2Effect of oxidation treatment on the adsorption and the stability of mercury on activated carbon显示文摘Oxidation treatment on the adsorption and the stability of Hg on activated carbon (AC) was inrestigated. Both MnO2-AC and FeCl3-AC were produced during oxidation treatment. The measurement of modified AC’s mercury adsorption capacity was conducted in a simulated coal-fired flue gas by adsorbing test apparatus. TCLP and column leaching methods were used to test the stability of mercury adsorbed on ACs. The results indicate that the oxidation treatment changed the pore structure of the AC and modified the carbon surface by creating chemical components such as MnO4-, Mn4+, O, NO3-, Fe3+, Cl-, etc. The Hg sorption capacity on MnO2-AC or FeCl3-AC was about three times higher than that of untreated carbon. In addition, the mercury control cost of each of the formers was about the half cost of the untreated carbon. The stability of Hg absorption was studied, it found that mercury adsorbed on the oxidation treated AC was not better than that of untreated carbon. It could concluded that the insoluble form of Hg is very important to the stability of mercury adsorbed on AC. 3Release characteristic of different classes of sodium during combustion of Zhun-Dong coal investigated by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy显示文摘Serious fouling and slagging problems are associated with the combustion of Chinese Zhun-Dong coal due to its high content of sodium(Na). Understanding the release characteristic of Na during the combustion is essential to viable utilization of this coal. In this work, coal samples were treated with a sequence of solvents: water(H2O), ammonium acetate(NH4Ac), hydrochloric acid(HCl), and the release characteristics of various classes of Na during coal combustion were investigated using the technique of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. The relative contribution of various Na classes to the Na release during each combustion stage was found to be similar, in the order of H2O-soluble Na [ NH4 Acsoluble Na [ HCl-soluble Na [ insoluble Na. Sodium released during the devolatilization stage can be attributed to each of the sodium classes. After the devolatilization stage,H2O-soluble Na and NH4Ac-soluble Na dominated the Na release during both char and ash stages. 5BMSC-derived exosomes ameliorate sulfur mustard-induced acute lung injury by regulating the GPRC5A-YAP axis显示文摘Sulfur mustard(SM)is a highly toxic chemical warfare agent that causes acute lung injury(ALI)and/or acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).There are no effective therapeutic treatments or antidotes available currently to counteract its toxic effects.Our previous study shows that bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)could exert therapeutic effects against SM-induced lung injury.In this study,we explored the therapeutic potential of BMSC-derived exosomes(BMSC-Exs)against ALI and the underlying mechanisms.ALI was induced in mice by injection of SM(30 mg/kg,sc)at their medial and dorsal surfaces.BMSC-Exs(20μg/kg in 200μL PBS,iv)were injected for a 5-day period after SM exposure.We showed that BMSC-Exs administration caused a protective effect against pulmonary edema.Using a lung epithelial cell barrier model,BMSC-Exs(10,20,40μg)dose-dependently inhibited SM-induced cell apoptosis and promoted the recovery of epithelial barrier function by facilitating the expression and relocalization of junction proteins(E-cadherin,claudin-1,occludin,and ZO-1).We further demonstrated that BMSC-Exs protected against apoptosis and promoted the restoration of barrier function against SM through upregulating G protein-coupled receptor family C group 5 type A(GPRC5A),a retinoic acid target gene predominately expressed in the epithelial cells of the lung.Knockdown of GPRC5A reduced the antiapoptotic and barrier regeneration abilities of BMSC-Exs and diminished their therapeutic effects in vitro and in vivo.BMSC-Exs-caused upregulation of GPRC5A promoted the expression of Bcl-2 and junction proteins via regulating the YAP pathway.In summary,BMSC-Exs treatment exerts protective effects against SM-induced ALI by promoting alveolar epithelial barrier repair and may be an alternative approach to stem cell-based therapy.Guan-chao Mao Chu-chu Gong Zhen Wang Ming-xue Sun Zhi-peng Pei Wen-qi Meng Jin-feng Cen Xiao-wen He Ying Lu Qing-qiang Xu Kai Xiao 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,12:4
6The combination of chidamide with the CHOEP regimen in previously untreated patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma: a prospective, multicenter, single arm, phase 1b/2 study显示文摘Objective:To assess the efficacy and safety of the novel histone deacetylase inhibitor,chidamide,in combination with cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin,vincristine,etoposide,and prednisone(Chi-CHOEP)for untreated peripheral T-cell lymphoma(PTCL).Methods:A prospective,multicenter,single arm,phase 1 b/2 study was conducted.A total of 128 patients with untreated PTCL(18–70 years of age)were enrolled between March 2016 and November 2019,and treated with up to 6 cycles with the Chi-CHOEP regimen.In the phase 1 b study,3 dose levels of chidamide were evaluated and the primary endpoint was determination of the maximumtolerated dose and recommended phase 2 dose(RP2 D).The primary endpoint of the phase 2 study was 2-year progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Fifteen patients were enrolled in the phase 1 b study and the RP2 D for chidamide was determined to be 20 mg,twice a week.A total of 113 patients were treated at the RP2 D in the phase 2 study,and the overall response rate was 60.2%,with a complete response rate of 40.7%.At a median follow-up of 36 months,the median PFS was 10.7 months,with 1-,2-,and 3-year PFS rates of 49.9%,38.0%,and 32.8%,respectively.The Chi-CHOEP regimen was well-tolerated,with grade 3/4 neutropenia occurring in approximately two-thirds of the patients.No unexpected adverse events(AEs)were reported and the observed AEs were manageable.Conclusions:This large cohort phase 1 b/2 study showed that Chi-CHOEP was well-tolerated with modest efficacy in previously untreated PTCL patients.Wei Zhang Liping Su Lihong Liu Yuhuan Gao Quanshun Wang Hang Su Yuhuan Song Huilai Zhang Jing Shen Hongmei Jing Shuye Wang Xinan Cen Hui Liu Aichun Liu Zengjun Li Jianmin Luo Jianxia He Jingwen Wang O.A.O’Connor Daobin Zhou 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:4

8Fluidized-bed pyrolysis of waste bamboo显示文摘Bamboo was a popular material substituting for wood,especially for one-off commodity in China. In order to recover energy and materials from waste bamboo,the basic characteristics of bamboo pyrolysis were studied by a thermogravimetric analyzer. It implied that the reaction began at 190~210 °C,and the percentage of solid product deceased from about 25% to 17% when temperature ranged from 400 °C to 700 °C. A lab-scale fluidized-bed furnace was setup to research the detailed properties of gaseous,liquid and solid products respectively. When temperature increased from 400 °C to 700 °C,the mass percent of solid product decreased from 27% to 17% approximately,while that of syngas rose up from 19% to 35%. When temperature was about 500°C,the percentage of tar reached the top,about 31%. The mass balance of these experiments was about 93%~95%. 11Differentially Expressed microRNAs as Potential Markers for Vital Reaction of Burned Skin显示文摘The identification of antemortem burns and postmortem burns is essential in forensic practice.In this study,microRNA(miRNA)microarray analysis was conducted to identify differentially expressed miRNAs in the skin of an experimental burn model.Microarray analysis revealed 24 differentially expressed miRNAs in antemortem burned mice skin,with 19 miRNAs significantly upregulated and 5 downregulated.Based on the intersection predicted using three databases(Targetscan,microRNA.org,and PITA),293 potential miRNA targets were identified.These dysregulated miRNAs and their predicted targets were further analyzed using the Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes databases.Several functional categories and signaling pathways were enriched,including the“fc epsilon ri signaling pathway,”“endometrial cancer,”and“mTOR signaling pathway.”Expression patterns of 10 differentially expressed miRNAs were verified by reverse transcription‑quantitative polymerase chain reaction in mice skins.The results agreed with the results of microarray analysis.These findings suggest that differentially expressed miRNAs revealed by microarray are potential markers for forensic molecular diagnosis of antemortem burns.Hao‑Pin Lyu Ming Cheng Jin‑Cen Liu Ming‑Yuan Ye Di Xu Jie‑Tao He Xiao‑Li Xie Qi Wang 2018Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2018,4,3:2

13Effects of La^(3+) Non-Uniformly Doping in TiO_2 Films on Photocatalytic Activities显示文摘TiO2 thin films non-uniformly doped by La 3+ were prepared by sol-gel method. The comparison of thin film activities, which was characterized by photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange, shows that doping modes have great effects on photocatalytic activities. The non-uniformly doped TiO2 films result in good photocatalytic activities with an optimal concentration; about 0.5%(atom fraction). UV-Vis transmittance spectra indicate that the absorption edges of these TiO2 thin films shift to ward longer wavelengths remarkably, and electrochemical behavior also reveales that e--h+ pairs are prone to formation and separation under UV irradiation.
