| 1 | Effects of organic acids on the leaching process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ore显示文摘To examine the activation of organic acids on the leaching process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ore(IRE-ore), the leaching behavior of rare earth(RE) and zeta potential of IRE-ore were investigated in the absence and presence of carboxylic acids. The results show that all the tested organic acids(acetic acid,malonic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, and malic acid) can promote RE extraction. At relatively high concentrations of organic acids, the activation efficiency of organic acids on RE extraction is generally consistent with their complexation ability; whereas at their low concentrations, the change of zeta potential on the IRE-ore surface with organic acid concentration and p H has a close association with RE extraction, which indicates that organic acids can impact the surface electrical property of IREore via their adsorption/desorption, and thereby increase/decrease the affinity of RE ions to IRE-ore.Therefore the influence of organic acids on the IRE-ore surface electrical property also plays an important role in RE extraction in addition to their complexation with RE ions. | Li Wang Chunfa Liao Youming Yang Haibo Xu Yanfei Xiao Chunhua Yan | 2017 | Journal of Rare Earths2017,35,12: | 23 |
| 2 | Closed loop control design for the sense mode of micromachined vibratory gyroscopes显示文摘This paper presents a novel design method of force rebalance control for the sense mode of micromachined vibratory gyroscopes.Specific theoretical deductions are performed to identify a precise linear model of the open loop system of the sense mode,which is crucial for the PI controller design.The frequency responses obtained by experimental tests agree well with those calculated with the theoretical model,indicating the accuracy of the theoretical analyses.Experimental results demonstrate that the bandwidth of the closed loop is extended to 94.8 Hz from 2.3 Hz in the open loop and the quadrature signal is suppressed by about 64 dBV in the closed loop system.The overshoot and stable time in the step response of the closed loop system are measured to be about 15% and 35 ms,respectively.The mode-splitting gyroscope with the closed loop controlled sense mode achieves a scale factor of 41.0 mV/deg/s with nonlinearity of 0.09% and asymmetry of 1%,and a bias instability of 4.0 °/h with angle random walk of 0.171 deg/h1/2. | HE ChunHua ZHAO QianCheng LIU YuXian YANG ZhenChuan YAN GuiZhen | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,5: | 10 |
| 3 | Dendrite‐free lithium and sodium metal anodes with deep plating/stripping properties for lithium and sodium batteries显示文摘Although lithium(Li)and sodium(Na)metals can be selected as the promising anode materials for next‐generation rechargeable batteries of high energy density,their practical applications are greatly restricted by the uncontrollable dendrite growth.Herein,a platinum(Pt)–copper(Cu)alloycoated Cu foam(Pt–Cu foam)is prepared and then used as the substrate for Li and Na metal anodes.Owing to the ultrarough morphology with a threedimensional porous structure and the quite large surface area as well as lithiophilicity and sodiophilicity,both Li and Na dendrite growths are significantly suppressed on the substrate.Moreover,during Li plating,the lithiated Pt atoms can dissolve into Li phase,leaving a lot of microsized holes on the substrate.During Na plating,although the sodiated Pt atoms cannot dissolve into Na phase,the sodiation of Pt atoms elevates many microsized blocks above the current collector.Either the holes or the voids on the surface of Pt–Cu foam what can be extra place for deposited alkali metal,what effectively relaxes the internal stress caused by the volume exchange during Li and Na plating/stripping.Therefore,the symmetric batteries of Li@Pt–Cu foam and Na@Pt–Cu foam have both achieved long‐term cycling stability even at ultrahigh areal capacity at 20 mAh cm−2. | Jianyi Wang Qi Kang Jingchao Yuan Qianru Fu Chunhua Chen Zibo Zhai Yang Liu Wei Yan Aijun Li Jiujun Zhang | 2021 | Carbon Energy2021,3,1: | 6 |
| 4 | Astronaut mass measurement using linear acceleration method and the effect of body non-rigidity显示文摘Astronaut's body mass is an essential factor of health monitoring in space.The latest mass measurement device for the International Space Station (ISS) has employed a linear acceleration method.The principle of this method is that the device generates a constant pulling force,and the astronaut is accelerated on a parallelogram motion guide which rotates at a large radius to achieve a nearly linear trajectory.The acceleration is calculated by regression analysis of the displacement versus time trajectory and the body mass is calculated by using the formula m=F/a.However,in actual flight,the device is instable that the deviation between runs could be 6-7 kg.This paper considers the body non-rigidity as the major cause of error and instability and analyzes the effects of body non-rigidity from different aspects.Body non-rigidity makes the acceleration of the center of mass (C.M.) oscillate and fall behind the point where force is applied.Actual acceleration curves showed that the overall effect of body non-rigidity is an oscillation at about 7 Hz and a deviation of about 25%.To enhance body rigidity,better body restraints were introduced and a prototype based on linear acceleration method was built.Measurement experiment was carried out on ground on an air table.Three human subjects weighing 60-70 kg were measured.The average variance was 0.04 kg and the average measurement error was 0.4%.This study will provide reference for future development of China's own mass measurement device. | YAN Hui LI LuMing HU ChunHua CHEN Hao HAO HongWei | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,4: | 6 |

| 8 | Effect of Bag Removing with Reflective Film Mulching Before Harvest on Fruit Coloration and Expression of Anthocyanin Related Genes in Peach显示文摘Appearance quality is the main element forming the fruit quality. Both bagging and reflective film application can improve appearance comprehensive quality. In order to determine the effects of bagging and reflective film on peach fruit coloration, this study explored the effects of applying reflective film before harvest on fruit appearance quality of peach(Prunus persica), and discussed the influencing mechanism on fruit coloration. Yellow outside and black inside double-layer bags were removed from fruit twelve days d before harvest. Peel color, pigment content, enzyme activity as well as the gene expression related to fruit coloration of a well-colored and late-ripening peach cultivar ‘Xiahui 8' with different treatments(non-bagging with non-reflective film mulching, debagging with non-reflective film mulching, debagging with reflective film mulching) were researched. The results showed that both debagging with non-reflective film mulching and debagging with reflective film mulching could significantly improve red and green color difference value(a*), a*/b*(b* is yellow and blue color difference value), chroma(C), anthocyanin(Ant) content and reduce hue angle(h), while debagging with reflective film mulching had higher Ant content than debagging with non-reflective film mulching(P < 0.05). The two treatments up-regulated the transcript level of anthocyanin biosynthetic related genes(UFGT, CHS) at the beginning of the experiment, however, the expression of DFR, LDOX and F3 H were enhanced along with the testing process. A downward trend on peel phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL) activity of non-bagging with non-reflective film mulching was observed during the experiment, however, the peel PAL activity of the other two treatments first increased and then decreased. What's more, peel PAL activity of debagging with reflective film mulching was higher than debagging with non-reflective film mulching. | 9 | Sedimentary Conditions of Evaporites in the Late Jurassic Xiali Formation,Qiangtang Basin:Evidence from Geochemistry Records显示文摘The Qiangtang Basin(QB), located in the central Tibetan Plateau, is a Jurassic marine basin and one of the most important prospective salt resource belts in China. In recent decades, many outcrops of gypsiferous bed have been found in the Jurassic marine strata in the basin. Salt springs with abnormally high sodium(Na^+) contents had been identified in the Late Jurassic Xiali Formation(Fm.) in the basin in the last years. However, to date, no potash or halite deposits have been identified in the QB. Gypsum outcrops and salt springs are very important signs in the investigation of halite and potash deposits. Therefore, the Xiali Fm. is a potentially valuable layer to evaluate for the possible presence of halite and potash deposits in the basin. However, few studies have explored the formation conditions of evaporites in the unit. Here, we present detailed geochemical records from the Yanshiping section related to the study of the formation conditions of evaporites in the Xiali Fm. of the QB. Climate proxies based on the obviously increased anion concentrations of SO_4(2-) and Cl^- and the significant correlation coefficients of Ca2+-SO42-(R = 0.985) and Na^+-Cl^-(R = 0.8974) reveal that the upper member of the Xiali Fm.(the upper Xiali Fm.) formed under an arid climate and evolved into the sulfate phase or early chloride phase. Provenance proxies based on the obviously increased K^+ and Na^+ ion concentrations and the significant correlation coefficient of Na^+-Cl^-(R = 0.8974) suggest that the upper Xiali Fm. featured optimal provenance conditions for the possible formation of halite deposits. The regression and the semi-closed tidal flat environment in the upper Xiali Fm. were favorable for the formation of potash and halite deposits. The low Mg^(2+) /Ca^(2+) values(mean value = 1.82) and significant Na^+-Cl^- correlation coefficient(R = 0.8974) also suggest that the upper Xiali Fm. is the layer most likely to contain potential halite deposits. In addition, the macroscopic correlations of tectonism, provenance, paleoclimate, saliferous strata and sedimentary environment between the QB and the adjoining Amu Darya Basin in Central Asia reveal that the two basins shared similar geologic settings that were favorable for the formation of evaporites during the Late Jurassic. | 11 | The role of watermelon caffeic acid O-methyltransferase (ClCOMT1) in melatonin biosynthesis and abiotic stress tolerance显示文摘Melatonin is a pleiotropic signaling molecule that regulates plant growth and responses to various abiotic stresses.The last step of melatonin synthesis in plants can be catalyzed by caffeic acid O-methyltransferase(COMT),a multifunctional enzyme reported to have N-acetylserotonin O-methyltransferase(ASMT)activity;however,the ASMT activity of COMT has not yet been characterized in nonmodel plants such as watermelon(Citrullus lanatus).Here,a total of 16 putative O-methyltransferase(ClOMT)genes were identified in watermelon.Among them,ClOMT03(Cla97C07G144540)was considered a potential COMT gene(renamed ClCOMT1)based on its high identities(60.00–74.93%)to known COMT genes involved in melatonin biosynthesis,expression in almost all tissues,and upregulation under abiotic stresses.The ClCOMT1 protein was localized in the cytoplasm.Overexpression of ClCOMT1 significantly increased melatonin contents,while ClCOMT1 knockout using the CRISPR/Cas-9 system decreased melatonin contents in watermelon calli.These results suggest that ClCOMT1 plays an essential role in melatonin biosynthesis in watermelon.In addition,ClCOMT1 expression in watermelon was upregulated by cold,drought,and salt stress,accompanied by increases in melatonin contents.Overexpression of ClCOMT1 enhanced transgenic Arabidopsis tolerance against such abiotic stresses,indicating that ClCOMT1 is a positive regulator of plant tolerance to abiotic stresses. | Jingjing Chang Yanliang Guo Jingyi Yan Zixing Zhang Li Yuan Chunhua Wei Yong Zhang Jianxiang Ma Jianqiang Yang Xian Zhang Hao Li | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

| 13 | Breakup of Cavitation Bubbles within the Diesel Droplet显示文摘Supercavitation in the diesel nozzle increases the instability of droplets in part due to the two-phase mixture,while the effect of cavitation bubbles on the instability of drops is still unclear.In order to investigate the breakup of cavitation bubbles within the diesel droplet,a new mathematical model describing the disturbance growth rate of the diesel bubble instability is developed.The new mathematical model is applied to predict the effects of fluids viscosity on the stability of cavitation bubbles.The predicted values reveal that the comprehensive effect of fluids viscosity makes cavitation bubbles more stable.Compared with the viscosities of air and cavitation bubble,the diesel droplet’s viscosity plays a dominant role on the stability of cavitation bubbles.Furthermore,based on the modified bubble breakup criterion,the effects of bubble growth speed,sound speed,droplet viscosity,droplet density,and bubble-droplet radius ratio on the breakup time and the breakup radius of cavitation bubbles are studied respectively.It is found that a bubble with large bubble-droplet radius ratio has the initial condition for breaking easily.For a given bubble-droplet radius ratio(0.2),as the bubble growth speed increases(from 2 m/s to 60 m/s),the bubble breakup time decreases(from 3.59μs to 0.17μs)rapidly.Both the greater diesel droplet viscosity and the greater diesel droplet density result in the increase of the breakup time.With increasing initial bubble-droplet radius ratio(from 0.2 to 0.8),the bubble breakup radius decreases(from 8.86μm to 6.23μm).There is a limited breakup radius for a bubble with a certain initial bubble-droplet radius ratio.The mathematical model and the modified bubble breakup criterion are helpful to improve the study on the breakup mechanism of the secondary diesel droplet under the condition of supercavitation. | L Ming NING Zhi YAN Kai FU Juan SONG Yunchao SUN Chunhua | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1: | 2 |

| 15 | Luminescence resonance energy transfer based on β-NaYF_4:Yb,Er nanoparticles and TRITC dye显示文摘β-NaYF4:Yb,Er nanoparticles (NPs) are one of the most efficient upconversion materials, which can convert near-infrared light to higher-energy light through multiple photon absorptions or energy transfer. In addition, they may be attractive alternative donors for luminescence resonance energy transfer (LRET) studies, because of their sharp absorption and emission profiles, high quantum yields, large anti-stokes shifts, long lifetime, low toxicity, and superior photo-stability. In principle, many problems of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), such as excitation of acceptors, emission overlaps between donors and acceptors, high background noise, potential toxicity, and instability, can be overcome using β-NaYF4:Yb,Er NPs as energy donors. Because the organic coating induced separation can significantly reduce the energy transfer efficiency and aqueous FRET system is difficult to be applied in devices, we demonstrate a novel NP-dye LRET system in solid state. The emission of the β-NaYF4:Yb,Er NPs at 539 nm overlaps with the absorption of the tetrametrylrhodarnine isothiocyante (TRITC), satisfying the requirement of LRET process. Since TRITC molecules are adsorbed on the β-NaYF4:Yb,Er NPs by an electrostatic interaction, the interaction distance is suitable for LRET without any further modulation.
