| 1 | Dynamics of Coastal Land Use Patterns of Inner Lingdingyang Bay in the Zhujiang River Estuary显示文摘To satisfy the growing of land demand from economic development,a large scale of land reclamation from sea has been carried out in Inner Lingdingyang Bay in the Zhujiang(Pearl)River estuary in recent years.As a result,the tidal flat and the water channels became narrow,the frequency of floods increased,and the environment was un-dermined.Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey(GMGS)conducted an integrated project for marine geo-environ-ment and geo-hazards survey in 2003.With the integration of multi-temporal remote sensing images of 1977,1978,1988,1996,and 2003,GIS spatial analyzing approach and GPS technique,as well as field data and other background data of the region,this research investigated the comprehensive characteristics and the drivers of coastal land use dy-namics and shoreline changes in Inner Lingdingyang Bay.The results reveal that the reclaimed coastal land was mainly for agriculture and aquaculture in early years,but now they are used for construction sites of harbors and in-dustries,especially high-tech industry. | Xia Zhen Jia Peihong Lei Yong Chen Yunzhen | 2007 | Chinese Geographical Science2007,17,3: | 6 |
| 2 | Typhoon events recorded in coastal lagoon deposits,southeastern Hainan Island显示文摘Coastal lagoon deposits provide evidence for the magnitude and frequency of past tropical cyclones prior to instrumental records and historical documentation.In the present study,we attempt to analyze the sedimentary records containing typhoon information for the northern South China Sea region.For this purpose,sediment cores were collected from two coastal lagoons in the southeastern Hainan Island,and were analyzed in laboratory to derive the data sets about grain size,organic and inorganic carbon contents,and deposition rates.The grain size and organic-inorganic carbon data were used to formulate the proxies of typhoon events.The deposition rates,as calculated using the CRS 210 Pb method,are around 0.5 mm/a for both lagoons,on the basis of which an age model is established.Within the cores,sedimentary layers associated with 35 typhoon events have been identified.On such a basis,a 350 year history of local typhoon activities is reconstructed by incorporating the 210 Pb dating results,typhoon-induced sedimentation patterns and the historical documents.A comparison of the frequency of typhoon occurrence with the regional climate records indicates that the observed changes in tropical cyclone activity patterns,as revealed by the lagoon sedimentary records,may be related to El Ni?o,Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO),North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO),sunspot,and other potential climate drivers that affect the tropical cyclone variability.This study demonstrates that the sedimentary record of storms can be analyzed in combination with historical documents,to provide meaningful information on past storm activities and their long-term variability. | ZHOU Liang GAO Shu YANG Yang ZHAO Yangyang HAN Zhuochen LI Gaocong JIA Peihong YIN Yong | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,4: | 6 |
| 3 | Reconstructing Environmental Changes of a Coastal Lagoon with Coral Reefs in Southeastern Hainan Island显示文摘Coastal lagoons with small catchment basins are highly sensitive to natural processes and anthropogenic activities. To figure out the environmental changes of a coastal lagoon and its contribution to carbon burial, two sediment cores were collected in Xincun Lagoon, southeastern Hainan Island and (210) ~Pb activities, grain size parameters, total organic carbon(TOC), total nitrogen(TN), total inorganic carbon(TIC) and stable carbon isotopes(δ^(13)C) were measured. The results show that in 1770–1815, the decreasing water exchange capacity with outer open water, probably caused by the shifting and narrowing of the tidal inlet, not only diminished the currents and fined the sediments in the lagoon, but also reduced the organic matter of marine sources. From 1815 to 1950, the sedimentary environment of Xincun Lagoon was frequently influenced by storm events. These extreme events resulted in the high fluctuation of sediment grain size and sorting, as well as the great variation in contributions of terrestrial(higher plants, soils) and marine sources(phytoplankton, algae, seagrass). The extremely high content of TIC, compared to TOC before 1950 could be attributed to the large-scale coverage of coral reefs. However, with the boost of seawater aquaculture activities after 1970, the health growth of coral species was severely threatened, and corresponding production and inorganic carbon burial flux reduced. The apparent enhanced inorganic carbon burial rate after 1990 might result from the concomitant carbonate debris produced by seawater aquaculture. | 4 | Digital Watermark-based Security Technology for Geo-spatial Graphics Data显示文摘The paper presents a set of techniques of digital watermarking by which copyright and user rights messages are hidden into geo-spatial graphics data, as well as techniques of compressing and encrypting the watermarked geo-spatial graphics data. The technology aims at tracing and resisting the illegal distribution and duplication of the geo-spatial graphics data product, so as to effectively protect the data producer’s rights as well as to facilitate the secure sharing of geo-spatial graphics data. So far in the GIS field throughout the world, few researches have been made on digital watermarking. The research is a novel exploration both in the field of security management of geo-spatial graphics data and in the applications of digital watermarking technique. An application software employing the pro- posed technology has been developed. | 6 | Classifying the sedimentary environments of the Xincun Lagoon,Hainan Island,by system cluster and principal component analyses显示文摘An understanding of the sedimentary environment in relation to its controlling factors is of great importance in coastal geomorphology,ecology,tourism and aquaculture studies.We attempt to deal with this issue,using a case study from the Xincun Lagoon,Hainan Island in southern China.For the study,surficial sediment samples were collected,together with hydrodynamic and bathymetric surveys,during August 2013.Numerical simulation was carried out to obtain high-spatial resolution tidal current data.The sediment samples were analyzed to derive mean grain size,sorting coefficient,skewness and kurtosis,together with the sand,silt and clay contents.The modern sedimentary environments were classified using system cluster and principal component analyses.Grain size analysis reveals that the sediments are characterized by extremely slightly sandy silty mud(ESSSM) and slightly silty sand(SSS),which are distributed in the central lagoon and near-shore shallow water areas,respectively.Mean grain size varies from 0 to 8.0Ф,with an average of 4.6Ф.The silt content is the highest,i.e.,52% on average,with the average contents of sand and clay being 43% and 5%,respectively.There exists a significant correlation between mean size and water depth,suggesting that the surficial sediments become finer with increasing water depth.Cluster analyses reveals two groups of samples.The first group is characterized by mean grain size of more than 5.5Ф,whilst the second group has mean grain size of below 3.5Ф.Further,these groups also have different correlations between mean grain size and the other grain size parameters.In terms of the tidal current,the average values of the root mean square velocity(RMSV) are 7.5 cm/s and 6.9 cm/s on springs and neaps,respectively.For the RMSVs that are higher than 4 cm/s,a significant positive correlation is found between the content of the 63–125 μm fraction and the RMSV,suggesting that the RMSV determines the variability of the very fine sand fraction.Based on system cluster and principal component analyses(PCA),the modern sedimentary environments are classified into three types according to the grain size parameters,RMSVs and water depth data.The results suggest the importance of grain size parameters and high-spatial resolution hydrodynamic data in differentiating the coastal sedimentary environments. | YANG Yang GAO Shu ZHOU Liang WANG Yunwei LI Gaocong WANG Yaping HAN Zhuochen JIA Peihong | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,4: | 1 |

| 8 | Microcolin H, a novel autophagy inducer, exerts potent antitumour activity by targeting PITPα/β显示文摘The identification of effective drug targets and the development of bioactive molecules are areas of high need in cancer therapy.The phosphatidylinositol transfer protein alpha/beta isoform(PITPα/β)has been reported to play an essential role in integrating phosphoinositide trafficking and lipid metabolism in diverse cellular processes but remains unexplored as a potential target for cancer treatment.Herein,data analysis of clinical cancer samples revealed that PITPα/βexpression is closely correlated with the poor prognosis.Target identification by chemical proteomic methods revealed that microcolin H,a naturally occurring marine lipopeptide,directly binds PITPα/βand displays antiproliferative activity on different types of tumour cell lines.Furthermore,we identified that microcolin H treatment increased the conversion of LC3I to LC3II,accompanied by a reduction of the level of p62 in cancer cells,leading to autophagic cell death.Moreover,microcolin H showed preeminent antitumour efficacy in nude mouse subcutaneous tumour models with low toxicity.Our discoveries revealed that by targeting PITPα/β,microcolin H induced autophagic cell death in tumours with efficient anti-proliferating activity,which sheds light on PITPα/βas a promising therapeutic target for cancer treatment. | Hange Yang Xiaowei Zhang Cong Wang Hailong Zhang Juan Yi Kun Wang Yanzhe Hou Peihong Ji Xiaojie Jin Chenghao Li Min Zhang Shan Huang Haoyuan Jia Kuan Hu Lingyun Mou Rui Wang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,12: | 0 |
| 9 | Prediction of protected band edge states and dielectric tunable quasiparticle and excitonic properties of monolayer MoSi_(2)N_(4)显示文摘The electronic structure of two-dimensional(2D)materials are inherently prone to environmental perturbations,which may pose significant challenges to their applications in electronic or optoelectronic devices.A 2D material couples with its environment through two mechanisms:local chemical coupling and nonlocal dielectric screening effects.The local chemical coupling is often difficult to predict or control experimentally.Nonlocal dielectric screening,on the other hand,can be tuned by choosing the substrates or layer thickness in a controllable manner.Therefore,a compelling 2D electronic material should offer band edge states that are robust against local chemical coupling effects.Here it is demonstrated that the recently synthesized MoSi_(2)N_(4)is an ideal 2D semiconductor with robust band edge states protected from capricious environmental chemical coupling effects.Detailed many-body perturbation theory calculations are carried out to illustrate how the band edge states of MoSi_(2)N_(4)are shielded from the direct chemical coupling effects,but its quasiparticle and excitonic properties can be modulated through the nonlocal dielectric screening effects.This unique property,together with the moderate band gap and the thermodynamic and mechanical stability of this material,paves the way for a range of applications of MoSi_(2)N_(4)in areas including energy,2D electronics,and optoelectronics. | Yabei Wu Zhao Tang Weiyi Xia Weiwei Gao Fanhao Jia Yubo Zhang Wenguang Zhu Wenqing Zhang Peihong Zhang | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 0 |
