1Microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of Nb-Si-Cr ternary alloys with a tri-phase Nb/Nb5Si3/Cr2Nb microstructure fabricated by spark plasma sintering显示文摘In this work,pure Nb,Nb_5Si_3 and Laves Cr_2Nb compound powders were used as raw materials to prepare Nb-SiCr ternary alloys by spark plasma sintering(SPS).A comprehensive estimation of the microstructure and properties,including room temperature fracture toughness,high temperature strength and oxidation resistance,of the Nb-Si-Cr ternary alloys as a function of the Nb/Nb_5Si_3/Cr_2Nb phase volume fraction combinations was conducted.The results showed that Nb-Si-Cr ternary samples with the relative density larger than 98.42% were obtained by SPS processing,and the samples all consisted of Nb,Nb_5Si_3 and Cr_2Nb phases that were distributed homogeneously.The fracture toughness K_Qof the Nb/Nb_5Si_3/Cr_2Nb microstructure,which was dominated by the Nb phase,naturally increased with the Nb fraction.As expected,the room-temperature Vickers hardness and the high-temperature strength of the bulk alloys increased monotonically with the increasing of the stiffening Nb_5Si_3 fraction.Interestingly,the binary Cr_2Nb phase played a positive role in the high temperature strength and oxidation resistance.Finally,the fracture modes of the typical Nb/Nb_5Si_3/Cr_2Nb microstructures under bending and compression conditions at room and high temperatures as well as the oxidation mechanism are described and discussed.Shasha Zhang Wei Liu Jiangbo Sha 2018Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2018,28,5:4
2Microstructure and mechanical properties of Nb-Si alloys fabricated by spark plasma sintering显示文摘This paper deals with microstructural evolutions and mechanical properties of Nb-Si binaries containing dual-phase Nb/Nb5Si3 with Nb to Nb5Si3 fraction ratios of 90:10,80:20,70:30 and 50:50,prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS).Dense Nb/Nb5Si3 samples with a relative density larger than 99.5% were obtained by SPS processing.The SPS samples consist of the Nb and Nb5Si3 phases with less than 3% fraction of NbO oxide.Hv at room temperature,and compressive strength at 1150℃ and 1250 1C of the bulk SPS alloys increase monolithically by enhancing fraction of the stiffening Nb5Si3 phase.For example,0.2% yield strength,σ0.2,increases from 175 MPa to 420 MPa at 1150℃ and from 110 MPa to 280 MPa at 1250℃,when the Nb5Si3 fraction increases from 10% to 50%.It is interesting that the fracture toughness,KQ,of the bulk SPS samples seems not to be sensitive to phase fraction.Heat treatment,however,plays a key role on the KQ as compared with that of the as-sintered state,at the corresponding Nb5Si3 fraction and considerably improves the KQ by about 100% for samples with the Nb5Si3 fractions of 10%-30%,and by about 50% for the sample with 50% Nb5Si3 fraction.Wei Liu Yongming Fu Jiangbo Sha 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,1:3
3Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2

5Oxidation behaviours of Nb–22Ti–15Si–2Al–2Hf–2V–(2, 14)Cr alloys with Al and Y modified silicide coatings prepared by pack cementation显示文摘Al and Y modified silicide coatings on the Nb-15Si-22Ti-(2,14)Cr-2Al-2Hf-2V alloys(where the alloy with 2 at%Cr or 14 at%Cr is hereafter referred to as 2Cr and 14 Cr alloy,respectively) was prepared by pack cementation.The microstructural evolution and the oxidation behaviours of the coating 2Cr and 14 Cr samples at 1250 ℃ were studied.The 2Cr alloy consists of Nb solid solution(Nb_(SS)) and α-Nb_5Si_3 silicide,while the Laves C15-Cr_2Nb phase arised in the 14 Cr alloy.The coating structure of the coating 2Cr sample contained the outer(Nb,X)Si_2+(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the middle(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer and the inner undeveloped intermetallic(Nb,Ti)_3(Al,X) layer,the structure of the coating 14 Cr sample consisted of the outer single(Nb,X)Si_2 layer,the middle(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the transition(Nb,Ti)(Cr,Al) layer and the inner(Cr,Al)_2(Nb,Ti) layer.The coating 14 Cr sample exhibited better oxidation resistance than the coating 2Cr sample.With an outer single(Nb,X)Si_2 layer,a compact oxide scale consisting of SiO_2 and TiO_2 formed on the coating14 Cr sample,which can efficiently prevent the substrate from oxidising.For the coating 2Cr sample with an outer(Nb,X)Si_2 +(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the oxide scale of the SiO_2,TiO_2,Nb_2O_5 and CrNbO_4 mixture generated,and the scale spalled out from the surface of the sample,resulting in disastrous failure.Songming Zhang Xingrui Shi Jiangbo Sha 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5:2

8Experimental studies and modeling for the transition from internal to external oxidation of three-phase Nb-Si-Cr alloys显示文摘A modified oxidation model, which assumes the cylindrical-like morphology of Cr_2Nb phase, has been proposed to examine the conditions to form external scale of three-phase Nb-base alloys in this paper. The oxidation behavior of three-phase Nb-base alloys was tested at 1250 ℃ for 1 h and 7 h, and the experimental results were compared with the simulated results. The results show that the external CrNbO_4 scale can be achieved by lengthradius ratio and volume fraction increasing for Cr_2Nb phase.
