| 1 | Spatiotemporal variations of internal P-loading and the related mechanisms in the large shallow Lake Chaohu显示文摘Spatiotemporal variations of P species and adsorption behavior in water column, interstitial water, and sediments were investigated in the large shallow eutrophic Lake Chaohu. Orthophosphate (Ortho-P) and total phosphorus (TP) concentrations were significantly higher in the western part than in the eastern part of the lake, due to different nutrient inputs from the surrounding rivers.Moreover, particulate phosphorus (PP) concentration was in a similar spatial pattern to Ortho-P and TP concentrations, and also showed significantly positive correlation with the biomass of Microcystis,indicating more uptake and store of phosphorus by Microcystis than by other algae. Increase of pH and intensive utilization of P by phytoplankton were the main factors promoting P (especially Fe-P)release from the sediment to interstitial water during the cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Chaohu. Spatial dynamics in TP concentration, P species and adsorption behavior of the sediment, coupled with the statistical analyses, suggested that the spatial heterogeneity of P contents in the sediment was influenced by various factors, e.g. human activities, soil geochemistry and mineral composition. | 2 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 3 | Effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on excisional wound healing in a rat's model显示文摘OBJEVTIVE: To investigate the effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on the excisional wound healing in a rat's model.METHODS: Rats were performed a surgical lesion with a 2.0 cm resected tissue in the dorsal fascia.Following, animals were randomly divided into model group, YNB group and APE group those were respectively treated with saline, 1 mg/mL of Yunnan Baiyao and 1 mg/mL of Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) extracts. Wound contractions in days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 21 were calculated by an image analyzer. Histological analysis was analyzed using hematoxilin and eosin.Levels of tumor necrosis factor-2(IL-2), IL-4, IL-10, transformαin(TNF-g growα), interleukinth factor-1(TGF-nd basic fibroblast growth factor(bFββ1) a-GF) were determined by real-time quantitative PCR.RESULTS: Compared with that of YNB group and APE gtoup, the skin of rats showed poor re-modeling and re-epithelization characterized by a significant decrease of neovascularization, epithelialization and fibroblast in the model group. Three of the tetraazacyclophanes were modified on the four nitrogen atoms by using ferrocenoyl chloride, so a new kind of enzyme model was obtained by introducing the side arms of ferrocenoyl group. And four of the tetraazacyclophanes with straight chains were also synthesized through the reaction of 1,8,22,29-tetraaza[8.1.8.1] paracyclophane with bromoalkane and alkanecarbonyl bromide. Ten of them have not ever been reported in literature.
