1Intelligent Identification of Wear Mechanism via On-line Ferrograph Images显示文摘Condition based maintenance(CBM) issues a new challenge of real-time monitoring for machine health maintenance. Wear state monitoring becomes the bottle-neck of CBM due to the lack of on-line information acquiring means. The wear mechanism judgment with characteristic wear debris has been widely adopted in off-line wear analysis; however, on-line wear mechanism characterization remains a big problem. In this paper, the wear mechanism identification via on-line ferrograph images is studied. To obtain isolated wear debris in an on-line ferrograph image, the deposition mechanism of wear debris in on-line ferrograph sensor is studied. The study result shows wear debris chain is the main morphology due to local magnetic field around the deposited wear debris. Accordingly, an improved sampling route for on-line wear debris deposition is designed with focus on the self-adjustment deposition time. As a result, isolated wear debris can be obtained in an on-line image, which facilitates the feature extraction of characteristic wear debris. By referring to the knowledge of analytical ferrograph, four dimensionless morphological features, including equivalent dimension, length-width ratio, shape factor, and contour fractal dimension of characteristic wear debris are extracted for distinguishing four typical wear mechanisms including normal, cutting, fatigue, and severe sliding wear. Furthermore, a feed-forward neural network is adopted to construct an automatic wear mechanism identification model. By training with the samples from analytical ferrograph, the model might identify some typical characteristic wear debris in an on-line ferrograph image. 2Impact of coal power generation on the characteristics and risk of heavy metal pollution in nearby soil显示文摘Introduction:The development of coal power base(CPB)poses a severe challenge to the soil.We conducted a soil survey in Xilinhot CPB,to evaluate and analyze the pollution characteristics,potential ecological risk,and sources of six heavy metals(As,Pb,Cu,Zn,Mn,and Cd)in soil by using Geo-accumulation index,revised Nemerow integrated pollution index(RNIPI),and potential ecological risk index(RI).Outcomes/other:The results showed that the pollution of Cd and As were dramatic.The mean of Cd and As were 1.11 mg·kg^(-1) and 25.13 mg·kg^(-1),which were 42.55 times and 4.41 times higher than its local background value.The Geo-accumulation indices showed the contamination degree of Cd was strong and As was moderate,and the status of Cu,Pb,Zn,and Mn were uncontaminated.Xilinhot was strongly contaminated based on its RNIPI and RI values.Discussion:The accumulations of As,Pb,and Cd were mainly associated with anthropogenic sources,including coal mining and combustion,and industrial exhaust emissions.Cu,Mn,and Zn were primarily originated from the parent material(natural sources).Conclusion:This study provides scientific basis and effective countermeasures for the prevention and control of soil pollution in surrounding areas of CPB.Yiqun Zhang Di Wu Chenxing Wang Xiao Fu Gang Wu 2020Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1:3
3Dietary ferulic acid and vanillic acid on inflammation,gut barrier function and growth performance in lipopolysaccharide-challenged piglets显示文摘Ferulic acid(FA)and vanillic acid(VA)are considered as major phenolic metabolites of cyanidin 3-glucoside,a polyphenol that widely exists in plants that possess a protective effect against oxidative stress and inflammation in our previous study.This study aimed to investigate the effect of FA and VA on inflammation,gut barrier function,and growth performance in a weaned piglet model challenged with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Thirty-six piglets(PIC 337×C48,28 d of age)were randomly allocated into 3 treatments with 6 replicate pens(2 piglets per pen).They were fed with a basal diet or a diet containing 4,000 mg/kg of FA or VA.Dietary supplementation of VA significantly increased average daily gain(ADG)(P<0.05).Both FA and VA decreased serum levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS),interlukin(IL)-1β,IL-2,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α(P<0.05),and enhanced the expression of tight junction protein oclaudin(P<0.05).Analysis of gut microbiota indicated that both FA and VA increased the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio alongside reducing the relative abundance of the Prevotellaceae family including Prevotella 9 and Prevotella 2 genera,but enriched the Lachoiraceaea family including the Lachnospiraceae FCS020 group(P<0.05).Moreover,VA reduced the relative abundance of Prevotella 7 and Prevotella 1 but enriched Lachnospira,Eubacterium eligens group,and Eubacterium xylanophilum group(P<0.05),while FA showed a limited effect on these genera.The results demonstrated that both VA and FA could alleviate inflammation and oxidative stress,but only VA has a significant positive effect on the growth performance of LPS-challenged piglets potentially through modulating gut microbiota.Ruizhi Hu Shusong Wu Baizhen Li Jijun Tan Jiahao Yan Ying Wang Zhiyi Tang Ming Liu Chenxing Fu Hongfu Zhang Jianhua He 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,1:3

7Adaptation and mitigation for combating climate change - from singletojoint显示文摘Introduction:Adaptation and mitigation are two main approaches to combating climate change.Mitigation is considered as the most important tasks in dealing with climate change in scientific res earch,financial support and technical practices as global warming intensifes;while currently the warming trend still cannot be reversed,and adaptation task seemed to gain urgency although it is late-starting.The synergies and tradeoffs of these two strategies revealed increasingly importance on reduding adverse dimate effects.Research on synergistic relationships has developed from definition and feasible analysis,to the development of quantitative tools and exploration in practice and application,though the latter aspect is still in its initial stage.Outcomes/other.Our review shows that the traits of mitigation and adaptation,the difer-ences and similarities between them,then ilustrate the significance and mechanism of their synergies and tradeoffs.And it is explained that methods and applications of single and integrated models,and cost-effectiveness analysis.Discussion/Conclusion:We hold the opinion that the future research and applications should be enhanced in terms of four aspects:reinforcement of interrelations and common mecha nisms between mitigation and adaptation actions study;building and improving the monitoring and evaluating systems;promoting departmental and regional scale investiga-tions and applications;and establishing policy and security systems.Chunli Zhao Yan Yan Chenxing Wang Mingfang Tang Gang Wu Ding Ding Yang Song 2018Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2018,4,4:1
8HACE1-mediated NRF2 activation causes enhanced malignant phenotypes and decreased radiosensitivity of glioma cells显示文摘HACE1,an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase,is frequently inactivated and has been evidenced as a putative tumor suppressor in different types of cancer.However,its role in glioma remains elusive.Here,we observed increased expression of HACE1 in gliomas related to control subjects,and found a strong correlation of high HACE1 expression with poor prognosis in patients with WHO grade III and IV as well as low-grade glioma(LGG)patients receiving radiotherapy.HACE1 knockdown obviously suppressed malignant behaviors of glioma cells,while ectopic expression of HACE1 enhanced cell growth in vitro and in vivo.Further studies revealed that HACE1 enhanced protein stability of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2)by competitively binding to NRF2 with another E3 ligase KEAP1.Besides,HACE1 also promoted internal ribosome entry site(IRES)-mediated mRNA translation of NRF2.These effects did not depend on its E3 ligase activity.Finally,we demonstrated that HACE1 dramatically reduced cellular ROS levels by activating NRF2,thereby decreasing the response of glioma cells to radiation.Altogether,our data demonstrate that HACE1 causes enhanced malignant phenotypes and decreased radiosensitivity of glioma cells by activating NRF2,and indicate that it may act as the role of prognostic factor and potential therapeutic target in glioma.Chenxing Da Jun Pu Zhe Liu Jing Wei Yiping Qu Yongxing Wu Bingyin Shi Jian Yang Nongyue He Peng Hou 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,12:1

11Radiotherapy delays malignant transformation and prolongs survival in patients with IDH-mutant gliomas显示文摘Objective:IDH-mutant lower-grade gliomas(LGGs,grade 2 or 3)eventually transform into secondary grade 4 astrocytomas(sAIDHmut/G4).Here,we sought to describe the transformation time,risk factors,and outcomes in malignant transformation of IDHmutant LGGs.Methods:We screened data for 108 patients with sAIDHmut/G4 in the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas who had initial IDH-mutant LGGs and underwent reoperation during 2005–2021.We evaluated the transformation time from IDH-mutant LGGs to sAIDHmut/G4,and associated risk factors and outcomes.Malignant transformation was defined as pathological confirmation of grade 4 astrocytoma.Results:The median age of the 108 patients with IDH-mutant LGGs was 35 years(range,19–54);the median age at transformation was 40 years(range,25–62);and the median follow-up time for all patients was 146 months(range,121–171).The average transformation time was 58.8 months for all patients with LGGs(range,5.9–208.1);63.5 and 51.9 months for grade 2 and 3 gliomas,respectively;and 58.4 and 78.1 months for IDH-mutant/1p/19q-non-codeleted astrocytomas and IDH-mutant/1p/19q-codeleted oligodendrogliomas,respectively.Univariate and multivariate analysis indicated that radiotherapy[hazard ratio(HR),0.29;95%confidence interval(CI),0.137–0.595;P=0.001]and non-A blood type(HR,0.37;95%CI,0.203–0.680;P=0.001)were protective factors against delayed malignant transformation.Radiotherapy was associated with improved survival after transformation(HR,0.44;95%CI,0.241–0.803;P=0.008),overall survival(HR,0.50;95%CI,0.265–0.972;P=0.041),and progression-free survival(HR,0.25;95%CI,0.133–0.479;P<0.0001)in patients with IDH-mutant gliomas.Conclusions:Radiotherapy is associated with delayed malignant transformation and improved survival in patients with IDHmutant gliomas.Yanwei Liu Huiyuan Chen Guanzhang Li Jing Zhang Kun Yao Chenxing Wu Shouwei Li Xiaoguang Qiu 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,10:0

16Tailoring carbon chains for repairing graphite from spent lithium-ion battery toward closed-circuit recycling显示文摘Graphite, as a strategic mineral resource, the recycling from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) has attracted considerable attention for meeting considerable economic value. However, closed-circuit recycling still suffers from the lack of effective repair methods. Considering the existing defects, a series of Cchain length carbons have been successfully introduced to repair spent graphite. Obviously, with the evolution of carbon resources, the thickness and pores of the coating layer were tailored with the functional groups. Benefitting from the increased active sites and created fold structure, their coulombic efficiency is obviously restored from 14% to 86.89%, while the stable capacity is kept at approximately 384.9 mAh gafter 100 cycles. Moreover, their excellent rate properties are kept about approximately 200 mAh gat2 C, meeting the standard of commercial materials. Supported by the detailed kinetic behaviors, the enhanced rate is mainly dominated by pseudocapacitive behaviors, accompanied by deepening redox reactions. Meanwhile, the cost of the proposed approach for recycling spent graphite is 894.87 $ t^(-1),and the recycling profit for regenerating graphite is approximately 7000 $ t^(-1).
