| 1 | Prognostic value of systemic immune.inflammation index in patients with gastric cancer显示文摘Background:Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients.Systemic immune-inflammation index(Sll) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors.In the present study,we aimed to explore the association between Sll and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 1994 and December 2005.Preoperative Sll was calculated.The Chi square test or Fisher's exact test was used to determine the relationship between preoperative Sll and clinicopathologic characteristics.Overall survival(OS) rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method,and the effect of Sll on OS was analyzed using the Cox proportional hazards model.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to compare the predictive ability of Sll,NLR,and PLR.Results:Sll equal to or higher than 660 was significantly associated with old age,large tumor size,unfavorable Borrmann classification,advanced tumor invasion,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,advanced TNM stage,and high carcino-embryonic antigen level,high neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio,and high platelet-lymphocyte ratio(all P<0.05).High Sll was significantly associated with unfavorable prognosis(P<0.001) and Sll was an independent predictor for OS(P=0.015).Subgroups analysis further showed significant associations between high Sll and short OS in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ subgroups(all P<0.05).Sll was superior to NLR and PLR for predicting OS in patients with gastric cancer.Conclusion:Preoperative Sll level is an independent prognostic factor for OS in patients with gastric cancer. | Kang Wang Feiyu Diao Zhijun Ye Xinhua Zhang Ertao Zhai Hui Ren Tong Li Hui Wu Yulong He Shirong Cai Jianhui Chen | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,9: | 30 |
| 2 | Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. | 3 | Sorption of uranyl ions on TiO_2:Effects of pH,contact time,ionic strength,temperature and HA显示文摘Sorption of U(VI) onto TiO_2 as functions of pH, ionic strength, contact time, soil humic acid(SHA), solid-to-liquid ratio and temperature was studied under ambient conditions using batch and spectroscopic approaches. The sorption of U(VI) on TiO_2 was significantly dependent on pH and ionic strength. The presence of SHA slightly enhanced the sorption of U(VI) on TiO_2 below pH 4.0, while it inhibited U(VI) sorption in the higher pH range. U(VI)sorption on TiO_2 was favored at high temperatures, and the sorption process was estimated to be endothermic and spontaneous. Reduction of U(VI) to lower valent species was confirmed by X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy analysis. It is very interesting to find that U(VI) sorption on TiO_2 was promoted in solutions with higher back-ground electrolyte concentrations. In the presence of U(VI), higher back-ground electrolyte made more TiO_2 particles aggregate through(001) facets, leading more(101) facets to be exposed. | 5 | A novel vector of topological and structural information for amino acids and its QSAR applications for peptides and analogues显示文摘A new descriptor, called vector of topological and structural information for coded and noncoded amino acids (VTSA), was derived by principal component analysis (PCA) from a matrix of 66 topological and structural variables of 134 amino acids. The VTSA vector was then applied into two sets of peptide quantitative structure-activity relationships or quantitative sequence-activity modelings (QSARs/ QSAMs). Molded by genetic partial least squares (GPLS), support vector machine (SVM), and immune neural network (INN), good results were obtained. | 6 | Status and Opportunities of Zinc Ion Hybrid Capacitors: Focus on Carbon Materials, Current Collectors, and Separators显示文摘Zinc ion hybrid capacitors(ZIHCs), which integrate the features of the high power of supercapacitors and the high energy of zinc ion batteries, are promising competitors in future electrochemical energy storage applications. Carbon-based materials are deemed the competitive candidates for cathodes of ZIHC due to their cost-effectiveness, high electronic conductivity, chemical inertness, controllable surface states, and tunable pore architectures. In recent years, great research efforts have been devoted to further improving the energy density and cycling stability of ZIHCs. Reasonable modification and optimization of carbon-based materials offer a remedy for these challenges. In this review, the structural design, and electrochemical properties of carbon-based cathode materials with different dimensions, as well as the selection of compatible, robust current collectors and separators for ZIHCs are discussed. | 8 | Ribonuclease H-like gene SMALL GRAIN2 regulates grain size in rice through brassinosteroid signaling pathway显示文摘Grain size is a key agronomic trait that determines the yield in plants.Regulation of grain size by brassinosteroids(BRs)in rice has been widely reported.However,the relationship between the BR signaling pathway and grain size still requires further study.Here,we isolated a rice mutant,named small grain2(sg2),which displayed smaller grain and a semi-dwarf phenotype.The decreased grain size was caused by repressed cell expansion in spikelet hulls of the sg2 mutant.Using map-based cloning combined with a Mut Map approach,we cloned SG2,which encodes a plant-specific protein with a ribonuclease H-like domain.SG2 is a positive regulator downstream of GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE2(GSK2)in response to BR signaling,and its mutation causes insensitivity to exogenous BR treatment.Genetical and biochemical analysis showed that GSK2 interacts with and phosphorylates SG2.We further found that BRs enhance the accumulation of SG2 in the nucleus,and subcellular distribution of SG2 is regulated by GSK2 kinase activity.In addition,Oryza sativa OVATE family protein 19(OsOFP19),a negative regulator of grain shape,interacts with SG2 and plays an antagonistic role with SG2 in controlling gene expression and grain size.Our results indicated that SG2 is a new component of GSK2-related BR signaling response and regulates grain size by interacting with Os OFP19. | Yunshuai Huang Hui Dong Changling Mou Ping Wang Qixian Hao Min Zhang Hongmin Wu Fulin Zhang Tengfei Ma Rong Miao Kai Fu Yaping Chen Ziyan Zhu Cheng Chen Qikai Tong Zhuoran Wang Shirong Zhou Xi Liu Shijia Liu Yunlu Tian Ling Jiang Jianmin Wan | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10: | 1 |
| 9 | Responses of soil CH_(4) fluxes to nitrogen addition in two tropical montane rainforests in southern China显示文摘Background:Atmospheric nitrogen(N)deposition is projected to increase in the next few decades,which may have a marked impact on soil-atmosphere CH_(4) fluxes.However,the impacts of increased atmospheric N depositions on soil CH_(4) flux in tropical rainforests are still poorly understood.From January 2015 to December 2018,a field experiment was conducted in a primary tropical montane rainforest(PTMR)and a secondary tropical montane rainforest(STMR)in southern China to quantify the impact of N additions at four levels(N0:0 kg N⋅ha^(-1)⋅year^(-1);N25:25 kg N⋅ha^(-1)⋅year^(-1);N50:50 kg N⋅ha^(-1)⋅year^(-1);N100:100 kg N⋅ha^(-1)⋅year^(-1)on soil CH_(4) flux.Results:Four years of measurements showed clear seasonal variations in CH_(4) flux in all treatment plots for both forest types(PTMR and STMR),with lower rates of soil CH_(4) uptake during the wet season and higher rates of soil CH_(4) uptake during the dry season.Soil CH_(4) uptake rates were significantly and negatively correlated with both soil temperature and soil moisture for both forest types.Annual CH_(4) uptake for the N0 plots from the PTMR and STMR soils were2.20 and1.98 kg N⋅ha^(-1)⋅year^(-1),respectively.At the PTMR site,mean CH_(4) uptake compared with the N0 treatment was reduced by 19%,29%,and 36%for the N25,N50,and N100 treatments,respectively.At the STMR site,mean CH_(4) uptake compared with the N0 treatment was reduced by 15%,18%,and 38%for the N25,N50,and N100 treatments,respectively.High level N addition had a stronger inhibitory impact on soil CH_(4) uptake than did the low level N addition.Conclusion:Our data suggest that soil CH_(4) uptake in tropical rainforests is sensitive to N deposition.If atmospheric N deposition continues to increase in the future,the soil CH_(4) sink strength of tropical rainforests may weaken further. | Fangtao Wu Changhui Peng Chuanyao Wang Huai Chen Weiguo Liu Zhihao Liu Hui Wang Hong Li Dexiang Chen Yide Li Shirong Liu | 2022 | Forest Ecosystems2022,9,3: | 1 |

| 17 | Intercellular transfer of activated STING triggered by RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagy promotes antitumor immunity显示文摘STING,an endoplasmic reticulum(ER)transmembrane protein,mediates innate immune activation upon cGAMP stimulation and is degraded through autophagy.Here,we report that activated STING could be transferred between cells to promote antitumor immunity,a process triggered by RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagy.Mechanistically,RAB22A engages PI4K2A to generate PI4P that recruits the Atg12–Atg5–Atg16L1 complex,inducing the formation of ER-derived RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagosome,in which STING activated by agonists or chemoradiotherapy is packaged.This RAB22A-induced autophagosome fuses with RAB22A-positive early endosome,generating a new organelle that we name Rafeesome(RAB22A-mediated non-canonical autophagosome fused with early endosome).Meanwhile,RAB22A inactivates RAB7 to suppress the fusion of Rafeesome with lysosome,thereby enabling the secretion of the inner vesicle of the autophagosome bearing activated STING as a new type of extracellular vesicle that we define as R-EV(RAB22A-induced extracellular vesicle).Activated STING-containing R-EVs induce IFNβrelease from recipient cells to the tumor microenvironment,promoting antitumor immunity.Consistently,RAB22A enhances the antitumor effect of the STING agonist diABZI in mice,and a high RAB22A level predicts good survival in nasopharyngeal cancer patients treated with chemoradiotherapy.Our findings reveal that Rafeesome regulates the intercellular transfer of activated STING to trigger and spread antitumor immunity,and that the inner vesicle of non-canonical autophagosome originated from ER is secreted as R-EV,providing a new perspective for understanding the intercellular communication of organelle membrane proteins. | Ying Gao Xueping Zheng Boyang Chang Yujie Lin Xiaodan Huang Wen Wang Shirong Ding Weixiang Zhan Shang Wang Beibei Xiao Lanqing Huo Youhui Yu Yilin Chen Run Gong Yuanzhong Wu Ruhua Zhang Li Zhong Xin Wang Qiuyan Chen Song Gao Zhengfan Jiang Denghui Wei Tiebang Kang | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,12: | 1 |
