1Rural land use spatial allocation in the semiarid loess hilly area in China:Using a Particle Swarm Optimization model equipped with multi-objective optimization techniques显示文摘Semiarid loess hilly areas in China are enduring a series of environmental conflicts between urban expansion,cultivated land conservation,soil erosion and water shortage,and require land use allocation to reconcile these environmental conflicts.We argue that the optimized spatial allocation of rural land use can be achieved by a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) model in conjunction with multi-objective optimization techniques.Our study focuses on Yuzhong County of Gangsu Province in China,a typical catchment on the Loess Plateau,and proposes a land use spatial optimization model.The model maximizes land use suitability and spatial compactness based on a variety of constraints,e.g.optimal land use structure and restrictive areas,and employs an improved PSO algorithm equipped with a determinant initialization method and a dynamic weighted aggregation (DWA) method to obtain the optimized land use spatial pattern.The results suggest that (1) approximately 4% of land use should be reallocated and these changes would alleviate the environmental conflicts in the study area;(2) the major reshuffling is slope farmland and newly added construction and cultivated land,whereas the unchanged areas are largely forests and basic farmland;and (3) the PSO is capable of optimizing rural land use allocation,and the determinant initialization method and DWA can improve the performance of the PSO.LIU YaoLin LIU DianFeng LIU YanFang HE JianHua JIAO LiMin CHEN YiYun HONG XiaoFeng 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7:23

3Cyclic Iodine Reagents Enable Allylic Alcohols for Alkyl Boronate Addition/Rearrangement by Photoredox Catalysis显示文摘All-carbon quaternary centers are prevalent in bioactive small molecules.However,their efficient construction remains a formidable synthetic challenge.Here we report cyclic iodine(Ⅲ)reagents enable the synthesis of cyclopentanones,cyclohexanones,and dihydrofuranones bearing a-quaternary centers by photoredox catalysis.The reaction proceeds by the formation of the novel cyclic iodine(Ⅲ)reagent-allylic alcohol complex,which enables the first alkyl boronate addition and semi-pinacol rearrangement of allylic alcohols with dual alcohol and olefin activation.The reaction is suitable for gram scale synthesis and is transformable to alcohols,olefins,oximes,and lactones with an α-quaternary center in one step.Mingshang Liu Hanchu Huang Yiyun Chen 2018Chinese Journal of Chemistry2018,36,12:2
4Structure and Function of N-Terminal Zinc Finger Domain of SARS-CoV-2 NSP2显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 has become a global pandemic threatening human health and safety.It is urgent to find effective therapeutic agents and targets with the continuous emergence of novel mutant strains.The knowledge of the molecular basis and pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 in host cells requires to be understood comprehensively.The unknown structure and function of nsp2 have hindered our understanding of its role in SARS-CoV-2 infection.Here,we report the crystal structure of the N-terminal of SARS-CoV-2 nsp2 to a high resolution of 1.96?.This novel structure contains three zinc fingers,belonging to the C2 H2,C4,and C2 HC types,respectively.Structure analysis suggests that nsp2 may be involved in binding nucleic acids and regulating intracellular signaling pathways.The binding to single or double-stranded nucleic acids was mainly through the large positively charged region on the surface of nsp2,and K111,K112,K113 were key residues.Our findings lay the foundation for a better understanding of the relationship between structure and function for nsp2.It is helpful to make full use of nsp2 as further research and development of antiviral targets and drug design.Jun Ma Yiyun Chen Wei Wu Zhongzhou Chen 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,5:2

8Combining Environmental Factors and Lab VNIR Spectral Data to Predict SOM by Geospatial Techniques显示文摘Soil organic matter(SOM) is an important parameter related to soil nutrient and miscellaneous ecosystem services. This paper attempts to improve the performance of traditional partial least square regression(PLSR) model by considering the spatial autocorrelation and soil forming factors. Surface soil samples(n = 180) were collected from Honghu City located in the middle of Jianghan Plain, China. The visible and near infrared(VNIR) spectra and six environmental factors(elevation, land use types, roughness, relief amplitude, enhanced vegetation index, and land surface water index) were used as the auxiliary variables to construct the multiple linear regression(MLR), PLSR and geographically weighted regression(GWR) models. Results showed that: 1) the VNIR spectra can increase about 39.62% prediction accuracy than the environmental factors in predicting SOM; 2) the comprehensive variables of VNIR spectra and the environmental factors can improve about 5.78% and 44.90% relative to soil spectral models and soil environmental models, respectively; 3) the spatial model(GWR) can improve about 3.28% accuracy than MLR and PLSR. 92,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin promotes migration ability of primary cultured rat astrocytes via aryl hydrocarbon receptor显示文摘Emerging evidence showed that 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD) could induce expression of certain reactivation-associated genes in astrocytes, however, the consequent cellular effects and molecular mechanisms are still unclear. During the process of astrocyte reactivation, migration is a critical cellular event. In the present study, we employed woundhealing assay and Transwell? motility assay to explore the effects of TCDD on cell migration in primary cultured rat cortical astrocytes. We found that upon TCDD treatments at relative low concentrations(10^(-10) and/or 10^(-9) mol/L), the ability of primary astrocytes to migrate horizontally and vertically was promoted. In line with this cellular effect, the mR NA expression of two promigratory genes, including cell division cycle 42(CDC42) and matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP2)was induced by TCDD treatment. Dioxin exerts its toxic effects mainly through aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR) pathway. So the role of AhR pathway in the pro-migratory effects of TCDD was examined using an AhR antagonist, CH223191. We found that application of CH223191 significantly reversed the pro-migratory effects of TCDD. Interestingly, the basal ability of horizontal migration as well as basal levels of CDC42 and MMP2 expression were dramatically reduced suggesting a possible physiological role of AhR in maintaining the endogenous migration ability of the primary astrocytes.
