1A Kelch Motif-Containing Serine/Threonine Protein Phosphatase Determines the Large Grain QTL Trait in Rice显示文摘A thorough understanding of the genetic basis of rice grain traits is critical for the improvement of rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties.In this study,we generated an F 2 population by crossing the large-grain japonica cultivar CW23 with Peiai 64 (PA64),an elite indica small-grain cultivar.Using QTL analysis,17 QTLs for five grain traits were detected on four different chromosomes.Eight of the QTLs were newly-identified in this study.In particular,qGL3-1,a newly-identified grain length QTL with the highest LOD value and largest phenotypic variation,was fine-mapped to the 17 kb region of chromosome 3.A serine/threonine protein phosphatase gene encoding a repeat domain containing two Kelch motifs was identified as the unique candidate gene corresponding to this QTL.A comparison of PA64 and CW23 sequences revealed a single nucleotide substitution (C→A) at position 1092 in exon 10,resulting in replacement of Asp (D) in PA64 with Glu (E) in CW23 for the 364th amino acid.This variation is located at the D position of the conserved sequence motif AVLDT of the Kelch repeat.Genetic analysis of a near-isogenic line (NIL) for qGL3-1 revealed that the allele qGL3-1 from CW23 has an additive or partly dominant effect,and is suitable for use in molecular marker-assisted selection.Zejun Hu Haohua He Shiyong Zhang Fan Sun Xiaoyun Xin Wenxiang Wang Xi Qian Jingshui Yang Xiaojin Luo 2012Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,12:41

3苎麻遗传转化再生体系的建立显示文摘苎麻(BoehmerianiveaL.Guad)是荨麻科苎麻属宿根型草本植物,主要分布在热带和亚热带地区,为我国特产,是重要的纺织纤维和饲料作物。由于苎麻为杂合体,其遗传背景十分复杂,有性杂交等常规方法难以取得育种上的突破,因此,探讨利用基因工程技术改良苎麻品种具有重要意义。本研究以苎麻品种圆叶青叶盘为外植体,选用MS培养基为基本培养基,附加激素BA、IAA、GA3和NAA,通过研究不同激素浓度组合对外植体愈伤诱导及不定芽分化的影响以及不同激素配比对生根的作用,建立了较好的遗传转化再生体系。试验结果表明圆叶青叶盘最适诱导愈伤培养基为MS+6-BA2.0mg/L+GA30.4mg/L+IAA0.2mg/L+蔗糖30g/L+琼脂7.5g/L;分化培养基为MS+6-BA2.0mg/L+GA30.4mg/L+蔗糖30g/L+琼脂7.5g/L;小苗的最佳生根培养基为MS+NAA0.2mg/L+IAA0.1mg/L+蔗糖30g/L+琼脂7.5g/L。在抗生素浓度梯度筛选实验中获得50mg/L卡那霉素可以抑制叶盘的分化;40mg/L卡那霉素可以抑制再生植株的生根。筛选出的遗传转化再生体系,为进一步利用基因工程技术对苎麻进行遗传改良打下基础。孔华 郭安平 章霄云 姚庆荣 郭运玲 贺立卡 Kong Hua Guo Anping Zhang Xiaoyun Yao Qingrong Guo Yunling He Lika 2006分子植物育种2006,4,2:16
4Nitrogen Deposition and Its Spatial Pattern in Main Forest Ecosystems along North-South Transect of Eastern China显示文摘A continuous three-year observation(from May 2008 to April 2011)was conducted to characterize the spatial variation of dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN)deposition at eight main forest ecosystems along the north-south transect of eastern China(NSTEC).The results show that both throughfall DIN deposition and bulk DIN deposition increase from north to south along the NSTEC.Throughfall DIN deposition varies greatly from 2.7 kg N/(ha·yr)to 33.0 kg N/(ha·yr),with an average of 10.6 kg N/(ha·yr),and bulk DIN deposition ranges from 4.1 kg N/(ha·yr)to 25.4 kg N/(ha·yr),with an average of 9.8 kg N/(ha·yr).NH4+-N is the dominant form of DIN deposition at most sampling sites.Additionally,the spatial variation of DIN deposition is controlled mainly by precipitation.Moreover,in the northern part of the NSTEC,bulk DIN deposition is 17%higher than throughfall DIN deposition,whereas the trend is opposite in the southern part of the NSTEC.The results demonstrate that DIN deposition would likely threaten the forest ecosystems along the NSTEC,compared with the critical loads(CL)of N deposition,and DIN deposition in this region is mostly controlled by agricultural activities rather than industrial activities or transportation.ZHAN Xiaoyun YU Guirui HE Nianpeng FANG Huajun JIA Bingrui ZHOU Mei WANG Chuankuan ZHANG Junhui ZHAO Guangdong WANG Silong LIU Yunfen YAN Junhua 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:10

6A Comparative Study of the Cellular Microscopic Characteristics and Mechanisms of Maize Seedling Damage from Superabsorbent Polymers显示文摘Superabsorbent polymers(SAPs) as soil moisture conditioners have been increasingly used in agriculture, but conflicting results were reported regarding the effects of SAPs on crop growth. In this study, both laboratory cultivation and analysis were conducted to investigate the effects of different SAPs on the growth and physiology of crops under water-saving agricultural practices. Maize(Zea mays L.) seedlings were cultivated using distilled water or three different SAP hydrogels, sodium polyacrylate(SP), potassium polyacrylate(PP), and sodium polyacrylate embedded with phosphate rock powder(SPP), as growth media. Growth characteristics of the model plant and damage were assessed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results showed that both the SP and PP treatments had pronounced negative effect on the hydrogels of growth of maize seedlings. The SPP treatment appeared to facilitate the stem-leaf growth and had no obvious adverse effect on root growth. All the three hydrogel treatments caused varying degrees of damage to the organizational structure and cellular morphology of the roots, with the SP and PP treatments causing the most severe damage; the membrane system of root cells was damaged by both SP and PP treatments. 7Advancement in separation materials for blood purification therapy显示文摘Blood purification refers to the extra corporeal therapies of removing potentially toxic substances, in which blood is circulated through an adsorption system loading separation materials. High-efficient inexpensive separation materials are critical to success. In this review, separation materials such as polymers and nanomaterials are summarized and compared. Combining the advantages of the adsorptive membranes and nanomaterials, organic–inorganic hybrid/blend membranes have been developed explosively. These hybrid/blend membranes have both the characteristics of high permeability, easy fabrication, good biocompatibility of adsorptive membranes, and characteristics of fast adsorption rate and high adsorption capacity of nanomaterials. The preparation and modification methodology of the separation materials is reviewed. For affinity separation materials, the relationship of ligand chemistry, ligand density and pores of the matrix is discussed. 10Selective electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide at zigzag edges of exfoliated molybdenum telluride nanoflakes显示文摘The two-electron reduction of molecular oxygen represents an effective strategy to enable the green,mild and on-demand synthesis of hydrogen peroxide.Its practical viability,however,hinges on the development of advanced electrocatalysts,preferably composed of non-precious elements,to selectively expedite this reaction,particularly in acidic medium.Our study here introduces 2H-MoTe2 for the first time as the efficient non-precious-metal-based electrocatalyst for the electrochemical production ofhydrogen peroxide in acids.We show that exfoliated 2H-MoTe2 nanoflakes have high activity(onset overpotential〜140 mV and large mass activity of 27 A g^-1 at 0.4 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode),great selectivity(H2O2 percentage up to 93%)and decent stability in 0.5 M H2SO4.Theoretical simulations evidence that the high activity and selectivity of 2H-MoTe2 arise from the proper binding energies of HOO*and O*at its zigzag edges that jointly favor the two-electron reduction instead of the four-electron reduction of molecular oxygen.Xuan Zhao Yu Wang Yunli Da Xinxia Wang Tingting Wang Mingquan Xu Xiaoyun He Wu Zhou Yafei Li Jonathan NColeman Yanguang Li 2020National Science Review2020,7,8:3

12Understanding the attributes of the dual oasis effect in an arid region using remote sensing and observational data显示文摘Investigating the attributes of the dual oasis effect and oasis–desert interactions is crucial for understanding the climatic and ecological effects of oases.In this study,oasis effect intensity(OEI)was used as an indicator to investigate the factors that contribute to the dual oasis effect.The oasis effect has two attributes:the surface oasis heating effect(OHE)occurred in winter,while the oasis cooling effect(OCE)occurred in the other three seasons,especially in summer.During the day,the OEI of the whole oasis was−12.8℃,−5.2℃,and−4.5℃ in summer,spring,and autumn,respectively,which indicated a strong OCE;and OEI was 0.5℃ in winter,which indicated a weaker OHE.In arid regions,the OCE dominated most of the time,but the OHE occurred in winter and cannot be ignored.In addition,through statistical analysis and energy balance analysis,high evapotranspiration of the oasis was the main factor leading to the occurrence of OCE in the summer,while low albedo to the occurrence of OHE in winter.Qiang Bie Yaowen Xie Xiaoyun Wang Baocheng Wei Lei He Hanming Duan Ju Wang 2020Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1:2
13Studies on the Relationship between Neuroendocrine Cellular Differentiation in Gastric Cancers and Post-operative Survival Time显示文摘OBJECTIVE To examine the ultrastructure of gastric cancer cel s by the electron microscope,in order to assess the relationship between neuroendocrine differentiation and post-operative survival time. METHODS NSE,Syn and CgA immunohistochemical labeling was conducted in 168 cases with a common-type of gastric cancer.Electron microscopy was performed in 80 cases with positive immunohistochemical labeling. These cases were fol owed-up for over 5 years and the post-operative survival data analyzed. RESULTS Neuroendocrine granules were found by electron microscopy in 39 cases.The rate of neuroendocrine differentiation found was 23% (39/168),using routine diagnostic criteria and electron microscopy(REM). The post-operative survival time of gastric cancer patients with neuroendocrine differentiation was significantly shorter(P=0.0032)compared to those without neuroendocrine differentiation. 14Properties of the pigment in black rice显示文摘Pigment was extracted from pericarp of black rice variety Zixiangnuo. The effects of several factors, including pH, light, chemical reagents and foodstuff additives on the color, solubility and heat stability of the pigment were observed. The color of the pigment varied with different acid conditions. When the pH was below 3, a stronger absorption peak at 495nm was observed. If the pH was between 3 and 10, there was a platform in 400-495nm. No obvious absorption peak in visible light region was found when pH was above 10. As the pH increased, the color of the pigment changed, from deep red to light red until to yellowishbrown, e.g. pH 0-2, deep red; pH3-4, red pH5-6, quite red; pH9-10, faint red; pH11, faint brown yellow; pH12, light brown yellow; pH13, yellowish brown; pH14, deep yellowish brown. The change of color was reversible. The pigment was quite stable under nature light conditions. At pH 1, it was basically unchanged within 10 d under sunlight or within 60 d under indoor nature light. 17Lowing the energy loss of organic solar cells by molecular packing engineering via multiple molecular conjugation extension显示文摘The central unit(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole) in Y6 series of molecules plays a determining role in their unique intermolecular packing for a three-dimensionally(3D) network, largely endowing their organic solar cells(OSCs) with so far the best power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) and also largely suppressed energy losses(Eloss). Despite its vital role in molecular packing, very few explorations for central unit have been conducted due to possibly the constructing challenge of central heterocyclic units.Herein, a highly efficient acceptor-donor-acceptor(A-D-A) type electron acceptor, CH17, has been designed and constructed,featured with a prominent π extension in both directions of the central and end units with respect to Y6 series. Such a multiple and much enhanced conjugation extension in CH17 enables a much more effective and compact 3D molecular packing compared with that of Y6 supported by X-ray single crystal and other analysis, mainly caused by a newly observed distinctive dual “end unit to central unit” packing mode. This much favorable molecular packing, also kept in its blends with donor materials, leads a larger electron and hole transfer integrals and hence much improved charge transport, and reduced energetic disorders in CH17blends. More importantly, the observed upshifted charge transfer(CT) state of CH17 blends compared with that of Y6, due to its increased molecular conjugation extension in both directions, further enhances the hybridization between its CT and local exciton(LE) states, resulting in higher luminescence efficiency, much suppressed non-radiative recombination loss and smaller Elosswith respect to that of Y6. Consequently, an excellent PCE of 17.84% is achieved with PM6 as the donor in a binary device compared with a PCE of 16.27% for the controlled Y6 device. Furthermore, a further improved PCE of 18.13% is achieved by CH17-based ternary single-junction OSCs along with a markedly reduced Elossof 0.49 e V and larger open-circuit voltage(Voc) of0.89 V, compared with that(16.27% of PCE, 0.85 V of Voc, and 0.53 e V of Eloss) of the control device using Y6. 18Advances in swept-source optical coherence tomography and optical coherence tomography angiography显示文摘Background:The fast development of swept-source optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)and swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography(SS-OCTA)enables both anterior and posterior imaging of the eye.These techniques have evolved from a research tool to an essential clinical imaging modality.Main text:The longer wavelength and faster speed of SS-OCT and SS-OCTA facilitate better visualization of structure and vasculature below pigmented tissue with a larger field of view of the posterior segment and 360-degree visualization of the anterior segment.In the past 10 years,algorithms dealing with OCT and OCTA data also vastly improved the image quality and enabled the automated quantification of OCT-and OCTA-derived metrics.This technology has enriched our current understanding of healthy and diseased eyes.Even though the high cost of the systems currently limited the widespread use of SS-OCT and SS-OCTA at the first beginning,the gap between research and clinic practice got obviously shortened in the past few years.Conclusions:SS-OCT and SS-OCTA will continue to evolve rapidly,contributing to a paradigm shift toward more widespread adoption of new imaging technology in clinical practice.Fang Zheng Xiaofeng Deng Qi Zhang Jingliang He Panpan Ye Shan Liu Peng Li Jian Zhou Xiaoyun Fang 2023Advances in Ophthalmology Practice and Research2023,3,2:1
