| 1 | Identification of coastal wetlands of international importance for waterbirds:a review of China Coastal Waterbird Surveys 2005–2013显示文摘Background:China's coastal wetlands belong to some of the most threatened ecosystems worldwide.The loss and degradation of these wetlands seriously threaten waterbirds that depend on wetlands.Methods:The China Coastal Waterbird Census was organized by volunteer birdwatchers in China's coastal region.Waterbirds were surveyed synchronously once every month at 14 sites,as well as irregularly at a further 18 sites,between September 2005 and December 2013.Results:A total of 75 species of waterbirds met the 1 % population level Ramsar listing criterion at least once at one site.The number of birds of the following species accounted for over 20 % of the total flyway populations at a single site:Mute Swan(Cygnus olor),Siberia Crane(Grus leucogeranus),Far Eastern Oystercatcher(Haematopus osculans),Bar-tailed Godwit(Limosa lapponica),Spotted Greenshank(Tringa guttifer),Great Knot(Calidris tenuirostris),Spoon-billed Sandpiper(Calidris pygmeus),Saunders' s Gull(Larus saundersi),Relict Gull(Larus relictus),Great Cormorant(Phalacrocorax carbo),Eurasian Spoonbill(Platalea leucorodia),Black-faced Spoonbill(Platalea minor) and Dalmatian Pelican(Pelecanus crispus).A total of 26 sites supported at least one species of which their number met the1 % criterion.Forty-two species met the 1 % criterion in the Yellow River Delta,Shandong;29 at the Cangzhou coast,Hebei and 26 species at the Lianyungang coast,Jiangsu.Conclusions:The results highlight the international importance of China's coastal wetlands for waterbirds.This study also demonstrates that participation of local birdwatchers in waterbird surveys results in data that are invaluable not only for understanding the current status of waterbirds in China's coastal regions but also for waterbird conservation and management. | Qingquan Bai Jianzhong Chen Zhihong Chen Guotai Dong Jiangtian Dong Wenxiao Dong Vivian Wing Kan Fu Yongxiang Han Gang Lu Jing Li Yang Liu Zhi Lin Derong Meng Jonathan Martinez Guanghui Ni Kai Shan Renjie Sun Suixing Tian Fengqin Wang Zhiwei Xu Yat-tung Yu Jin Yang Zhidong Yang Lin Zhang Ming Zhang Xiangwu Zeng | 2015 | Chinese Birds2015,,3: | 20 |
| 2 | Clocking Effect in a Two-Stage Compressor with Different Inter-Blade-Row Gaps显示文摘A multi-stage axial compressor has inherently unsteady flow fields because of the following main reasons: (1) relative positions between rotor and stator airfoil; (2) the buildup of converted wakes lead to complex wake/wake and wake/airfoil interactions. The distributions of the potential flows and wakes in the flow passage are depended on the relative positions of blade rows in axial and circumference direction, so variations in the relative axial positions (axial gap) and circumferential positions (clocking effect) of stators or rotors can change these distributions, leading to different compressor efficiency. The current study presents the experimental/numerical result of a low-speed axial compressor, considering the combined effects of stator clocking and variation of axial gaps. Testing was conducted in Two-Stage Axial Compressor Facility in Harbin Institute of Technology. In the test, time averaged data were collected. The results of experimental and time accurate flow calculation for 2 axial gaps, 8 clocking positions for each gap are compared. | 3 | Application of the condenser lens in microwave hyperthermia显示文摘According to the aplanatism theory,lens can be used to focus the electromagnetic wave. A plano-convex hyperboloid of revolution lens made of low loss material is designed for combinatorial applications with the rectangle microstrip applicator in microwave hyperthermia. Results of the extensive simulations and experiments show that the introduction of the lens to the clinical used antenna can significantly improve the directivity and hence increase the microwave power density in near field. In microwave hyperthermia applications,the lens antenna will exhibit superior directivity,high gain and well thermal efficiency for tumor in superficial layer. Based on the analysis of these data, the variations of atmospheric compositions in solar and geomagnetic quiet conditions are reported first, then a detailed discussion on the atmospheric composition variations under the so lar and geomagnetic disturbed conditions is given. The results show that near the altitude of 400 km the variations of main atmospheric compositions corre sponding to solar disturbances are more remarkable in the sunlit area than in the shade area. | 5 | Colossal magnetoresistance and spin-glass properties of La(1-x)TexMnO3(x=0.04,0.1)显示文摘For the first time, a novel material of La1-x- TexMnO3 (x = 0.04, 0.1), in which the La ions are replaced by the nonmetal element Te in the Chalcogen, has been synthesized. The material has a rhombohedral lattice with the space group of R3c, and Te ions have a tetravalence state. The curves of the resistivity vs. temperature indicate that this material has the property of a metal-semiconductor transition and the colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect. The maximum magnetoreistance ratio MR=[(0)()]/(0)H? is about 51% at 4 T for x = 0.1. | 14 | Study on topology and vortex structure in a diffusion cascade显示文摘To further make clear vortex structures in diffusion cascades so as to help understand the mechanisms of vortex affecting loss production, the emergence, evolution and development of secondary flow vortexes, including horse shoe vortex, passage vortex and corner vortex and so on, were discussed mainly through using the topological analysis method and numerical calculation. The concept of a three-dimensional dividing surface between the low energy flow zone and the exterior flow zone was presented. The results show that concentrated shed vortex is located outside the dividing surface (in the outer flow zone) and horse shoe vortex, passage vortex and corner vortex are inside the dividing surface (in the low energy flow zone). Dissipation function is used to measure loss production instead of using entropy production. | 18 | Cardiovascular Automatic Feedback Control Instrument for Rescuing Critical Patients With Abnormal Blood Pressure显示文摘Objectives Most medical in-struments are designed for diagnosis purpose but very few for clinical treatment. Our research aim is to design and develop a cardiovascular automatic feedback control instrument (CAFCI) for rescuing the critical patients with abnormal blood pressure. Methods The CAFCI was designed on the basis of abundant clinical experiences and on successful mathematic modeling of our experimental data. The blood pressure, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, and rates of heart beat were measured and inputted into a computer and drugs were chosen by a doctor through a user-friendly interface with the computer. The responses to medication were rapidly acquired and feed back to the computer by automatic detection system in a close-loop system. The data were refreshed every 7.5 sec in order to regulate the speed and dosage of the medications that were given. Results The experimental results with ten dogs showed that the CAFCI system took samples promptly and accurately so that the targeted blood pressure could be reached reliably based on our input parameters and our designing requirements. | 19 | The impact of fear effect on the dynamics of a delayed predator-prey model with stage structure显示文摘In this paper,a stage structure predator-prey model consisting of three nonlinear ordinary differential equations is proposed and analyzed.The prey populations are divided into two parts:juvenile prey and adult prey.From extensive experimental data,it has been found that prey fear of predators can alter the physiological behavior of individual prey,and the fear effect reduces their reproductive rate and increases their mortality.In addition,we also consider the presence of constant ratio refuge in adult prey populations.Moreover,we consider the existence of intraspecific competition between adult prey species and predator species separately in our model and also introduce the gestation delay of predators to obtain a more realistic and natural eco-dynamic behaviors.We study the positivity and boundedness of the solution of the non-delayed system and analyze the existence of various equilibria and the stability of the system at these equilibria.Next by choosing the intra-specific competition coeficient of adult prey as bifurcation parameter,we demonstrate that Hopf bifurcation may occur near the positive equilibrium point.Then by taking the gestation delay as bifurcation parameter,the suficient conditions for the existence of Hopf bifurcation of the delayed system at the positive equilibrium point are given.And the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the periodic solution are analyzed by using the center manifold theorem and normal form theory.What's more,numerical experiments are performed to test the theoretical results obtained in this paper. | Qi Cao Guotai Chen Wensheng Yang | 2023 | International Journal of Biomathematics2023,16,8: | 0 |
| 20 | Construction of PdS@MIL-125-NH_(2)@ZnS type-Ⅱ heterostructure with efficient charge separation for boosted photocatalytic hydrogen evolution显示文摘A new photocatalyst,PdS@NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)@ZnS(PdS/M125/ZnS)heterojunction is fabricated for photo-catalytic H_(2)generation for the first time,where PdS nanoparticles are anchored in the pore of M125 by utilizing its confinement effect,and the ZnS is closely wrapped on the surfaces of the MOFs.The optimal photocatalyst exhibits a significantly enhanced H_(2)generation rate of 1164.2μmol/g/h,while the pure M125 only displays a H_(2)generation rate of 16.7μmol/g/h.The resultant improvement can be ascribed to the following comprehensive advantages.The hierarchical structure built by PdS,M125,and ZnS can form lots of intimate interfaces,offer abundant sites for reaction,and smooth channels for charge carri-ers due to the porous characteristics of MOFs.Moreover,M125 and ZnS with inner defect levels form an analogous type-II heterojunction assisted by PdS co-catalyst,which greatly promotes charge separation.This work may supply a new avenue to design MOFs photocatalysts for energy conversion. | Zige Tai Guotai Sun Ting Wang Zhihui Li Jinge Tai | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,14: | 0 |
