1Anti-diabetic effects of linarin from Chrysanthemi Indici Flos via AMPK activation显示文摘Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the anti-diabetic effects of linarin,a flavonoid extracted from Chrysanthemi Indici Flos(CIF),and its potential mechanisms.Methods:The effects of linarin on cell viability and glucose consumption in Hep G2 cells were measured.Meanwhile,monosodium glutamate(MSG) mouse model was constructed to monitor the changes of insulin tolerance,glucose tolerance,triglyceride and cholesterol.The protein expression levels of pAMPK,p-ACC,PEPCK and p-GS were detected by Western blot.Results:Linarin could increase the relative glucose consumption of Hep G2 cells,improve insulin tolerance and glucose tolerance,and decrease the levels of triglyceride and cholesterol of MSG mice.Simultaneously,the expression levels of p-AMPK and p-ACC in Hep G2 cells and the liver tissue of MSG mice were increased,while the expression levels of PEPCK and p-GS were decreased after treatment with linarin.Conclusion:Insulin resistance could be ameliorated by linarin in type 2 diabetes,and its mechanism may be related to AMPK signaling pathway.Zhenji Wang Zhe Bai Jinghua Yan Tengteng Liu Yingmei Li Jiahui Xu Xiaoqian Meng Yuefeng Bi 2022Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,1:2
2Self-adaptive Bat Algorithm With Genetic Operations显示文摘Swarm intelligence in a bat algorithm(BA)provides social learning.Genetic operations for reproducing individuals in a genetic algorithm(GA)offer global search ability in solving complex optimization problems.Their integration provides an opportunity for improved search performance.However,existing studies adopt only one genetic operation of GA,or design hybrid algorithms that divide the overall population into multiple subpopulations that evolve in parallel with limited interactions only.Differing from them,this work proposes an improved self-adaptive bat algorithm with genetic operations(SBAGO)where GA and BA are combined in a highly integrated way.Specifically,SBAGO performs their genetic operations of GA on previous search information of BA solutions to produce new exemplars that are of high-diversity and high-quality.Guided by these exemplars,SBAGO improves both BA’s efficiency and global search capability.We evaluate this approach by using 29 widely-adopted problems from four test suites.SBAGO is also evaluated by a real-life optimization problem in mobile edge computing systems.Experimental results show that SBAGO outperforms its widely-used and recently proposed peers in terms of effectiveness,search accuracy,local optima avoidance,and robustness.Jing Bi Haitao Yuan Jiahui Zhai MengChu Zhou H.Vincent Poor 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,7:1
3Synthesis of Sn nanocluster@carbon dots for photodynamic therapy application显示文摘Recently,photodynamic therapy(PDT)has been extensively applied in clinical and coadjuvant treatment of various kinds of tumors.However,the photosensitizer(PS)of PDT still lack of high production of singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)),low cytotoxicity and high biocompatibility.Herein,we propose a facile method for establishing a new core-shell structured Sn nanocluster@carbon dots(CDs)PS.Firstly,Sn^(4+)@S-CDs complex is synthesized using the sulfur-doped CDs(S-CDs)and SnCl4 as raw materials,and subsequently the new PS(Sn nanocluster@CDs)is obtained after vaporization of Sn4+@S-CDs solution.Remarkably,the obtained Sn nanocluster@CDs show an enhanced fluorescence as well as a higher ^(1)O_(2) quantum yield(QY)than S-CDs.The high ^(1)O_(2) QY(58.3%)irradiated by the LED light(400-700 nm,40 mW/cm^(2)),induce the reduction of 4 T1 cancer cells viability by 25%.More intriguingly,no visible damage happens to healthy cells,with little impact on liver tissue due to renal excretion,both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that Sn nanocluster@CDs may become a promising PS,owning a high potential for application in PDT.Xiaolong Hu Shuna Wang Qinghua Luo Binghui Ge Qin Cheng Chen Dong Jiahui Xu Haizhen Ding Mingsheng Xu Antonio Claudio Tedesco Xin Huang Renquan Zhang Hong Bi 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:0
4Avian influenza viruses suppress innate immunity by inducingtrans-transcriptional readthrough via SSU72显示文摘Innate immunity plays critical antiviral roles. The highly virulent avian influenza viruses (AIVs) H5N1, H7N9, and H5N6 can betterescape host innate immune responses than the less virulent seasonal H1N1 virus. Here, we report a mechanism by whichtranscriptional readthrough (TRT)-mediated suppression of innate immunity occurs post AIV infection. By using cell lines, mouselungs, and patient PBMCs, we showed that genes on the complementary strand (“trans” genes) influenced by TRT were involved inthe disruption of host antiviral responses during AIV infection. The trans-TRT enhanced viral lethality, and TRT abolishmentincreased cell viability and STAT1/2 expression. The viral NS1 protein directly bound to SSU72, and degradation of SSU72 inducedTRT. SSU72 overexpression reduced TRT and alleviated mouse lung injury. Our results suggest that AIVs infection induce TRT byreducing SSU72 expression, thereby impairing host immune responses, a molecular mechanism acting through the NS1-SSU72-trans-TRT-STAT1/2 axis. 5Natural variations of OsAUX5,a target gene of OsWRKY78,control the neutral essential amino acid content in rice grains显示文摘Grain essential amino acid(EAA)levels contribute to rice nutritional quality.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying EAA accumulation and natural variation in rice grains remain unclear.Here we report the identification of a previously unrecognized auxin influx carrier subfamily gene,OsAUX5,which encodes an amino acid transporter that functions in uptake of multiple amino acids.We identified an elite haplotype of Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) that enhances grain EAA accumulation without an apparent negative effect on agronomic traits.Natural variations of OsAUX5 occur in the cis elements of its promoter,which are differentially activated because of the different binding affinity between OsWRKY78 and the W-box,contributing to grain EAA variation among rice varieties.The two distinct haplotypes were shown to have originated from different Oryza rufipogon progenitors,which contributed to the divergence between japonica and indica.Introduction of the indica-type Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) genotype into japonica could significantly increase EAA levels,indicating that indica-type Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) can be utilized to increase grain EAAs of japonica varieties.Collectively,our study uncovers an WRKY78–OsAUX5-based regulatory mechanism controlling grain EAA accumulation and provides a potential target for breeding EAA-rich rice.Yuheng Shi Yuanyuan Zhang Yangyang Sun Ziyang Xie Yu Luo Qiyuan Long Jiahui Feng Xueqing Liu Bi Wang Dujun He Junxia Ren Peizhen Guo Junwei Xing Liqiang He Alisdair RFernie Wei Chen Xianqing Liu Yuehua Luo Cheng Jin Jie Luo 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,2:0
6Sm and S Co-doping to Construct Homo-hetero Cu Catalysts for Synergistic Enhancing CO_(2) Electroreduction显示文摘Copper(Cu)is recognized as one of the most efficient metal catalysts that can perform the electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)and its surface oxidation state determines the reaction pathway.The Cuδ+(0<δ<1)species,are well known active sites in CO_(2)RR to produce hydrocarbons and oxygenates.However,Cuδ+active sites are difficult to control,and it is very easy to be reduced to Cu^(0) under CO_(2)RR operating conditions.Herein,we report a homo-hetero doping strategy to construct an efficient samarium(Sm)and sulfur(S)co-doping catalyst(Smx-CuSy)for CO_(2)RR to formic acid(HCOOH).At optimum conditions,Smx-CuSy delivered a high HCOOH Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 92.1%at the current density of 300 mA·cm^(–2) using 1 mol/L KOH aqueous solution as electrolyte,and the reduction potential was as low as–0.52 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).The co-doping of Sm and S resulted in excellent CO_(2)RR performance owing to the synergistic effect of the homo-hetero structure.The homo-doping of S could effectively adjust the electronic structure of Cu in favor of the formation of abundant Cu^(δ+)species.The existence of hetero-Sm species could not only stabilize the Cu^(δ+)sites,but also increase the concentration of H ions to form a favorable catalytic environment for HCOOH generation.Jiyuan Liu Pengsong Li Jiahui Bi Yong Wang Qinggong Zhu Xiaofu Sun Jianling Zhang Zhimin Liu Buxing Han 2023Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,12:0
7Fluorine-defects induced solid-state red emission of carbon dots with an excellent thermosensitivity显示文摘Up to date,solid-state carbon dots(CDs)with bright red fluorescence have scarcely achieved due to aggregation-caused quenching(ACQ)effect and extremely low quantum yield in deep-red to near infrared region.Here,we report a novel fluorine-defects induced solid-state red fluorescence(λ_(em)=676 nm,the absolute fluorescence quantum yields is 4.17%)in fluorine,nitrogen and sulfur co-doped CDs(F,N,S-CDs),which is the first report of such a long wavelength emission of solid-state CDs.As a control,CDs without fluorine-doping(N,S-CDs)show no fluorescence in solid-state,and the fluorescence quantum yield/emission wavelength of N,S-CDs in solution-state are also lower/shorter than that of F,N,S-CDs,which is mainly due to the F-induced defect traps on the surface/edge of F,N,S-CDs.Moreover,the solid-state F,N,S-CDs exhibit an interesting temperature-sensitive behavior in the range of 80-420 K,with the maximum fluorescence intensity at 120 K,unveiling its potential as the temperature-dependent fluorescent sensor and the solid-state light-emitting device adapted to multiple temperatures.Haizhen Ding Jiahui Xu Lei Jiang Chen Dong Qi Meng Sajid ur Rehman Junfeng Wang Zhishen Ge Vladimir Yu.Osipov Hong Bi 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,11:0
