| 3 | Parameterization for fitting triangular mesh显示文摘In recent years, with the development of 3D data acquisition equipments, the study on reverse engineering has become more and more important. However, the existing methods for parameterization can hardly ensure that the parametric domain is rectangular, and the parametric curve grid is regular. In order to overcome these limitations, we present a novel method for parameterization of triangular meshes in this paper. The basic idea is twofold: first, because the isotherms in the steady temperature do not intersect with each other, and are distributed uniformly, no singularity (fold-over) exists in the parameterization; second, a 3D harmonic equation is solved by the finite element method to obtain the steady temperature field on a 2D triangular mesh surface with four boundaries. Therefore, our proposed method avoids the embarrassment that it is impossible to solve the 2D quasi-harmonic equation on the 2D triangular mesh without the parametric values at mesh vertices. Furthermore, the isotherms on the temperature field are taken as a set of iso-parametric curves on the triangular mesh surface. The other set of iso-parametric curves can be obtained by connecting the points with the same chord-length on the isotherms sequentially. | 4 | Preparation of P(St-NMA)microsphere inks and their application in photonic crystal patterns with brilliant structural colors显示文摘Patterned photonic crystals with structural colors on textile substrates have attracted a special attention due to the great advantages in application,which currently become a research hot-spot.This study utilized an ink-jet printing technology to prepare high-quality photonic crystal patterns with structural colors on polyester substrates.The self-assembly temperature of poly(styrene-N-methylol acrylamide)(P(St-NMA))microspheres set to construct photonic crystals were deeply optimized.Moreover,the structural colors of prepared photonic crystal patterns were characterized and evaluated.When the mass fraction of P(St-NMA)microspheres was 1.0 wt.%,the pH value ranged from 5 to 7,and the surface tension was in the range of 63.79 to 71.20 mN/m,inks could present the best print performance.At 60°C,prepared P(St-NMA)microsphere inks were good for printing to obtain patterned photonic crystals with regular arrangement and beautiful structural colors.Specifically,photonic crystals with different colors could be constructed by regulating the diameter of microspheres in inks,and prepared structural colors exhibited distinct iridescent phenomenon.The present results could provide a theoretical basis for the industrial realization of patterned photonic crystals by ink-jet printing technology. | Guojin Liu Pengshuai Han Liqin Chai Peng Lu Yuping He Lan Zhou | 2020 | Frontiers of Materials Science2020,14,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Triangulation of red sprites observed above a mesoscale convective system in North China显示文摘The triangulation of red sprites was obtained, based on concurrent observations over a mesoscale convective system(MCS) in North China from two stations separated by about 450 km. In addition, broadband sferics from the sprite-producing lightning were measured at five ground stations, making it possible to locate and identify the individual causative lightning discharges for different elements in this dancing sprite event. The results of our analyses indicate that the sprites were produced above the trailing stratiform region of the MCS, and their parent strokes were located mainly in the peripheral area of the stratiform. The lateral offset between sprites and causative strokes ranges from a few km to more than 50 km. | 19 | Comprehensive phylogenetic analyses of Orchidaceae using nuclear genes and evolutionary insights into epiphytism显示文摘Orchidaceae(with>28,000 orchid species)are one of the two largest plant families,with economically and ecologically important species,and occupy global and diverse niches with primary distribution in rainforests.Among orchids,70%grow on other plants as epiphytes;epiphytes contribute up to~50%of the plant diversity in rainforests and provide food and shelter for diverse animals and microbes,thereby contributing to the health of these ecosystems.Orchids account for over two-thirds of vascular epiphytes and provide an excellent model for studying evolution of epiphytism.Extensive phylogenetic studies of Orchidaceae and subgroups have;been crucial for understanding relationships among many orchid lineages,although some uncertainties remain.For example,in the largest subfamily Epidendroideae with nearly all epiphytic orchids,relationships among some tribes and many subtribes are still controversial,hampering evolutionary analyses of epiphytism.Here we obtained 1,450 low-copy nuclear genes from 610 orchid species,including 431 with newly generated transcriptomes,and used them for the reconstruction of robust Orchidaceae phylogenetic trees with highly supported placements of tribes and subtribes.We also provide generally wellsupported phylogenetic placements of 131 genera and 437 species that were not sampled by previous plastid and nuclear phylogenomic studies.Molecular clock analyses estimated the Orchidaceae origin at~132 million years ago(Ma)and divergences of most subtribes from 52 to 29 Ma.Character reconstruction supports at least 14 parallel origins of epiphytism;one such origin was placed at the most recent common ancestor of~95%of epiphytic orchids and linked to modern rainforests.Ten occurrences of rapid increase in the diversification rate were detected within Epidendroideae near and after the K-Pg boundary,contributing to~80%of the Orchidaceae diversity.This study provides a robust and the largest family-wide Orchidaceae nuclear phylogenetic tree thus far and new insights into the evolution of epiphytism in vascular plants. | Guojin Zhang Yi Hu Ming-Zhong Huang Wei-Chang Huang Ding-Kun Liu Diyang Zhang Haihua Hu Jason L.Downing Zhong-Jian Liu Hong Ma | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,5: | 0 |
| 20 | Fourth-order cumulant multiple matrix reconstruction to estimate direction of arrival for coherent sound source under low signal-to-noise ratio显示文摘To address the problem of energy diffusion in the subspace of coherent sources and the difficulty of estimating the direction of arrival(DOA)with an under-ranked covariance matrix,an estimation method using a higher-order matrix transformation,i.e.the fourth-order cumulant multiple matrix reconstruction(FOC-MMR),is proposed.Firstly,short-time Fourier transform is performed on the array sound pressure data in frames.Then,the singular value decomposition of the fourth-order cumulant-expanded higher-order covariance matrix is computed to obtain the higher-order noise eigenvectors,which is guaranteed to orthogonally match with the expanded high-order array manifold vector.Finally,DOA estimation of the coherent signals is achieved.The simulation results of the coherent single-frequency rectangular pulse signal show that applying the FOC-MMR method to a uniform linear array(ULA,M=4),for coherent signals(θ_(1)=-20°andθ_(2)=20°)with signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)-15 dB,the root mean square error of the estimated DOA is kept within 1.5°.When SNR=10 dB,the azimuthal interval of the two coherent signals can be correctly resolved down to 5°.Furthermore,the FOC-MMR algorithm to a rectangular area array consisting of multiple ULAs and its ability to discriminate adjacent sources and suppress Gaussian noise is verified in the experiment in which coherent pulsed sound sources are mixed with SNR=5 dB Gaussian white noise.The FOC-MMR algorithm not only solves the problem of energy diffusion between noise and signal eigenvectors caused by signal coherence by expanding the sound pressure array data to obtain a full-rank high-order covariance matrix,but also achieves DOA estimation of multiple coherent sound sources incident at wide angles with high directional accuracy and spatial resolution. | ZHANG Hao ZHEN Dong LIU Yinghui FENG Guojin ZHANG Hao | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2023,42,3: | 0 |
