1Paeoniflorin Attenuates Myocardial Fibrosis in Isoprenaline-induced Chronic Heart F ailure Rats via Inhibiting P38 MA PK Pathway显示文摘Paconiflorin(Pae)is a monoterpenoid glycoside compound and has many biological activitics,such as immunosuppression,anti-inflammation and anti-cell proliferation.However,the effects and mechanisms of Pae on chronic heart failure(CHF)remain unclear.This study was conducted to assess the effects and mechanisms of Pae on myocardial fibrosis in isoprenaline(Iso)-induced CHF rats.Pae(20 mgkg)was intragastrically administrated to CHF rats for 6 weeks.Cardiac structure and function were assessed.The protein and mRNA levels of transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1)and p38 were detected.C ompared to Iso group,Pae could alleviate myocardial fbrosis and improve cardiac function in CHF rats.The levels of collagen volume fraction(13.75%+3.77%vs.30.97%+4.22%,P<0.001)and perivascular collagen volume area(14.32%+2.50%v8.28.31%+3.16%,P<0.001)were significantly reduced in Pae group as compared with those in Iso group.The expression of TGF-BI protein(0.30+0.07 vs.0.66+0.07,P<0.05)and mRNA(3.51+0.44 vs.7.58+0.58,P<0.05)decreased significantly in Pac group as compared with that in Iso group.The expression of p38 protein(0.36+0.12 vs.0.81+0.38,P<0.05)and mRNA(3.84+0.05 vs.4.40+0.17,P<0.05)also decreased markedly in Pae group as compared with that in Iso group.Pae could attenuate myocardial fibrosis and improve cardiac function in CHF rats by down-regulating the p38 MAPK signaling pathway.Mao LIU Jie FENG Qian DU Jiao AI Zhan LV 2020Current Medical Science2020,40,2:11
2Road Centrality and Landscape Spatial Patterns in Wuhan Metropolitan Area,China显示文摘Road network is a corridor system that interacts with surrounding landscapes,and understanding their interaction helps to develop an optimal plan for sustainable transportation and land use.This study investigates the relationships between road centrality and landscape patterns in the Wuhan Metropolitan Area,China.The densities of centrality measures,including closeness,betweenness,and straightness,are calculated by kernel density estimation(KDE).The landscape patterns are characterized by four landscape metrics,including percentage of landscape(PLAND),Shannon′s diversity index(SHDI),mean patch size(MPS),and mean shape index(MSI).Spearman rank correlation analysis is then used to quantify their relationships at both landscape and class levels.The results show that the centrality measures can reflect the hierarchy of road network as they associate with road grade.Further analysis exhibit that as centrality densities increase,the whole landscape becomes more fragmented and regular.At the class level,the forest gradually decreases and becomes fragmented,while the construction land increases and turns to more compact.Therefore,these findings indicate that the ability and potential applications of centrality densities estimated by KDE in quantifying the relationships between roads and landscapes,can provide detailed information and valuable guidance for transportation and land-use planning as well as a new insight into ecological effects of roads.LIU Yaolin WANG Huimin JIAO Limin LIU Yanfang HE Jianhua AI Tinghua 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,4:9
3Validation of the China-PAR Equations for Cardio-cerebrovascular Risk Prediction in the Inner Mongolian Population显示文摘The objective of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of the China-PAR equations in predicting the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease(CVD) in the Inner Mongolians population. A population-based, prospective cohort of 2,589 Mongolians were followed up from 2003 to 2012.Participants were categorized into 4 subgroups according to their 10-year CVD risks calculated using the China-PAR equations: < 5%, 5%-9.9%,10%-19.9%, and ≥ 20%. The China-PAR equations discriminated well with good C statistics(range,0.76-0.86). The adjusted hazard ratios for CVD showed an increasing trend among the 4 subgroups(P for trend < 0.01). However, the China-PAR equations underestimated the 10-year CVD risk in Mongolians, and the calibration was unsatisfactory(Hosmer-Lemeshow χ~2 = 19.98, P < 0.01 for men, χ~2 = 46.58, P < 0.001 for women). 12Clustering of Inflammatory Biomarkers and Risk of Hypertension in a Mongolian Population in China显示文摘Objective There is little knowledge on whether there is clustering of inflammatory biomarkers, such as C-reactive protein (CRP), soluble intracellular adhesion molecule1-1 (sICAM-1), and angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ), in individuals with hypertension in the Mongolian population. In the present study, we investigated this relationship in a Mongolian population in China. Methods A total of 2589 adult Mongolians, aged 20 years and older, were recruited as study participants. Data on demographics, lifestyle, family history of hypertension, blood pressure, and blood chemistry were collected, and inflammatory biomarkers were measured in all participants. Results The proportion of subjects with increased levels of two or three biomarkers was significantly higher in those with hypertension (21.0% and 6.0%, respectively) than in those with prehypertension (12.7% and 0.5%, respectively) or normotension (8.1% and 0.2%, respectively). The multivariate adjusted odds ratios (95% confidence interval) of hypertension associated with increased levels of one, two or three biomarkers were 0.94 (0.72-1.22), 1.42 (0.93-2.16), and 11.08 (1.45-84.80), respectively, compared with subjects with no increase in any biomarker. 14Clinical epidemiology and disease burden of bronchiolitis in hospitalized children in China:a national cross-sectional study显示文摘Background Bronchiolitis is a common acute lower respiratory tract infection(ALRTI)and the most frequent cause of hospitalization of infants and young children with ALRTI.Respiratory syncytial virus is the main pathogen that leads to severe bronchiolitis.The disease burden is relatively high.To date,few descriptions of the clinical epidemiology and disease burden of children hospitalized for bronchiolitis are available.This study reports the general clinical epidemiological characteristics and disease burden of bronchiolitis in hospitalized children in China.Methods This study included the face sheet of discharge medical records collected from 27 tertiary children’s hospitals from January 2016 to December 2020 that were aggregated into the FUTang Update medical REcords(FUTURE)database.The sociodemographic variables,length of stay(LOS)and disease burden of children with bronchiolitis were analyzed and compared using appropriate statistical tests.Results In total,42,928 children aged 0–3 years were hospitalized due to bronchiolitis from January 2016 to December 2020,accounting for 1.5%of the total number of hospitalized children of the same age in the database during the period and 5.31%of the hospitalizations for ALRTI.The male to female ratio was 2.01:1.Meanwhile,more boys than girls were observed in different regions,age groups,years,and residences.The 1–2 year age group had the greatest number of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis,while the 29 days–6 months group had the largest proportion of the total inpatients and inpatients with ALRTI in the same age group.In terms of region,the hospitalization rate of bronchiolitis was the highest in East China.Overall,the number of hospitalizations from 2017 to 2020 showed a decreasing trend from that in 2016.Seasonally,the peak hospitalizations for bronchiolitis occurred in winter.Hospitalization rates in North China in autumn and winter were higher than those in South China,while hospitalization rates in South China were higher in spring and summer.Approximately,half of the patients with bronchiolitis had no complications.Among the complications,myocardial injury,abnormal liver function and diarrhea were more common.The median LOS was 6 days[interquartile range(IQR)=5–8],and the median hospitalization cost was 758 United States dollars(IQR=601.96–1029.53).Conclusions Bronchiolitis is a common respiratory disease in infants and young children in China,and it accounts for a higher proportion of both total hospitalizations and hospitalizations due to ALRTI in children.Among them,children aged 29 days–2 years are the main hospitalized population,and the hospitalization rate of boys is significantly higher than that of girls.The peak season for bronchiolitis is winter.Bronchiolitis causes few complications and has a low mortality rate,but the burden of this disease is heavy.Jiao Tian Xin‑Yu Wang Lin‑Lin Zhang Meng‑Jia Liu Jun‑Hong Ai Guo‑Shuang Feng Yue‑Ping Zeng Ran Wang Zheng‑De Xie 2023World Journal of Pediatrics2023,19,9:1

17Generation of Hierarchical Pores in Metal-Organic Frameworks by Introducing Rigid Modulator显示文摘The fabrication of hierarchically porous metal-organic frameworks(HP-MOFs)that combine tunable mesopore sizes with high stability is highly desired but remains a technical challenge.Herein,a facile and versatile“rigid modular-assisted defect formation”strategy has been developed to transform microporous MOFs into their corresponding HP-MOFs.By controlling the modulator dose and acid amount,the pore size and mesopore percentage can be finely regulated.Based on the hierarchical pores,the mass transfer of molecules with large sizes is significantly promoted.As a result,the representative HP-UiO-66-NH_(2)-OTf,decorated with a trifluoromethanesulfonate(OTf)group to enhance Lewis acidity,exhibits excellent activity and selectivity in tandem catalysis,far superior to pristine UiO-66-NH_(2).This work provides a novel strategy to the general synthesis of stable HP-MOFs.Zhiwen Ai Long Jiao Jingxue Wang Hai-Long Jiang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,12:1
