1Monoclonal antibody-based serological methods for maize chlorotic mottle virus detection in China显示文摘Maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV) infects maize plants and causes significant losses in corn production worldwide. In this study, purified MCMV particles were used as the immunogen to produce monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) and polyclonal antibodies (PAbs). Four murine MAbs (4B8, 8C11, 6F4, and 9G1) against MCMV were obtained through the hybridoma technology. The triple antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (TAS-ELISA), dot-immunobinding assay (DIBA), and immunocapture reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (IC-RT-PCR) using the MAb 4B8 were then developed for sensitive, specific, and rapid detection of MCMV in fields. MCMV could be detected in infected leaf crude extracts at dilutions of 1:327 680, 1:64000, and 1:3276800 (w/v, g/ml) by TAS-ELISA, DIBA, and IC-RT-PCR, respectively. One hundred and sixty-one maize field samples showing virus-like symptoms and sixty-nine symptomless maize field samples from ten different provinces of China were collected and screened for the presence of MCMV using the established serological methods. A phylogenetic tree was constructed based on the full length CP genes and Chinese MCMV isolates formed one branch with Thailand isolates. 4Risk of Active Pulmonary Tuberculosis among Patients with Coal Workers'Pneumoconiosis:A Case-control Study in China显示文摘The aim of this study was to estimate the association between occupational, environmental, behavioral risk factors, and active pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) among coal workers' pneumoconiosis(CWP) patients. A matched case-control study was conducted in 86 CWP patients with active PTB and 86 CWP controls without TB. A standardized questionnaire was used for risk factors assessment. Conditioned logistic regression analysis was used to identify associations between the risk factors and active PTB among CWP patients. 5Geochronological and geochemical constraints on the Cuonadong leucogranite, eastern Himalaya显示文摘First comprehensive investigations of the Cuonadong leucogranite exposed in North Himalayan gneiss dome of southern Tibet are presented in this study.The SIMS U–Pb ages of oscillatory zircon rims scatter in a wide range from 34.1 to 16.0 Ma, and the Cuonadong leucogranite probably emplaced at 16.0 Ma. High-precision ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating on a muscovite sample yields an essentially flat age spectrum with consistent plateau and isochron ages, indicating that the Cuonadong leucogranite cooled below 450 °C at 14 Ma. Based on the youngest zircon U–Pb age and muscovite^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar age, the Cuonadong leucogranite experienced rapid cooling with a rate of 119 °C/Myr from 16 to 14 Ma. The geochronological data of this undeformed leucogranite also suggest that the ductile extension of the South Tibetan Detachment System in the eastern Himalaya ceased by ca. 14 Ma. Furthermore,the initial Sr–Nd isotopic compositions and Nd model ages demonstrate that the leucogranite was derived from metapelitic source within the Greater Himalayan Crystalline Complex. 6Inconsistency of changes in uniaxial compressive strength and P-wave velocity of sandstone after temperature treatments显示文摘It is generally accepted that the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)and P-wave velocity of rocks tend to decrease simultaneously with increasing temperature.However,based on a great number of statistical data and systematic analysis of the microstructure variation of rocks with temperature rising and corresponding propagation mechanism of elastic wave,the results show that(1)There are three different trends for the changes of UCS and P-wave velocity of sandstone when heated from room temperature(20C or 25C)to 800C:(i)Both the UCS and P-wave velocity decrease simultaneously;(ii)The UCS increases initially and then decreases,while the P-wave velocity decreases continuously;and(iii)The UCS increases initially and then fluctuates,while the P-wave velocity continuously decreases.(2)The UCS changes at room temperaturee400C,400Ce600C,and 600Ce800C are mainly attributed to the discrepancy of microstructure characteristics and quartz content,the transformation plasticity of clay minerals,and the balance between the thermal cementation and thermal damage,respectively.(3)The inconsistency in the trends of UCS and P-wave velocity changes is caused by the change of quartz content,phase transition of water and certain minerals.Jinyuan Zhang Yanjun Shen Gengshe Yang Huan Zhang Yongzhi Wang Xin Hou Qiang Sun Guoyu Li 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,1:5

12Functionalized metal-organic frameworks with strong acidity and hydrophobicity as an efficient catalyst for the production of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural显示文摘In the dehydration of fructose to 5-hydroxymethyl furfural(HMF),in situ produced water weakens the acid strength of the catalyst and causes the rehydration of HMF,causing unsatisfactory catalytic activity and selectivity.In this work,a class of benzenesulfonic acid-grafted metal-organic frameworks with strong acidity and hydrophobicity is obtained by the direct sulfonation method using 4-chlorobenzenesulfonic acid as sulfonating agent.The resultant MOFs have a specific surface area of greater than 250 m^(2)·g^(-1),acid density above 1.0 mmol·g^(-1),and water contact angle up to 129°.The hydrophobic MOF-PhSO_(3)H exhibits both higher catalytic activity and selectivity than MOF-SO_(3)H in the HMF synthesis due to its better hydrophobicity and olephilicity.Moreover,the catalyst has a high recycled stability.At last,fructose is completely converted,and 98.0%yield of HMF is obtained under 120℃ in a DMSO solvent system.The successful preparation of the hydrophobic acidic MOF provides a novel hydrophobic catalyst for the synthesis of HMF.Huan Li Yao Zhong Luxi Wang Qiang Deng Jun Wang Zheling Zeng Xinxiang Cao Shuguang Deng 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,5:2
13The inhibitor effect of RKIP on inflammasome activation and inflammasome-dependent diseases显示文摘Aberrant inflammasome activation contributes to the pathogenesis of various human diseases,including atherosclerosis,gout,and metabolic disorders.Elucidation of the underlying mechanism involved in the negative regulation of the inflammasome is important for developing new therapeutic targets for these diseases.Here,we showed that Raf kinase inhibitor protein(RKIP)negatively regulates the activation of the NLRP1,NLRP3,and NLRC4 inflammasomes.RKIP deficiency enhanced caspase-1 activation and IL-1P secretion via NLRP1,NLRP3,and NLRC4 Inflammasome activation In primary macrophages.The overexpression of RKIP in THP-1 cells inhibited NLRP1,NLRP3,and NLRC4 inflammasome activation.RKIP-deficient mice showed increased sensitivity to Aluminduced peritonitis and Salmonella typhimurium-induced inflammation,indicating that RKIP inhibits NLRP3 and NLRC4 inflammasome activation in vivo.Mechanistically,RKIP directly binds to apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase-recruitment domain(ASC)and competes with NLRP1,NLRP3,or NLRC4 to interact with ASC thus interrupting inflammasome assembly and activation.The depletion of RKIP aggravated inflammasome-related diseases such as monosodium urate(MSU)-induced gouty arthritis and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced metabolic disorders.Furthermore,the expression of RKIP was substantially downregulated in patients with gouty arthritis or type 2 diabetes(T2D)compared to healthy controls.Collectively,our findings suggest that RKIP negatively regulates NLRP1,NLRP3,and NLRC4 inflammasome activation and is a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of inflammasome-related diseases.Qiang Qin Huan Liu Jia’nan Shou Yu Jiang Hong Yu Xiaojian Wang 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,4:2

17A 3D hierarchical electrocatalyst:Core–shell Cu@Cu(OH)_(2)nanorods/MOF octahedra supported on N-doped carbon for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Cu-based materials are seldom reported as oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalysts due to their inherent electron orbital configuration,which makes them difficult to adsorb oxygen-intermediates during OER.Reasonably engineering the hierarchical architectures and the electronic structures can improve the performance of Cu-based OER catalysts,such as constructing multilevel morphology,inducing the porous materials,improving the Cu valence,building heterostructures,doping heteroatoms,etc.In this work,copper-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate(HKUST-1)octahedra in-situ grow on the Cu nanorod(NR)-supported N-doped carbon microplates,meanwhile an active layer of Cu(OH)_(2)forms on the surface of the original conductive Cu NRs.The octahedral HKUST-1,serving as a spacer between the microplates,greatly improves the porosity and increases the available active sites,facilitating the mass transport and electron transfer,thus resulting in greatly enhanced OER performance.Xinran Li Yipei Li Changli Wang Huaiguo Xue Huan Pang Qiang Xu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:1
18A study of the construction times of the ancient cities in Ganjia Basin,Gansu Province,China显示文摘The Ganjia Basin in Xiahe County,Gansu Province,China,is located on the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau.The area lies in the transitional zone between the Plateau ethnic groups dominated by ancestral Tibetans,and the Central Plains dynasties dominated by ancestral Han in history.The Ganjia Basin is therefore well suited to studying the history of the intermixing of the Han and Tibetan peoples.In this study,we collected samples of organic materials from two ancient cities,Bajiaocheng(BJC) and Sirougucheng(SRGC),in the Ganjia Basin,which were used for radiocarbon dating.Our aims were to determine the construction times and function of the cities,based on the radiocarbon ages,Bayesian age modeling,and the analysis of relevant historical records.The results are used to discuss the role of the Ganjia Basin in the conflicts between and the integration of the two ethnic groups during the historical period.We conclude that BJC was established during 663–732 CE(Common Era);its early occupation history can be divided into an initial establishment phase(670–780 CE) and a phase of regeneration(880–1030 CE).SRGC was probably built at the time of the transition between the Song and Yuan dynasties(~1271 CE).Combining the dating results with an analysis of the architectural styles and historical records,we conclude that BJC was originally built by the Tubo Kingdom as a military stronghold,and its major functions were military,economic and religious,and to support the major eastward expansion of the Tubo.SRGC was most likely a temple-focused city intended to promote Tibetan Buddhism which was a major political and religious leadership for the Tibetans at that time,reflecting changes in the status of different religions in the Ganjia Basin.In addition,the intermixing and blending of the Han and Tibetan groups,reflected by the human activities in the Ganjia Basin,was an important demographic and cultural foundation for the formation of the culturally-diverse but spiritually-united modern Chinese people.XIA Huan ZHANG Dongju WANG Qiang WU Duo DUAN Yanwu CHEN Fahu 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,9:1

20Experimental study on flocculation and sedimentation characteristics of cohesive fine sediment measured using ultrasound in the Pearl River Estuary显示文摘Flocculation-settling of cohesive fine sediment is the main cause of sediment deposition and changes in topography and geomorphology in estuaries.However,studies on estuary morphology have often focused on a single influencing factor,and sediment deposition characteristics under disturbances in sediment concentration,moisture content,and external forces have rarely been considered simultaneously.The authors propose an ultrasound-assisted flocculation-settling method to analyze the various factor affecting cohesive sediment.The current study examined the sedimentation patterns of cohesive sediment with a sediment content concentration of 30%e80%through ultrasound experiments.The results show that when the sediment concentration is 40%e50%,the best effect on flocculation and sedimentation is induced by ultrasound waves.The corresponding settling height at the clear-muddy water interface is 3.05e3.45 cm,and the settling rate is 0.161e0.173 cm/min.Finally,using ultrasound waves,a moisture content of the sediment concentration of 30%e80%was analyzed based on wet and dry conditions.Taking a sediment concentration of 50%as an example,the maximum values of the variation in the water contents of the upper,middle,and lower layers of the wet basis were 0.82%,0.51%,and 0.37%,respectively,whereas those of the upper,middle,and lower layers of the dry basis were 4.77%,1.07%,and 0.60%,respectively.Thus,the moisture content of dry and wet sediment varied as follows:W_(upper)>W_(middle)>W_(lower).The current research results can provide a theoretical basis and technical reference for siltation in channels,harbors,and reservoirs;the evolution of submarine deltas and coastal beaches;transportation of fluid mud;and the treatment of hyper-concentrated sediment flows.Qinqin Liu Xiaojian Liu Jian Chen Peng Hou Yong He Qisong Wang Xiaowei Zhu Qiang Wang Huan Gao 2023International Journal of Sediment Research2023,38,6:0
