Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA) for Future Downlink Radio Access of 5G显示文摘Multiple access(MA) technology is of most importance for 5G. Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) utilizing power domain and advanced receiver has been considered as a promising candidate MA technology recently. In this paper, the NOMA concept is presented toward future enhancements of spectrum efficiency in lower frequency bands for downlink of 5G system. Key component technologies of NOMA are presented and discussed including multiuser transmission power allocation, scheduling algorithm, receiver design and combination of NOMA with multi-antenna technology. The performance gains of NOMA are evaluated by system-level simulations with very practical assumptions. Under multiple configurations and setups, the achievable system-level gains of NOMA are shown promising even when practical considerations were taken into account. | LI Anxin LAN Yang CHEN Xiaohang JIANG Huiling | 2015 | China Communications2015,12,S1: | 12
Clopidogrel with aspirin in High- risk patients with Acute Non- disabling Cerebrovascular Events II (CHANCE-2): rationale and design of a multicentre randomised trial显示文摘Background In patients with a minor ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack(TIA),separate trials have shown that dual antiplatelet therapy with clopidogrel plus aspirin(clopidogrel-aspirin)or ticagrelor plus aspirin(ticagrelor-aspirin)are more effective than aspirin alone in stroke secondary prevention. However, these two sets of combination have not been directly compared.Since clopidogrel was less effective in stroke patients who were CYP2C19 loss-of function(LOF)allele carriers, whether ticagrelor-aspirin is clinically superior to clopidogrel-aspirin in this subgroup of patients with stroke is unclear.Aim To describe the rationale and design considerations of the Clopidogrel in High-risk patients with Acute Non-disabling Cerebrovascular Events(CHANCE-2)trial.Design CHANCE-2 is a randomised,double-blind,double-dummy,placebo-controlled,multicentre trial that compares two dual antiplatelet strategies for minor stroke or TIA patients who are CYP2C19 LOF allele carriers:ticagrelor(180 mg loading dose on day 1 followed by 90 mg twice daily on days 2-90)or clopidogrel(300 mg loading dose on day 1 followed by 75 mg daily on days 2-90),plus open-label aspirin with a dose of 75-300 mg on day 1 followed by 75 mg daily on day 2-21.All will be followed for 1 year.Study outcomes The primary efficacy outcome is any stroke(ischaemic or haemorrhagic)within 3 months and the primary safety outcome is any severe or moderate bleeding event within 3 months.Discussion The CHANCE-2 trial will evaluate whether ticagrelor-aspirin is superior to clopidogrel-aspirin for minor stroke or TIA patients who are CYP2C19 LOF allele carriers. | Yongjun Wang Claiborne Johnston Philip M Bath Xia Meng Jing Jing Xuewei Xie Anxin Wang Yuesong Pan Anding Xu Qiang Dong Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Zixiao Li Hao Li | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 10
Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China, but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood. We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform. The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual. The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient. All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases. Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years, and 31.4%patients were women. Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced. Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke. | Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 8
Dual antiplatelet therapy may increase the risk of non-intracranial haemorrhage in patients with minor strokes: a subgroup analysis of the CHANCE trial显示文摘Aim:The aim of this study was to explore the difference between haemorrhagic events among those patients on either aspirin or aspirin plus clopidogrel who were enrolled in the Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients with Acute Non-disabling Ischemic Cerebrovascular Events(CHANCE)trial. Methods:This was an ad hoc analysis of the CHANCE trial;data on all patients with any haemorrhagic event were reviewed and analysed.Cox proportional hazards regression was used to determine factors association with any bleeding. Results:In the CHANCE trial, there were a total of 101(2%)haemorrhagic events reported from 50 different hospitals. The clopidogrel–aspirin group had 60(2.3%)cases and the aspirin group had 41(1.6%,p=0.09).Moderate or severe haemorrhagic events occurred in 7 patients(0.3%)in the clopidogrel–aspirin group and in 8(0.3%)in the aspirin group(p=0.73).Of 36(0.7%)cases of intracranial haemorrhages,20(0.4%)were in the clopidogrel–aspirin group and 16(0.3%)in the aspirin group. Each group had 8(0.3%)cases of symptomatic haemorrhagic strokes.Other common haemorrhagic events included 24(0.5%)cases of skin bruises,13(0.3%)gastrointestinal haemorrhages,9(0.2%)gum haemorrhages and 8(0.2%)intraocular haemorrhages. Conclusions:There was no overall significant difference in haemorrhagic events(p=0.29),especially in the rate of intracranial haemorrhages between the 2 treatment groups. However, patients enrolled with minor strokes had an increased risk of haemorrhagic events regardless of treatment group, not seen in patients with high-risk transient ischaemic attacks.Being elderly,of male gender and with a history of aspirin or proton pump inhibitor usage were associated with increased risk of haemorrhage.Patients with higher body mass index had lower risk of haemorrhagic events. | David Wang Li Gui Yi Dong Hao Li Shujuan Li Huaguang Zheng Anxin Wang Xia Meng Li-Ping Liu Yi-Long Wang Guangyao Wang Jing Jing Zixiao Li Xing-Quan Zhao Yong-Jun Wang on behalf of the investigators for the CHANCE trial | 2016 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2016,1,2: | 8
Analytical validation of GMEX rapid point- of care CYP2C19 genotyping system for the CHANCE-2 trial显示文摘Background and purpose Rapid genotyping is useful for guiding early antiplatelet therapy in patients with high-risk nondisabling ischaemic cerebrovascular events(HR-NICE).Conventional genetic testing methods used in CYP2C19 genotype-guided antiplatelet therapy for patients with HR-NICE did not satisfy the needs of the Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients with Acute Nondisabling Cerebrovascular Events(CHANCE)-2 trial. Therefore,we developed the rapid-genotyping GMEX(point-of care)system to meet the needs of the CHANCE-2 trial. Methods Healthy individuals and patients with history of cardiovascular diseases(n=408)were enrolled from six centres of the CHANCE-2 trial. We compared the laboratory-based genomic test results with Sanger sequencing test results for accuracy verification.Next,we demonstrated the accuracy, timeliness and clinical operability of the GMEX system compared with laboratory-based technology(YZY Kit)to verify whether the GMEX system satisfies the needs of the CHANCE-2 trial. Results Genotypes reported by the GMEX system showed 100%agreement with those determined by using the YZY Kit and Sanger sequencing for all three CYP2C19 alleles(*2,*3 and*17)tested.The average result’s turnaround times for the GMEX and YZY Kit methods were 85.0(IQR:85.0-86.0)and 1630.0(IQR:354.0-7594.0)min(p<0.001),respectively.Conclusions Our data suggest that the GMEX system is a reliable and feasible point-of care system for rapid CYP2C19 genotyping for the CHANCE-2 trial or related clinical and research applications. | Xia Meng Anxin Wang Guojun Zhang Siying Niu Wei Li Sifei Han Fang Fang Xingquan Zhao Kehui Dong Zening Jin Huaguang Zheng Kelin Chen Hao Li Chengyuan Yang Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 7
Low serum albumin levels predict poor outcome in patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack显示文摘Background To examine the relationship of serum albumin with poor functional outcome and mortality in patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA),and perform a meta-analysis to summarise the association. Methods We analysed data from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-Ⅲ).Patients were divided into four groups based on serum albumin levels at admission. The outcomes included poor functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score of 3 to 6)and mortality at 3 months and 1 year.Multiple logistic regression models and Cox regression models were used to evaluate the association, respectively. We used a fixed-effect model to calculate the risk ratio for poor functional outcome and a random-effect model for mortality in the meta-analysis.Results A total of 13618 patients were enrolled.During the 3-month follow-up period, compared with 40 to 44.9 g/L group, patients in<35 g/L group had an increased risk of poor functional outcome and mortality(adjusted OR 1.37(95%CI 1.12 to 1.67);adjusted HR 2.13(95%CI 1.41 to 3.23)).The relationship in per 10 g/L decreased serum albumin with prognosis was consistently inversed(adjusted OR 1.17(95%CI 1.01 to 1.35);adjusted HR 1.86(95%CI 1.30 to 2.64)).Also,low serum albumin levels were independently correlated with clinical outcomes at 1 year.In the meta-analysis,the OR for poor functional outcome pooled 3 studies per 1 g/L decrease was 1.03(95%CI 1.02 to 1.05),and the HR for mortality pooled 5 studies was 1.07(95%CI 1.03 to 1.11).Conclusions Low serum albumin levels predict poor functional outcome and mortality in patients with AIS or TIA. | Hongyu Zhou Anxin Wang Xia Meng Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Jing Jing Yingting Zuo Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 7
Different contribution of SBP and DBP variability to vascular events in patients with stroke显示文摘Background High blood pressure variability(BPV)is a novel risk factor for cardiovascular disease. However, the heterogeneity of systolic blood pressure variability(SBPV)and diastolic blood pressure variability(DBPV)for different vascular events remains unclear. This study aims to investigate whether SBPV or DBPV has different contribution to vascular events in patients with acute ischaemic stroke(IS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA).Methods Data from the BOSS(blood pressure and clinical outcome in TIA or IS)study were examined for vascular events at 3-month and 1-year follow-up.BPV was defined as the SD and coefficient of variation(CV)of day-to day measurements within 3 months after IS/TIA.Vascular events include cardiovascular events(myocardial infarction, unstable angina, cardiac death and congestive heart failure)and cerebrovascular events(ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke).Logistic regression model was used to test the associations between BPV and vascular events.results Of 2325 patients with IS or TIA,103(4.43%)experienced a recurrent stroke and 64(2.75%)had cardiovascular events within 3 months.Day-to day SBPV was only associated with stroke recurrence(BPVSD:OR,1.72,95%CI 1.09 to 2.71;BPVCV:1.86,95%CI 1.19 to 2.92),but not cardiovascular events(BPVSD:1.67,95%CI 0.94 to 2.94;BPVCV:1.51,95%CI 0.86 to 2.64).However,DBPV seems to be related to both stroke(BPVSD:1.60,95%CI 1.02 to 2.49;BPVCV:1.53,95%CI 0.99 to 2.37)and cardiovascular events(BPVSD:2.48,95%CI 1.37 to 4.48;BPVCV:1.92,95%CI 1.09 to 3.36).Similar results were found at 1 year. Conclusions For patients with IS/TIA,stroke recurrence was associated with both SBPV and DBPV;however, cardiovascular events seem to be only related to DBPV. | Liye Dai Aichun Cheng Xiwa Hao Jie Xu Yingting Zuo Anxin Wang Xia Meng Hao Li Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Yongjun Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 6
The efficacy and safety of nimodipine in acute ischemic stroke patients with mild cognitive impairment: a double-blind, randomized,placebo-controlled trial显示文摘Nimodipine might be effective in subcortical vascular dementia(VaD). Its benefit in preventing further cognitive decline in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS) and vascular mild cognitive impairment(VaMCI) remains to be established. In this multicenter, double-blind trial, we randomly assigned 654 eligible patients to nimodipine 30 mg three times a day or placebo. The primary outcome was any cognitive decline defined by the changes on the Mini-Mental State Examination(DMMSE à3) or vascular AD assessment scale cognitive subscale(DADAS-cog ! 4) at 6 months. Secondary outcomes included any distribution shift of DADAS-cog, DMMSE or cognitive improvement defined by DADAS-cog à2, or DMMSE ! 0. The primary outcome in the nimodipine group and placebo group were similar for DMMSE à3(4.18% and 7.22%, respectively, P = 0.15) and DADAS-cog ! 4(8.36% and 8.93% respectively,P = 0.88). The distribution shift of DADAS-cog and DMMSE differed significantly between the two groups(P = 0.03 and P = 0.05 respectively). Cognitive improvement occurred in 55.4% in the nimodipine group and 43.6% in the placebo group measured by DADAS-cog à2(Odds Ratio, 1.54; 95% confidence interval[CI] 1.10–2.14, P < 0.01) or 84.0% and 74.6% respectively by DMMSE ! 0(Odds Ratio, 1.79; 95% CI 1.18–2.70, P < 0.01). Nimodipine was associated with better cognitive function in the memory domain. The adverse events rate was similar in two groups. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT01220622. Nimodipine did not show benefit to prevent cognitive decline in AIS patients with VaMCI, but improved cognition moderately, especially measured in the memory domain. | Huaguang Zheng Yilong Wang Anxin Wang Hao Li David Wang Xingquan Zhao Penglian Wang Haipeng Shen Lijun Zuo Yuesong Pan Zixiao Li Xia Meng Xianwei Wang Weixiong Shi Yi Ju Liping Liu Kehui Dong Chunxue Wang Rubo Sui Rong Xue Xiaoping Pan Xiaoyua Niu Benyan Luo Yi Sui Huali Wang Tao Feng Yongjun Wang | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,2: | 5
Ambulatory blood pressure profile and stroke recurrence显示文摘Objectives To establish a new ambulatory blood pressure(ABP)parameter(24-hour ABP profile)and evaluated its performance on stroke outcome in ischaemic stroke(IS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA)patients. Methods The prospective cohort consisted of 1996 IS/TIA patients enrolled for ABP monitoring and a 3-month follow-up for stroke recurrence as outcome.Profile groups of systolic blood pressure(SBP)were identified via an advanced functional clustering method, and the associations of the profile groups and conventional ABP parameters with stroke recurrence were examined in a Cox proportional hazards model. Results Three discrete profile groups(n=604,781 and 611 in profiles 1,2 and 3,respectively)in 24-hour ambulatory SBP were identified.Profile 1 resembled most to the normal diurnal blood pressure pattern;profile 2 also dropped at night, but climbed earlier and with higher morning surge;while profile 3 had sustained higher nocturnal SBP without significant nocturnal SBP decline. The incidence of stroke recurrence was 2.9%,3.9%and 5.5%in profiles 1,2 and 3,respectively.After adjustment for covariates, profile 3 was significantly associated with higher risk of stroke recurrence with profile 1 as reference(HR 1.76,95%CI:1.00 to 3.09),while no significant difference was observed between profiles 2 and 1(HR 1.22,95%CI:0.66 to 2.25).None of conventional ABP parameters showed significant associations with the outcome. Conclusions Ambulatory 24-hour SBP profile is associated with short-term stroke recurrence.Profiles of ABP may help improve identification of stroke recurrence by capturing the additive effects of individual ABP parameters. | Jie Xu Fei Jiang Anxin Wang Hui Zhi Yuan Gao Junping Tian Jinglin Mo Zimo Chen An-Ding Xu Benyan Luo Bo Hu Yuqing Zhang Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Hao Li Haipeng Shen Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 3
Structural strength deterioration of coastal bridge piers considering non-uniform corrosion in marine environments显示文摘In the aggressive marine environment over a long-term service period, coastal bridges inevitably sustain corrosion-induced damage due to high sea salt and humidity. This paper investigates the strength reduction of coastal bridges, especially focusing on the effects of non-uniform corrosion along the height of bridge piers.First, the corrosion initiation time and the degradation of reinforcement and concrete are analyzed for bridge piers in marine environments. To investigate the various damage modes of the concrete cover,a discretization method with fiber cells is used for calculating time-dependent interaction diagrams of cross-sections of the bridge piers at the atmospheric zone and the splash and tidal zone under a combination of axial force and bending moment.Second, the shear strength of these aging structures is analyzed.Numerical simulation indicates that the strength of a concrete pier experiences dramatic reduction from corrosion initiation to the spalling of the concrete cover.Strength loss in the splash and tidal zone is more significant than in the atmospheric zone when structures’service time is assumed to be the same. | Guo Anxin Yuan Wenting Li Haitao Li Hui | 2018 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2018,17,2: | 3
Experimental study of a highway bridge with shape memory alloy restrainers focusing on the mitigation of unseating and pounding显示文摘This paper presents an experimental study to investigate the performance of shape memory alloy(SMA) restrainers for mitigating the pounding and unseating of highway bridges when subjected to seismic excitations.Mechanical property tests of the SMA wire used in the restrainers are conducted first to understand the pseudo-elastic characteristics of the material. Then,a series of shaking table tests are carried out on a highway bridge model. The structural responses of the highway bridge model equipped with SMA restrainers, installed in the form of deck-deck and deck-pile connections, are analyzed and compared with the uncontrolled structures. The test results of this study indicate that the SMA restrainers are not only effective in preventing unseating but also in suppressing the seismic-induced pounding of the highway bridge model used in this study. | Guo, Anxin Zhao, Qingjie Li, Hui | 2012 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2012,11,2: | 3
CO_(2) combining power and outcomes in patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack显示文摘Background and purpose The clinical significance of carbon dioxide combining power(CO_(2) CP)in ischaemic cerebrovascular disease is not well established, and the role of CO_(2) CP in the prognosis of acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA)has not been reported. The objective of the study was to investigate the associations between CO2CP and clinical outcomes in patients with AIS or TIA.Methods Data were derived from the China National Stroke Registry III.Patients were classified into five groups by quintiles of CO_(2) CP levels and three groups according to the normal range of CO_(2)CP(23-29 mmol/L).Multivariable Cox and logistic regressions were adopted to explore the associations of CO_(2) CP levels with all-cause death and poor functional outcomes(modified Rankin Scale(mRS)3-6/2-6)at 3 months and 1 year. Results Among 9531 patients included in the study, the median(IQR)CO_(2) CP was 24.9(23.0-27.0)mmol/L.After adjustment for potential confounders, patients in the first CO_(2) CP quintile(21.1-23.3 mmol/L)had higher risk of all-cause death and poor functional outcomes(mRS score of 3-6/2-6)(HR or OR with 95% CI 2.37(1.32 to 4.25),1.49(1.20 to 1.83)and 1.21(1.03 to 1.42),respectively)compared with those in the fourth quintile.Similar results were found for outcomes at 1 year.Furthermore, all associations were also significant when CO_(2) CP was<23 mmol/L compared with CO_(2) CP of 23-29 mmol/L.Conclusions Decreased CO_(2) CP was associated with high risk of all-cause death and poor functional outcomes in patients with AIS or TIA. | Anxin Wang Xue Tian Hongqiu Gu Yingting Zuo Xia Meng Wei Lv Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 2

Pronounced interfacial interaction in icosahedral Au@C_(60) core-shell nanostructure for boosting direct plasmonic photocatalysis under alkaline condition显示文摘The unique hot carrier-driven direct plasmonic photocatalysis of coinage metal nanomaterials(NMs)via energetic localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)in visible-light region has been explored in recent years. However, the low photoinduced electron transfer efficiency and insufficient separation of electronhole pairs would severely preclude their widespread practical applications.Herein,we demonstrate an interesting plasmonic photocatalyst based on the construction of icosahedral(Ih)Au@C_(60) core-shell NMs,taking advantage of specific delocalizedπelectrons structure of a tight C_(60) shell and enhanced LSPR property of Ih Au core. Then, the pronounced interfacial interaction at junction region endows the obtained Au@C_(60) NMs with an outstanding photoinduced hot carrier-transmission during photocatalytic reaction, facilitating a remarkably higher(1.89 times)photocatalytic activity toward visible-light driven degradation of crystal violet(CV)dyes,as compared to bare Au NMs.Impressively, the photocatalytic activity of Ih Au@C_(60) NMs can be effectively optimized by changing the p H value of reaction solution, with the kinetic rate constant reaching the maximum value of 0.179 min^(-1) in pH011.4 solution, while 0.005 min^(-1) at pH03.0.Moreover,due to the protection of a tight C_(60) shell, the Ih Au@C_(60) NMs also possess excellent photocatalytic stability/reusability in recycling runs, holding great potential for the design of robust and high-performance plasmonic photocatalysts in repeated practical applications. | Yue Tian Qingqiang Cui Linlin Xu Anxin Jiao Shuang Li Xuelin Wang Ming Chen | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35: | 0

Cumulative burden of lipid profiles predict future incidence of ischaemic stroke and residual risk显示文摘Objectives Incident ischaemic stroke(IS)risk may increase not only with lipids concentration but also with longer duration of exposure. This study aimed to investigate the impact of cumulative burden of lipid profiles on risk of incident IS.Methods A total of 43836 participants were enrolled who participated in four surveys during 2006-2013.Individual cumulative lipid burden was calculated as number of years(2006-2013)multiplied by the levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),total cholesterol(TC),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),non-HDL C and triglyceride(TG),respectively. The primary outcome was defined as the incident IS during 2012-2017.Results During 4.67 years(±0.70 years)follow-up on average,we identified 1023(2.33%)incident IS.Compared with respective reference groups, the HRs(95%CIs)of the upper tertile in cumulative TG burden, cumulative LDL-C burden, cumulative TC burden and cumulative non-HDL C burden were 1.26 mmol/L(1.02-1.55 mmol/L),1.47 mmol/L(1.25-1.73 mmol/L),1.33 mmol/L(1.12-1.57 mmol/L)and 1.51 mmol/L(1.28-1.80 mmol/L)for incidence of IS,respectively. However, this association was not significant in cumulative HDL-C burden and IS(HR:1.09;95%CI:0.79 to 1.52),after adjustment for confounding variables.Among 16600 participants with low cumulative LDL-C burden,HRs(95%CI)for TC,TG,non-HDL C and HDL-C with IS were 1.63 mmol/L(1.03-2.57 mmol/L),1.65 mmol/L(1.19-2.31 mmol/L),1.57 mmol/L(1.06-2.32 mmol/L)and 0.98 mmol/L(0.56-1.72 mmol/L),respectively.Conclusions We observed the correlation between cumulative burden of lipid profiles, except for cumulative burden of HDL-C,with the risk of incident IS.Cumulative burden of TC,TG and non-HDL C may still predict IS in patients with low cumulative LDL-C burden.Trial registration number ChiCTR-TNRC 11001489. | Liye Dai Jie Xu Yijun Zhang Anxin Wang Zimo Chen Jinglin Mo Hao Li Xia Meng Shouling Wu Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4: | 0
Nutrition in Alzheimer's disease:a review of an underappreciated pathophysiological mechanism显示文摘Alzheimer's disease(AD)is the leading cause of dementia in older individuals and is an escalating challenge to global public health.Pharmacy therapy of AD is one of the well-funded areas;however, little progress has been made due to the complex pathogenesis.Recent evidence has demonstrated that modifying risk factors and lifestyle may prevent or delay the incidence of AD by 40%,which suggests that the management should pivot from single pharmacotherapy toward a multipronged approach because AD is a complex and multifaceted disease.Recently, the gut-microbiota-brain axis has gained tremendous traction in the pathogenesis of AD through bidirectional communication with multiple neural, immune, and metabolic pathways, providing new insights into novel therapeutic strategies.Dietary nutrition is an important and profound environmental factor that influences the composition and function of the microbiota. The Nutrition for Dementia Prevention Working Group recently found that dietary nutrition can affect cognition in AD-related dementia directly or indirectly through complex interactions of behavioral, genetic, systemic, and brain factors. Thus, considering the multiple etiologies of AD,nutrition represents a multidimensional factor that has a profound effect on AD onset and development. However, mechanistically, the effect of nutrition on AD is uncertain;therefore, optimal strategies or the timing of nutritional intervention to prevent or treat AD has not been established. Thus, this review summarizes the current state of knowledge concerning nutritional disorders,AD patient and caregiver burden, and the roles of nutrition in the pathophysiology of AD.We aim to emphasize knowledge gaps to provide direction for future research and to establish optimal nutrition-based intervention strategies for AD. | Jiwei Jiang Hanping Shi Shirui Jiang Anxin Wang Xinying Zou Yanli Wang Wenyi Li Yuan Zhang Mengfan Sun Qiwei Ren Jun Xu | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10: | 0
