1An evaluation of the effects of sample size on estimating length composition of catches from tuna longline fisheries using computer simulations显示文摘Length composition analysis can provide insights into the dynamics of a fish population.Accurate quantification of the size structure of a population is critical to understand the status of a fishery and how the population responds to environmental stressors.A scientific observer program is a reliable way to provide such accurate information.However,100%observer coverage is usually impossible for most fisheries because of logistic and financial constraints.Thus,there is a need to evaluate observer program performance,identify suitable sample sizes,and optimize the allocation of observation efforts.The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of sample size on the quality of length composition data and identify an optimal coverage rate and observation ratio to improve the observation efficiency using an onboard observer data set from China's tuna longline fishery in the western and central Pacific Ocean.We found that the required sample size varies with fish species,indices used to describe length composition,the acceptable accuracy of the estimates,and the allocation methods of sampling effort.Ignoring other information requirements,1000 individuals would be sufficient for most species to reliably quantify length compositions,and a smaller sample size could generate reliable estimates of mean length.A coverage rate of 20%would be sufficient for most species,but a lower coverage rate(5%or 10%)could also be effective to meet with the accuracy and precision requirement in estimating length compositions.A nonrandom effort allocation among fishing baskets within a set could cause the length composition to be overestimated or underestimated for some species.The differences in effective sample sizes among species should be included in the consideration for a rational allocation of observation effort among species when there are different species management priorities.Jiaqi Wang Luoliang Xu Bai Li Siquan Tian Yong Chen 2020Aquaculture and Fisheries2020,5,3:4
2Au nanospheres modified boron-doped diamond microelectrode grown via hydrogen plasma etching solid doping source for dopamine detection显示文摘Boron doped diamond(BDD)electrode is a promising electrochemical material for detecting dopamine level in the human’s body.In this work,we developed a new doping source-graphite and solid boron oxide powders to synthesize BDD film with microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition,so as to avoid using toxic or corrosive dopants,such as boroethane and trimethylborate.The synthesized BDD film is pinhole free and with high doping density of 8.44×10^20 cm^-3 calculated from the Raman spectroscopy.Subsequently,Au nanospheres were decorated on the surface of BDD film to improve electrochemical performance of the BDD film.The Au nanoparticles modified BDD electrode demonstrates an excellent electrochemical response,a high sensitivity(in the range of 5μM-1 m M),and a low detection limit(~0.8μM)for detecting dopamine.Kaili Yao Xiaojun Tan Bing Dai Jie Bai Qiaoyang Sun Wenxin Cao Jiwen Zhao Lei Yang Jiecai Han Jiaqi Zhu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,14:4

4Deposition and properties of highly c-oriented of InN films on sapphire substrates with ECR-plasma-enhanced MOCVD显示文摘InN films with highly c-axis preferred orientation were deposited on sapphire substrate by low-temperature electron cyclotron resonance plasma-enhanced metal organic chemical vapor deposition (ECR-PEMOCVD). Trimethyl indium (TMIn) and N 2 were applied as precursors of In and N, respectively. The quality of as-grown InN films were systematically investigated as a function of TMIn fluxes by means of reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the dense and uniform InN films with highly c-axis preferred orientation are successfully achieved on sapphire substrates under optimized TMIn flux of 0.8 ml min 1 . 8SUMOylation-triggered ALIX activation modulates extracellular vesicles circTLCD4-RWDD3 to promote lymphatic metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Lymph node(LN)metastasis is one of the predominant metastatic routes of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and is considered as a leading cause for the unsatisfactory prognosis of patients.Although lymphangiogenesis is well-recognized as a crucial process in mediating LN metastasis,the regulatory mechanism involving lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis in NSCLC remains unclear.In this study,we employed high-throughput sequencing to identify a novel circular RNA(circRNA),circTLCD4-RWDD3,which was significantly upregulated in extracellular vesicles(EVs)from LN metastatic NSCLC and was positively associated with deteriorated OS and DFS of patients with NSCLC from multicenter clinical cohort.Downregulating the expression of EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 inhibited lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanically,circTLCD4-RWDD3 physically interacted with hnRNPA2B1 and mediated the SUMO2 modification at K108 residue of hnRNPA2B1 by upregulating UBC9.Subsequently,circTLCD4-RWDD3-induced SUMOylated hnRNPA2B1 was recognized by the SUMO interaction motif(SIM)of ALIX and activated ALIX to recruit ESCRT-III,thereby facilitating the sorting of circTLCD4-RWDD3 into NSCLC cell-derived EVs.Moreover,EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 was internalized by lymphatic endothelial cells to activate the transcription of PROX1,resulting in the lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC.Importantly,blocking EV-mediated transmission of circTLCD4-RWDD3 via mutating SIM in ALIX or K108 residue of hnRNPA2B1 inhibited the lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC in vivo.Our findings reveal a precise mechanism underlying SUMOylated hnRNPA2B1-induced EV packaging of circTLCD4-RWDD3 in facilitating LN metastasis of NSCLC,suggesting that EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 could be a potential therapeutic target against LN metastatic NSCLC.Xiayao Diao Chao Guo Hanhao Zheng Ke Zhao Yuming Luo Mingjie An Yan Lin Jiancheng Chen Yuanlong Li Yuting Li Xuehan Gao Jiaqi Zhang Mengxin Zhou Wenliang Bai Lei Liu Guige Wang Lanjun Zhang Xiaotian He Rusi Zhang Zhihua Li Changhao Chen Shanqing Li 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,12:0
9Recent advances in high-β_(N) experiments and magnetohydrodynamic instabilities with hybrid scenarios in the HL-2A Tokamak显示文摘Over the past several years,high-β_(N) experiments have been carried out on HL-2A.The high-β_(N) is realized using double transport barriers(DTBs)with hybrid scenarios.A stationary high-β_(N) (>2)scenario was obtained by pure neutral-beam injection(NBI)heating.Transient high performance was also achieved,corresponding to β_(N)≥3,ne/ne_(G)∼0.6,H_(98)∼1.5,f_(bs)∼30%,q_(95)∼4.0,and��∼0.4.The high-β_(N) scenario was successfully modeled using integrated simulation codes,that is,the one modeling framework for integrated tasks(OMFIT).In high-����plasmas,magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)instabilities are abundant,including low-frequency global MHD oscilla-tion with n=1,high-frequency coherent mode(HCM)at the edge,and neoclassical tearing mode(NTM)and Alfvénic modes in the core.In some high-β_(N) discharges,it is observed that the NTMs with m/n=3/2 limit the growth of the plasma energy and decrease β_(N).The low-n global MHD oscillation is consistent with the coupling of destabilized internal(m/n=1/1)and external(m/n=3/1 or 4/1)modes,and plays a crucial role in triggering the onset of ELMs.Achieving high-β_(N) on HL-2A suggests that core-edge interplay is key to the plasma confinement enhancement mechanism.Experiments to enhance β_(N) will contribute to future plasma operation,such as international thermonuclear experimental reactor.Wei Chen Liming Yu Min Xu Xiaoquan Ji Zhongbing Shi Xiaoxue He Zhengji Li Yonggao Li Tianbo Wang Min Jiang Shaobo Gong Jie Wen Peiwan Shi Zengchen Yang Kairui Fang Jia Li Lai Wei Wulv Zhong Aiping Sun Jianyong Cao Xingyu Bai Jiquan Li Xuantong Ding Jiaqi Dong Qingwei Yang Yi Liu Longwen Yan Zhengxiong Wang Xuanru Duan 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,5:0
10Enhanced carrier mobility in MoSe_(2) by pressure modulation显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials hold great potential for the development of next-generation integrated circuits(ICs)at the atomic limit.However,it is still very challenging to build high performance devices.One of the main factors that limit the incorporation of 2D materials into IC technology is their relatively low carrier mobility.Thus,the engineering strategies that focus on optimizing performance continue to emerge.Herein,using a spatiotemporal resolved pump-probe setup,the carrier transport performance and relaxation process of few-layer and bulk MoSe_(2) under pressure were investigated nondestructively and simultaneously.Our results show that pressure can tune the transport performance effectively.In particular,under pressure regulation,the carrier mobility of the bulk MoSe_(2) increases by~4 times;meanwhile,the carrier lifetimes of the samples become shorter.Although the processes almost return to their initial state after the pressure release,it is still surprising to see that the carrier mobilities of fewlayer and bulk MoSe2 are still~1.5 and 2 times enhanced,and carrier lifetimes are still shorter than the initial state.Combined with the Raman spectra under pressure,we consider that it is caused by the enhanced layer coupling and lattice compression.The combination of enhanced mobility and shortened lifetime in MoSe_(2) under pressure holds great potential for optoelectronic applications under the deep ocean and deep earth.Zhiying Bai He Zhang Jiaqi He Dawei He Jiarong Wang Guili Li Jinxuan Bai Kun Zhao Xiaohui Yu Yongsheng Wang Xiaoxian Zhang 2023Nano Research2023,16,11:0
11Enhanced exciton diffusion from interlayer charge-transfer transitions in PtSe2/MoSe_(2) van der Waals heterojunction显示文摘Artificial van der Waals(vdWs)heterostructures offer unprecedented opportunities to explore and reveal novel synergistic electronic and optical phenomena,which are beneficial for the development of novel optoelectronic devices at atomic limits.However,due to the damage caused by the device fabrication process,their inherent properties such as carrier mobility are obscured,which hinders the improvement of device performance and the incorporation of vdWs materials into next-generation integrated circuits.Herein,combining pump-probe spectroscopic and scanning probe microscopic techniques,the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of PtSe_(2)/MoSe_(2)heterojunction were nondestructively and systematically investigated.The heterojunction exhibits a broad-spectrum optical response and maintains ultrafast carrier dynamics(interfacial charge transfer~0.8 ps and carrier lifetime~38.2 ps)simultaneously.The in-plane exciton diffusion coefficient of the heterojunction was extracted(19.4±7.6 cm^(2)∙s^(−1)),and its exciton mobility as high as 756.8 cm^(2)∙V−1∙s^(−1)was deduced,exceeding the value of its components.This enhancement was attributed to the formation of an n-type Schottky junction between PtSe_(2)and MoSe_(2),and its built-in electric field assisted the ultrafast transfer of photogenerated carriers from MoSe_(2)to PtSe_(2),enhancing the in-plane exciton diffusion of the heterojunction.Our results demonstrate that PtSe_(2)/MoSe_(2)is suitable for the development of broadspectrum and sensitive optoelectronic devices.Meanwhile,the results contribute to a fundamental understanding of the performance of various optoelectronic devices based on such PtSe_(2)two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures.Jiarong Wang Dawei He Zhiying Bai Guili Li Jinxuan Bai Keqin Liu Fangying Ren Xiaojing Liu Jiaqi He Weiya Zhou Jianlin Sun Yongsheng Wang Xiaoxian Zhang Yuchao Yang 2023Nano Research2023,16,11:0
12Effects of drying methods on the structure and emulsifying capacity of egg yolk lecithin显示文摘The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different drying methods,including ultrasonic vacuum drying,vacuum drying,vacuum freeze-drying,hot-air drying and spray drying,on the structure and emulsifying capacity of egg yolk lecithin based on Raman spectra.The results showed that ultrasonic vacuum drying and spray drying can induce the vibration of C-N bonds in the polar O-C-C-N^(+)head skeleton of egg yolk lecithin.The shift of the peak attributed to the C-N bond from 717 cm^(−1)to 774 and 772 cm^(−1)indicated that the vibration of some C-N bonds in the O-C-C-N^(+)skeleton had transformed from gauche to trans.Ultrasonic vacuum drying exerted the most intense effect on the C-C skeleton of egg yolk lecithin,with the greatest vibration peaks at 1062 cm^(−1),1128 cm^(−1),and 1097 cm^(−1)in the Raman spectra of egg yolks.Specifically,it relieved gauche vibration and strengthened trans vibration in the C-C skeleton.Hence,the I_(gauche)/I_(trans)ratio of the egg yolk lecithin processed through ultrasonic vacuum drying decreased.Ultrasonic vacuum drying and spray drying decreased the I_(2850)/I_(2878)ratio of the vibration peak of C-H bonds in the lipid chains of egg yolk lecithin.The weakening of the symmetric stretching vibration of the C-H bond and the strengthening of antisymmetric stretching vibration indicated that orderliness among the molecular chains of lipid bilayer membranes had increased,whereas liquidity had decreased.The emulsifying capacities were highly significantly different among various egg yolk lecithin samples,in which the highest emulsifying capacity(49.58 m^(2)/g)was shown for the egg yolk lecithin prepared through vacuum freeze-drying,and ultrasonic vacuum drying produced the lowest emulsifying capacity(14.77 m^(2)/g).This study demonstrated that ultrasonic vacuum drying and spray drying drastically affected the structure of egg yolk lecithin.The appropriate drying method can be selected based on sample volume and production situation.Xiting Bai Jiaqi Gao Yu Yang Wenxue Zhu Jinling Fan 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,4:0
13ARIG inhibition improves the prognosis of liver cancer through autophagy regulation and tumor immunity enhancement显示文摘Currently, the primary treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a comprehensive treatment based on surgery.1 In the case of advanced HCC that may not be removed surgically, additional issues, such as drug resistance and drug inefficacy with long-term use of chemotherapeutic drugs, highlight the pressing need for new treatment strategies.2 Autophagy plays an essential role in cellular physiology, which was reported to modulate components of the immune system.3 Autophagy-related immune genes (ARIGs) are linked to both autophagy and immunity. Here we identified histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), an ARIG strongly expressed in HCC, as a therapeutic target.4 Then valproic acid (VPA), a specific inhibitor of HDAC1,5 was used to treat liver cancer in vitro and in vivo. The results demonstrated that VPA could significantly induce autophagy and apoptosis of Hepa1-6 cells and inhibit tumor growth in vivo. 14Experimental Investigation of Material Removal in Elliptical Vibration Cutting of Cortical Bone显示文摘To benefit tissue removal and postoperative rehabilitation,increased efficiency and accuracy and reduced operating force are strongly required in the osteotomy.A novel elliptical vibration cutting(EVC)has been introduced for bone cutting compared with conventional cutting(CC)in this paper.With the assistance of high-speed microscope imaging and the dynamometer,the material removals of cortical bone and their cutting forces from two cutting regimes were recorded and analysed comprehensively,which clearly demonstrated the chip morphology improvement and the average cutting force reduction in the EVC process.It also revealed that the elliptical vibration of the cutting tool could promote fracture propagation along the shear direction.These new findings will be of important theoretical and practical values to apply the innovative EVC process to the surgical procedures of the osteotomy.Wei Bai Yuhao Zhai Jiaqi Zhao Guangchao Han Linzheng Ye Xijing Zhu Liming Shu Dong Wang 2023Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,2:0
15Flavonol synthase gene MsFLS13 regulates saline-alkali stress tolerance in alfalfa显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) is one of the most extensively grown leguminous forage worldwide.Environmental saline-alkali stress significantly influences the growth,development,and yield of alfalfa,posing a threat to its agricultural production.However,little is known about the potential mechanisms by which alfalfa responds to saline-alkali stress.Here,we investigated these mechanisms by cloning a saline-alkali-induced flavonol synthase gene(Ms FLS13) from alfalfa,which was previously reported to be significantly upregulated under saline-alkali stress,and examining its function in the saline-alkali response.Overexpression of Ms FLS13 in alfalfa promoted plant tolerance to saline-alkali stress by enhancing flavonol accumulation,antioxidant capacity,osmotic balance,and photosynthetic efficiency.Conversely,Ms FLS13 inhibition using RNA interference reduced flavonol synthase activity and inhibited hairy root growth under saline-alkali stress.Yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase reporter assays indicated that the R2R3-MYB Ms MYB12 transcription factor activates Ms FLS13 expression by binding to the MBS motif in the Ms FLS13 promoter.Further analysis revealed that abscisic acid mediates the salinealkali stress response partially by inducing Ms MYB12 and Ms FLS13 expression,which consequently increases flavonol levels and maintains antioxidant homeostasis in alfalfa.Collectively,our findings highlight the crucial role of Ms FLS13 in alfalfa in response to saline-alkali stress and provide a novel genetic resource for creating saline-alkali-resistant alfalfa through genetic engineering.Lishuang Zhang Yugang Sun Jinqiang Ji Weidi Zhao Weileng Guo Jiaqi Li Yan Bai Dan Wang Zhe Yan Changhong Guo 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,4:0
