1台风Wayne过后南海北部陆架海域的近惯性振荡显示文摘1986年8月18日8616号台风维纳(Wayne)在南海中部生成,其后在南海北部迂回盘旋,前后3次穿越巴士海峡,9月4日在海南岛登陆。布放在海南岛东部陆架上的锚系浮标记录了台风中心过境前后风和近表层的海流响应。分析结果表明,台风中心过境造成海水强烈的近惯性运动,其影响大约持续了6—8d,近惯性振荡的频率为0.029 2周.h-1(周期约34.2h),高出当地的惯性振荡频率(0.028cph)4.3%。带通滤波所提取的惯性运动特征显示,台风过境后惯性振荡逐渐衰减,惯性圆逐渐向西南方向偏移。根据这一个例,探讨了台风条件下近表层流速与风速的关系以及台风尾迹中近惯性流流速衰减过程的经验描述,可为近海海洋工程设计提供参考。朱大勇 李立 2007热带海洋学报2007,26,4:16
2Upper ocean near-inertial response to 1998 Typhoon Faith in the South China Sea显示文摘During the South China Sea monsoon experiment (SCSMEX),three autonomous temperature line acquisition system (ATLAS) buoys with acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) were moored in the South China Sea to measure temperature,salinity and current velocity.Typhoon Faith passed through about 250 km south to one of the mooring buoys located at 12 58.5 N,114 24.5 E from December 11 to 14,1998.The data analysis indicates that the typhoon winds induce a great increase in the kinetic energy at near-inertial frequencies with two maxima in the mixed layer and thermocline.The near-inertial oscillations were observed at the upper 270 m in the wake of Typhoon Faith.The oscillations were originally excited in the sea surface layer and propagated downward.The amplitudes of the oscillations decrease with depth except in the thermocline.The near-inertial oscillation signals are also remarkable in temperature and salinity fields.SUN Lu ZHENG Quan'an TANG Tswen-Yung CHUANG Wen-Ssn LI Li HU Jianyu WANG Dongxiao 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:15
3Near-inertial waves in the wake of 2011 Typhoon Nesat in the northern South China Sea显示文摘In September 2011, Typhoon Nesat passed over a moored array of instruments recording current and temperature in the northern South China Sea(SCS). A wake of baroclinic near-inertial waves(NIWs) commenced after Nesat passed the array. The associated near-inertial currents are surface-intensified and clockwise-polarized. The vertical range of NIWs reached 300 m, where the vertical range is defined as the maximum depth of the horizontal near-inertial velocity 5 cm/s. The current oscillations have a frequency of 0.709 9 cycles per day(cpd), which is 0.025 f higher than the local inertial frequency. The NIWs have an e-folding time-scale of 10 d based on the evolution of the near-inertial kinetic energy. The depth-leading phase of near-inertial currents indicates downward group velocity and energy flux. The estimated vertical phase velocity and group velocity are 0.27 and 0.08 cm/s respectively, corresponding to a vertical wavelength of 329 m. A spectral analysis reveals that NIWs act as a crucial process to redistribute the energy injected by Typhoon Nesat. A normal mode and an empirical orthogonal function analysis indicate that the second mode has a dominant variance contribution of 81%, and the corresponding horizontal phase velocity and wavelength are 3.50 m/s and 420 km respectively. The remarkable large horizontal phase velocity is relevant to the rotation of the earth, and a quantitative analysis suggests that the phase velocity of the NIWs with a blue-shift of 0.025 f overwhelms that of internal gravity waves by a factor of 4.6.YANG Bing HOU Yijun 2014Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,11:14

5南海西北部上层海洋对台风“杜苏芮”的响应分析显示文摘基于锚碇观测资料,本文分析了南海西北部陆坡区上层海洋对台风“杜苏芮”的动力学和热力学响应特征。在动力学响应方面,台风“杜苏芮”期间上层流速显著增强,混合层纬向流速可达1.20m/s;“杜苏芮”经过后上层海水运动以近惯性振荡为主(流向顺时针旋转周期在36~40h之间)。近惯性能量在垂向分布上存在两个高值中心,分别位于混合层和温跃层深度上。近惯性能量耗散过程的e折时间尺度约为3.7d,我们认为能量的向下传播在局地近惯性能量衰减过程中起主要作用。对能量谱的分析表明,“杜苏芮”作用期间近惯性频率能量相对于其作用前增大了约29.4倍,而全日和半日频率(K1和M2)能量有所减弱。此外,能量谱显示近惯性频率存在明显的“蓝移”现象,即对于纬向和经向流速分量在400m以浅平均的近惯性振荡频率分别为1.167f0和1.170f0(f0为局地惯性频率)。蓝移与近惯性内波的向下传播及正的相对涡度的输入有关。在热力学响应方面,上层海洋在台风的搅拌作用下,40~250m深度均出现较小增温,最大增温幅度接近1℃;此外70m以浅盐度的降低可能与台风过境时的降水相关,而Ekman抽吸引起的上升流则可能对70~100m深度盐度的升高具有重要作用。张骞 廖光洪 蔺飞龙 金魏芳 梁楚进 2019海洋学报2019,41,7:9
6EMD与分形相结合的遥感影像水体信息提取方法显示文摘提出一种基于经验模态分解(empirical mode decomposition,EMD)和分形理论相结合的遥感影像水体信息提取方法,该方法尝试结合影像的光谱特征和纹理特征以提高分类提取精度。对影像进行主成分分析得到有效信息量最大的第一主分量,计算每个像元的分维数得到分维图,同时将第一主分量EMD分解得到有效信息量较大的前3个经验模态函数,再结合原有的波段信息作为研究数据,利用极大似然法分类器提取水体信息。该方法充分结合了EMD在降噪和区分相似光谱特征中的优势和分形理论在纹理信息提取中的优势。研究表明,该方法可有效提高水体信息的提取精度,Kappa最高到0.932 5。周林滔 杨国范 赵福强 杜娟 2014国土资源遥感2014,26,4:7
7基于Argo资料的西北太平洋海表面盐度对台风的响应特征分析显示文摘基于1996—2012年西北太平洋Argo剖面浮标盐度观测资料,利用合成分析方法研究了海表面盐度对台风的响应特征。结果表明海表面盐度对台风的响应具有明显的非对称性:台风过后其路径右侧的海表面盐度显著上升;左侧的则在R50内上升,R50外区域普遍下降。进一步分析显示台风强度、移动速度和海洋混合层深度对海表面盐度响应特征均有较大影响。强度大或移动缓慢的台风能造成大范围的海表面盐度上升;强度小或移动快速的台风只在路径右侧造成海表面盐度上升,左侧的则普遍下降。夏季(6-9月)台风过后,海表面盐度在混合层浅的区域普遍大幅上升,在混合层深的区域则在台风路径左右两侧2R50范围内小幅上升,在远离台风路径左侧区域下降。吴铃蔚 凌征 2015海洋学研究2015,33,3:7
8Features of near-inertial motions observed on the northern South China Sea shelf during the passage of two typhoons显示文摘Features of near-inertial motions on the shelf(60 m deep) of the northern South China Sea were observed under the passage of two typhoons during the summer of 2009. There are two peaks in spectra at both sub-inertial and super-inertial frequencies. The super-inertial energy maximizes near the surface, while the sub-inertial energy maximizes at a deeper layer of 15 m. The sub-inertial shift of frequency is induced by the negative background vorticity. The super-inertial shift is probably attributed to the near-inertial wave propagating from higher latitudes. The near-inertial currents exhibit a two-layer pattern being separated at mid-depth(25–30 m), with the phase in the upper layer being nearly opposite to that in the lower layer. The vertical propagation of phase implies that the near-inertial energy is not dominantly downward. The upward flux of the near-inertial energy is more evident at the surface layer(<17 m). There exist two boundaries at 17 and 40 m, where the near-inertial energy is reflected upward and downward. The near-inertial motion is intermittent and can reach a peak of as much as 30 cm/s. The passage of Typhoon Nangka generates an intensive near-inertial event, but Typhoon Linfa does not. 9粤东沿岸上升流对2006年夏季台风响应显示文摘通过在粤东沿岸进行的大面走航CTD观测,特别是座底式的海床基测流资料,比较详细的探讨了台风过境对粤东沿岸上升流系统的影响.研究结果表明:南海夏季风驱动的东北向地转流在汕头附近存在显著的近海底向岸分量,与上层的离岸埃克曼平流共同构成了粤东近岸的典型上升流系统.进一步的分析表明粤东沿岸上升流系统对台风强度及其入侵路径比较敏感.当台风入侵路径位于上升流系统以北时(如0604号台风碧利斯和0605号台风凯米),在台风过境初期,局地西南风的异常增大使得向岸流显著增强,即上升流增强;在台风过境期及后期,无论是由于局地风场过强导致的海洋受迫响应(0604号台风碧利斯),还是中度台风诱发的惯性振荡(0605号台风凯米),都不利于维持一个稳定的、持续的上升流系统.当台风从上升流系统以南入侵时(如0606号台风派比安),有利于上升流产生的西南风被东北风取代,风驱向岸的埃克曼平流效应以及质量守恒使得海洋中、下层为离岸流,上层为向岸流,粤东沿岸传统的上升流结构遭到彻底颠覆;当台风过境后,典型的上升流结构会在1~2d内回复.潘爱军 郭小钢 许金电 黄奖 万小芳 2011中国科学:地球科学2011,41,10:6
10Tropical storm-forced near-inertial energy dissipation in the southeast continental shelf region of Hainan Island显示文摘Near-inertial motion is an important dynamic process in the upper ocean and plays a significant role in mass, heat, and energy transport across the thermocline. In this study, the dissipation of wind-induced near-inertial energy in the thermocline is investigated by using observation data collected in July and August 2005 during the tropical storm Washi by a moored system at(19°35′N, 112°E) in the continental shelf region off Hainan Island. In the observation period, the near-inertial part dominated the observed ocean kinetic energy and about 80% of the near-inertial energy dissipated in the upper layer. Extremely strong turbulent mixing induced by near-inertial wave was observed in the thermocline, where the turbulent energy dissipation rate increased by two orders of magnitude above the background level. It is found that the energy loss of near-inertial waves in the thermocline is mainly in the large-scales. 11Responses of Guangdong coastal upwelling to the summertime typhoons of 2006显示文摘The effects of typhoon intrusion on the Guangdong coastal upwelling system were investigated on the basis of in situ CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) cruise observations and especially upward-looking ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profil- ers) measurements obtained from a comprehensive survey of the Guangdong coastal region carried out by the Chinese Off-shore Investigation and Assessment Project in the summer of 2006. It was found that northeastward geostrophic advection driven by the summer monsoon has a significant near-seabed onshore component adjacent to Shantou, which in conjunction with upper-level offshore Ekman flow, constitutes the canonical Guangdong coastal upwelling system. Further analyses suggested that the Guangdong coastal upwelling system is sensitive to subtle changes in the typhoon intensity and migration pathway. On one hand, as a typhoon approaches from north of the upwelling system (e.g. Typhoon 0604 (Bilis) and Typhoon 0605 (Kaemi)) in the early phase of intrusion, the enhanced southwesterly leads to exceptional enhancement of the onshore flow; i.e., enhanced upwelling. Afterward, irrespective of the forced ocean responses resulting from the stronger local winds (Typhoon 0604) or the moderate typhoon-induced inertial oscillations (Typhoon 0605), the situation is not conducive to sustaining a stable, persistent upwelling system. On the other hand, when there is typhoon intrusion south of the upwelling system (e.g. Typhoon 0606 (Prapiroon)), the favorable southwesterly tends to be substituted by an anomalous northeasterly, which destroys the traditional coastal upwelling pattern. 13Observed near-inertial waves in the wake of Typhoon Hagupit in the northern South China Sea显示文摘Energetic near-inertial internal waves(NIWs) were observed on the continental slope of the northern South China Sea in September 2008. Characteristics of the observed near-inertial waves were examined based on current data recorded by a moored acoustic Doppler current profiler. Results of a simple slab model indicated that the NIWs were generated by the surface winds of Typhoon Hagupit. Following Hagupit's passage,the wave field was dominated by baroclinic NIWs. The near-inertial currents were surface-intensified with a maximum of 0.52 m/s but still reached 0.1 m/s at the depth of 210 m. Moreover,the near-inertial currents were clockwise-polarized and slightly elliptical. A depth-leading phase of the nearinertial currents was evident,which indicated downward energy propagation. However,the rotary vertical wavenumber spectra suggested that upward energy propagation also existed,which was consistent previous theoretical study. The frequency of the NIWs,modified by the positive background vorticity,was 0.714 2 cycles per day,which was 0.02 f 0 higher than the local inertial frequency(f 0). The near-inertial kinetic energy evolved exponentially and had an e-folding timescale of about 3 days. The vertical phase and group velocity were estimated to be 10 and 2.1 m/h,respectively,corresponding to a vertical wavelength of 340 m. 14Ocean temperature responses to Typhoon Mstsa in the East China Sea显示文摘The MASNUM wave-tide-circulation coupled model,with 21 layers in the vertical and(1/8)°horizontal resolution,was employed to investigate the oceanic responses to Typhoon Mstsa which traversed the East China Sea(ECS)during the period of 4~6 August,2005.Numerical experiment results are analyzed and compared with observation.The responses of the sea surface temperature(SST),in a focused area of(27°~29°N,121°~124°E),include heating and cooling stages.The heating is mainly due to warm Kuroshio water transportation and downwelling due to the water accumulation.In the cooling stage,the amplitude of the simulated cold wake(~3℃),located on the right side of this typhoon track,is compared quite well with that of the satellite observed SST data.The wave-induced mixing(Bv)plays a key role for the SST cooling.Bv still plays a leading role,which accounts for 36%,for the ocean temperature drop in the upper ocean of 0~40 m,while the upwelling is responsible for 84% of the cooling for the lower layer of 40~70 m.The mixed layer depth(MLD)increased quickly from 28 to 50 m in the typhoon period.However,the simulated MLD without the wave-induced vertical mixing,evolution from 13 to 32 m,was seriously underestimated.The surface wave is too important to be ignored for the ocean responses to a typhoon.WANG Guansuo QIAO Fangli 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,4:3
15Comparison of typhoon-induced near-inertial oscillations in shear flow in the northern South China Sea显示文摘With moorings equipped with Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers(ADCP) in the northern South China Sea(SCS)in 2008 and 2009, we observed three near-inertial oscillation(NIO) events coded 2008 a, 2009 a and 2009 b induced by passages of typhoons or tropical storms. This study compares characteristics of the three NIO events. Event2008 a was the strongest one among the three, and had the longest sustaining period(15 d), while events 2009 a and 2009 b sustained for only 4 and 8 d, respectively. The three events were distinguished by vertical energy distribution and phase propagation. As for the frequency shift of the NIO, event 2008 a had a peak frequency lower than the local Coriolis frequency(red-shift), while events 2009 a and 2009 b showed blue-shift. The behavior of individual NIO event is jointly decided by the typhoon disturbance and the background ocean condition.Especially the background flow plays an important role by effects of advection and modulation. The results in this study provide observational evidence of variational NIO response to background flow field. As indicated by the distribution of vorticity and effective Coriolis frequency derived from numerical modeling, the large amplitude and elongated sustaining period of event 2008 a were attributed to the waveguide effect of the background shear flow. This effect redistributed the NIO energy after the typhoon passage, absorbed incident waves and trapped energy in the area of the negative vorticity. 16吕宋海峡上层海洋对于台风南玛都响应的观测分析与数值模拟试验显示文摘利用海洋模式POM模拟了吕宋海峡上层海洋对历经其上的2011年8月1111号台风南玛都的响应过程。基于2个方面进行了模拟实验,其一是吕宋海峡上层海洋对固定大小及位置的台风风场响应;其二是吕宋海峡上层海洋对台风南玛都移动期间的响应。并分析了台风南玛都的风场和海洋响应南玛都的表层流场、SST及SSS。研究结果表明:(1)吕宋海峡上层海洋对台风风场结构不对称的响应表现出吕宋海峡上层海洋右侧的流速要远大于左侧,海流和台风一样具有右偏特征。海洋表面温度(SST)下降2-7℃,下降的空间范围直径在百公里,表现为右强左弱的不对称性。(2)上层海洋对驻台风的响应过程中,海洋流场及SST达到能量的极值后,会触发1个反气旋流场控制吕宋海峡,SST经过约10d时间恢复到初始态。(3)上层海洋对台风移动过程的响应表现为1个随台风移动的海洋流场,海流的强度和SST下降的幅度都较小,海流气旋式结构沿着路径有一定的拉伸,并且在路径后方出现尾流。陈昌吉 李子良 2014中国海洋大学学报(自然科学版)2014,44,9:3
17Unusual coastal ocean cooling in the northern South China Sea by a katabatic cold jet associated with Typhoon Mujigea(2015)显示文摘This study deals with a unusual cooling event after Typhoon Mujigea passed over the northern South China Sea(SCS) in October 2015. We analyze the satellite sea surface temperature(SST) time series from October 3 to 18,2015 and find that the cooling process in the coastal ocean had two different stages. The first stage occurred immediately after typhoon passage on October 3, and reached a maximum SST drop of –2℃ on October 7 as the usual cold wake after typhoon. The second stage or the unusual extended cooling event occurred after 7d of the typhoon passage, and lasted for 5d from October 10 to 15. The maximum SST cooling was –4℃ and occurred after 12d of typhoon passage. The mechanism analysis results indicate that after landing and moving northwestward to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau(YGP), Typhoon Mujigea(2015) met the westerly wind front on October 5. The lowpressure and positive-vorticity disturbances to the front triggered meridional air flow and low-pressure trough,thus induced a katabatic cold jet downward from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP) passing through the YGP to the northwestern SCS. The second cooling reached the maximum SST drop 4d later after the maximum air temperature drop of –9℃ on October 11. 18Response of Internal Waves to 2005 Typhoon Damrey over the Northwestern Shelf of the South China Sea显示文摘Continuous observation of sea water temperature and current was made at Wenchang Station(19°35′N,112°E) in 2005. The data collected indicate vigorous internal waves of both short periods and tidal and near-inertial periods. The temperature and current time series during 18-30 September were examined to describe the upper ocean internal wave field response to Typhoon Damrey(0518) . The strong wind associated with the typhoon,which passed over the sea area about 45 km south of Wenchang Station on 25 September,deepened the mixed layer depth remarkably. It decreased the mixed layer temperature while increasing the deep layer temperature,and intensified the near-inertial and high-frequency fluctuations of temperature and current. Power spectra of temperature and current time series indicate significant deviations from those obtained by using the deep ocean internal wave models characterized by a power law. The frequency spectra were dominated by three energetic bands:around the inertial frequency(7.75× 10-6 Hz) ,tidal frequencies(1.0×10-5 to 2.4×10-5 Hz) ,and between 1.4×10-4 and 8.3×10-4 Hz. Dividing the field data into three phases(before,during and after the typhoon) ,we found that the typhoon enhanced the kinetic energy in nearly all the frequency bands,especially in the surface water. The passage of Damrey made a major contribution to the horizontal kinetic energy of the total surface current variances. 19南海冬季风潮背景下热带气旋诱导的近惯性振荡:Mirinae(0921)个例分析显示文摘南海是热带气旋多发的海域,热带气旋过境在海洋上层激发的近惯性振荡近年来备受关注。文章利用一个位于南海西北部的锚定声学多普勒流速剖面仪(ADCP),检测到了热带气旋Mirinae由东向西横穿南海时在锚定点产生的显著的近惯性振荡。与以往研究热带气旋激发显著近惯性振荡的文献相较,Mirinae强度较低,移动速度较快,距离观测点较远。对ADCP所测流速进行旋转小波分析后的结果显示,处于这种条件下的Mirinae也在观测点激发了显著的近惯性振荡。研究发现,Mirinae自东向西横穿南海时,正处于南海冬季风盛行的时期,Mirinae北部旋臂与该盛行的东北季风方向一致,二者相融,东北季风强度增大,方向发生变化,间接使得主要在其控制下的观测点上方的风场在大小和方向上产生了突变,而且风速矢量随着时间也呈顺时针偏转,从而在锚定点产生显著的近惯性振荡。平板模式的结果支持这一观点。万云娇 陈更新 舒业强 王强 陈荣裕 王东晓 2015热带海洋学报2015,34,6:1
20A possible generation mechanism of the strong current over the northwestern shelf of the South China Sea显示文摘Continuous observation in late April 2005 on the northwestern shelf of the South China Sea reveals vigorous strong currents,the maximum velocity of which exceeds 3.8 m/s.The strong currents occurred around spring tide period,when the internal tide waves were also expected to be vigorous.Analysis shows that the major peaks of the current power spectrum are in low frequency band.Using a numerical method applied to the actual ocean stratification,we find that the amplitude profiles of the strong current are similar to that of the currents induced by some low-mode internal waves (at diurnal or semi-diurnal frequency).It indicates that the temporal and spatial features of strong currents were possibly induced by low frequency internal waves.WANG Gang QIAO Fangli DAI Dejun HOU Yijun 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,3:0
