| 1 | Special Section:SARS-CoV-2 Preliminary evidence from a multicenter prospective observational study of the safety and efficacy of chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19显示文摘Effective therapies are urgently needed for the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.Chloroquine has been proved to have antiviral effect against coronavirus in vitro.In this study,we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of chloroquine with different doses in COVID-19.In this multicenter prospective observational study,we enrolled patients older than 18 years old with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection excluding critical cases from 12 hospitals in Guangdong and Hubei Provinces.Eligible patients received chloroquinephosphate s00 mg,orally,once(half dose)or twice(full dose)daily.Patients treated with non-chloroquine therapy were included as historical controls.The primary endpoint is the time to undetectable viral RNA.Secondary outcomes include the proportion of patients with undetectable viral RNA by day 10 and 14,hospitalization time,duration of fever,and adverse events.A total of 197 patients completed chloroquine treatment,and 176patients were included as historical controls.The median time to achieve an undetectable viral RNA was shorter in chloroquine than in non-chloroquine(absolute difference in medians-6.0 days;95%CI-6.0 to—4.0).The duration of fever is shorter in chloroquine(geometric mean ratio 0.6;95%CIO.5 to 0.8).No serious adverse events were observed in the chloroquine group.Patients treated with half dose experienced lower rate of adverse events than with full dose.Although randomized trials are needed for further evaluation,this study provides evidence for safety and efficacy of chloroquine in COVID-19 and suggests that chloroquine can be a cost-effective therapy for combating the COVID-19 pandemic. | Mingxing Huang Man Li Fei Xiao Pengfei Pang Jiabi Liang Tiantian Tang Shaoxuan Liu Binghui Chen Jingxian Shu Yingying You Yang Li Meiwen Tang Jianhui Zhou Guanmin Jiang Jingfen Xiang Wenxin Hong Songmei He Zhaoqin Wang Jianhua Feng Changqing Lin Yinong Ye Zhilong Wu Yaocai Li Bei Zhong Ruilin Sun Zhongsi Hong Jing Liu Huili Chen Xiaohua Wang Zhonghe Li Duanqing Pei Lin Tian Jinyu Xia Shanping Jiang Nanshan Zhong Hong Shan | 2020 | National Science Review2020，7，9： | 20 |
| 2 | Determination of Taurine in Biological Samples by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Using 4-Fluoro-7-Nitrobenzofurazan as a Derivatizing Agent显示文摘Objective A highly sensitive and rapid high‐performance liquid chromatography method with pre‐column derivatization with 4‐fluoro‐7‐nitrobenzofurazan was developed for determination of taurine in biological samples,including plasma,brain,and liver.Methods The optimum derivatization reaction temperature was 70℃,and at this temperature the reaction was complete within 3 min.The derivatized taurine was separated using phosphate buffer (0.02 mol/L,pH 6.0):acetonitrile (84:16,v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,and a column temperature of 25℃.The taurine derivatives were separated within 20 min (tR:14.5 min) and fluorometrically detected at 530 nm with excitation at 470 nm.Results The intra‐ and the inter‐day coefficients of variation for the method were 5.3% and 7.7%,respectively.The calibration curve was linear from 0.1 μmol/L to 30.0 μmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9995.Conclusion This method can be used to determine the taurine contents in plasma,brain,and liver from normal rats and human plasma. | WANG XiFeng CHI DeFeng SU GuanMin LI Lin SHAO LiHua | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011，24，5： | 13 |

| 5 | Increase in root density induced by coronatine improves maize drought resistance in North China显示文摘Drought stress caused by insufficient irrigation or precipitation impairs agricultural production worldwide.In this study,a two-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of coronatine(COR),a functional analog of jasmonic acid(JA),on maize drought resistance.The experiment included two water treatments(rainfed and irrigation),four COR concentrations(mock,0μmol L^(-1);A1,0.1μmol L^(-1);A2,1μmol L^(-1);A3,10μmol L^(-1))and two maize genotypes(Fumin 985(FM985),a drought-resistant cultivar and Xianyu 335(XY335),a drought-sensitive cultivar).Spraying 1μmol L^(-1)COR at seedling stage increased surface root density and size,including root dry matter by 12.6%,projected root area by 19.0%,average root density by 51.9%,and thus root bleeding sap by 28.2%under drought conditions.COR application also increased leaf area and SPAD values,a result attributed to improvement of the root system and increases in abscisic acid(ABA),JA,and salicylic acid(SA)contents.The improvement of leaves and roots laid the foundation for increasing plant height and dry matter accumulation.COR application reduced anthesis and silking interval,increasing kernel number per ear.COR treatment at 1μmol L^(-1)increased the yield of XY335 and FM985 by 7.9%and 11.0%,respectively.Correlation and path analysis showed that grain yields were correlated with root dry weight and projected root area,increasing maize drought resistance mainly via leaf area index and dry matter accumulation.Overall,COR increased maize drought resistance mainly by increasing root dry weight and root area,with 1μmol L-^(-1)COR as an optimal concentration. | Yuling Guo Guanmin Huang Qing Guo Chuanxi Peng Yingru Liu Mingcai Zhang Zhaohu Li Yuyi Zhou Liusheng Duan | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023，11，1： | 1 |
