| 1 | Recent developments of large diameter X80 UOE line pipes显示文摘High-strength pipeline steel and large diameter line pipes are often used to increase the capacity of transportation and reduce the cost associated with the construction and operation of long-distance gas pipeline projects. China's initiatives to construct long-distance natural gas pipelines has brought in new opportunities for the development of X80 line pipes. Baosteel has designed the optimum chemical composition of X80 with high niobium and low molybdenum content. In addition,a welding experimental platform and a finite element model(FEM) have supported the development of X80 UOE pipes in an efficient and economical way. The application and recent development of X80 UOE pipes were introduced in this paper. To comply with the requirements of the Second West-East Gas Pipeline Project(2ndWEPP),X80 pipeline steel with low carbon bainite microstructure was developed by utilizing the optimized composition and TMCP process. The matching welding material,welding procedure and UOE forming processes for 1219mm outside diameter X80 UOE pipes were also developed. More than 340000 t of X80 UOE pipes were produced and applied in the 2ndWEPP. Furthermore,to meet the prospective demand for long-distance gas pipelines with an annual transportation capacity of over 40 billion m3,larger size X80UOE pipes with 1 422 mm OD × 30. 8 mm WT were trial produced recently. DWTT performance,the main technical challenge for heavier wall pipes,was improved by using optimized microstructural design. | 2 | Phytosterols in edible oil:Distribution,analysis and variation during processing显示文摘Phytosterols,which are naturally occurring in plants,have excellent nutritional and health values on lowering both the blood cholesterol level and the risk of cardiovascular diseases.Edible oils are the main source of daily intake of phytosterols,whereas the properties of phytosterols may vary a lot depending on their sources.During the processing of edible oil including refining and frying,phytosterol's content fluctuates,which influences the properties of the final product.Phytosterols and their derivatives undergo physical migration between different phases and chemical conversion during the processing,which reduces the quality and the commercial value of edible oils.Therein,the loss of phytosterols is the major concern in the process of neutralization and deodorization.In addition,oxidation and thermal degradation of phytosterols occur simultaneously during frying,which also reduces the content of phytosterols.Nevertheless,the oil matrix has a promoting or an inhibitory effect on the thermal oxidation of phytosterols.Therefore,various efforts have been devoted to analyzing and improving the remaining contents of phytosterols in edible oil.Regardless of the processing method,temperature plays an important role in the loss of phytosterols.At present,themain analysismethods of phytosterols include gas chromatography and liquid chromatography,inwhich the pretreatment of different types of phytosterols is also a crucial step.This review focused on the following topics comprehensively:(i)the distribution of phytosterols in the oil-containing plants and edible oils during the refining processing;(ii)the pretreatment and analysis methods of various phytosterols(free phytosterols,phytosteryl fatty acid esters,phytosteryl glycosides and acylated phytosteryl glycosides);(iii)the variation of phytosterols in process of esterification and oxidation,storage and so on.The study also proposed that the investigation in the loss and safety of phytosterols during processing of the vegetable oils should be proceeded further in combination with efficient and accurate chromatography methods. | Ge Bai Chuanguo Ma Xiaowei Chen | 2021 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2021,4,1: | 5 |
| 3 | Faulting, magmatism and crustal oceanization of the Okinawa Trough显示文摘The paper focuses on the characteristics of faulting and magmatism of the Okinawa Trough and the relation between them. En-echelon grabens are ranked oblique to the continental shelf edge uplift, and the Longwang uplift, the rifting block ridge in the northern segment and the 'Mianhua uplift' in the southern segment have possibly preserved characteristics of volcanism and magmatism occurring with those rifting phases. The clockwise rotation of the southern Ryukyu Islands, driven by collision between Luzon and Taiwan, has played a key role in the crustal oceanization, enhancing the crustal extension of the southern segment and inducing volcanic magmatism in those grabens, among which the Yaeyama graben is a typical example of the presence of oceanic crust. Faulting and magmatism were mainly migrating towards the island arc asymmetrically. | 4 | Modeling uniaxial tensile deformation of polycrystalline Al using CPFEM显示文摘The crystal plasticity finite element modeling(CPFEM)is realized in commercial finite element code ABAQUS with UMAT subroutine on the basis of the crystal plasticity theory of rate dependent polycrystal constitutive relations in the mesoscopic scale.The initial orientations obtained by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)are directly input into the CPFEM to simulate the mechanical response of polycrystaUine 1050 pure Al in uniaxial tensile deformation.Two polycrystal models and two tensile strain rates were used in the simulations.The stress-strain curves of tensile deformation were analyzed.The predictions and the corre- sponding experiment result show reasonable agreement and slight deviation with experiments.The flow true stress of strain rate 0.01 s^(-1)is higher than that of strain rate 0.001 s^(-1).At the strain less than 0.05,the stress saturated rate of the experiment is higher than the simulated results.However,the stress saturated rate of the experiment becomes gentler than the corresponding simulated predictions at the strain over 0.05.Also,necking was simulated by the two models,but the necking strain is not well predicted.Tensile textures at strain 0.25 were predicted at the low strain rate of 0.001 s^(-1).The predictions are in good accord with the experimental results. | Huachun pi Jingtao Han Chuanguo Zhang A. | 5 | A spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility mutation in rice enables fully mechanized hybrid breeding显示文摘Male sterility enables hybrid crop breeding to increase yields and has been extensively studied. But thermo-sensitive female sterility, which is an ideal property that may enable full mechanization in hybrid rice breeding, has rarely been investigated due to the absence of such germplasm. Here we identify the spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility 1 (tfs1) mutation that confers complete sterility under regular/high temperature and partial fertility under low temperature as a point mutation in ARGONAUTE7 (AGO7). AGO7 associates with miR390 to form an RNA-Induced Silencing Complex (RISC), which triggers the biogenesis of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) from TRANS-ACTING3 (TAS3) loci by recruiting SUPPRESSOR OF GENE SILENCING (SGS3) and RNA-DEPENDENT RNA POLYMERASE6 (RDR6) to TAS3 transcripts. These siRNAs are known as tasiR-ARFs as they act in trans to repress auxin response factor genes. The mutant TFS1 (mTFS1) protein is compromised in its ability to load the miR390/miR390* duplex and eject miR390* during RISC formation. Furthermore, tasiR-ARF levels are reduced in tfs1 due to the deficiency in RDR6 but not SGS3 recruitment by mTFS1 RISC under regular/high temperature, while low temperature partially restores mTFS1 function in RDR6 recruitment and tasiR-ARF biogenesis. A miR390 mutant also exhibits female sterility, suggesting that female fertility is controlled by the miR390-AGO7 module. Notably, the tfs1 allele introduced into various elite rice cultivars endows thermo-sensitive female sterility. | 9 | Adsorption behavior of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil显示文摘Zearalenone is a mycotoxin produced by Fusarium species.It frequently contaminates cereals used for foods or animal feeds,especially deposited in crude corn oil.Certain amounts of zearalenone can be removed during refining processes.In this study,we studied the influence of activated carbon and six industial absorbents(zeolite,diatomite,attapulgite,perlite,montmorillonite and activated clay)on the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil and explored the absorption mechanism of activated carbon.Results showed that activated carbon had an excellent adsorption capacity of zearalenone compared with the other six industrial adsorbents.For activated carbon,a high removal rate of zearalenone(exceeding 83%)from heavily zearalenone-polluted corn oil was achieved and the removal rate of zearalenone was kept above 60%after five regeneration cycles.The research on the adsorption mechanism of activated carbon showed that Freundlich adsorption isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model could well described the adsorption process.The thermodynamic study demonstrated that adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy further revealed that activated carbon was effectively combined with zearalenone viaπ-πinteraction.Thus,activated carbon is an efficient and suitable adsorbent to control the levels of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil.This study not only proposed a systematic research scheme for the mechanism study of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone in corn oil,but also provided the scientific basis for developing effective methods to eliminate zearalenone in refined vegetable oils. | Yuyuan Hu Chuanguo Ma Weifeng Huang Shujing Guo Tong Wang Jun Liu | 2023 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2023,6,1: | 1 |
