1Regulating electrolytic Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) high entropy alloy electrodes for oxygen evolution reactions in alkaline solution显示文摘The properties of high entropy alloys(HEAs)depend on their phase structures and compositions.However,it is difficult to control the composition of the HEAs that contain highly volatile metals by the conventional arc melting method.In this paper,homogeneous powdery face centered cubic(FCC)phase Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs were prepared by the electrolysis of metal oxides in molten Na_(2)CO_(3)-K_(2)CO_(3) using a stable Ni11Fe10Cu inert oxygen-evolution anode.The use of oxide precursors and relatively low synthetic temperature are beneficial to efficiently preparing HEAs that contain highly volatile elements such as Zn.Moreover,the microstructures and compositions of the electrolytic HEAs can be easily tailored by adjusting the components of oxide precursors,then further regulating its properties.Thus,the electrocatalytic activity of Fe_(0.5)Co NiCuZn_(x) HEAs towards oxygen evolution reactions(OER)was investigated in 1 M KOH.The results show that Zn promotes the OER activity of Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs,i.e.,the HEA(Zn_(0.8))shows the best OER activity exhibiting a low overpotential of 340 m V at 10 m A/cm^(2) and excellent stability of 24 h.Hence,molten salt electrolysis not only provides a green approach to prepare Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs but also offers an effective way to regulate the structure of the alloys and thereby optimizes the electrocatalytic activities for water electrolysis.Jian Huang Peilin Wang Peng Li Huayi Yin Dihua Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,34:4
2Spatial Distribution of Traditional Villages and Influence Factors in Hunan Province显示文摘To develop and protect traditional villages reasonably, this paper applied Arc GIS Spatial Analyst Tools to analyze spatial distribution and infl uence factors of 101 traditional villages in Hunan Province. The research showed the agglomerate distribution of traditional villages in Hunan; from the city scale, distribution of traditional villages was concentrated mainly in West Hunan Tujia Nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Chenzhou, Yongzhou, Huaihua and Shaoyang; concentrated distribution of traditional villages in the fi ve major geographic regions showed poor equilibrium, West Hunan had the most concentrated traditional villages, and South Hunan has the second most; relatively closed regional environment, perilous hills, inconvenient transportation, and underdeveloped social economy contributed to the protection of traditional villages, and they were all signifi cant infl uence factors for the distribution of traditional villages in Hunan.LI Bohua YIN Sha LIU Peilin DOU Yindi 2016Journal of Landscape Research2016,8,2:4
3Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Formation of Silicides and the Surface Morphologies of PtSi Films显示文摘The effect of annealing temperature on the formation of the PtSi phase. distribution of silicides and the surface morphologies of silicides films is investigated by XPS. AFM. 7Abnormal gonad development in Kit^(W-2Bao) mice caused by a Kit gene missense mutation显示文摘KitW-2Bao mice are single-gene autosomal dominant mutation mice with a B6 background that were bred in our laboratory. Heterozygotes had morphological characteristics including albinism of the abdomen, extremities, and tail, whereas the homozygotes had albinism of the body, black eyes, and infertility. The homozygous mutants showed small, structurally abnormal gonads, and lacked germ cells. Heterozygous male mice lacked germ cells in some contorted seminiferous tubules. This mutation has been mapped at 43.8 cM from the centromere in chromosome 5 by linkage analysis and Kit has been identified as the candidate gene. After Kit full-length mRNA amplification, it was found that a G to T conversion at position 1228 in the ORF changed the 410th amino acid from V to F. This amino acid change could affect the protein’s secondary structure. Heterozygous mutant mice were intercrossed and homozygous mutant mice were bred and genotyped. We found that no primordial germ cells (PGCs) appeared in the urogenital ridge area at fetus day 11.5 in the homozygotes. The number of PGCs also significantly decreased in heterozygotes. At fetus day 15.5, the differentiation of the testis tubule structure was unclear; as well, they contained no spermatogonia. Female homozygotes contained no primordial follicles in the ovary. The numbers of PGCs and primordial follicles were significantly decreased in heterozygous mice. 9Eliminating carbon contamination with improved one-step electrochemical preparation of refractory high-entropy alloy TiZrHfNbTa显示文摘Creating refractory high-entropy alloys(RHEAs)effectively without impurities is a momentous challenge.Conventional methods for the preparation of RHEAs have exacting requirements for raw material purity and energy consumption.Molten salt electrolytic oxides are applied to the preparation of HEAs by virtue of their low cost and high efficiency.However,the use of graphite anodes in electrolysis will result in the carbon contamination of the products due to the deposition of CO_(3)^(2−)at the cathode.Increasing the reaction temperature accelerates the deoxidation of the oxide,thus reducing the amount of carbide but not eliminating it.Switching HfH_(2)instead of HfO_(2)and using Nb_(2)O_(5)to shield the precursor can effectively remove carbon contamination.However,this leads to a complicated preparation process and energy waste.Herein,we use the solid oxygen ion-conducting membrane(SOM)containing graphite and Sn(named as SOM@C/Sn)anode to separate the carbon from the molten salt and prevent the circulation of CO_(3)^(2−).The pure single-phase TiZrHfNbTa RHEA can be produced in only one-step with the SOM@C/Sn anode,which completely solves the problem of carbon contamination in the molten salt electrolysis preparation of HEAs.This work provides a feasible solution for the preparation of novel complex alloys such as carbon-free RHEAs in a low-cost short process.Peng Li Jinhang Fan Kaifa Du Peilin Wang Ao Liu Huayi Yin Dihua Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,32:0
10Dual fermion condensate and phase transition in QED_3显示文摘In this paper,we investigate the behaviors of dual fermion condensate in QED 3 under variation of temperature.By means of Dyson-Schwinger equation for the fermion propagator,we extract the dual fermion condensate and compare its behavior with the ordinary chiral fermion condensate and the chiral susceptibility.It is found that the dual fermion condensate cannot be regarded as the order parameter for the confinement-deconfinement phase transition in QED 3.Furthermore,the change of the dual fermion condensate around the chiral phase transition point observed in the present work must therefore be interpreted as solely induced by the chiral transition.FENG HongTao YIN PeiLin SUN WeiMin ZONG HongShi 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6:0
11Enhancing oxide scale growth and adhesion via electrochemically regulating ion diffusion显示文摘Pre-oxidation is a common surface treatment approach to enhance the corrosion resistance of met-als,which suffers from slow ion diffusion kinetics,bad oxide scale adhesion,and weak compactness.Herein,we propose an electrochemical oxidation approach in molten carbonate to improve the oxide scale growth and adhesion via electrochemically regulating ion diffusion in the formed oxide scale.An anodic polarization applied at the metal substrate enlarges the chemical potential gradient of oxygen and offers a favorable electric field across the metal/oxide interface to the oxide scale/molten salt interface,thereby speeding up the oxide scale growth rate in terms of increasing the diffusion rate of metal cations and oxygen ions through the oxide scale.At the same time,the oxide scale adhesion is remarkedly im-proved because the metal vacancies at the oxide/alloy interface are filled by the newly formed oxide.After being treated by electrochemical oxidation,the corrosion rate of the Ni-16Fe-4Mo alloys in molten Li_(2) CO_(3)-Na_(2) CO_(3)-K_(2) CO_(3) decreased ten-fold.Overall,electrochemical oxidation enables the rapid formation of an adherent and corrosion-resistant oxide scale on the metal substrate,offering a general and effective way to fabricate corrosion-resistant films to survive in various aggressively corrosive media.Peilin Wang Kaifa Du Huayi Yin Dihua Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,27:0
12Homozygous lethality and heterozygous spotting due to a novel missense mutation in the mouse Kit gene显示文摘N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea(ENU)mutagenesis in mice can be used to study gene function in vivo and to establish genetic mouse models of human disease.In this study,a white spotted mouse(named Kit W-1Bao)was obtained by ENU-induced mutagenesis.Inheritance testing showed a single-gene dominant mutation and lethality in the Kit W-1Bao homozygous mice.The mutation was mapped to Chromosome 5 between markers D5Mit356 and D5Mit308.The region contains the Kit gene,whose mutations are known to lead to pigmentation defects in mice.Sequence analysis of the Kit cDNA from Kit W-1Bao heterozygotes revealed an A to T missense mutation resulting in an amino acid substitution of Asp(D)by Val(V)at amino acid position 849 within a highly conserved tyrosine kinase domain.The combined phenotype displayed by the Kit W-1Bao heterozygous and homozygous mutant mice demonstrates the critical function of the highly conserved aspartic acid residue at position 849 in the Kit gene product.Baojin WU Lijing YIN Xiaoshu YIN Weiwei YANG Bing CHEN Zhengfeng XUE Peilin WU 2009Current Zoology2009,55,6:0
13Mapping of genetic modifiers of Plcd1 in scant hair mice(snthr^(1Bao))显示文摘The scant hair mutant mouse(locus symbol:snthr1Bao) is a recessive mutation that originated in an ethylnitrosourea chemical carcinogenesis study using the DBA/2J inbred strain.The gene responsible for the mutation was previously determined to be phospholipase C,delta 1(Plcd1;mutant allele symbol Plcd1snthr1Bao).To map the modifiers of Plcd1,an intercross(DBA/2J-snthr1Bao/snthr1Bao × C57BL/6J+/+) was conducted.The F2 mutant progeny exhibited a variety of alopecia phenotypes;all F2 mutants(n=507) were classified into 3 groups(mild,moderate,and severe alopecia) and genotyped based on 96 microsatellites.A major QTL was identified on mouse chromosome(mChr) 15 at 12 cM with an LOD score greater than 7(P < 0.0001).Three minor QTLs were detected on mChr 2,5,and 7 at 40,84 and 48 cM,respectively.The QTLs on mChr 7 and 15 were associated with minor alopecia while the QTLs on mChr 2 and 5 were associated with moderate to severe alopecia.No antagonistic or synergistic effects among or between the 4 QTLs were found.Integrating the functions of the 4 potential regulatory QTLs and mutant Plcd1snthr1Bao,we found that these QTLs might contribute to variations of scant hair severity by altering the Ca2+ signal pathways in mouse skin.WU BaoJin ZENG YongMei MAO HuiHua YIN LiJing ZHU Jie YANG WeiWei YIN XiaoShu WU PeiLin ZHANG WeiDong 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35:0
