1Development of a national VNIR soil-spectral library for soil classification and prediction of organic matter concentrations显示文摘Soil visible-near infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(vis-NIR DRS)has become an important area of research in the fields of remote and proximal soil sensing.The technique is considered to be particularly useful for acquiring data for soil digital mapping,precision agriculture and soil survey.In this study,1581 soil samples were collected from 14 provinces in China,including Tibet,Xinjiang,Heilongjiang,and Hainan.The samples represent 16 soil groups of the Genetic Soil Classification of China.After air-drying and sieving,the diffuse reflectance spectra of the samples were measured under laboratory conditions in the range between 350 and 2500 nm using a portable vis-NIR spectrometer.All the soil spectra were smoothed using the Savitzky-Golay method with first derivatives before performing multivariate data analyses.The spectra were compressed using principal components analysis and the fuzzy k-means method was used to calculate the optimal soil spectral classification.The scores of the principal component analyses were classified into five clusters that describe the mineral and organic composition of the soils.The results on the classification of the spectra are comparable to the results of other similar research.Spectroscopic predictions of soil organic matter concentrations used a combination of the soil spectral classification with multivariate calibration using partial least squares regression(PLSR).This combination significantly improved the predictions of soil organic matter(R2=0.899;RPD=3.158)compared with using PLSR alone(R2=0.697;RPD=1.817).SHI Zhou WANG QianLong PENG Jie JI WenJun LIU HuanJun LI Xi Raphael A VISCARRA ROSSEL 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,7:32
2Status of hyperhomocysteinemia in China: results from the China Stroke High-risk Population Screening Program, 2018显示文摘A nationwide survey was conducted from October 2018 to September 2019 to assess the prevalence of hyperhomocysteinemia(Hhcy)and its influencing factors in China.A standardized questionnaire was used to collect information.Hhcy was defined as the level of serum homocysteine(HCY)≥15.0µmol/L.The H-type hypertension(HHYP)was defined as hypertension with an elevated serum HCY(≥15.0µmol/L).Finally,110551 residents≥40 years of age from 31 provinces in the mainland of China were included.Overall,the median serum HCY level was 10.9µmol/L(interquartile range 7.9–15.1).A total of 28633 participants(25.9%)were defined as Hhcy.The Hhcy prevalence ranged from 7.9%in Shanghai to 56.8%in Tianjin.The data showed that serum HCY levels were associated with age,male gender,cigarette smoking,hypertension,diabetes,ethnicity,endurance in exercise(inverse),and fruit and vegetable intake(inverse).In addition,15486 participants were defined as HHYP,and the rate was 14.0%.HHYP was an independent predictor of stroke with an adjusted odds ratio of 1.752(95%CI 1.338–2.105).The geographical distribution pattern of the Hhcy epidemic reflects dynamic differences,and national strategies should be carried out to further improve the care of patients with Hhcy across China.Wenjun Tu Feng Yan Baohua Chao Xunming Ji Longde Wang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,6:12

4Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke.Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:8
5Lingguizhugan Decoction, a Chinese herbal formula, improves insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a translational approach显示文摘Lingguizhugan Decoction(LGZG)has been investigated in basic studies,with satisfactory effects on insulin resistance in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).This translational approach aimed to explore the effect and underlying mechanism of LGZG in clinical setting.A randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial was performed.A total of 243 eligible participants with NAFLD were equally allocated to receive LGZG(two groups:standard dose and low dose)or placebo for 12 weeks on the basis of lifestyle modifications.The primary efficacy variable was homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Analyses were performed in two populations in accordance with body mass index(BMI;overweight/obese,BMI 24 kg/m^(2);lean,BMI<24 kg/m^(2)).For overweight/obese participants,low-dose LGZG significantly decreased their HOMA-IR level compared with placebo(0.19(1.47)versus 0.08(1.99),P=0.038).For lean subjects,neither dose of LGZG showed a superior effect compared with placebo.Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing and real-time qPCR found that the DNA N6-methyladenine modification levels of protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3A(PPP1R3A)and autophagy related 3(ATG3)significantly increased after LGZG intervention in overweight/obese population.Low-dose LGZG effectively improved insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with NAFLD.The underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of DNA N6-methyladenine modification of PPP1R3A and ATG3.Lean subjects may not be a targeted population for LGZG.Liang Dai Jingjuan Xu Baocheng Liu Yanqi Dang Ruirui Wang Lijie Zhuang Dong Li Lulu Jiao Jianying Wang Lei Zhang Linda LDZhong Wenjun Zhou Guang Ji 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,5:7

8Studies on the Attached Cultivation of Filamentous Oleaginous Microalga Tribonema minus显示文摘Attached cultivation is a promising method for microalgal biomass production. Filamentous oleaginous microalga Tribonema minus(hereafter T. minus) has shown a remarkable potential for biofuel production in terms of its high lipid content. However, the strain has only been cultivated in suspended cultivation systems including open pond and closed photobioreactors. Here, we attempted to study the attached cultivation of T. minus, which might be helpful for its scale-up cultivation and industrial applications. As the results, the optimal conditions for T. minus growth in the attached biofilm are 200 μmol photons m^-2 s^-1 of light intensity and 5% of CO2, and the maximum biomass density of 223 g m^-2 has been achieved under the light intensity. The non-woven fabric as substratum was found as the best substratum in thin layer attached bioreactor, on which the average biomass productivity of T. minus is about(9.73 ± 2.19) g m^-2)d^-1. Furthermore, two attached bioreactor systems, rotary drum and rotation disc, were designed following the light dilution strategy and introduced into T. minus cultivation. The highest footprint areal biomass productivity of these two systems is 33 and 47.1 g m^-2 d^-1, respectively, much higher than that in suspended cultivation system. 9Application of a TLC chemical method to detection of cyclotides in plants显示文摘Iodine, Dragendorff's reagent, ninhydrin and Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 reagents were used to detect cyclotides from proteins, cyclopeptides, linear-peptides and amino acids in the thin layer chromatography (TLC). Cyclotides could be distinguished from the others by comparing the TLC col-oring plots with G-250 and ninhydrin reagents. 12Comparison of sampling designs for calibrating digital soil maps at multiple depths显示文摘Digital soil mapping (DSM) aims to produce detailed maps of soil properties or soil classes to improve agricultural management and soil quality assessment. Optimized sampling design can reduce the substantial costs and efforts associated with sampling, profile description, and laboratory analysis. The purpose of this study was to compare common sampling designs for DSM, including grid sampling (GS), grid random sampling (GRS), stratified random sampling (StRS), and conditioned Latin hypercube sampling (cLHS). In an agricultural field (11 ha) in Quebec, Canada, a total of unique 118 locations were selected using each of the four sampling designs (45 locations each), and additional 30 sample locations were selected as an independent testing dataset (evaluation dataset). Soil visible near-infrared (Vis-NIR) spectra were collected in situ at the 148 locations (1 m depth), and soil cores were collected from a subset of 32 locations and subdivided at 10-cm depth intervals, totaling 251 samples. The Cubist model was used to elucidate the relationship between Vis-NIR spectra and soil properties (soil organic matter (SOM) and clay), which was then used to predict the soil properties at all 148 sample locations. Digital maps of soil properties at multiple depths for the entire field (148 sample locations) were prepared using a quantile random forest model to obtain complete model maps (CM-maps). Soil properties were also mapped using the samples from each of the 45 locations for each sampling design to obtain sampling design maps (SD-maps). The SD-maps were evaluated using the independent testing dataset (30 sample locations), and the spatial distribution and model uncertainty of each SD-map were compared with those of the corresponding CM-map. The spatial and feature space coverage were compared across the four sampling designs. The results showed that GS resulted in the most even spatial coverage, cLHS resulted in the best coverage of the feature space, and GS and cLHS resulted in similar prediction accuracies and spatial distributions of soil properties. The SOM content was underestimated using GRS, with large errors at 0–50 cm depth, due to some values not being captured by this sampling design, whereas larger errors for the deeper soil layers were produced using StRS. Predictions of SOM and clay contents had higher accuracy for topsoil (0–30 cm) than for deep subsoil (60–100 cm). 14Tough polyimide composites synergistically reinforced by carbon nanofiber-grafted carbon fiber and rGO for improved heat dissipation and electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘The rapid miniaturization and a consequent increase in electromagnetic wave(EM)and heat emission in integrated electronic devices are now urgently desiring for multifunctional polymer composites that simultaneously possess high mechanical properties,excellent electromagnetic interference(EMI)shield-ing ability and heat dissipation capability.Herein,a series of novel polyimide-based composite films were constructed by rationally assembling the carbon nanofiber-grafted carbon fiber(NCF)and reduced graphene oxide(rGO)into a highly electrically and thermally conductive pathway within polyimide ma-trix via a sequential bidirectional freezing casting and hot-pressing strategy.The combination of high tensile strength and toughness was obtained by incorporating rGO into the NCF-reinforced PI composite,giving rise to a hierarchical reinforcing structure of NCF and crack deflection induced by rGO nanosheets.The high electrical conductivity(7.0×10^(3) S m^(-1))endows the PI/NCF30/rGO3.5 composite film with a good EMI shielding effectiveness of 45 dB.Moreover,the well-aligned thermally conductive NCF and rGO and strong interfacial bonding between the polymer matrix and reinforcing fibers give rise to improved thermal conductivity(λ),particularly along the in-plane direction.Typically,the PI/NCF30/rGO3.5 exhibits an in-plane thermal conductivity of 5.18 W m^(-1) K^(-1),∼4.7 times increment compared to the pure PI(0.91 W m^(-1) K^(-1)).Besides,the resultant PI/NCF30/rGO3.5 composite film presents a superior Joule heat-ing performance with some features of fast thermal response,ease of regulation and sufficient reliability.Accordingly,the developed multifunctional polyimide-based composite films demonstrate high potential as advanced EMI shielding materials with excellent heat dissipation.Zhiqiang Wu Jie Dong Xiuting Li Xin Zhao Wenjun Tan Chengchang Ji Qinghua Zhang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,18:0

17Long-term effects of electrochemical realkalization on carbonated concrete显示文摘The long-term effects of electrochemical realkalization on carbonated reinforced concrete with a W/C ratio of 0.65 were studied.Fourteen out of 16 carbonated specimens had been subjected to realkalization seven years ago,and the alkalinity of the concrete,the electrochemical characters(corrosion current density and potential)of the specimens and the corrosion conditions of the steel bars were examined.Results of different specimens and also at different time(4,10,13 months and 7 years after realkalization)were compared.According to the phenolphthalein and pH meter test,the alkalinity of the concrete had disappeared after seven years.Based on the potentiodynamic polarization test,various corrosion conditions had developed on the steel bars,which was verified by visual observation.All bars were in the depassivated state,and their corrosion current densities increased significantly after seven years.Cracks developed in some of the specimens,and the diverse compactness of concrete and excessive current of realkalization were considered to be possible causes.The effects of the realkalization treatment vanished after seven years.Peng ZHU Ji ZHANG Wenjun QU 2020Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2020,14,1:0
18Surface protection method for the magnetic core using covalent organic framework shells and its application in As(Ⅲ)depth removal from acid wastewater显示文摘Fe_(3)O_(4)-based materials are widely used for magnetic separation from wastewater.However,they often suffer from Fe-leaching behavior under acidic conditions,decreasing their ac-tivity and limiting sustainable practical applications.In this study,covalent organic frame-works(COFs)were used as the shell to protect the Fe_(3)O_(4) core,and the Fe_(3)O_(4)@COF core-shell composites were synthesized for As(Ⅲ)removal from acid wastewater.The imine-linked COFs can in situ grow on the surface of the Fe_(3)O_(4) core layer by layer with[COFs/Fe_(3)O_(4)]mol ratio of up to 2∶1.The Fe-leaching behavior was weakened over a wide pH range of 1-13.Moreover,such composites keep their magnetic characteristic,making them favorable for nanomaterial separation.As(Ⅲ)batch adsorption experiments results indicated that,when COFs are used as the shell for the Fe_(3)O_(4) core,a balance between As(Ⅲ)removal efficiencies and the thickness of the COF shell exists.Higher As(Ⅲ)removal efficiencies are obtained when the[COFs/Fe_(3)O_(4)]mol ratios were<1.5∶1,but thicker COF shells were not beneficial for As(Ⅲ)removal.Such composites also exhibited better As(Ⅲ)removal performances in the pH range of 1-7.Over a wide pH range,the zeta potential of Fe_(3)O_(4)@COF core-shell compos-ites becomes more positive,which benefits the capture of negative arsenic ions.In addition,thinner surface COFs were favorable for mass transfer and facilitating the reaction of Fe and As elements.Our study highlights the promise of using COFs in nanomaterial surface protection and achieving As(Ⅲ)depth removal under acidic conditions.Wenjun Huang Haomiao Xu Xiaoshuang Liu Longlong Wang Shutang Li Leipeng Ji Zan Qu Naiqiang Yan 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:0

20An Idea of Extracting Fresh Water from the Atmosphere显示文摘Based on principles of vapor coagulation,a method of extracting fresh water from the atmosphere was put forward. Its principles are simple,and it is easy to make and install the equipment made cheaply. Moreover,there is no or much less energy consumed during the extraction process,so there is no environmental pollution.
