| 1 | Comparison of RECIST version 1.0 and 1.1 in assessment of tumor response by computed tomography in advanced gastric cancer显示文摘Objective:Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(RECIST)guideline version 1.0(RECIST 1.0)was proposed as a new guideline for evaluating tumor response and has been widely accepted as a standardized measure.With a number of issues being raised on RECIST 1.0,however,a revised RECIST guideline version 1.1(RECIST 1.1)was proposed by the RECIST Working Group in 2009.This study was conducted to compare CT tumor response based on RECIST 1.1 vs.RECIST 1.0 in patients with advanced gastric cancer(AGC).Methods:We reviewed 61 AGC patients with measurable diseases by RECIST 1.0 who were enrolled in other clinical trials between 2008 and 2010.These patients were retrospectively re-analyzed to determine the concordance between the two response criteria using theκstatistic.Results:The number and sum of tumor diameters of the target lesions by RECIST 1.1 were significantly lower than those by RECIST 1.0(P<0.0001).However,there was excellent agreement in tumor response between RECIST 1.1 and RECIST 1.0(κ=0.844).The overall response rates(ORRs)according to RECIST1.0 and RECIST 1.1 were 32.7%(20/61)and 34.5%(20/58),respectively.One patient with partial response(PR)based on RECIST 1.0 was reclassified as stable disease(SD)by RECIST 1.1.Of two patients with SD by RECIST 1.0,one was downgraded to progressive disease and the other was upgraded to PR by RECIST 1.1.Conclusions:RECIST 1.1 provided almost perfect agreement with RECIST 1.0 in the CT assessment of tumor response of AGC. | Gil-Su Jang Min-Jeong Kim Hong-Il Ha Jung Han Kim Hyeong Su Kim Sung Bae Ju Dae Young Zang | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013，25，6： | 42 |
| 2 | Somatostatin adjunctive therapy for non-variceal upper gastrointestinal rebleeding after endoscopic therapy显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the effect of pantoprazole with a somatostatin adjunct in patients with acute non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding(NVUGIB).METHODS:We performed a retrospective analysis of a prospective database in a tertiary care university hospital.From October 2006 to October 2008,we enrolled 101 patients with NVUGIB that had a high-risk stigma on endoscopy.Within 24 h of hospital admission,all patients underwent endoscopic therapy.After successful endoscopic hemostasis,all patients received an 80-mg bolus of pantoprazole followed by continuous intravenous infusion(8 mg/h for 72 h).The somatostatin adjunct group(n=49)also received a 250-μg bolus of somatostatin,followed by continuous infusion (250μg/h for 72 h).Early rebleeding rates,disappearance of endoscopic stigma and risk factors associated with early rebleeding were examined.RESULTS:Early rebleeding rates were not significantly different between treatment groups(12.2%vs 14.3%,P=0.766).Disappearance of endoscopic stigma on the second endoscopy was not significantly different between treatment groups(94.2%vs 95.9%,P=0.696).Multivariate analysis showed that the complete Rockall score was a significant risk factor for early rebleeding(P =0.044,OR:9.080,95%CI:1.062-77.595).CONCLUSION:The adjunctive use of somatostatin was not superior to pantoprazole monotherapy after successful endoscopic hemostasis in patients with NVUGIB. | Cheol Woong Choi Dae Hwan Kang Hyung Wook Kim Su Bum Park Kee Tae Park Gwang Ha Kim Geun Am Song Mong Cho | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，29： | 15 |
| 3 | New magnifying endoscopic classification for superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘AIM To assess the accuracy of a new magnifying endoscopy(ME)classification for predicting depth of invasion of superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(SESCC).METHODS This study included a total of 70 lesions in 69 patients with SESCC who underwent ME with narrow-band imaging(ME-NBI)before resection from August 2010 to July 2016.Accuracy of ME-NBI for predicting depth of invasion of SESCC was analyzed by using a new ME classification proposed by the Japan Esophageal Society(JES),and interobserver agreement was assessed.RESULTS Overall accuracy of ME-NBI for estimating depth of invasion of SESCC was 78.6%.Sensitivity and specificity of type B1 for tumors limited to the epithelial layer(m1)or invading into the lamina propria(m2)were 71.4%and 100%,respectively.Sensitivity and specificity of type B2 for tumors invading into the muscularis mucosa(m3)or superficial submucosa(≤200μm,sm1)were94.4%and 73.1%,respectively,while those of type B3for tumors invading into the deep submucosa(>200μm,sm2)were 75.0%and 97.8%,respectively.Interobserver agreement was excellent(κ=0.86,95%CI:0.76-0.95).CONCLUSION The recently developed JES ME classification is useful for predicting depth of invasion of SESCC,with reliable interobserver agreement. | Su Jin Kim Gwang Ha Kim Moon Won Lee Hye Kyung Jeon Dong Hoon Baek Bong Eun Lee Geun Am Song | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017，23，24： | 13 |
| 4 | Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial Effects of Anthocyanin Extracted from Black Soybean on Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis Rat Model显示文摘Objective: To investigated the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects of anthocyanins extracted from black soybean on the chronic bacterial prostatitis(CBP) rat model.Methods: The SpragueDawley rats were divided into 4 groups,including control,ciprofloxacin,anthocyanins and anthocyanins with ciprofloxacin groups(n=8 in each group).Then,drip infusion of bacterial suspension(Escherichia coli Z17O_2:K_1:H^-) into Sprague-Dawley rats was conducted to induce CBP.In 4 weeks,results of prostate tissue,urine culture,and histological analysis on the prostate were analyzed for each group.Results: The use of ciprofloxacin,anthocyanins,and anthocyanins with ciprofloxacin showed statistically significant decreases in bacterial growth and improvements in the reduction of prostatic inflammation compared with the control group(P<0.05).The anthocyanins with ciprofloxacin group showed a statistically significant decrease in bacterial growth and improvement in prostatic inflammation compared with the ciprofloxacin group(P<0.05).Conclusions: These results suggest that anthocyanins may have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects,as well as a synergistic effect with ciprofloxacin.Therefore,we suggest that the combination of anthocyanins and ciprofloxacin may be effective in treating CBP to obtain a higher rate of treatment success. | Byung Il Yoon Woong Jin Bae Yong Sun Choi Su Jin Kim U Syn Ha Sung-Hoo Hong Dong Wan Sohn Sae Woong Kim | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2018，24，8： | 11 |

| 6 | Dietary fat-associated osteoarthritic chondrocytes gain resistance to lipotoxicity through PKCK2/STAMP2/FSP27显示文摘Free fatty acids(FFAs), which are elevated with metabolic syndrome, are considered the principal offender exerting lipotoxicity. Few previous studies have reported a causal relationship between FFAs and osteoarthritis pathogenesis. However, the molecular mechanism by which FFAs exert lipotoxicity and induce osteoarthritis remains largely unknown. We here observed that oleate at the usual clinical range does not exert lipotoxicity while oleate at high pathological ranges exerted lipotoxicity through apoptosis in articular chondrocytes. By investigating the differential effect of oleate at toxic and nontoxic concentrations, we revealed that lipid droplet(LD) accumulation confers articular chondrocytes, the resistance to lipotoxicity. Using high fat diet-induced osteoarthritis models and articular chondrocytes treated with oleate alone or oleate plus palmitate, we demonstrated that articular chondrocytes gain resistance to lipotoxicity through protein kinase casein kinase 2(PKCK2)—six-transmembrane protein of prostate 2(STAMP2)—and fat-specific protein 27(FSP27)-mediated LD accumulation. We further observed that the exertion of FFAs-induced lipotoxicity was correlated with the increased concentration of cellular FFAs freed from LDs, whether FFAs are saturated or not. In conclusion, PKCK2/STAMP2/FSP27-mediated sequestration of FFAs in LD rescues osteoarthritic chondrocytes. WSY-1075 was oral y administrated to rats 200 mg daily for 2 weeks prior to the operation and 4 weeks after the operation. Bladder outlet obstruction was surgical y induced in rats by ligation around the urethra avoiding total obstruction. Cystometrography was conducted on rats in each group for examination of bladders. Results: Compared with the control group, bladder outlet obstruction led to a significant increase in oxidative stress with consequent changes to molecular composition, and decrease in maximal detrusor pressure(P<0.05). WSY-1075 treatment significantly suppressed oxidative stress and prevented degenerative and dysfunctional changes in bladder, as compared with BOO-DU group(P<0.05).
