and moisture sensitivities of soil CO_2 efflux before and after tillage in a wheat field of Loess Plateau,China显示文摘As a conventional farming practice, tillage has lasted for thousands of years in Loess Plateau,China.Although recent studies show that tillage is a prominent culprit to soil carbon loss in croplands, few studies have investigated the influences of tillage on the responses of soil CO2 efflux(SCE) to soil temperature and moisture.Using a multi-channel automated CO2 efflux chamber system,we measured SCE in situ continuously before and after the conventional tillage in a rain fed wheat field of Loess Plateau,China. The changes in soil temperature and moisture sensitivities of SCE,denoted by the Q10 value and linear regression slope respectively, were compared in the same range of soil temperature and moisture before and after the tillage. The results showed that, after the tillage,SCE increased by 1.2-2.2 times;the soil temperature sensitivity increased by 36.1%-37.5%;and the soil moisture sensitivity increased by 140%-166%.Thus,the tillage-induced increase in SCE might partially be attributed to the increases in temperature and moisture sensitivity of SCE. | Hongxing Zhang Xiaoke Wang Zongwei Feng Junzhu Pang Fei Lu Zhiyun Ouyang Hua Zheng Wenzhao Liu Dafeng Hui | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1: | 7
Underwater three-dimensional imaging using narrowband MIMO array显示文摘To obtain high cross-range resolution, the underwater 3-D acoustic imaging system usually requires a rectangular array with a great number of sensors and a large physical size. To reduce the sensor number and the array physical size simultaneously, this paper proposes a new underwater 3-D acoustic imaging approach based on a novel multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array. Specifically, the MIMO array is composed of four uniform linear arrays (ULAs) located on four sides of a rectangle. The transmitting array composed of two ULAs is located on a pair of opposite sides, and the receiving array composed of another two ULAs is located on the other two sides. Furthermore, narrowband waveforms coded with orthogonal polyphase sequences are employed as transmitting waveforms. When the subcode numbers in the polyphase coded sequences are sufficient, the MIMO array has the same 3-D imaging ability as a rectangular array, which has a two-time bigger size than that of the former. Consequently, the MIMO array can not only save a great number of sensors, but halve the array size, when compared to a rectangular array with the same cross-range resolution. Computer simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed imaging approach. | LIU XiongHou SUN Chao YI Feng LIU ZongWei LI MingYang | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,7: | 4
Toward Systemic Thinking in Managing Environmental Risks显示文摘1.Introduction The world today is strongly interconnected.Numerous interdependent and complex networks have been formed between environmental, economic, and social systems, through which people, resources, materials, goods, and information are exchanged at unprecedented speeds[1].At the same time, however, such networks are profoundly changing the global risk landscape and making the whole system more vulnerable[2].In particular, there is a growing concern about cascading and systemic risks. In such cases,a localized initial damaging event(e.g.,the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic)can spread rapidly and globally, resulting in disruptive influences and countless societal costs[3]. | Jun Bi Jianxun Yang Miaomiao Liu Zongwei Ma Wen Fang | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,11: | 4
Recent progress in ICF target fabrication at RCLF显示文摘Target is one of the essential parts in inertial confinement fusion(ICF)experiments. To ensure the symmetry and hydrodynamic stability in the implosion, there are stringent specifications for the target.Driven by the need to fabricate the target required by ICF experiments,a series of target fabrication techniques, including capsule fabrication techniques and the techniques of target characterization and assembly, are developed by the Research Center of Laser Fusion(RCLF),China Academy of Engineering Physics(CAEP).The capsule fabrication techniques for preparing polymer shells, glow discharge polymer(GDP)shells and hollow glass micro-sphere(HGM)are studied, and the techniques of target characterization and assembly are also investigated in this paper.Fundamental research about the target fabrication is also done to improve the quality of the target.Based on the development of target fabrication techniques, some kinds of target have been prepared and applied in the ICF experiments. | Kai Du Meifang Liu Tao Wang Xiaoshan He Zongwei Wang Juan Zhang | 2018 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2018,3,3: | 4
Biexciton Auger recombination in mono-dispersed, quantum-confined CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals obeys universal volume-scaling显示文摘Auger recombination has been a long?standing obstacle to many prospective applications of colloidal quantum dots (QDs) ranging from lasing, light-emitting diodes to bio-labeling. As such, understanding the physical underpinnings and scaling laws for Auger recombination is essential to these applications. Previous studies of biexciton Auger recombination in various QDs established a universal scaling of biexciton lifetime (rxx) with QD volume (V):τxx =γV. However, recent measurements on perovskite nanocrystals (NCs), an emerging class of enablers for light harvest!ng and emitting applications, showed significant deviations from this universal scaling law, likely because the measured NCs are weakly-confined and also have relatively broad size-distributions. Here we study biexciton Auger recombination in mono-dispersed (size distributions within 1.7%—9.0%), quantunvconfined CsPbBr3 NCs (with confinement energy up to 410 meV) synthesized using a latest approach based on thermodynamic equilibrium control. Our measurements clearly reproduce the volume-scaling of τxx in confined CsPbBb QDs. However, the scaling factor γ(0.085 ± 0.001 ps/nm^3) is one order of magnitude lower than that reported for CdSe and PbSe QDs (1.00 ± 0.05 ps/nm^3), suggest!ng unique mechanisms enhancing Auger recombination rate in perovskite NCs. | Yulu Li Tao Ding Xiao Luo Zongwei Chen Xue Liu Xin Lu Kaifeng Wu | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,3: | 4
Balancing the anionic framework polarity for enhanced thermoelectric performance in YbMg_(2)Sb_(2) Zintl compounds显示文摘1-2-2-type Zintl phase compound has aroused great interest for potential thermoelectric applications.However,YbMg_(2)Sb_(2) is seldom studied due to the very low electrical conductivity resulting from the large difference in the electronegativity between Mg and Sb.In this paper,we adjust the covalently bonded network of MgeSb by replacing part of the Mg with Zn which has the electronegativity closer to that of Sb.The decreased polarity in the anionic framework offers more free distance for electrons for the enhanced Hall mobility and electrical conductivity.Together with the increased point defect and the decreased lattice thermal conductivity by introduction of Zn,the maximum ZT value of ~0.8 at 773 K is achieved in YbMg_(0.9)Zn_(1.1)Sb_(2) which is~100% enhancement compared with that of YbMg_(2)Sb_(2). | Zongwei Zhang Xinyu Wang Yijie Liu Chen Chen Honghao Yao Li Yin Xiaofang Li Shan Li Fan Zhang Fengxian Bai Jiehe Sui Bo Yu Feng Cao Xingjun Liu Jun Mao Guoqiang Xie Qian Zhang | 2019 | Journal of Materiomics2019,5,4: | 3
Thermal expansion behavior of a β-LiAlSiO_4/Cu composite显示文摘A copper matrix composite reinforced by β-LiAlSiO4 with negative thermal expansion coefficient was fabricated using vacuum hot-pressed sintering technique. The thermal expansion behavior of the composite was investigated, and the average residual stress in the matrix was analyzed by a simple model. The results indicate that the residual stress in the matrix affects the thermal expansion properties. After heat treatment, the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the composite decreases greatly. The CTE of the composite after thermal cycling between 50-350°C is the lowest. | WANG Lidong XUE Zongwei LIU Zhe FEI Weidong | 2009 | Rare Metals2009,28,1: | 3
Observations and analysis of environment and acoustic field changed by the passage of typhoon Damrey in the Yellow Sea in 2012显示文摘In order to investigate the environment and acoustic filed change induced by typhoon in shallow sea, we conducted two experiments just before and after the passage of typhoon Damrey, which is the strongest to affect the area north of the Yangtze River since 1949, in the Yellow sea in 2012. The data show that the temperature of the whole water column increases dramatically except the sea surface layer after the passage of Damrey while the salinity decreases obviously. The thermocline deepens and weakens, which leads to a change of internal wave activity. The transmission losses(TL) of the two experiments show that the environment change induced by typhoon can increase the TL as large as 8 d B at a distance of 9.2 km and depth of 15 m. The scintillation index(SI) of the sound intensity is simulated to estimate the change of the effect of internal wave activity on acoustic field showing that the SI decreases to a half after the typhoon's passage. The normal mode structures of the two experiments are also significantly different due to the thermocline changes. In addition, the signal arrives earlier after the typhoon's passage due to the water temperature increase. | YANG GuangBing Lü LianGang YUAN YeLi JIANG Ying LIU ZongWei YANG ChunMei LIU HongNing CHEN Zhao | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,12: | 3

Phase Boundary Mapping in ZrNiSn Half-Heusler for Enhanced Thermoelectric Performance显示文摘The solubility range of interstitial Ni in the ZrNi1+xSn half-Heusler phase is a controversial issue, but it has an impact on the thermoelectric properties. In this study, two isothermal section phase diagrams of the Zr-Ni-Sn ternary system at 973K and 1173 K were experimentally constructed based on the binary phase diagrams of Zr-Ni,Zr-Sn,and Ni-Sn.The thermodynamic equilibrium phases were obtained after a long time of heating treatment on the raw alloys prepared by levitation melting.Solubilities of x<0:07 at 973 K and x<0:13 at 1173 K were clearly indicated. An intermediate-Heusler phase with a partly filled Ni void was observed, which is believed to be beneficial to the lowered lattice thermal conductivity. The highest ZT value~0:71 at 973 K was obtained for ZrNi_(1.11)Sn_(1.04).The phase boundary mapping provides an important instruction for the further optimization of ZrNiSn-based materials and other systems. | Xiaofang Li Pengbo Yang Yumei Wang Zongwei Zhang Dandan Qin Wenhua Xue Chen Chen Yifang Huang Xiaodong Xie Xinyu Wang Mujin Yang Cuiping Wang Feng Cao Jiehe Sui Xingjun Liu Qian Zhang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2

Potential Antiviral Target for SARS-CoV-2:A Key Early Responsive Kinase during Viral Entry显示文摘Currently, there is no effective antiviral medication for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and the knowledge on the potential therapeutic target is in great need.Guided by a time-course transmission electron microscope(TEM)imaging,we analyzed early phosphorylation dynamics within the first 15 min during severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)viral entry.Based on alterations in the phosphorylation events,we found that kinase activities such as protein kinase C(PKC),interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4(IRAK4),MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 3(MARK3),and TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1)were affected within 15 min of infection.Application of the corresponding kinase inhibitors of PKC,IRAK4,and p38 showed significant inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 replication.Additionally, proinflammatory cytokine production was reduced by applying PKC and p38 inhibitors.By an acquisition of a combined image data using positiveand negative-sense RNA probes,as well as pseudovirus entry assay,we demonstrated that PKC contributed to viral entry into the host cell, and therefore, could be a potential COVID-19 therapeutic target. | Siwen Liu Lin Zhu Guangshan Xie Bobo Wing-Yee Mok Zhu Yang Shaofeng Deng Siu-Ying Lau Pin Chen Pui Wang Honglin Chen Zongwei Cai | 2022 | CCS Chemistry2022,4,1: | 1
