1Numerical study of pollutant movement in waves and wave-induced long-shore currents in surf zone显示文摘Water waves,wave-induced long-shore currents and movement of pollutants in waves and currents have been numerically studied based on the hyperbolic mild-slope equation,the shallow water equation,as well as the pollutant movement equation,and the numerical results have also been validated by experimental data. It is shown that the long-shore current velocity and wave set-up increase with the increasing incident wave amplitude and slope steepness of the shore plane; the wave set-up increases with the increasing incident wave period;and the pollutant morement proceeds more quiekly with the increasing incident wave amplitude and slope steepness of the shore palane. 2Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic study of triptolide-loaded liposome hydrogel patch under microneedles on rats with collagen-induced arthritis显示文摘Triptolide(TP),a major active component of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.F.(TWHF),is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis(RA).However,it has a narrow therapeutic window due to its serious toxicities.To increase the therapeutic index,a new triptolide-loaded transdermal delivery system,named triptolide-loaded liposome hydrogel patch(TP-LHP),has been developed.In this paper,we used a micro-needle array to deliver TP-LHP to promote transdermal absorption and evaluated this treatment on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of TP-LHP in a rat model of collagen-induced arthritis(CIA).The pharmacokinetic results showed that transdermal delivery of microneedle TP-LHP yielded plasma drug levels which fit a onecompartment open model.The relationship equation between plasma concentration and time was C=303.59(e 0.064 t e 0.287t).The results of pharmacodynamic study demonstrated that TP-LHP treatment mitigated the degree of joint swelling and suppressed the expressions of fetal liver kinase-1,fetal liver tyrosine kinase-4 and hypoxia-inducible factor-1α in synovium.Other indicators were also reduced by TP-LHP,including hyperfunction of immune,interleukin-1β and interleukin-6 levels in serum.The therapeutic mechanism of TP-LHP might be regulation of the balance between Th1 and Th2,as well as inhibition of the expression and biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor.Gui Chen Baohua Hao Dahong Ju Meijie Liu Hongyan Zhao Zhongping Du Jizi Xia 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,6:10

4Changes and correlation of microorganism and flavor substances during persimmon vinegar fermentation显示文摘To investigate the microbial diversity and the change of the flavor substances during the traditional natural persimmon vinegar fermentation,two group samples from alcohol fermentation stage(A)and acetic acid fermentation stage(B)were analyzed.The results showed that Burkholderia,Lactobacillus,Acetobacter,Komagataeibacter were the main bacteria,and the major fungi were Saccharomyces,Hanseniaspora,Hortaea,and Cladosporium at the genus level.The contents of flavonoids and polyphenols in B increased by 17.91%and 26.59%compared with A,respectively.The superoxide anion scavenging activity significantly increased by 20.15%.The contents of total free amino acids were 5709.99±410.36 mg/L and 5736.16±472.02 mg/L,and the total contents of 9 organic acids were 19.89±1.20 g/L and 33.77±2.49 g/L in samples A and B,respectively.Pearson correlation analysis showed that 11 flavor compounds were related to Lactobacillus and Leuconostoc;8 and 10 compounds were respectively related to Komagataeibacter and Acetobacter;13 and 19 flavor compounds were respectively associated with Saccharomyces and Monascus.Orthogonal Partial Least Square(OPLS)model showed that the contents of Leu,Lys,and lactic acid were mainly associated with fungi,andγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)content was correlated with Lactobacillus,Acetobacter,Leuconostoc,and Saccharomyces.This study revealed the relationship between microbial diversity and flavor compounds in persimmon vinegar produced by spontaneous fermentation.The results can provide a theoretical support for the safety and health assessment of persimmon vinegar.Dahong Wang Mengyang Wang Luwei Cao Xiaotong Wang Jianrui Sun Jiangfeng Yuan Shaobin Gu 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:4
5New possible silver lining for pancreatic cancer therapy:Hydrogen sulfide and its donors显示文摘As one of the most lethal diseases,pancreatic cancer shows a dismal overall prognosis and high resistance to most treatment modalities.Furthermore,pancreatic cancer escapes early detection during the curable period because early symptoms rarely emerge and specific markers for this disease have not been found.Although combinations of new drugs,multimodal therapies,and adjuvants prolong survival,most patients still relapse after surgery and eventually die.Consequently,the search for more effective treatments for pancreatic cancer is highly relevant and justified.As a newly re-discovered mediator of gasotransmission,hydrogen sulfide(H2S)undertakes essential functions,encompassing various signaling complexes that occupy key processes in human biology.Accumulating evidence indicates that H2S exhibits bimodal modulation of cancer development.Thus,endogenous or low levels of exogenous H2S are thought to promote cancer,whereas high doses of exogenous H2S suppress tumor proliferation.Similarly,inhibition of endogenous H2S production also suppresses tumor proliferation.Accordingly,H2S biosynthesis inhibitors and H2S supplementation(H2S donors)are two distinct strategies for the treatment of cancer.Unfortunately,modulation of endogenous H2S on pancreatic cancer has not been studied so far.However,H2S donors and their derivatives have been extensively studied as potential therapeutic agents for pancreatic cancer therapy by inhibiting cell proliferation,inducing apoptosis,arresting cell cycle,and suppressing invasion and migration through exploiting multiple signaling pathways.As far as we know,there is no review of the effects of H2S donors on pancreatic cancer.Based on these concerns,the therapeutic effects of some H2S donors and NO-H2S dual donors on pancreatic cancer were summarized in this paper.Exogenous H2S donors may be promising compounds for pancreatic cancer treatment.Xu Hua Yan Xiao Jianan Sun Bao Ji Shanshan Luo Bo Wu Chao Zheng Peng Wang Fanxing Xu Keguang Cheng Huiming Hua Dahong Li 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,5:4
6The application of Hartley transform to ocean engineering显示文摘The Hartley transform is a real integral transform based on harmonic functions and hassome characteristics similar to the Fourier transform. Most applications in ocean engineering requiringthe Fourier transform can also be performed by the Hartley transform. The fast Hartley transform istwice faster and more convenient to handle than the corresponding fast Fourier transform, so it is a realvalued alternative to the complex Fourier transform in many applications. The use of the Hartley trans-form in ocean engineering is presented in detail in this paper, including wave spectral analysis, separationof waves, cross-correlation in PIV technique and expression of equation in the Hartley domain. 8Correlation between cold and hot pattern in traditional Chinese medicine and gene expression profiles in rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Clinical manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)are diversified,and based on the manifestations,the patients with RA could be classified into different patterns under traditional Chinese medicine.These patterns decide the selection of herbal prescription,and thus they can help find a subset of rheumatoid arthritis patients for a type of therapy.In the present study,we combine genome-wide expression analysis with methods of systems biology to identify the functional gene networks for the sets of clinical symptoms that comprise the major information for pattern classification.Clinical manifestations in rheumatoid arthritis were clustered with factor analysis,and two factors(similar to cold and hot patterns in traditional Chinese medicine)were found.Microarray technology was used to reveal gene expression profiles in CD4^(+)T cells from 21 rheumatoid arthritis patients.Protein-protein interaction information for these genes from databases and literature data was searched.The highly-connected regions were detected to infer significant complexes or pathways in this protein-protein interaction network.The significant pathways and function were extracted from these subnetworks using the Biological Network Gene Ontology tool.The genes significantly related to hot and cold patterns were identified by correlations analysis.MAPK signalling pathway,Wnt signaling pathway,and insulin signaling pathway were found to be related to hot pattern.Purine metabolism was related to both hot and cold patterns.Alanine,aspartate,and tyrosine metabolism were related to cold pattern,and histindine metabolism and lysine degradation were related to hot pattern.The results suggest that cold and hot patterns in traditional Chinese medicine were related to different pathways,and the network analysis might be used for identifying the pattern classification in other diseases.Miao Jiang Cheng Xiao Gao Chen Cheng Lu Qinglin Zha Xiaoping Yan Weiping Kong Shijie Xu Dahong Ju Pu Xu Youwen Zou Aiping Lu 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,2:2
9Novel Graphene Biosensor Based on the Functionalization of Multifunctional Nano-bovine Serum Albumin for the Highly Sensitive Detection of Cancer Biomarkers显示文摘A simple,convenient,and highly sensitive bio-interface for graphene field-effect transistors(GFETs) based on multifunctional nano-denatured bovine serum albumin(nano-dBSA) functionalization was developed to target cancer bio-markers.The novel graphene–protein bioelectronic interface was constructed by heating to denature native BSA on the graphene substrate surface.The formed nano-d BSA film served as the cross-linker to immobilize monoclonal antibody against car-cinoembryonic antigen(anti-CEA mAb) on the graphene channel activated by EDC and Sulfo-NHS.The nano-dBSA film worked as a self-protecting layer of graphene to prevent surface contamination by lithographic processing.The improved GFETbiosensor exhibited good specificity and high sensitivity toward the target at an ultralow concentration of 337.58 fg mL-1.The electrical detection of the binding of CEA followed the Hill model for ligand–receptor interaction,indicating the negative binding cooperativity between CEA and anti-CEA mAb with a dissociation constant of 6.82×10-10M.The multifunctional nano-dBSA functionalization can confer a new function to graphene-like 2D nanomaterials and provide a promising bio-functionalization method for clinical application in biosensing,nanomedicine,and drug delivery.Lin Zhou Kun Wang Hao Sun Simin Zhao Xianfeng Chen Dahong Qian Hongju Mao Jianlong Zhao 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2:1

14Thermoluminescence and fission track impact features of rocks显示文摘Results of thermoluminescence (TL) measurement of quartz sandstone before and after impact using a two-stage light gas gun pressure apparatus indicate that, the TL of quartz sandstone decreases as the impact pressure increases, there exists a TL gradient from the outside to the inside around the impacted area, and the induced TL at the same location also has a TL gradient. Impact experiments were conducted under pressures of 12.4, 28.9, 37.8, 51.8, 64.6 and 77.6 GPa, respectively, and fission track density and fission track length before and after the impact were measured. 17Effect of esculetin on bone metabolism in ovariectomized rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine the effect of an esculetin formulation(at 97.4% purity) on osteoporosis, and to investigate the potential underlying molecular mechanism(s).METHODS: Sixty specific pathogen free-grade female Wistar rats were randomly assigned to three groups: blank control(n = 12), sham(n = 12), and model(n = 36). The model group were bilaterally ovariectomized. The sham group had the tissue surrounding the ovaries removed, while the ovaries were retained. After 3 months, the model group was randomly divided into three subgroups: OVX(n = 12), positive control(n = 12), and esculetin(n =12). The positive control group and the esculetin group were intragastrically administered diethylstilbestrol(0.046 mgkd^(-1)), respec·kg^(-1)tively,·d^(-1)) or esculetin(384 mgg^(-1) once per day for 6 consecu··-tive days; medication administration was then stopped for 1 d, before being administered for another 6 consecutive days. All rats were treated for 3months. Samples were collected at the end of the treatment period. An Osteocore3 Digital 2D bone densitometer was used to test the bone mineral density, and histomorphometric analysis was performed to measure bone mass, bone formation,and bone resorption. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay analysis was used to measure the serum concentrations of interleukin-6(IL-6), osteoprotegerin(OPG), and receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand(RANKL). Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were performed to detect the protein and mRNA expressions of OPG and RANKL in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells.RESULTS: Compared with the OVX group, the esculetin group had significantly greater femoral bone mineral density and tibial trabecular bone volume,and significantly smaller trabecular resorption surface. The percentage of trabecular formation surface, average osteoid width, trabecular bone mineralization rate, and cortical bone mineralization rate did not significantly differ between groups. Compared with the sham group, the esculetin group had significantly decreased serum levels of IL-6and RANKL, and significant downregulation of RANKL protein and mRNA expression levels in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells; however, there was no significant difference between groups in OPG.CONCLUSION: Esculetin can increase bone mass by upregulating RANKL expression in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells, and decreasing serum IL-6 concentration. 19Tum or Necrosis Factor Expression in ArterialWallsof Diabetic Rats显示文摘Immunohistochemistry was used to detect tumor necrosis factor (TNF α) expression in arterial wall of diabetic rats. It was found that endothelial cells were swollen and markedly proliferative in these vessels and accordingly TNF α showed strong positive immunohistochemical reaction in endothelial cells or extracellular intimal matrix of such vessels, which might be caused by the expression and release of TNF α from monocytes and arterial wall cells stimulated by AGEs. 20Glacier changes in the Qaidam Basin from 1977 to 2018显示文摘Based on Landsat MSS/TM/OLI remote sensing images,glaciers vector data in the Qaidam Basin were extracted for 1977,2002,and 2018,and their spatial-temporal variations were analyzed.Results show that there were 2,050 glaciers covering an area of 1,693.54±40.96 km2 and having an ice volume of 108.65±2.43 km^3 in the Qaidam Basin in 2018.Glaciers with areas<1.0 km2 accounted for the largest number,while glaciers with areas of 1.0−5.0 km2 accounted for the most glacierized area.In the past 50 years,the number of glaciers decreased by 177,and the glacier area and volume reduced by 338.08 km2(−8.12 km^2/a)and 19.92 km3(−0.48 km^3/a),respectively.Retreat altitudes of glaciers were concentrated at 4,900−5,600 m,4,700−5,200 m,and 5,000−5,600 m and reduced areas accounted for 95.53%,77.80%,and 69.19%in the Kunlun,Qilian,and Altun mountains,respectively.The area of north-oriented glaciers decreased the most(−125.43 km^2),but the west-and east-oriented glaciers retreated at the fastest rate(i.e.,−27.11%and−27.10%).All glaciers showed a decreasing trend in sub-regions of the Qaidam Basin from 1977 to 2018.The decreasing trend was accelerated gradually from northwest to southeast in the northern part of the basin,while glacier change was the smallest in the middle section and gradually accelerated towards both ends of the basin's southern part.The temperature had continued to rise,and the precipitation had increased slowly in the Qaidam Basin during the past 50 years.The continuous rise in air temperature was the main reason for the retreat of glaciers.SuGang Zhou XiaoJun Yao Yuan Zhang DaHong Zhang Juan Liu HongYu Duan 2020Research in Cold and Arid Regions2020,12,6:1
