1Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine injection in treatment of primary liver cancer:a review显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Injections(TCMIs) for treatment of primary liver cancer(PLC).METHODS:A literature review was conducted using PubMed/Medline,Cochrane Library Controlled Clinical Trials Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Scientific Journal Database(CSJD) and China Biology Medicine(CBM).Online websites including journal websites and databases of ongoing trials,as well as some Traditional Chinese Medicine journals that are not indexed in the electronic databases were also searched.RESULTS:The literature review showed that TCMIs as adjunctive medication for the treatment of PLC could regulate patient immunity,reduce bone marrow suppression,relieve clinical symptoms,and improve quality of life,as well as control disease progression and prolong survival time.CONCLUSION:Within the limitations of this review,we conclude that application of TCMIs as adjunctive medication may provide benefits for patients with PLC.Further large,high-quality trials are warranted.Mouduo Li Cuixia Qiao Liping Qin Junyong Zhang Changquan Ling 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:22
2BLT1 in dendritic cells promotes Th1/Th17 differentiation and its deficiency ameliorates TNBS-induced colitis显示文摘Leukotriene B4(LTB4)synthesis is enhanced in the colonic mucosa in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).BLT1,a highaffinity receptor for LTB4,exhibits no effect on the progression of dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis,which mostly relies on innate immunity.Here,we reported that BLT1 regulates trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced colitis,which reflects CD4+T-cell-dependent adaptive immune mechanisms of IBD.We found that BLT1 signaling enhanced the progression of colitis through controlling the production of proinflammatory cytokines by dendritic cells(DCs)and modulating the differentiation of Th1 and Th17.BLT1−/−mice displayed an alleviated severity of TNBS-induced colitis with reduced body weight loss and infiltrating cells in the lamina propria.BLT1 deficiency in DCs led to reduced production of proinflammatory cytokines,including IL-6,TNF-α,and IL-12,and these results were further confirmed via treatment with a BLT1 antagonist.The impaired cytokine production by BLT1−/−DCs subsequently led to reduced Th1 and Th17 differentiation both in vitro and in vivo.We further performed a conditional DC reconstitution experiment to assess whether BLT1 in DCs plays a major role in regulating the pathogenesis of TNBS-induced colitis,and the results indicate that BLT1 deficiency in DCs also significantly reduces disease severity.The mechanistic study demonstrated that BLT1-regulated proinflammatory cytokine production through the Gαiβγsubunit-phospholipase Cβ(PLCβ)-PKC pathway.Notably,we found that treatment with the BLT1 antagonist also reduced the production of proinflammatory cytokines by human peripheral blood DCs.Our findings reveal the critical role of BLT1 in regulating adaptive immunity and TNBS-induced colitis,which further supports BLT1 as a potential drug target for adaptive immunity-mediated IBD.Jinfeng Zhou Weiming Lai Wanjie Yang Juping Pan Hu Shen Yingying Cai Cuixia Yang Ningjia Ma Yue Zhang Ru Zhang Xin Xie Zhongjun Dong Yuan Gao Changsheng Du 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,12:9
3Seasonal Variations in Phytoplankton Community Structure in the Sanggou,Ailian,and Lidao Bays显示文摘The seasonal variations in phytoplankton community structure were investigated for the Sanggou Bay(SGB) and the adjacent Ailian Bay(ALB) and Lidao Bay(LDB) in Shandong Peninsula, eastern China. The species composition and cell abundance of phytoplankton in the bay waters in spring(April 2011), summer(August 2011), autumn(October 2011), and winter(January 2012) were examined using the Utermhl method. A total of 80 taxa of phytoplankton that belong to 39 genera of 3 phyla were identified. These included 64 species of 30 genera in the Phylum Bacillariophyta, 13 species of 8 genera in the Phylum Dinophyta, and 3 species of 1 genus in the Phylum Chrysophyta. During the four seasons, the number of phytoplankton species(43) was the highest in spring, followed by summer and autumn(40), and the lowest number of phytoplankton species(35) was found in winter. Diatoms, especially Paralia sulcata(Ehrenberg) Cleve and Coscinodiscus oculus-iridis Ehrenberg, were predominant in the phytoplankton community throughout the study period, whereas the dominance of dinoflagellate appeared in summer only. The maximum cell abundance of phytoplankton was detected in summer(average 8.08 × 103 cells L-1) whereas their minimum abundance was found in autumn(average 2.60 × 103 cells L-1). The phytoplankton abundance was generally higher in the outer bay than in the inner bay in spring and autumn. In summer, the phytoplankton cells were mainly concentrated in the south of inner SGB, with peak abundance observed along the western coast. In winter, the distribution of phytoplankton cells showed 3 patches, with peak abundance along the western coast as well. On seasonal average, the Shannon-Wiener diversity indices of phytoplankton community ranged from 1.17 to 1.78(autumn > summer > spring > winter), and the Pielou's evenness indices of phytoplankton ranged from 0.45 to 0.65(autumn > spring > summer > winter). According to the results of canonical correspondence analysis, phosphate level was the major factor that limited the occurrence of P. sulcata and C. oculus-iridis, whereas optimal temperature and low salinity were responsible for Prorocentrum blooms in summer. 4Infrared measurement of temperature field in coal gas desorption显示文摘In order to reveal the temperature change in coal gas desorption process,the temperature variation in coal gas desorption process under different particle sizes is analyzed with infrared thermal imager.The infrared video signals obtained by the experiment are processed with SAT.Then the infrared radiation signals are processed by EMD with Hilbert–Huang and the infrared radiation noise is effectively removed.The research results show that the desorption process,with the change of the temperature,is an endothermic process.The coal absorbs heat when the gas is desorbed and the temperature drops.The coal body temperature drop range is obviously related to coal particle size.The smaller the particle size is,the bigger the temperature drop becomes.The temperature variation curves in the process of coal gas desorption under different particle sizes are fitted,and they comply with the exponential function.The research results lay the theoretical and experimental foundation for non-contact prediction on working face of coal and gas outburst with infrared thermal image technology.Liu Jikun Wang Cuixia He Xueqiu Li Shugang 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1:6

6NIR light-induced tumor phototherapy using ICG delivery system based on platelet-membrane-camouflaged hollow bismuth selenide nanoparticles显示文摘Near-infrared(NIR)light-triggered photothermal therapy(PTT)is a promising treatment strategy for treating cancer.The combination of nanotechnology and NIR has been widely applied.However,the therapeutic efficacy of the drug-delivery system depends on their ability to avoid phagocytosis of endothelial system,cross the biological barriers,prolong circulation life,localize and rapidly release the therapeutic at target sites.In this work,we designed a platelet membrane(PM)-camouflaged hollow mesoporous bismuth selenide nanoparticles(BS NPs)loading with indocyanine green(ICG)(PM@BS-ICG NPs)to achieve the above advantages.PM-coating has active tumor-targe ting ability which could preve nt drug leakage and provide drug long circulation,causing drug delivery systems to accumulate in tumor sites effectively.Moreover,as a type of the photothermal sensitizers,BS NPs are used as the inner cores to improve ICG stability and are served as scaffolds to enhance the hardness of this drug delivery system.For one hand,the thermal vibration of BS NPs under NIR laser irradiation causes tumor inhibition through hyperthermia.For another hand,this hyperthermia process could damage PM and let ICG rapid release from PM@BS-ICG NPs.The in vitro and in vivo results showed that this biomimetic nano-drug delivery system exhibits obvious antitumor activity which has good application prospect.Kaili Ding Cuixia Zheng Lingling Sun Xinxin Liu Yanyan Yin Lei Wang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:5

9Modeling and Prediction for the thrust on EPB TBMs under different geological conditions by considering mechanical decoupling显示文摘EPB TBMs(Earth pressure balance Tunneling Boring Machines) are extensively used in tunneling constructions because of its high efficiency and low disturbance on structures above ground. It is critically significant to predict the thrust acting on TBMs under different geological conditions for both the design of power system and the control of tunneling process. The interaction between the cutterhead and the ground is the core of excavation, through which geological conditions determine the thrust re-quirement combined with operating status and structural characteristics. This paper conducted a mechanical decoupling analysis to obtain a basic expression of the cutterhead-ground interactive stress. Then more engineering factors(such as cutterhead topological structure, underground overburden, thrusts on other parts, etc.) were further considered to establish a predicting model for the total thrust acting on a machine during tunneling. 12Hyperthermia based individual in situ recombinant vaccine enhances lymph nodes drainage for de novo antitumor immunity显示文摘The continuing challenges that limit effectiveness of tumor therapeutic vaccines were high heterogeneity of tumor immunogenicity, low bioactivity of antigens, as well as insufficient lymph nodes(LNs) drainage of antigens and adjuvants. Transportation of in situ neoantigens and adjuvants to LNs may be an effective approach to solve the abovementioned problems. Therefore, an FA-TSL/AuNCs/SV nanoplatform was constructed by integrating simvastatin(SV) adjuvant loaded Au nanocages(AuNCs)as cores(AuNCs/SV) and folic acid modified thermal-sensitive liposomes(FA-TSL) as shells to enhance de novo antitumor immunity. After accumulation in tumor guided by FA, AuNCs mediated photothermal therapy(PTT) induced the release of tumor-derived protein antigens(TDPAs) and the shedding of FATSL. Exposed AuNCs/SV soon captured TDPAs to form in situ recombinant vaccine(AuNCs/SV/TDPAs). Subsequently, AuNCs/SV/TDPAs could efficiently transport to draining LNs owing to the hyperthermia induced vasodilation effect and small particle size, achieving co-delivery of antigens and adjuvant for initiation of specific T cell response. In melanoma bearing mice, FA-TSL/AuNCs/SV and laser irradiation effectively ablated primary tumor, against metastatic tumors and induced immunological memory. 14Spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals obtained during the rupture of coal显示文摘This study was performed to investigate the spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals observed during the rupture of coal. Coal rupture micro-seismic observations were obtained on a test system that included an electro-hydraulic servo pressure tester controlled by a YAW microcomputer, a micro-seismic sensor, a loading system, and a signal collection system. The results show that the micro-seismic signal increases with increasing compressive stress at the beginning of coal rupture. The signal remains stable for a period at this stage. A large number of micro-seismic signals appear immediately before the main rupture event. The frequency of micro-seismic events reaches a maximum immediately after the coal ruptures. Micro-seismic signals were decomposed into several Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF's) by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method using a Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The main fre- quency band of the micro-seismic signals was found to range from 10 to 100 Hz in the Hilbert energy spectrum and from marginal spectrum calculations. The advantage of applying an HHT is that this can extract the main features of the signal. 15Hyaluronan arrests humanbreast cancer cell growth by prolonging the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle显示文摘In clinical breast cancer patients,quiescent disseminated tumor cells (DTCs)can persist for a long time in the bone marrow (BM)under the influence of microenvironmental cues.As a high molecular weight polysaccharide,hyaluronan (HA)not only has been shown to regulate cancer processes including cell invasion,metastasis,migration,and proliferation,but also is a major component of the BM extracellular matrix.Here,we tested whether HA promotes breast cancer cell quiescence through detecting cell proliferation,cell cycle phase distribution,and the expression of cell cyclerelated regulator proteins.In our results,HA slowed the growth and prolonged the G0/G1 phase of the highly metastatic,bone-seeking human breast cancer MDA-MB-231BO cell line,which is consistent with results that HA activated p38α/β,inhibited phospho-ERK1/2 levels and reduced the ERK/p38 signaling ratio.Additionally,we examined the crucial cell cycle factors p21^cip1 and Cyclin D1,both of which influence the transition from G1 to S phase.The results revealed that p21^cip1 expression was up-regulated by HA,which was consequently accompanied by a decrease in Cyclin D1 level.Further research with a 3D culture model indicated that HA maintained low Ki-67 and high p21^cip1 expression levels in MDA-MB-231BO cells.In summary,our work revealed that HA might contribute to DTC quiescence.Xiaoyan Chen Yan Du Yiwen Liu Yiqing He Guoliang Zhang Cuixia Yang Feng Gao 2018Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,12:2

20Interactive multi-scale structures for summarizing video content显示文摘Efficient video summarization leads to facilely exploring video content appropriate to the user's intention with low cognitive demand.In this paper,we present a novel approach for summarizing videos in the form of multi-scale structures that exhibit different video features at different scale levels and allow exploration of video contents with multi-scale interaction.The semantic relationship between structures is addressed and user intention is also considered and integrated in the summarization and interaction.This paper first introduces the concept of multi-scale structures for summarizing video content and describes three different types of structures that present important features at different scale levels.Furthermore,a continuous zooming interaction for browsing multi-scale structures is provided to facilitate video browsing.Finally,an elaborate user study is conducted showing that user performance on understanding and browsing videos is improved.WANG HongAn MA CuiXia 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,5:2
