| 1 | Optimization of Stocking Density for the Sea Cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka, Under Feed-Supplement and Non-Feed-Supplement Regimes in Pond Culture显示文摘Optimal stocking densities were investigated for the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus Selenka under feed-supplement and non-feed-supplement regimes in net enclosures for 333 d. Substantial weight loss occurred during the aestivation phase (AE). Decreased growth rates were also observed during the winter phase (WT). In contrast, sea cucumbers showed rapid growth during the spring (SP) and autumn (AU) phases. Feeding regimes considerably influenced the growth performance, i.e., sea cucumbers grew faster under feed-supplement regime than under non-feed-supplement regime (P < 0.05). The average survival rates of sea cucumbers under feed-supplement regime were higher than those under non-feed-supplement regime for both the autumn phase and spring phase, but the differences were only significant for the latter phase (P < 0.05). | 3 | Experimental study of photooxidation products of ethylbenzene显示文摘Smog chamber experiments were performed to investigate the composition of products formed from photooxidation of aromatic hydrocarbon ethylbenzene.Vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometer and aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer were used to measure the products in the gas and particle phases in real-time.Experimental results demonstrated that ethylphenol,methylglyoxal,phenol,benzaldehyde,and 2-ethylfurane were the predominant photooxidation products in both the gas and particle phases.However,there were some dierences between detected gas phase products and those of particle phase,for example,2-ethylfurane,ethylglyoxylic acid,nitroethylbenzene,3,4-dioxopentanal and ethyl-nitrophenol were only existing in the particle-phase. | 4 | Pseudocapacitance boosted N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 nanoaggregates as promising anode materials for lithium and sodium storage显示文摘Herein,the core-shell structured N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 nano-aggregates(Fe7S8@NC)were controllably prepared via a simple three-step synthesis strategy.The appropriate thickness of N-doped carbon layer outside Fe7S8 nano-aggregates can not only inhibit the particle pulverization induced by the big volume changes of Fe7S8,but can increase the electron transfer efficiency.The hierarchical Fe7S8 nano-aggregates composed of some primary nanoparticles can accelerate the lithium or sodium diffusion kinetics.As anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs),the well-designed Fe7S8@NC nanocomposites exhibit outstanding lithium storage performance,which is better than that of pure Fe7S8,Fe3O4@NC and Fe7S8@C.Among these nanocomposites,the N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 with carbon content of 26.87 wt.%shows a high reversible specific capacity of 833 mAh·g^−1 after 1,000 cycles at a high current density of 2 A·g^−1.The above electrode also shows excellent high rate sodium storage performance.The experimental and theoretical analyses indicate that the outstanding electrochemical performance could be attributed to the synergistic effect of hierarchical Fe7S8 nanostructure and conductive N-doped carbon layer.The quantitative kinetic analysis indicates that the charge storage of Fe7S8@NC electrode is a combination of diffusion-controlled battery behavior and surface-induced capacitance behavior. | Yanli Zhou Ming Zhang Qi Wang Jian Yang Xingyun Luo Yanlu Li Rong Du Xinsheng Yan Xueqin Sun Caifu Dong Xiaoyu Zhang Fuyi Jiang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 4 |
| 5 | Horizontal and vertical gene transfer drive sediment antibiotic resistome in an urban lagoon system显示文摘Rapid urbanization has resulted in pervasive occurrence of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)in urban aquatic ecosystems.However,limited information is available concerning the ARG profiles and the forces responsible for their assembly in urban landscape lagoon systems.Here,we employed high-throughput quantitative PCR(HT-q PCR)to characterize the spatial variations of ARGs in surface and core sediments of Yundang Lagoon,China.The results indicated that the average richness and absolute abundance of ARGs were 11 and 53 times higher in the lagoon sediments as compared to pristine reference Tibetan lake sediments,highlighting the role of anthropogenic activities in ARG pollution.Co-occurrence network analysis indicated that various anaerobic prokaryotic genera belonging to Alpha-,Deltaproteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Euryarchaeota,Firmicutes and Synergistetes were the potential hosts of ARGs.The partial least squares-path modeling(PLS-PM)analysis revealed positive and negative indirect effects of physicochemical factors and heavy metals on the lagoon ARG profiles,via biotic factors,respectively.The horizontal(mediated by mobile genetic elements)and vertical(mediated by prokaryotic communities)gene transfer may directly contribute the most to drive the abundance and composition of ARGs,respectively.Furthermore,the neutral community model demonstrated that the assembly of sediment ARG communities was jointly governed by deterministic and stochastic processes.Overall,this study provides novel insights into the diversity and distribution of ARGs in the benthic habitat of urban lagoon systems and underlying mechanisms for the spread and proliferation of ARGs. | Hongjie Wang Liyuan Hou Yongqin Liu Keshao Liu Lanping Zhang Fuyi Huang Lin Wang Azhar Rashid Anyi Hu Changping Yu | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Impact of Untreated Sedimentation Tank Sludge Water Recycle on Water Quality During Treatment of Low Turbidity Water显示文摘The overall purpose of this research is to examine the impact of untreated sedimentation tank sludge water( USTSW) recycle on water quality during treatment of low turbidity water in coagulation—sedimentation processes. 950 m L of raw water and different concentrations of 50 m L USTSW are injected into six 1 000 m L beakers without coagulant.The results indicate that USTSW characterized as accumulated suspended solids and organic matter has active ingredients,which possess the equivalent function of coagulant. The optimal blended water turbidity is in the range of 10-20 NTU,within which USTSW recycle achieves the highest save coagulant rate. The mechanism of strengthening coagulation effect when USTSW recycle mainly depends on the chemical effect and physical effect. What is more,through scanning electron microscopy( SEM),it is found that the floc structures with USTSW recycle are more compact than those without USTSW recycle. | 10 | AgPdCo hollow nanospheres electrocatalyst with high activity and stability toward the formate electrooxidation显示文摘The widespread commercial application of direct formate fuel cell(DFFC)is limited by the lack of efficient electrocatalysts for the formate oxidation reaction(FOR).AgPdCo hollow nanospheres(H-NSs)with jagged surfaces are successfully synthesized via a facile method involving the wet-chemical synthesis of AgPdCo nanospheres(NSs)and galvanic replacement reaction between Pd salt and AgPdCo NSs.Surpassing Ag_(30)Pd_(69)Co_(1) NSs and most of previously reported electrocatalysts,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs exhibit extremely high FOR activity with a peak current density of 3.08 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1).Apart from the competitive activity,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs show greatly improved chronoamperometric and cycling stability,whereby the current density retains about 0.24 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1) after 3,600 s electrocatalysis and the mass activity maintains 54.06%of the initial value after 500 cycles.The unique hollow nanosphere and synergistic effect are responsible for the enhanced activity and stability.This study will provide new clues for the development of outstanding electrocatalysts. | Qiao Wang Fuyi Chen Quan Tang Longfei Guo Tao Jin Bowei Pan Junpeng Wang Zhen Li Bo Kou Weiqi Bian | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,7: | 1 |
