| 1 | Curative effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion on chronic persistent asthma: a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare the curative effects of heat-sensitive moxibustion with conventional drugs on chronic persistent asthma and seek a valuable therapy to replaceWestern Medicine.METHODS:The participants in this multi-center,randomized,and controlled study were randomly divided into two groups:group A(n=144),treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion(50 sessions)and group B(n=144),treated with Seretide(salmeterol50μg/fluticasone 250μg,twice a day).The scores of asthma control test(ACT),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow(PEF),and attack frequency were measured after 15,30,60,and 90 days of treatment.Patients followed up3 and 6 months after treatment.RESULTS:There was a significant difference(P=0.0002)in the ACT score and lung function between the two groups after 3 months of treatment and(P=0.000 03)during the follow-up visits.In addition,heat-sensitive moxibustion reduced attack frequency in the period from inclusion to the6-month follow-up visit.CONCLUSION:This study shows that heat-sensitive moxibustion may have a comparable curative effect toSeretide(salmeterol/fluticasone)on asthma. | Rixin Chen Mingren Chen Jun Xiong Zhenhai Chi B0 Zhang Ning Tian Zhenhua Xu Tangfa Zhang Wanyao Li Wei Zhang Xiaofeng Rong Zhen Wang Gang Sun Baohe Ge Guoxiong Yu Nanchang Song | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5: | 20 |

| 3 | Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine preparations in patients with chronic heart failure:a prospective,single-blind,randomized,controlled,and multicenter clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) of Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) preparations.METHODS: This prospective, single-blind, randomized, controlled, and multicenter clinical trial began on September 17, 2008, and was completed on June 25, 2011. A total of 340 inpatients, aged 40-79 years, with exacerbating CHF from 10 hospitals were enrolled and randomly allocated within 24 h of admission. The trial included three intervention periods. During hospitalization, the control group received western medication for CHF and the treatment group received Danhong injection with Shenfu injection or Shenmai injection. After discharge,all patients were treated with Qiliqiangxin capsules and Buyiqiangxin tablets or a placebo for 6 months. After the 6-month intervention, both groups received only continuous western medication. The primary endpoint was all-cause mortality.The efficacy assessments were as follows: B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), Lee's HF score, the 6-minute walking test(6 MWT), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ). The safety assessments were as follows: blood and urine routine examination, hepatic and renal function, electrolytes in blood and adverse events.RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the treatment group showed a 30.99% reduction in all-cause mortality and an improved survival rate.The treatment group showed greater improvement in 6 MWT(P = 0.02) than the control group on discharge, after 12-month follow-up, there was a time-group interaction for MLHFQ(P = 0.03). | 7 | TSC1 enables plastid development under dark conditions, contributing to rice adaptation to transplantation shock显示文摘Since its domestication from wild rice thousands of years ago, rice has been cultivated largely through transplantation. During transplantation from the nursery to the paddy field, rice seedlings experience transplantation shock which affects their physiology and production.However, the mechanisms underlying transplantation shock and rice adaptation to this shock are largely unknown. Here,we isolated a transplant-sensitive chloroplast-deficient(tsc_1)rice mutant that produces albino leaves after transplantation.Blocking light from reaching the juvenile leaves and leaf primordia caused chloroplast deficiencies in transplanted tsc_1 seedlings. TSC_1 encodes a noncanonical adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette(ABC) transporter homologous to At NAP_(14) and is of cyanobacterial origin. We demonstrate that TSC_1 controls plastid development in rice under dark conditions, and functions independently of light signaling.However, light rescued the tsc_1 mutant phenotype in a spectrum-independent manner. TSC_1 was upregulated following transplantation, and modulated the iron and copper levels, thereby regulating prolamellar body formation during the early P_4 stage of leaf development. | 9 | Experimental and Numerical Study of the Effect of Fuel/Air Mixing Modes on NO_(x) and CO Emissions of MILD Combustion in a Boiler Burner显示文摘The Moderate or Intense Low-oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion is characterized by low emissions,stable combustion and low noise for various kinds of fuel,which has great potential in the industry.The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fuel/air mixing modes on NO_(x) and CO emissions of MILD combustion in a boiler burner by experiments and numerical simulations.Three types of fuel/air mixing modes (premixing mode,diffusion mode and hybrid mode) have been considered in this study.The realizable k-ε turbulent model and the Eddy Dissipation Concept (EDC) combustion model were used in numerical simulations.In addition to the temperature near the burner head,the calculation results match very well with the axial temperature distribution at the furnace center.The flow pattern under different mixing modes is similar,while the hybrid mode has a higher OH concentration near the diffusive fuel nozzle than the premixing mode,and the corresponding position of the peak OH concentration is closer to the rear half of the furnace.The distribution of temperature is extremely uniform for the premixing mode in the main reactive zone,which is typical for MILD combustion.There is a distinct area where the reaction temperature is higher than 1600 K for the hybrid mode.Moreover,in the main reactive zone,the gas recirculation ratio is high enough to ensure flue gas recirculation,which is beneficial to achieve MILD combustion at local areas.At the location where the axial distance is greater than 0.2 m,the gas recirculation ratio of the premixing mode is larger than that of the hybrid mode,which strengthens the entrainment of hot flue gas into the recirculated gas.The experimental results show that when the thermal intensity is less than 1.67 MW·m^(-3),the NO_(x) emissions are less than 15× 10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2) in near stoichiometric ratio in the premixing mode,and the CO emissions are less than 10× 10^(-6)@3.5%O2 under the same conditions.In the diffusion mode,the NO_(x) emissions are less than 30×10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2).In order to keep NO_(x) and CO emissions low,the hybrid modes with optimized fuel distribution ratio are found under different thermal intensities. | ZHU Ziru XIONG Yan ZHENG Xianglong CHEN Weijie REN Baohe XIAO Yunhan | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |
