| 1 | A two degree of freedom stable quasi-zero stiffness prototype and its applications in aseismic engineering显示文摘In this paper, an archetypal aseismic system is proposed with 2-degree of freedom based on a smooth and discontinuous(SD)oscillator to avoid the failure of electric power system under the complex excitation of seismic waves. This model comprises two vibration isolation units for the orthogonal horizontal directions, and each of them admits the stable quasi-zero stiffness(SQZS)with a pair of inclined linear elastic springs. The equation of motion is formulated by using Lagrange equation, and the SQZS condition is obtained by optimizing the parameters of the system. The analysis shows that the system behaves a remarkable vibration isolation performance with low resonant frequency and a large stroke of SQZS interval. | 2 | Interface delamination of the thermal barrier coating subjected to local heating显示文摘To investigate the possible failure modes of the thermal barrier coating (TBC) used to protect the scramjet combustion chamber, the local heating via laser beam irradiation was utilized to simulate the service condition of high thermal flux and high temperature gradient. Firstly, the experimental method and process were described and the typical fracture morphology of the TBC under test were provided. Then, the theoretical and finite element modeling were carried out to study the temperature, deformation and stresses of the specimen when the top ceramic coat was subjected to local heating, and to demonstrate the mechanism on the failure of the TBC. It is revealed that the interface delamination shall appear and ultimately lead to the failure of the TBC under such thermal loading of local quick heating. According to the outcome of this study, the driving force of the interface delamination is influenced greatly by the key structural parameters and performance matching. | 3 | Exploration of presence/absence variation and corresponding polymorphic markers in soybean genome显示文摘This study was designed to reveal the genome‐wide distribution of presence/absence variation(PAV) and to establish a database of polymorphic PAV markers in soybean. The 33 soybean whole‐genome sequences were compared to each other with that of Williams 82 as a reference genome. A total of 33,127 PAVs were detected and 28,912 PAV markers with their primer sequences were designed as the database NJAUSoyPAV_1.0. The PAVs scattered on whole genome while only 518(1.8%) overlapped with simple sequence repeats(SSRs) in BARCSOYSSR_1.0database. In a random sample of 800 PAVs, 713(89.13%) showed polymorphism among the 12 differential genotypes. Using 126 PAVs and 108 SSRs to test a Chinese soybean germplasm collection composed of 828 Glycine soja Sieb. et Zucc. and Glycine max(L.) Merr. accessions, the per locus allele number and its variation appeared less in PAVs than in SSRs. The distinctness among alleles/bands of PCR(polymerase chain reaction) products showed better in PAVs than in SSRs, potential in accurate marker‐assisted allele selection. | 4 | A regulated digital currency显示文摘The decentralized digital currency Bitcoin is an anonymous alternative to the centralized banking system and enjoys widespread and increasing adoption. Since Bitcoin created, many other electronic currencies have been developed. We propose a protocol for an electronic currency for making anonymous payments that can be supervised by an auditor, who has sole access to the transaction history. Other electronic currencies provide only anonymity, which is convenient for making illegal transactions without regulation. For users, miners, and banks, the transactions of our electronic currency are anonymous, and only auditors can see how it is used. We make use of POW(prove-of-work) technique that allows for distributed decisionmaking within a network, namely the Bitcoin blockchain protocol. | 5 | Detecting the QTL-allele system controlling seed-flooding tolerance in a nested association mapping population of soybean显示文摘Soil flooding stress,including seed-flooding,is a key issue in soybean production in highrainfall and poorly drained areas.A nested association mapping(NAM)population comprising 230 lines of two recombinant inbred line(RIL)populations with a common parent was established and tested for seed-flooding tolerance using relative seedling length as indicator in two environments.The population was genotyped using RAD-seq(restriction site-associated DNA sequencing)to generate 6137 SNPLDB(SNP linkage disequilibrium block)markers.Using RTM-GWAS(restricted two-stage multi-locus multiallele genome-wide association study),26 main-effect QTL with 63 alleles and 12 QEI(QTL×environment)QTL with 27 alleles in a total of 33 QTL with 78 alleles(12 dual-effect alleles)were identified,explaining respectively 50.95%and 14.79%of phenotypic variation.The QTL-alleles were organized into main-effect and QEI matrices to show the genetic architecture of seed-flooding tolerance of the three parents and the NAM population.From the main-effect matrix,the best genotype was predicted to have genotypic value 1.924,compared to the parental value range 0.652–1.069,and 33 candidate genes involved in six biological processes were identified and confirmed byχ2 test.The results may provide a way to match the breeding by design strategy. | Muhammad Jaffer Ali Guangnan Xing Jianbo He Tuanjie Zhao Junyi Gai | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Effect of Substrate Movement Speed by Synchronous Rolling-casting Freeform Manufacturing for Metal on Microstructure and Mechanical Property of ZLl04 Aluminum Alloy Slurry显示文摘Synchronous rolling-casting freeform manufacturing for Metal(SRCFMM) means that the refined liquid metal is continuously pressed out from the bottom of crucible. There is a horizontal movable plate beneath the outlet. The clearance between the outlet and the plate is about several hundred micrometers. SRCFMM, similar to additive manufacturing, implies layer by layer shaping and consolidation of feedstock to arbitrary configurations, normally using a computer controlled movable plate. The primary dendritic crystal is easily crushed by movement of substrate in the rolling-casting area. ZL104 was used as the test materials, determining the control temperature by differential scanning thermal analysis(DSC), preparing a kind of samples by SR CFMM, then analyzing microstructures and mechanical property of the samples. Characteristics and distribution of the primary particles were assessed by optical microscopy(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectrum(EDS) and image analysis software. Mechanical property of the samples was assessed by vickers hardness. | 7 | Investigation on laser cladding of MoSi_2 powder on steel显示文摘The feasibility of the fabrication of coatings for elevated-temperature structural applications by laser cladding MoSi2 pow- der on steel was investigated. A dense and crack-free fine coating, well-bonded with the substrate has been obtained by this technique. This coating consists of FeMoSi, Fe2Si and a small amount of Mo5Si3 due to dilution of the substrate in the coating. The microstruc- ture of the coating is characterized of typical fine dendrites. The dendrites are composed of FeMoSi primary phase, and the interden- dritic areas are two eutectic phases of FeMoSi and Fe2Si. | 8 | Dual Control of Depositional Facies on Uranium Mineralization in Coal-bearing Series: Examples from the Tuanyushan Area of the Northern Qaidam Basin, NW China显示文摘The uranium deposits in the Tuanyushan area of northern Qaidam Basin commonly occur in coal-bearing series. To decipher the U-enrichment mechanism and controlling factors in this area, a database of 72 drill cores, including 56 well-logs and 3 sampling wells, was examined for sedimentology and geochemistry in relation to uranium concentrations. The results show that coal-bearing series can influence uranium mineralization from two aspects, i.e., spatial distribution and dynamic control. Five types of uranium-bearing rocks are recognized, mainly occurring in the braided river and braided delta sedimentary facies, among which sandstones near the coals are the most important. The lithological associations of sandstone-type uranium deposits can be classified into three subtypes, termed as U-coal type, coal-U-coal type, and coal-U type, respectively. The coal and fine siliciclastic rocks in the coalbearing series confined the U-rich fluid flow and uranium accumulation in the sandstone near them. Thus, the coal-bearing series can provide good accommodations for uranium mineralization. Coals and organic matters in the coal-bearing series may have served as reducing agents and absorbing barriers. Methane is deemed to be the main acidolysis hydrocarbon in the U-bearing beds, which shows a positive correlation with U-content in the sandstones in the coal-bearing series. Additionally, the δ13 C in the carbonate cements of the U-bearing sandstones indicates that the organic matters, associated with the coal around the sandstones, were involved in the carbonation, one important component of alteration in the Tuanyushan area. | 10 | Controllable generation of large-scale highly regular gratings on Si films显示文摘The application of femtosecond laser-induced periodic surface texturing has significant potential in medicine,optics,tribology,and biology,among other areas.However,when irradiated by a large intense laser spot,the periodic structures usually exhibit an uncontrollable regularity,forming bifurcated patterns,thus limiting their widespread application.Irregularity originates from numerous independent branching seeds.The usual solution to this problem is to utilize the quasi-direct laser writing technique,that is,by limiting the laser beam size(diameter of<10 wavelengths)and scanning the beam or samples using 2D translation stages.Herein,we demonstrate an optical localization-induced nonlinear competition mechanism to solve this problem,which occurs at a fluence nearly one order of magnitude below the ablation threshold.Owing to the low intrinsic absorption of silicon and ultralow applied fluence,this mechanism ensures the self-selection of a single seed to initiate an array of bifurcated-free gratings under stationary irradiation with a large laser spot(diameter>100 wavelengths).Surprisingly,some unconventional complex patterns,such as radial,annular,and spiral gratings,can also be easily produced by structured light fields with unprecedented regularity.Their diameters reach up to>500μm.Moreover,we can artificially control the initial seeding structure to further improve the regularity of the gratings,defined by dispersion in the ripple orientation angle in their 2D Fourier transform.As a result,the regularity in our experiments produced by a large laser spot is even higher than that scanned by a tiny beam.Controllable and highly regular ripples are beneficial to the structural coloring effects because they arise from the light diffraction by subwavelength gratings. | Jiao Geng Xiaoguo Fang Lei Zhang Guangnan Yao Liye Xu Fengjiang Liu Weiwei Tang Liping Shi Min Qiu | 2021 | Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2021,2,3: | 2 |
| 11 | R_(SC3)K of soybean cv. Kefeng No.1 confers resistance to soybean mosaic virus by interacting with the viral protein P3显示文摘Soybean mosaic virus(SMV) is one of the most devastating viral pathogens of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr). In total, 22 Chinese SMV strains(SC1–SC22) have been classified based on the responses of 10 soybean cultivars to these pathogens. However, although several SMVresistance loci in soybean have been identified, no gene conferring SMV resistance in the resistant soybean cultivar(cv.) Kefeng No.1 has been cloned and verified. Here, using F_(2)-derived F_(3)(F_(2:3)) and recombinant inbred line(RIL) populations from a cross between Kefeng No.1 and susceptible soybean cv. Nannong 1138-2, we localized the gene in Kefeng No.1 that mediated resistance to SMV-SC3 strain to a 90-kb interval on chromosome 2. To study the functions of candidate genes in this interval, we performed Bean pod mottle virus(BPMV)-induced gene silencing(VIGS). We identified a recombinant gene(which we named R_(SC3)K) harboring an internal deletion of a genomic DNA fragment partially flanking the LOC100526921 and LOC100812666 reference genes as the SMV-SC3 resistance gene.By shuffling genes between infectious SMV DNA clones based on the avirulent isolate SC3 and virulent isolate 1129, we determined that the viral protein P3 is the avirulence determinant mediating SMV-SC3 resistance on Kefeng No.1. P3 interacts with RNase proteins encoded by R_(SC3)K, LOC100526921, and LOC100812666. The recombinant R_(SC3)K conveys much higher anti-SMV activity than LOC100526921 and LOC100812666, although those two genes also encode proteins that inhibit SMV accumulation, as revealed by gene silencing in a susceptible cultivar and by overexpression in Nicotiana benthamiana. | 14 | AVO Character Research of Natural Gas Hydrates in the East China Sea显示文摘Natural gas hydrates are considered as strategic resources with commercial potential in the 21st century. Obvious BSR characteristics will be shown on seismic profiles, if there exist natural gas hydrates. The AVO method is one of the methods which can be used to identify and forecast lithologic characteristics and fluid properties by using the relationship between Amplitude and Offset. AVO anomaly is one of the significant signs to check out whether or not there is free gas below the BSR, so it can be used to detect natural gas hydrates from the seismic profile. Considering the geological and geophysical characteristics of the Okinawa Trough and making use of the techniques mentioned above, we can conclude that the conditions there are favorable for the formation and concentration of natural gas hydrates. By analyzing the data collected from the study area, one can discover many different anomalous phenomena on the seismic profile which are related to the existence of natural gas hydrates. | 15 | Differential SW16.1 allelic effects and genetic backgrounds contributed to increased seed weight after soybean domestication显示文摘Although seed weight has increased following domestication from wild soybean(Glycine soja) to cultivated soybean(Glycine max), the genetic basis underlying this change is unclear. Using mapping populations derived from chromosome segment substitution lines of wild soybean, we identified SW16.1 as the causative gene underlying a major quantitative trait locus controlling seed weight.SW16.1 encodes a nucleus-localized LIM domaincontaining protein. Importantly, the GsSW16.1 allele from wild soybean accession N24852 had a negative effect on seed weight, whereas the GmSW16.1 allele from cultivar NN1138-2 had a positive effect. Gene expression network analysis,reverse-transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and promoter-luciferase reporter transient expression assays suggested that SW16.1 regulates the transcription of MT4, a positive regulator of seed weight. The natural variations in SW16.1 and other known seed weight genes were analyzed in soybean germplasm. The SW16.1 polymorphism was associated with seed weight in 247 soybean accessions, showing much higher frequency of positive-effect alleles in cultivated soybean than in wild soybean. Interestingly,gene allele matrix analysis of the known seed weight genes revealed that G. max has lost 38.5%of the G. soja alleles and that most of the lost alleles had negative effects on seed weight. | 16 | Genome-wide signatures of the geographic expansion and breeding of soybean显示文摘Soybean is a leguminous crop that provides oil and protein. Exploring the genomic signatures of soybean evolution is crucial for breeding varieties with improved adaptability to environmental extremes. We analyzed the genome sequences of 2,214 soybeans and proposed a soybean evolutionary route, i.e., the expansion of annual wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.) from southern China and its domestication in central China, followed by the expansion and local breeding selection of its landraces(G. max(L.) Merr.). We observed that the genetic introgression in soybean landraces was mostly derived from sympatric rather than allopatric wild populations during the geographic expansion. Soybean expansion and breeding were accompanied by the positive selection of flowering time genes, including GmSPA3c.
