1Janus electrode with simultaneous management on gas and liquid transport for boosting oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Oxygen reduction efficiency holds the key for renewable energy technologies including fuel cells and metal-air batteries,which involves coupling diffusion-reaction-conduction processes at the interface of catalyst/electrolyte,and thus rational electrode design facilitating mass transportation stands as a key issue for fast oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,we report a Janus electrode with asymmetric wettability prepared by partly modifying aerophobic nitrogen doped carbon nanotube arrays with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)as a high performance catalytic electrode for ORR.The Janus electrode with opposite wettability on adjacent sides maintains stable gas reservoir in the aerophilic side while shortening O2 pathway to catalysts in the aerophobic side,resulting in superior ORR performance(22.5 mA/cm^2@0.5 V)than merely aerophilic or aerophilic electrodes.The Janus electrode endows catalytic performance even comparable to commercial,Pt/C in the alkali ne electrolyte,exploiting a previously unrecognized opport unity that guides electrode design for the gas-consumption electrocatalysis.Yingjie Li Haichuan Zhang Nana Han Yun Kuang Junfeng Liu Wen Liu Haohong Duan Xiaoming Sun 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:4

3Fabrication and performance evaluation of novel transparent ceramics RE:Tb_(3)Ga_(5)O_(12)(RE=Pr,Tm,Dy)toward magneto-optical application显示文摘Transparent ceramics are at the heart of modern magneto-optical materials providing promising opportunities for Faraday isolators.1.0 at%RE:Tb3Ga5O12(rare earth(RE)=Pr,Tm,Dy)transparent ceramics were successfully prepared by air sintering and sequential HIP technique using the coprecipitated powders as the raw material.All the powders have shown to be a pure cubic terbium gallium garnet(TGG)phase and exhibit good dispersion.Additionally,a change could not be observed in particle shape with the different doped ions.After the two-step sintering,all the obtained ceramics have good optical quality,and the in-line transmittances at 1070 nm are higher than 80%.Moreover,no secondary phase can be detected from the microstructures.However,the pores which remain entrapped in the ceramics can be noted.The Verdet constant of ceramic samples is optimized by RE doping,and the Verdet constant at 632.8 nm is about−143 rad·T^(−1)·m^(−1),which is about 5%higher than that of TGG ceramics.Finally,the thermo-optical properties of 1.0 at%RE:TGG transparent ceramics are compared.The annealed TGG ceramic showed the best thermo-optical properties,and the thermally induced depolarization of 1.0 at%Ce:TGG and 1.0 at%Tm:TGG was inferior to that of annealed TGG ceramic.Xiaoying Li Ilya LSnetkov Aleksey Yakovlev Qiang Liu Xin Liu Ziyu Liu Penghui Chen Danyang Zhu Lexiang Wu Zhaoxiang Yang Tengfei Xie Haohong Chen Oleg Palashov Jiang Li 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,2:3
4Single-layer Rh nanosheets with ultrahigh peroxidase-like activity for colorimetric biosensing显示文摘When the dimensionality of layered compounds decreases to the physical limit, ultimate two-dimensional (2D)anisotropy and/or quantum confinement effects may lead to extraordinary physicochemical attributes.Here,we report single-layer Rh nanosheets (NSs)exhibiting ultrahigh peroxidase-like activity,far exceeding that of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)and of most known layered nanomaterialbased peroxidase mimics.Considering per NS as an active subunit,the Rh NSs displayed a catalytic rate constant (Kcat)as high as 4.45×10^5 s^-1to H2O2,two orders of magnitude higher than those of HRP and Rh nanoparticles.The high atom efficiency of the Rh NSs can be attributed to the full exposure of surface-active Rh atoms,which greatly facilitates electron transfer and formation of superoxide anions,representing reactive oxygen species in the catalytic process.As a proof- of-concept application,the Rh NSs were successfully used as peroxidase mimics for the colorimetric detection of H2O2 and xanthine,with high sensitivity and selectivity.Moreover,a simple,rapid,and sensitive Rh-based paper sensor for ascorbic acid was also developed.In summar^this work provides a novel example of single-layer metallic NSs for biosensing.Shuangfei Cai Wei Xiao Haohong Duan Xixi Liang Chen Wang Rong Yang Yadong Li 2018Nano Research2018,11,12:3
5β-Arrestin-2 inhibits preference for alcohol in mice and suppresses Akt signaling in the dorsal striatum显示文摘In this study,we investigated the role ofβ-arrestin-2in alcohol preference using the two-bottle choice and conditioned place preference procedures in wild-type(WT)andβ-arrestin-2 knockout(KO)mice.Locomotion and righting reflex tests were performed to test alcohol sensitivity.The possible molecular signals regulated byβ-arrestin-2 were analyzed by Western blot.We found thatβ-arrestin-2 KO mice showed a marked increase in voluntary alcohol consumption without significant differences in preference for saccharin or aversion to quinine.These animals also exhibited higher conditioned place preference scores for alcohol than WT mice.Meanwhile,KO mice showed reduced sensitivity to alcohol and increased blood alcohol clearance.Furthermore,after the free consumption of alcohol,the activities of protein kinase B and glycogen synthase kinase 3β(GSK3β)increased in the dorsal striatum of WT mice,but not in KO mice,which showed high basal activity of Akt in the dorsal striatum.These results suggest thatβ-arrestin-2 negatively regulates alcohol preference and reward,likely through regulating the activation of signaling pathways including Akt/GSK3βin the dorsal striatum.Haohong Li Yezheng Tao Li Ma Xing Liu Lan Ma 2013Neuroscience Bulletin2013,29,5:2

7Active wavefront shaping for controlling and improving multimode fi ber sensor显示文摘Wavefront shaping(WFS)techniques have been used as a powerful tool to control light propagation in complex media,including multimode fibers.In this paper,we propose a new application of WFS for multimode fber-based sensors.The use of a single multimode fiber alone,without any special fabrication,as a sensor based on the light intensity variations is not an easy task.The twist effect on multimode fiber is used as an example herein.Experimental results show that light intensity through the multimode fiber shows no direct relationship with the twist angle,but the correlation coefficient(CC)of speckle patterns does.Moreover,if WFS is applied to transform the spatially seemingly random light pattern at the exit of the multimode fiber into an optical focus.The focal pattern correlation and intensity both can serve to gauge the twist angle,with doubled measurement range and allowance of using a fast point detector to provide the feedback.With further development,WFS may find potentials to facilitate the development of multimode fber-based sensors in a variety of scenarios.Tianting Zhong Zhipeng Yu Huanhao Li Zihao Li Haohong Li Puxiang Lai 2019Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2019,,4:1

10The visible light-triggered nonvolatile memory performances in melamine-decorated <110>-oriented lead halide perovskites: A photo-responsive structural evolution insight显示文摘The exploration of novel photo/thermal-responsive nonvolatile memorizers will be beneficial for energysaving memories.Herein,new<110>-oriented perovskites using single template melamine,i.e.,[(MLAI-H_(2))(PbX_(4))]_n(X=Br (α-1),Cl (α-2),MLAI=melamine) have been prepared and their structures upon irradiation of visible light have been investigated.They have been fabricated as nonvolatile memory devices with structures of ITO/[(MLAI-H_(2))(PbX_(4))]_n/PMMA/Ag (device-1:X=Br,device-2:X=Cl),which can exhibit unique visible light-triggered binary nonvolatile memory performances.Interestingly,the silent or working status can be monitored by visible chromisms.Furthermore,the light-triggered binary resistive switching mechanisms of these ITO/[(MLAI-H_(2))(PbX_(4))]_n/PMMA/Ag memory devices have been clarified in terms of EPR,fluorescence,and single-crystal structural analysis.The presence of light-activated traps in<110>-oriented[(MLAI-H_(2))(PbX_(4))]_n perovskites are dominated in the appearance of light-triggered resistive switching behaviors,based on which the inverted internal electrical fields can be established.According to the structural analysis,the more distorted PbX_6octahedra,higher corrugated<110>-oriented perovskite sheets,and more condensed organic-inorganic packing in Br-containing perovskite are beneficial for the stabilization of light-activated traps,which lead to the better resistive switching behavior of device-1.This work can pave a new avenue for the establishment of novel energy-saving nonvolatile memorizers used in aerospace or military industries.Kaiyue Song Panke Zhou Lulu Zong Zhencong Yang Haohong Li Zhirong Chen 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3:0
11A nickel-iron layered double hydroxide-supported Au catalyst for efficient electrocatalytic C-C coupling reaction coupled with H_(2) production显示文摘Coupling of cathodic H_(2) production with electrosynthesis of organic compounds not only solves the problem of sluggish oxygen evolution reaction(OER) kinetics, but also produces valuable chemicals. However, this strategy has rarely been explored for direct and selective C(sp~3)-H activation to construct C-C bonds, which could significantly enhance the synthetic efficiency in organic synthesis. Here, we report a nickel-iron layered double hydroxide-supported gold catalyst(Au/NiFe-LDH) for efficient electrocatalytic C-C coupling reaction in direct C(sp~3)-H alkynylation of tertiary aliphatic amines with 1-iodoalkynes, which is coupled with H_(2) production. Specifically, triethylamine and 1-iodoalkynes undergo efficient alkynylation to afford propargylamine in high yield(79%) and recycling ability without addition of external oxidants, coupling with 78-fold higher H_(2) productivity compared with water splitting under the same potential. 12Styrene epoxidation catalyzed by polyoxometalate/quaternary ammonium phase transfer catalysts: The effect of cation size and catalyst deactivation mechanism显示文摘Catalytic epoxidation of alkenes is an important type of organic reaction in chemical industry,and the deep insight into catalyst deactivation will help to develop new epoxidation process.In this work,series of quaternary ammoniums bearing different cationic sizes,i.e.MTOA+(methyltrioctylammonium,[(C_(8)H_(17))_(3)CH_(3)N]+),HTMA+(hexadecyltrimethylammonium,[(C_(16)H_(33))(CH_(3))_(3)N]+) and DMDOA+(dimethyldioctadecylammonium,[(C_(18)H_(37))_(2)(CH_(3))_(2)N]+) were incorporated with polyoxometalate (POM) anions to prepare phase transfer catalysts (PTCs),which were used in the styrene epoxidations.Among them,(MTOA)_(3)PW_(4)O_(24)exhibits the best catalytic performance judged from the highest styrene conversion rate(52%) and styrene oxide selectivity (93%),during which the styrene epoxidation conditions were optimized.Meanwhile,the deactivation mechanism of this kind of PTCs was proposed firstly,i.e.in the case of low H_(2)O_(2) content,the oxidant can only be used in the styrene epoxidation,in which the catalyst can transform into stable Keggin-type POM.But when the content of H_(2)O_(2) is higher,the excess H_(2)O_(2) can reactivate the Keggin-type POM into active (PW_(4)O_(24))_(3)-anions,which can trigger the ring-opening polymerization of styrene oxide.Consequently,the catalyst is deactivated by adhered poly(styrene oxide)irreversibly,which was determined by NMR spectra.In this situation,the active moiety{PO_(4)[WO(O_(2))_(2)]_(4)}_(3)-in phase-transfer catalytic system can break into some unidentified species with low W/P ratio with the presence of epoxides.This work will be beneficial for the design of new PTCs in alkene epoxidation in fine chemical industry.Qiongna Xiao Yuyan Jiang Weiqiang Yuan Jingjing Chen Haohong Li Huidong Zheng 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,55,3:0
13Sensitive Detection of Multiple Tumor Markers for Early Tumor Diagnosis显示文摘Tumor markers have a wide clinical applications for early tumor screening and diagnosis.In the study,the combined detection of serum tumor markers(SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,CEA,CA125,NSE)was used to explore the correlation and diagnostic efficacy of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).First,60 cases of OSCC patients,60 cases of patients with non-OSCC malignant tumors,and 60 cases of patients with healthy physical condition were collected as the control group in the People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2015 to January 2018.Each experimental subject were draw 2 mL of fasting peripheral blood,and the tumor markers of SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,CEA,CA125,and NSE concentration were detected in the blood respectively.The results showed that the levels of the 5 of serum tumor markers of OSCC patients were different with those of the non-OSCC malignant tumor group.Compared with the control group,there was a significant difference(P<0.05).And the results showed that the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,and positive predictive values of CEA,CA125,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,and NSE were significantly improved after combined detection.Therefore,the combined detection of the 5 tumor markers can be used for the early diagnosis of OSCC.Hai-E Lu HaoHong Li XinJing Luo 2019Advances in Modern Oncology Research2019,5,4:0

16Neurocircuitry of Predatory Hunting显示文摘Predatory hunting is an important type of innate behavior evolutionarily conserved across the animal king-dom.It is typically composed of a set of sequential actions,including prey search,pursuit,attack,and consumption.This behavior is subject to control by the nervous system.Early studies used toads as a model to probe the neuroethology of hunting,which led to the proposal of a sensory-triggered release mechanism for hunting actions.More recent stud-ies have used genetically-trackable zebrafish and rodents and have made breakthrough discoveries in the neuroethol-ogy and neurocircuits underlying this behavior.Here,we review the sophisticated neurocircuitry involved in hunting and summarize the detailed mechanism for the circuitry to encode various aspects of hunting neuroethology,including sensory processing,sensorimotor transformation,motivation,and sequential encoding of hunting actions.We also discuss the overlapping brain circuits for hunting and feeding and point out the limitations of current studies.We propose that hunting is an ideal behavioral paradigm in which to study the neuroethology of motivated behaviors,which may shed new light on epidemic disorders,including bingeeating,obesity,and obsessive-compulsive disorders.Zheng-Dong Zhao Li Zhang Xinkuan Xiang Daesoo Kim Haohong Li Peng Cao Wei L.Shen 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,5:0

18Time-restricted feeding is an intervention against excessive dark-phase sleepiness induced by obesogenic diet显示文摘High-fat diet(HFD)-induced obesity is a growing epidemic and major health concern.While excessive daytime sleepiness(EDS)is a common symptom of HFD-induced obesity,preliminary findings suggest that reduced wakefulness could be improved with time-restricted feeding(TRF).At present,however,the underlying neural mechanisms remain largely unknown.The paraventricular thalamic nucleus(PVT)plays a role in maintaining wakefulness.We found that chronic HFD impaired the activity of PVT neurons.Notably,inactivation of the PVT was sufficient to reduce and fragment wakefulness during the active phase in lean mice,similar to the sleep-wake alterations observed in obese mice with HFD-induced obesity.On the other hand,enhancing PVT neuronal activity cons olidated wakefulness in mice with HFD-induced obesity.We observed that the fragmented wakefulness could be eliminated and reversed by TRF.Furthermore,TRF prevented the HFD-induced disruptions on synaptic transmission in the PVT,in a feeding duration-dependent manner.Collectively,our findings demonstrate that ad libitum access to a HFD results in inactivation of the PVT,which is critical to impaired nocturnal wakefulness and increased sleep,while TRF can prevent and reverse diet-induced PVT dysfunction and excessive sleepiness.We establish a link between TRF and neural activity,through which TRF can potentially serve as a lifestyle intervention against diet/obesity-related ED S.Xu Wang Keke Xing Mengge He Ting He Xinkuan Xiang Tao Chen Luoying Zhang Haohong Li 2023National Science Review2023,10,1:0
19Sika Deer Facial Recognition Model Based on SE-ResNet显示文摘The scale of deer breeding has gradually increased in recent years and better information management is necessary,which requires the identification of individual deer.In this paper,a deer face dataset is produced using face images obtained from different angles,and an improved residual neural network(ResNet)-based recognition model is proposed to extract the features of deer faces,which have high similarity.The model is based on ResNet-50,which reduces the depth of the model,and the network depth is only 29 layers;the model connects Squeeze-and-Excitation(SE)modules at each of the four layers where the channel changes to improve the quality of features by compressing the feature information extracted through the entire layer.A maximum pooling layer is used in the ResBlock shortcut connection to reduce the information loss caused by messages passing through the ResBlock.The Rectified Linear Unit(ReLU)activation function in the network is replaced by the Exponential Linear Unit(ELU)activation function to reduce information loss during forward propagation of the network.The preprocessed 6864 sika deer face dataset was used to train the recognition model based on SEResnet,which is demonstrated to identify individuals accurately.By setting up comparative experiments under different structures,the model reduces the amount of parameters,ensures the accuracy of the model,and improves the calculation speed of the model.Using the improved method in this paper to compare with the classical model and facial recognition models of different animals,the results show that the recognition effect of this research method is the best,with an average recognition accuracy of 97.48%.The sika deer face recognition model proposed in this study is effective.The results contribute to the practical application of animal facial recognition technology in the breeding of sika deer and other animals with few distinct facial features.He Gong Lin Chen Haohong Pan Shijun Li Yin Guo Lili Fu Tianli Hu Ye Mu Thobela Louis Tyasi 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,9:0
20Efficient light-driven reductive amination of furfural to furfurylamine over ruthenium-cluster catalyst显示文摘Selective reductive amination of carbonyl compounds with high activity is very essential for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry,but scarcely successful paradigm was reported via efficient photocatalytic reactions.Herein,the ultrasmall Ru nanoclusters(~0.9 nm)were successfully fabricated over P25 support with positive charged Ru^(δ+)species at the interface.A new route was developed to achieve the furfural(FAL)to furfurylamine(FAM)by coupling the light-driven reductive amination and hydrogen transfer of ethanol over this type catalyst.Strikingly,the photocatalytic activity and selectivity are strongly dependent on the particle size and electronic structure of Ruthenium.The Ru^(δ+)species at the interface promote the formation of active imine intermediates;moreover,the Ru nanoclusters facilitate the separation efficiency of electrons and holes as well as accelerate the further hydrogenation of imine intermediates to product primary amines.In contrast Ru particles in larger nanometer size facilitate the formation of the furfuryl alcohol and excessive hydrogenation products.In addition,the coupling byproducts can be effectively inhibited via the construction of sub-nanocluster.This study offers a new path to produce the primary amines from biomass-derived carbonyl compounds over hybrid semiconductor/metal-clusters photocatalyst via light-driven tandem catalytic process.Zhen Xue Shasha Wu Yujing Fu Lan Luo Min Li Zhenhua Li Mingfei Shao Lirong Zheng Ming Xu Haohong Duan 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1:0
