3A High-Sensitivity and Broad-Range SPR Glucose Sensor Based on Improved Glucose Sensitive Membranes显示文摘An improved glucose sensitive membrane(GSM)is prepared by immobilizing glucose oxidase(GOD)onto a mixture of silica mesocellular foams(SiMCFs)and SiO2 nanoparticles(SiNPs)and then trapping it in a polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)gel.The membrane is coated onto a gold-glass sheet to create a surface plasmon resonance(SPR)sensor.A series of experiments are conducted to determine the optimized parameters of the proposed GSM.For a GSM with a component ratio of SiMCFs:SiNPs=7:3(mass rate),the resonance angle of the sensor decreases from 68.57°to 63.36°,and the average sensitivity is 0.026°/(mg/dL)in a glucose concentration range of 0 mg/dL‒200 mg/dL.For a GSM with a component ratio of SiMCFs:SiNPs=5:5(mass rate),the resonance angle of the sensor decreases from 67.93°to 63.50°,and the sensitivity is 0.028°/(mg/dL)in a glucose concentration range of 0 mg/dL‒160 mg/dL.These data suggest that the sensor proposed in this study is more sensitive and has a broader measurement range compared with those reported in the literature to date.Yinquan YUAN Na YUAN Dejing GONG Minghong YANG 2019Photonic Sensors2019,9,4:2

6Effects of annealing and cold roll-bonded interface on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the embedded aluminum-steel composite sheet显示文摘Embedded aluminum-steel composite sheets used in heat exchanger were produced by cold roll bonding(CRB). The influences of annealing temperature and annealing time on the microstructure and the bonding strength of the composite sheet were investigated. The recrystallization of the steel layer began at 525℃ and finished at 600℃. With the increase of the annealing temperature, the peel strength of the composite sheet whose original steel sheet surface was treated by scratch brush initially increased and then decreased, which was resulted from the competition of the mechanical locking and metallurgical bonding. After annealing, the cracks which formed between the broken work-hardened steel surface layer and its matrix during cold roll bonding remained. The composite sheet produced by CRB with the steel surface treatment of flap disc had less interfacial defects, higher bonding quality, higher diffusion rate of Al and Fe atoms at the interface and larger metallurgical bonding extent than the composite sheet produced by CRB with the steel surface treatment of scratch brush under the same conditions of annealing,which was helpful to shorten annealing time, reduce energy consumption and improve production efficiency.Chunyang Wang Xinhua Liu Yanbin Jiang Jianxin Xie Xiaojun Zhang Dejing Zhou 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,21:2

18A Simple yet Effective Framework for Active Learning to Rank显示文摘While China has become the largest online market in the world with approximately 1 billion internet users,Baidu runs the world's largest Chinese search engine serving more than hundreds of millions of daily active users and responding to billions of queries per day.To handle the diverse query requests from users at the web-scale,Baidu has made tremendous efforts in understanding users'queries,retrieving relevant content from a pool of trillions of webpages,and ranking the most relevant webpages on the top of the res-ults.Among the components used in Baidu search,learning to rank(LTR)plays a critical role and we need to timely label an extremely large number of queries together with relevant webpages to train and update the online LTR models.To reduce the costs and time con-sumption of query/webpage labelling,we study the problem of active learning to rank(active LTR)that selects unlabeled queries for an-notation and training in this work.Specifically,we first investigate the criterion-Ranking entropy(RE)characterizing the entropy of relevant webpages under a query produced by a sequence of online LTR models updated by different checkpoints,using a query-by-com-mittee(QBC)method.Then,we explore a new criterion namely prediction variances(PV)that measures the variance of prediction res-ults for all relevant webpages under a query.Our empirical studies find that RE may favor low-frequency queries from the pool for la-belling while PV prioritizes high-frequency queries more.Finally,we combine these two complementary criteria as the sample selection strategies for active learning.Extensive experiments with comparisons to baseline algorithms show that the proposed approach could train LTR models to achieve higher discounted cumulative gain(i.e.,the relative improvement DCG4=1.38%)with the same budgeted labellingefforts.Qingzhong Wang Haifang Li Haoyi Xiong Wen Wang Jiang Bian Yu Lu Shuaiqiang Wang Zhicong Cheng Dejing Dou Dawei Yin 2024Machine Intelligence Research2024,21,1:0

20Recognition for avian influenza virus proteins based on support vector machine and linear discriminant analysis显示文摘Total 200 properties related to structural characteristics were employed to represent structures of 400 HA coded proteins of influenza virus as training samples. Some recognition models for HA proteins of avian influenza virus (AIV) were developed using support vector machine (SVM) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA). The results obtained from LDA are as follows: the identification accuracy (Ria) for training samples is 99.8% and Ria by leave one out cross validation is 99.5%. Both Ria of 99.8% for training samples and Ria of 99.3% by leave one out cross validation are obtained using SVM model, respectively. External 200 HA proteins of influenza virus were used to validate the external predictive power of the resulting model.
