3Physicochemical properties and biological activities of polysaccharides from the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.extracted by four different methods显示文摘Polysaccharides are the important biologically active components found in the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.(DTTP).The influences of 4 extraction methods,namely hot water extraction(W),acidic extraction(HA),hot-compressed water extraction(HCW)and enzyme-assisted extraction(EAE),on the yields,physicochemical properties,hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities of polysaccharides from DTTP were studied and compared.Among these DTTP polysaccharides,DTTP-HA was outstanding in several respects.DTTP-HA was the most water soluble;it had the highest total carbohydrate content(85.08%),the highest uronic acid(13.20%)and the highest thermal stability.DTTP-HA and DTTP-W possessed a triple-helix structure.These 4 kinds of polysaccharides have the same types of monosaccharides,but in different molar percentages.Extraction method had a significant impact on the microstructures of the extracted polysaccharides.DTT-HA exhibited irregular structure with many holes.Among the 4 extracted methods,the DTTP-HA and DTTP-W initially exhibited higher hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities.The better bioactivities of DTTP-HA may be related to the above factors.The findings indicated that acid extraction is an effective method to extract polysaccharides with high biological activities from DTTP.Zuowei Zhao Li Wang Yuan Ruan Chunnan Wen Menghuan Ge Yanyan Qian Bingji Ma 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1:1
4Plasmacytoid dendritic cells promote acute kidney injury by producing interferon-α显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common clinical complication associated with high mortality in patients.Immune cells and cytokines have recently been described to play essential roles in AKI pathogenesis.Plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)are a unique DC subset that specializes in type Ⅰ interferon(IFN)production.Here,we showed that pDCs rapidly infiltrated the kidney in response to AKI and contributed to kidney damage by producing IFN-α.Deletion of pDCs using DTR^(BDCA2) transgenic(Tg)mice suppressed cisplatin-induced AKI,accompanied by marked reductions in proinflammatory cytokine production,immune cell infiltration and apoptosis in the kidney.In contrast,adoptive transfer of pDCs during AKI exacerbated kidney damage.We further identified IFN-α as the key factor that mediated the functions of pDCs during AKI,as IFN-α neutralization significantly attenuated kidney injury.Furthermore,IFN-α produced by pDCs directly induced the apoptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells(TECs)in vitro.In addition,our data demonstrated that apoptotic TECs induced the activation of pDCs,which was inhibited in the presence of an apoptosis inhibitor.Furthermore,similar deleterious effects of pDCs were observed in an ischemia reperfusion(IR)-induced AKI model.Clinically,increased expression of IFN-α in kidney biopsies was observed in kidney transplants with AKI.Taken together,the results of our study reveal that pDCs play a detrimental role in AKI via IFN-α.Bo Deng Yuli Lin Yusheng Chen Shuai Ma Qian Cai Wenji Wang Bingji Li Tingyan Liu Peihui Zhou Rui He Feng Ding 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,1:1

8Optical spectroscopy study of Ca_3(Ru_(0.91)Mn_(0.09))_2O_7 single crystal in high magnetic fields显示文摘The magneto-optical spectrum, with magnetic fields up to 42 T, of double layered ruthenates Ca_3(Ru_(0.91)Mn_(0.09))_2O_7(CRMO) single crystal is studied. Both the temperature and magnetic field induced insulator-to-metal transitions(IMTs) are observed via magneto-optical properties of the crystal. The critical magnetic field(H//c) of IMT for CRMO is found to be as large as 35 T at 5 K. The fine structure of optical spectra identified the antiferromagnetic/ferro-orbital-ordering configurations of Ru 4d orbitals at low temperatures. Meanwhile, the configuration of orbital polarization of such double-layer CRMO single crystal is discussed. 9Optical experimental solution for the multiway number partitioning problem and its application to computing power scheduling显示文摘Quantum computing is an emerging technology that is expected to realize an exponential increase in computing power. Recently,its theoretical foundation and application scenarios have been extensively researched and explored. In this work, we propose efficient quantum algorithms suitable for solving computing power scheduling problems in the cloud-rendering domain, which can be viewed mathematically as a generalized form of a typical NP-complete problem, i.e., a multiway number partitioning problem.In our algorithm, the matching pattern between tasks and computing resources with the shortest completion time or optimal load balancing is encoded into the ground state of the Hamiltonian;it is then solved using the optical coherent Ising machine, a practical quantum computing device with at least 100 qubits. The experimental results show that the proposed quantum scheme can achieve significant acceleration and save 97% of the time required to solve combinatorial optimization problems compared with classical algorithms. This demonstrates the computational advantages of optical quantum devices in solving combinatorial optimization problems. 10Sulfation of the extracellular polysaccharide from the edible fungus Stropharia rugosoannulata with its antioxidant activity显示文摘An acidic extracellular polysaccharide(EPS)was gained from Stropharia rugosoannulata fermentation broth by the alcohol precipitate method.Sulfated derivative of EPS(S-EPS)was gained by chlorosulfonic acid-pyridine method and the conditions were as follows:pyridine as the reaction solvent,temperature 80°C,and reaction time 90 min.The chemical structure and chain conformation of EPS and S-EPS were characterized by FT-IR,NMR and size exclusion chromatography(SEC)coupled with multi-angle laser light scattering(MALLS)detection.FT-IR spectra indicated the sulfated group was linked to the polymer.The EPS mainly consists of mannose,glucose and glucuronic acid,and the glycosidic bond type is mainly(1→4)-linked and(1→6)-linked.C6 and C2 were substituted by sulfate groups.The EPS was degraded into smaller molecular weight(Mw)polysaccharides with the larger molecular size(Rg)after sulfation and S-EPS has better hydrophilicity.Moreover,the sulfated derivative S-EPS was found to have a better scavenging ability on hydroxyl radicals than EPS.It proved that the chemical modification of S.rugosoannulata polysaccharides by sulfation effectively enhanced their antioxidant activity.Hui Hao Chun Cui Yuqing Xing Xuewei Jia Bingjie Ma Wenyi Kang Tianxiao Li Mingqi Gao Chunping Xu 2023Journal of Future Foods2023,3,1:0
11Practical continuous-variable quantum key distribution with feasible optimization parameters显示文摘Continuous-variable quantum key distribution(CV-QKD)offers an approach to achieve a potential high secret key rate(SKR)in metropolitan areas.There are several challenges in developing a practical CV-QKD system from the laboratory to the real world.One of the most significant points is that it is really hard to adapt different practical optical fiber conditions for CV-QKD systems with unified hardware.Thus,how to improve the performance of practical CV-QKD systems in the field without modification of the hardware is very important.Here,a systematic optimization method,combining the modulation variance and error correction matrix optimization,is proposed to improve the performance of a practical CV-QKD system with a restricted capacity of postprocessing.The effect of restricted postprocessing capacity on the SKR is modeled as a nonlinear programming problem with modulation variance as an optimization parameter,and the selection of an optimal error correction matrix is studied under the same scheme.The results show that the SKR of a CV-QKD system can be improved by 24%and 200%compared with previous frequently used optimization methods theoretically with a transmission distance of 50 km.Furthermore,the experimental results verify the feasibility and robustness of the proposed method,where the achieved optimal SKR achieved practically deviates<1.6%from the theoretical optimal value.Our results pave the way to deploy high-performance CV-QKD in the real world.Li MA Jie YANG Tao ZHANG Yun SHAO Jinlu LIU Yujie LUO Heng WANG Wei HUANG Fan FAN Chuang ZHOU Liangliang ZHANG Shuai ZHANG Yichen ZHANG Yang LI Bingjie XU 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,8:0
12Pyrene-tethered bismoviologens for visible light-induced C(sp^(3))-P and C(sp^(2))-P bonds formation显示文摘Developing efficient photosensitizers for C-P bond construction is highly important and remains a challenge due to the urgently needed for the synthesis of modified nucleosides,nucleotides,and other phosphine-containing ligands.Herein,two pyrene-tethered bismoviologen derivatives(Py-BiV^(2+))were designed and synthesized for visible-light-induced C-P bonds formation.The photochemical and electrochemical properties of Py-BiV^(2+)were studied systemically,certifying fine-tunable opto-electronic properties through the number of pyrene groups(4,n=1;6,n=2).The prepared Py-BiV^(2+)showed strong light absorption,while retaining good redox features and chromic response features that were inherent to viologens.4 exhibited accelerated photoinduced electron transfer in the presence of the electron donor(pyrene)and the generated 4(radical cation)showed higher stability.Accordingly,Py-BiV^(2+)directly served as photosensitizers for the first time in the visible-light-induced C(sp^(3))-P and C(sp^(2))-P bonds formation.As expected,these novel viologen derivatives exhibited good catalytic performance and good substrate expansibility under ambient conditions.Wenqiang Ma Sikun Zhang Liang Xu Bingjie Zhang Guoping Li Bin Rao Mingming Zhang Gang He 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:0
13A new generation M^(pro)inhibitor with potent activity against SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variants显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants, particularly the Omicron variant and its sublineages, continually threaten the global public health.Small molecule antivirals are an effective treatment strategy to fight against the virus. However, the first-generation antivirals eithershow limited clinical efficacy and/or have some defects in pharmacokinetic (PK) properties. Moreover, with increased use of thesedrugs across the globe, they face great pressure of drug resistance. We herein present the discovery and characterization of a newgeneration antiviral drug candidate (SY110), which is a potent and selective inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro). Thiscompound displayed potent in vitro antiviral activity against not only the predominant SARS-CoV-2 Omicron sublineage BA.5, butalso other highly pathogenic human coronaviruses including SARS-CoV-1 and MERS-CoV. In the Omicron-infected K18-hACE2mouse model, oral treatment with SY110 significantly lowered the viral burdens in lung and alleviated the virus-induced pathology.Importantly, SY110 possesses favorable PK properties with high oral drug exposure and oral bioavailability, and also an outstandingsafety profile. Furthermore, SY110 exhibited sensitivity to several drug-resistance Mpro mutations. 14Altered expression profile of long non-coding RNAs during heart aging in mice显示文摘Objective:Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)play an important role in regulating the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases.However,the role of lncRNAs in heart aging remains poorly understood.The objective of this study was to identify differentially expressed lncRNAs in the heart of aging mice and elucidate the relevant regulatory pathways of cardiac aging.Materials and methods:Echocardiography was used to detect the cardiac function of 18-months(aged)and 3-months(young)old C57BL/6 mice.Microarray analysis was performed to unravel the expression profiles of lncRNAs and mRNAs,and qRT-PCR to verify the highly dysregulated lncRNAs.Results:Our results demonstrated that the heart function in aged mice was impaired relative to young ones.Microarray results showed that 155 lncRNAs were upregulated and 37 were downregulated,and 170 mRNAs were significantly upregulated and 44 were remarkably downregulated in aging hearts.Gene ontology analysis indicated that differentially expressed genes are mainly related to immune function,cell proliferation,copper ion response,and cellular cation homeostasis.KEGG pathway analysis showed that the differentially expressed mRNAs are related to cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction,inflammatory mediator regulation of TRP channels,and the NF-kappa B signaling pathway.Conclusion:These results imply that the differentially expressed lncRNAs may regulate the development of heart aging.This study provides a new perspective on the potential effects and mechanisms of lncRNAs in heart aging.Xiuxiu Wang Bingjie Hua Meixi Yu Shenzhen Liu Wenya Ma Fengzhi Ding Qi Huang Lai Zhang Chongwei Bi Ye Yuan Mengyu Jin Tianyi Liu Ying Yu Benzhi Cai Baofeng Yang 2022Frigid Zone Medicine2022,2,2:0
15Synthesis of LaFeO_3 catalytic materials and their sensing properties显示文摘LaFeO3 is a p-type semiconductor catalytic material of perovskite structure (ABO3). Its magnetic and photocatalytic properties have been widely investigated,but the gas sensing properties are seldom reported,especially for toxic and noxious gases of NO2 and CO. The nanocomposites of LaFeO3 and LaFe1-xMgxO3 (x = 0.02,0.04,0.06) were prepared by various methods of the wet chemical process and their exact composition,crystal structures,grain sizes,specific surfaces,morphology and the electronic interaction between components were characterized by EDX,XRD,BET,SEM and XPS analysis. The sensors based on these nanocomposites have been fabricated to examine the sensing responses to gases,and the results show that these sensors exhibited high response to both oxidizing gas (NO2) and reducing gas (CO),and the response was greatly enhanced by the surface modification of MgO. 16Functional biochar for efficient residue treatment of sulfonylurea herbicides by weak molecular interaction显示文摘Pesticide residues have seriously damaged the natural environment and social security.Here,we prepared the efficient functional biochar(FB)for sulfonylurea herbicides from cotton straw cellulose(CSC)by hydrothermal carbonization with the methacrylic acid.The molecular simulation of FB indicated thatπ-πelectron-donor-acceptor(EDA)interaction and formation of charge-assisted H-bond were both the main factors for effective adsorption process.The adsorption process can match the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation and Freundlich model.The whole process is physical adsorption,spontaneous and rapid,and can quickly reach equilibrium.The FB with carbon-oxygen functional groups and aromatic conjugated structures can remove pesticides in water very quickly(within 30 s),with effective adsorption over 95%of Sulfonylurea herbicides(SUHs).Therefore,functional FB might be an effective way to get excellent absorbent for pesticide treatment.Yunpeng Zhang Bingjie Zhang Jingyang Yu Meng Yuan Jiawen Ji Huizhe Lu Yongqiang Ma Yunlong Guo 2021Biochar2021,3,4:0
17Catalytic activity of Mn-substituted barium hexaaluminates for methane combustion显示文摘The catalysts of hexaaluminate (BaMnxAl12-xO19-δ , x = 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0) to be used in methane combustion have been successfully synthesized by co-precipitation method and supercritical drying. The crystalline structure and surface area of catalyst were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and nitrogen adsorption analysis of BET method. BET analysis revealed that the preparing and drying method proposed here provides stable materials with higher surface area of 51.4 m2/g in comparison to materials prepared using conventional ambient drying method for BaMnxAl12?xO19-δ calcined at 1200℃ under oxygen. XRD analysis indicated that formation of a pure single phase BaMnxAl12-xO19-δ occurred up to x = 3 in the case of Mn-substituted barium hexaaluminates. Incorporation of Mn in excess leads to BaAl2O4 phase formation. As far as the valence state of Manganese ions was concerned, the introduced Mn ions were either divalent or trivalent. The first Mn ions were introduced in the matrix essentially as Mn2+ and only for BaMn3Al9O19-δ does manganese exist exclusively as Mn3+; the higher the Mn concen- tration, the higher the proportion of Mn3+. Catalytic activity for methane combustion has been measured for Mn-substituted barium hexaaluminates, light-off temperature was observed in the 512-624℃ range. The highest activity was obtained for catalysts containing 3 Mn ions per unit cell, which reveals that the BaMnxAl12-xO19-δ catalyst was a promising methane combustion catalyst with high activity and good thermal stability.
